You guys are such a class act. I love the zero profanity and no borderline nudity. You create great content without looking and acting like a hippy commune. And on top of that, you both always look so polished and clean, unlike some of the other channels out there. Keep making great videos. Thanks for making classy entertainment in a Kardashian world. You guys are head and shoulders above the others.
What I enjoy most about you two is your irrepressible joy of life. I've watched you since your early RV adventures and watching you struggle and triumph with learning sailing shows that life is a non-stop learning experience. We are newly retired and just beginning our exploration of RVing. Thanks for your insights, your successes and your not so successful adventures. We have learned so much and gained the confidence to 'just do it' whatever we face. Loving the journey. Thanks for sharing.
I don't know if you check old comments, but I am RE-WATCHING your vlogs - the first and only vlogs to inspire to watch a second time. You two make such an amazing team and have the viewer really feeling like they're along for the sail. Cheers!
Idk if you guys will get this reference but Every episode feels like an episode of " the magic school bus " upbeat, new adventures, with a little educational aspect ! Awesome
Your videos are like fresh balm on my soul, making any day ten notches better.Quality of camerawork and narrative, never tiring, even on the longer q&as. Fair winds and kisses to the kittens
In a world seemingly so messed up, it's a joy to spend time experiencing your adventures. Thanks for your inspiration, the courage to follow your "curiosity" and being two very gracious, candid and thoughtful people. Looking forward to your "Year 2" posting and everything in between. Smooth sailing!
You guys are my absolute favourite way of procrastination, dreaming, inspiration, lifting a bad mood.. I'm at the end of my bachelors degree with my capstone project due in just a month, and all I can think about is how boring it is to write and how much more fun it is to figure out how I can buy a Leopard (only boats i've found within a decent price range with a good, proper kitchen), and go sailing. But alas, 'twill be many years from now.. I am taking a sailing class this summer though! Testing my sea stomach a bit more ;) Happy anniversary. You guys are my favourite.
Followed you off and on over the year but binging since the start of the sailing adventure. I am a bit of a coffee nerd and I appreciate you desire for good coffee. Re-mineralizing your RO water will definitely up your coffee game, minerals are need to aid extraction. Cheers and safe travels!
I know Im well out of date, but a quick tip about growing stuff onboard. Try growing a variety of cress, weather you have full sun or just a tiny bit, they grow within a few days an have heaps of vitamins :)
I've made a few videos for RUclips and I really do not like the time and effort it takes to do it. So EVERY video I watch I give a LIKE too it. At the time of me writing this there are 17009 views of this video Only 10 % gave a like. That is pretty SAD as I know people like Jason and Nikki put a LOT of work into their videos. COME ONE PEOPLE Likes help the channels of those content CREATORS. Really enjoy your videos, Jason and Nikki. Thanks
I love your videos. Never stop being you! I live aboard myself in the Annapolis area and have been considering switching from a Trawler to a sailboat for awhile in dreaming of Long distance cruising and economies of scale. Since watching your videos starting over a month ago I think a cat will fit the bill as I too am not a sailor but have sailed. Time to learn and hopefully one day stay in one of your cabins to get the ultimate experience!
I get sea sick on a raft in a pool! Then why am I stuck watching you videos? Who knows, just keep having fun and adventures. Fair winds and following seas. O'h, May the 4th be with you!
I can't believe its been a year! I found your videos when you were planning to sell the RV and get the boat, its been an amazing trip! Cant wait to see whats to come :D
as far as growing plants on the boat, you could look into something like an aerogarden. they are electric, but i suspect you'd be able to ditch the lights and just use it for the watering aspect. Set it on deck and you could probably grow tons of cherry tomatos, chile's and strawberries, or even leafy greens and herbs. just a thought.
Wynns, I've followed sailing vlogs from early on and blogs long before that and I thought this video was perfect. I followed you and Chris & G from the RV world (my original obsession, the RV) and when yall anounced a switch to sails I had to laugh. The two of you really make a great team.

I think it has a lot to do with the fact that it's great content with no drama and borderline nudity that is present in a few other channels. But it's always fun to watch these videos!
Great video ...AGAIN! Congratulations on your first year. Great job. Really good questions and answers. Thanks as always. I love your approach to life. I love boating too so that helps!
Cheers there is no debate about Cat vs Mono you buy and sail what you want! They both serve the purpose difference is in the details and that is individual choice. Cheers keep up the good work!!
Rod here, TWO QUESTIONS PLEASE, one serious and one silly and fun. 1. Serious question please, If one day you caught a large 150lb bluefin tuna and he died in the process of pulling him aboard, would you clean and store all of his meat for later consumption? Or would you throw much of him back into the ocean for other fish to consume, like many other sailors do? 2. Silly fun question please. Zombie Apocalypse, or worst human plague (take your pick) ever, has stranded you out at sea for about 5 years. Assuming you can make water for the entire duration at sea could you learn to live solely on fish and sea plants? I do not see any other question similar to mine, so please have fun and answer my questions, lol. Thank you...
you two are fun and informative entertaining and a joy to watch you two are great and inspirational soon I i will be on my way leaving the bay that i have been living for 54 years time to sail away and see the world. maybe i will be able to catch up to you two some time. thank your videos.
We've been watching you for a while and decided to go back to the start of your sailing adventures. My question is... how many bathing suits does Nikki own?! I don't think I've seen the same one twice! 😁 We love the beauty of your videography. Hope 2022 is a good year for you. Xxx
Congratulations and happy Sailaversary!!! ... wishing you continued good health and safe sailing. Your adventures are inspirational. Thank you for sharing.
Super happy to see you two mid week BONUS!!! Sorry to hear about the zero ice cream situation...doh! I have a feeling it will be rectified faster than the other issues (inverter)! Sometimes things happen for a reason like the AC being down; before the AC can cool the air in a space effectively it has to dehumidify the air first, forcing/stressing your body to work harder to compensate, resulting in the sniffles or a cold. I know you need it for you cats, so I would get some better UV tint in the windows or those white pinhole shade covers. Maybe some cooling pads for me to rest on? Also most new large industrial AC units employ soft start tech to prevent the large initial draw on start ups with load max on the system, protecting the rest of the power equipment on that local system from almost full power drops. About RO water and it's long term effects on the body, there is a legal reason why retail producers must re-mineralize the RO water they sell to a specific minimal standards. Water is a very special compound because of it's strong bonds; when you remove the minerals you increase that potential reactive energy available, making RO water want to pull minerals out of your body (like sweating lots does). Now about sunscreen, I would encourage good people like yourselves to find the stuff with out vitamin E; it is so good at healing damaged skin tissue that it can cause some cells to come back like zombie cells (skin cancer). For sunburns use vinegar (mild acid forces the pealing), in the shower with goggles (bad for eyes only) to remove the damaged skin, actually feels good/ relieving pain and removes the heat too (repeat if burn is bad and still has heat in it). Sorry for the long comment.
I've found the best way to change money is your own bank, or an affiliated bank's ATM overseas these days. Far better than other money exchange methods usually. Obviously in more remote regions ATMs may be rare.
Ok nice couple, I did my homework!! I watched all the catamaran videos and most of the RV ones. Fascinating story. I encourage you to keep going ahead with your plans and do not let fears of others to stop your dream of sailing round the world. Think of Laura Decker, the 14 year old dutch girl who did it!!. Go West as you plan ( the north of South America, Panama Canal, Galapagos in Ecuador, French Polynesia, Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia, South East Asia, The Maldives and of course The Emirates where you both can stay in our home for a few days!. Continue on the Red Sea and enter the Mediterranean Sea..... after that, Canary Islands, The Azores and 21 days later you are back in the Antilles..... From my side the adventure is about to begin.....
Sure doesn't seem like a year I have enjoyed your videos for over two years thanks for thanks for sharing your knowledge. Wished I had known you were going to Decatur last year I would have looked forward to meeting you
The thing that really draws me to sailing versus RVing is the sheer potential of HOW far and how long you can go. RV's mostly US, the southern parts of Canada, Mexico, and then you start running into some really challenging circumstances. (Darién Gap probably among the hardest -- 60 miles of swamp where there's no road, only mosquitos and FARQ.) But boats, man.... You can get ANYWHERE with enough planning and time, and river access.
Still catching up and this, well another stellar content creation !! My bride and I have decided to contact Kent as our buyer's broker towards the end of this year as we begin to purchase and move aboard. 😊👍👌⛵️⚓️⛵️⚓️🍷☕️
Great very informative video. It was very helpful. I have been sailing since 2000 but mostly day sailing and a lot of racing. Someday I would like to go cursing. Your comment on chartering a boat is a great idea. Have fun and be safe.
One question I have for a future Q&A or now if you wish, is, do you worry about safety? I imagine you will eventually get to places that are not as safe as the Bahamas and what if any precautions will you take? Also, I have always wondered how your clothes stay so nice as Niki said a few vids back that she just basically shoves her clothes into the closet :) Now I know! Thanks for the tip.
Another great Q&A session. However we need a Q&A session.from the Cats prospective 1) do we get sea sick? 2) what type of sunscreen do we use mom use on us? 3) does Niki share any of the fish she doesn't always catch? 4) will Jason make me share my bedroom with a visiting Patreon? Curiosity followers are curios to hear if life of the Cats, on a cat, is all smooth sailing? Richard m/v Oh Happy Days
1) not yet 2) Fur Babies 3) every time 4) Singa gets to paws up or paws down all Patreon crew submissions Cat life on a cat isn't purrfect. We would like more fish & less spray while underway.
Great video as always love your spirit heard you mention Androes island in the Bahamas did you get to go anywhere there I used to work at a resort called small hope bay some of the best scuba I ever did keep on having fun guys can't wait to see the next video
Nothing wrong with seeking sponsors... Your providing a very different style of travel entertainment... TV travel programs have sponsor's, so should you... Cover everything you use on your trek... Even BOOZE !!! I got it... Both of you can model appeal, footwear, swim suits... You Definitely Have The Looks For It.... Imagine standing mid bow gently holding onto that center mast cable... Your wearing evening wear and holding a cocktail while a slight breeze blows past and your quietly observing the sunset... No kissing, your 007 adventurers... Slowly move camera 360° around you if you have qualified help... Otherwise Place camera at various locations around you... Then a close up of a full bottle of Woodford Brand Bourbon sitting on the deck with your feet a few feet beyond and slightly out of focus... Film It, Edit It, Send It... Like the most exciting man who does those beer commercials... Title It: The Most Exciting Couple Of The High Seas... I DARE You To Become Famous... Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained !!!
Super love all your adventures but really enjoy Q&As. I rarely see you in the same outfit twice! I know those closets are tiny and I wondered where you keep everything?
Why would inverter issues cause your ac not to work? does your ac run off 120? how often do you run your ac while connected to shore power? sounds like it's time to swap out that ac motor to a dc and stop loosing all that inefficiency of inverting. DC from the panels, stored in DC on the batteries and used in DC = best way
What do you guys do about getting health insurance during your travels, especially since you plan on visiting so many countries? What are the expenses for that?
It's on the post under the question posed and in the gear store as off grid air conditioning: www.gonewiththewynns.com/product/air-conditioning-off-grid
Hi Nikki & Jason ... been following your channel since your early days of RVing. Wasn't sure if I would find the sailing videos that interesting ... but I am ... and, it's to your credit in the subject matter and footage that you've chosen. Too bad the drone is out of commission. :-( I already lived my dream by living/working on Grand Cayman as a scuba instructor in my younger days. You may be in the area while heading down to Costa Rica/Panama, and if you do, scuba diving at Cayman is excellent!! Very expensive island though. Not finished dreaming though and should be able to start full-time RVing in about a year down the road. Yes, the pun is intended ;-) Cheers, Steve
I like your Q&A's. Did you do that pretty much in one take? Aren't your generators so big that you don't need a smart start? I use one to run my air conditioning off a single Honda eu2000i.
How big is your diesel generator? Do you run the diesel generator to top up the batteries daily when not running the engine? Why not just plug the air conditioning into the generator instead of flattening the batteries by running an inverter all the time? How many hours of air conditioning do you get before you have to turn on the diesel generator to recharge them?

In my book, you are 'handy', it's something I noticed when you first started this boat adventure. Best of luck.
Thanks for explaining the Patreon system in this vid. I had never spent much time on the website. We are signed up now!
Hard to believe its been a year already. Happy for you guys and I really enjoy watching your videos. Thanks

Awesome Video. You always say it like it is, love that. Wishing you many happy & safe travels.
I leased a Gemini and there is no comparison you made the right choice.
I love starting my daily jail term (aka work day) with your videos. Thanks for posting!
Well done video. The realities of live aboard being just another style of living are well expressed here.
Been backpacking, tent camping, RVing, looking forward to sailing.
Great Q&A! You guys are an inspiration!
as far as growing plants on the boat, you could look into something like an aerogarden. they are electric, but i suspect you'd be able to ditch the lights and just use it for the watering aspect. Set it on deck and you could probably grow tons of cherry tomatos, chile's and strawberries, or even leafy greens and herbs. just a thought.
You two have accomplished more sailing related things in one year than we have in a lifetime! Congratulations an see you soon!
hi guys, happy sailingversary, I thought you guys we're heading down to P.R. and the virgin islands to explore those beautiful spots and grounds......
I re-watch these all the time.
Love your furry supervisor.
Wynns, I've followed sailing vlogs from early on and blogs long before that and I thought this video was perfect. I followed you and Chris & G from the RV world (my original obsession, the RV) and when yall anounced a switch to sails I had to laugh. The two of you really make a great team.
Need that soft start thing now. Thanks for mentioning it. Going to read the blog now. You two are awesome keep it up !!!
One of the things I liked most about Kent from the outset is that he was obviously trying to steer you towards a boat which was the best compromise for you, rather than a boat from which he might potentially derive the best commission.
While your Leopard may have filled that bill as well I just didn't get the impression that was what Kent was about.
This was evidenced by 'the dirty brokers trick' Jason focused on while you were evaluating various boats.
My interpretation was more a case of Kent subtly influencing your inevitably naïve perceptions in beneficial ways.
Due to his sanguine nature he simply shrugged off an understandable misconception on Jason's part with his remark "and this is around the same price as the Leopard".
The choices people make, are the most reliable métier by which we form our opinions about them and in my estimation Kent is as solid as someone who derives their income on a commission basis could get.
All the extra yards Kent went to help you guys in so many ways after you purchased your boat did not serve to remove any doubt because doubt was never there whereas his consistent trust-worthiness and generosity always was.
I hope to buy a catamaran when I retire in the near future and am impressed by Leopard boats, if possible, Kent will be someone I will try to engage as an intermediary.
I am not sailor or experienced boater; however, it appears that you found a very practical vessel in terms of fit. The 'cockpit' is sheltered from storms and sun. The draft and surface dimensions allow access to a variety of adventure spots. Choosing a larger or smaller vessel likely would have resulted in management issues that would 'take away' from your journey. Transferring your learned experience from RVs to Curiosity surely eased the transition. Learning 'the hard way successfully' is the best way. Of significance is the control you have over your environment and the ability to share it in comfort. Taking care of your environment in a respectful manner is a big element of your experience - cleanliness & lack of clutter prevail. All the best from Ontario, Canada where it is 10C, cloudy and raining for three days.
why don't these people have more sub's??? They are so inspirational and fun!
Well I think submarines are rather higher maintenance than a cataraman.
Well, for starters, viewers need to LIKE and SHARE. ...but I agree, I think their SUB count should be a lot higher
Im thinking the same thing!
I think it has a lot to do with the fact that it's great content with no drama and borderline nudity that is present in a few other channels. But it's always fun to watch these videos!
Jeff Keiper sad, but probably true.
Very good I'm still looking forward for the video of your inverter and solar setup
Love to watch your sailing video's and hear the interesting questions you answer. What a great life, looking forward to Costa Rica adventures.
Great video ...AGAIN! Congratulations on your first year. Great job. Really good questions and answers. Thanks as always. I love your approach to life. I love boating too so that helps!
Y'all should sell stickers with your logo! I want one!
Cheers there is no debate about Cat vs Mono you buy and sail what you want! They both serve the purpose difference is in the details and that is individual choice. Cheers keep up the good work!!

Great, Great video! Thanks for making it guys/gals! JC
Wow one year! Great job!
Great video and straight forward answers. Thanks for keeping it real and thanks again for sharing your thoughts, wisdom and adventure.
You guys are great! Keep on truckin' !
Love the videos, it's like the show glee is back on the air
great video.
you guys along with the crew of the Delos I'm inspired to get my own boat. thanks guys
We've been watching you for a while and decided to go back to the start of your sailing adventures. My question is... how many bathing suits does Nikki own?!

We love the beauty of your videography. Hope 2022 is a good year for you. Xxx
Love the lighting in this video. That spinnaker is a great light diffuser! :)
Congratulations and happy Sailaversary!!! ... wishing you continued good health and safe sailing. Your adventures are inspirational. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for this awesome place to learn stuff.....and have fun doing it!!
You both are natural content creators!
Super happy to see you two mid week BONUS!!!

Sometimes things happen for a reason like the AC being down; before the AC can cool the air in a space effectively it has to dehumidify the air first, forcing/stressing your body to work harder to compensate, resulting in the sniffles or a cold.
Informative Q and A
Thank you, love, love your videos.
Nikki has great taste in hats!
Amen.
You're going to love Costa Rica! Be sure to hit Flamingo Beach, the only white sand beach on the Pacific. 😊😊😊😊😊
Congrats Wynns!!
Your response about the diffiCULTy of mail delivery while afloat reminded me about the "Cargo Cult." An interesting bit of history worth Googling.
dang...info overload...love it!
Always considered you two generally capable... definitely.
I love your videos!
I drink lots of coffee several pots a day. Coffee is something I enjoy throughout the day. Which coffee maker do you suggest for my RV.
When you get to Florida, will you have a meet and greet, and where do you think that might be (at the local coffee slash ice cream shop)?
yesssss do that
GREAT IDEA !!!!!!!!!
Great video. I wonder if the percentage that you indicated to upfit the vessel applies to RVs for "full time" use?
Still catching up and this, well another stellar content creation !! My bride and I have decided to contact Kent as our buyer's broker towards the end of this year as we begin to purchase and move aboard. 😊👍👌⛵️⚓️⛵️⚓️🍷☕️
Great videos you two! Love that you guys look great , sailing on a Cat and with Cats! Love your videos!
Great very informative video. It was very helpful. I have been sailing since 2000 but mostly day sailing and a lot of racing. Someday I would like to go cursing. Your comment on chartering a boat is a great idea. Have fun and be safe.
Have you tried kitty grass for the cats. Maybe you could store a few and treat them now and again?
Congratulations on living your dream!
Sorry I don’t wear my reading glasses like I should. Sorry about misspelling your last name.
Adorable hat!!!
One question I have for a future Q&A or now if you wish, is, do you worry about safety? Wouahou !! It's the first time I see your video, it's awesome !!
Take your time in Belize. 2nd largest reef in the world! Make sure you get a "Boil Up".
Another great Q&A session.
However we need a Q&A session.from the Cats prospective
1) do we get sea sick?
2) what type of sunscreen do we use mom use on us?
3) does Niki share any of the fish she doesn't always catch?
4) will Jason make me share my bedroom with a visiting Patreon?
Curiosity followers are curios to hear if life of the Cats, on a cat, is all smooth sailing?
Richard
m/v Oh Happy Days
1) not yet
2) Fur Babies
3) every time
4) Singa gets to paws up or paws down all Patreon crew submissions
Cat life on a cat isn't purrfect. We would like more fish & less spray while underway.
Hey do you guys know Stevio1kinevo? He gave you two a shout out while flying through the Bahamas in a recent video
Yes, I saw that one also!

Have you guys thought about doing an aerogaden on the boat?
It's all about the organization. I show my (Nikki) closet for a quick second on our boat tour vid. www.gonewiththewynns.com/curiosity-sailboat
Affogatos...to die for👍👍
Just wondering if I missed it, but the link to SoftStart I think it was that you two mentioned?
It's on the post under the question posed and in the gear store as off grid air conditioning: www.gonewiththewynns.com/product/air-conditioning-off-grid
Ahh, thank you, I must of missed it then.
Hi Nikki & Jason ... been following your channel since your early days of RVing. Wasn't sure if I would find the sailing videos that interesting ... but I am ... and, it's to your credit in the subject matter and footage that you've chosen. Too bad the drone is out of commission. :-(
I already lived my dream by living/working on Grand Cayman as a scuba instructor in my younger days. You may be in the area while heading down to Costa Rica/Panama, and if you do, scuba diving at Cayman is excellent!! Very expensive island though.
Not finished dreaming though and should be able to start full-time RVing in about a year down the road. Yes, the pun is intended ;-)
Cheers,
Steve
Happy Sailversary, I hope nothing expensive breaks on you. I did not hear mention of the composting head. How is that holding up on the boat?
Thanks
I like your Q&A's. Did you do that pretty much in one take? Aren't your generators so big that you don't need a smart start? I use one to run my air conditioning off a single Honda eu2000i.
Slow Boat Sailing They are running the air-conditioning off their batteries. Fuel is expensive in the islands.
I doubt they have enough power generating capacity to not run the generator to top up the batteries. No power means dead batteries.
We don't run the AC a lot, but we do run it off batteries. Thus, LiOn and soft start.
