Your neat personalities makes any topic interesting, fun to watch and you go an extra mile to make sure its covered well. You two are an outstandingly fun and intelligent team.
Fascinated with how your cat stays with you rather than climbing the tree or going off into a hidey hole where he is hard to catch to bring back home. And, why he isn’t jumping onto the boat next to you to go exploring. He is such a beautiful cat and apparently super smart!
Been following you both for quite a while now and think of you as really good friends - which is silly really as, of course, we've never met and may never do so. Over the years you've become more confident, more knowledgeable and now more adventurous and it's a privilege to be able to accompany you on this fascinating journey, so a huge thank you for that. The Q&A was a great insight into the challenges you face and overcome each day since you've moved from tarmac onto the water. When you decide to head east, there'll be a warm welcome waiting for you on the west coast of England! Thanks again, you really are quite an inspiring couple.
You look healthy if a bit stressed, but you are going through an expected and predictable set of stressors that will obviously move like the water moves around you. Sending you love and I'm glad that you are aware of your impact on the world as you go through it - its one of your true beauties that stands out. You are brave and fun people.
Today after watching, I have to say that I probably follow four different Sailing the world type subscriptions and for a man with a family which I am seriously considering taking up live aboard with, You two have simply made the difference between day dreams and true planning. The information is very useful. I can relate to your feed back. Especially in this FAQ post!! Taking the time to share your purchase, survey, moving into, learning to sail, and then a few experiences, makes me confident it doesnt take some crazy single 24 yr old saltwater freak to live on a boat and explore the world. My wife and I lived in a Rv for 6 years. I love the ocean we live in florida, and getting out there is something we both have real interest in. Maybe well see you on the water some day. Never listen to the haters, and thanks for all your sharing with us!!!
+jim28fl thanks! We try to share it all, the mistakes, the hassles and expenses all side by side with the adventures. I'm glad you're enjoying our new life on the water, hope to see you out here in the future.
I wrote a few days ago WoW just look at how many views you guys have ( that was at 35,057 if I recall and now your past over 47,000 ) and still climbing. Keep up the great job and make sure not only to keep entertaining us nosey viewers but keep having fun together. You have just begun another new adventure for all of us. We will all keep growing with you both. Thank You both, from myself & my therapy K-9 Cooper, Cheers
I really appreciate the depth you go into your videos about the cost of this new adventure. Some of the other sailors on You Tube seem to forget about this as they continue their adventures. Paying for your new life on deck is I believe one of the main uncertainties many people face. So when you continue your amazing new lifestyle and make these wonderful videos for us, I wanted to tell you thank you for the little bit of the "cost" you add in.
I just want you to know that I feel like I'm living vicariously through you and your adventures. I admire you and your spunk and how you get things done that you want to do. You are living a life worthwhile
WOW just look at how many Views you both have now and still growing. Congrats it sure looks like you both made another great decision and the Q&A idea was and is another great idea. Keep feeding all of us nosey subscribers the information we long for.....Cheers
Tony & Susan here from Michigan. We just took sailing class 101 & 103. We plan on retiring in a few years and live aboard. Lots of good information from watching your videos. I’m always excited to see the next one! Safe travels!
We enjoy all your videos. We've followed you since your RV days. I appreciate the educational aspects of your productions. We admire your courage to tackle a whole new challenge. Stay safe and thank you for your videos!
It was much better than what I had thought this Q&A was going to be. Was going to play it will I did other stuff around the room here, but found my eyes glued to the screen. Simple, yet quite informative.
Great Q & A, please keep them coming. I am very interested in the Lithium power cells and the gray water filter. Can you show it in a future video? Enjoy all your videos you two rock.
Com up to the Chesapeake Bay. Sailing here is a dream. Big wind, obedient waves, wonderful spring temps. The perfect sail to put you in Maine for the summer.
Don't want to sound like a know it all but I was always told when your moving to the dock over someone other persons boat you always go forward of the mast. This means you don't go through someones cockpit and invade their privacy.
So, So, Sooooooooo HAPPY for the Both of You...!!! Your truly Blessed with such AWESOME & AMAZING Lifestyles (1st RV + 2nd Catamaran)... AND... You SHARE em With ALL of us Folks, PROFESSIONALLY & BRILLIANTLY...!!! I'm certain that you guys are completely grateful with the incredible Traveling, the Over-The-Top Vehicles And all the exciting places in which the Doorways & Pathways of Life has literally Opened Up in your Favor... NOW, with all that stated... I Hope & Pray that either of You DO NOT Ever Become Lackadaisical or "Jaded" WITH the Incredible in ANY Shape or Form... AND...
PLEASE Thank Your MAKER Daily.... FOR... BEING There To Open Those DOORS Of BLESSINGS and, In CLEARING Those Many PATHWAYS That MADE The ROAD of LIFE That Much Smoother, BEFORE You...!!! Peace...😋
I 'm a brand new subscriber although I got lots of RV information over the years since becoming of aware of you two. I'm so very proud of your zest for living and your ability and thirst seeking life's wonder. Keep going, I'm with you in spirit.(stop every now and again to appreciate how wonderful you are.)
Your videos never fail to make me smile! Definitely enjoyed the Q & A. Will look over on your website to see if you talk about having to board another persons boat to get off of yours. I would find that awkward and I don't know if I would be so accommodating if it were my boat. You both do a great job with making and editing videos! Keep smiling, Valerie
this is just part of boating. when at crowded or government docks you raft up and you go over the other boat. but there is agreed method to this. if possible you walk over the bow so you dont disturb the other boat and walk softly. and always wipe your feet.
I have an out side shower and love it. It's the hose I use to spray my boat off LOL and I give my K-9 a bath or cool him down at times also. Love your videos you have a new hit again , Cheers
I love your videos, it's great to hear your opinions about living on the boat and the things you're learning as you go along. Very inspirational but also realistic.
I admire you two for pursuing your dreams. My wife and I plan to go sailing in the near future as well. I noticed that with sharing our journey on RUclips, there may be negative people and rude comments. How do you deal with those? I don't know that I could remain civil if a rude person said something personal or insulting. You're sharing your lives with the world after all, and even though there are many wonderful people out there, there are also some with little to no manners. Love what you're doing, and watching you both deal with the learning curve. Fair winds to you.
If you put your personal life up on RUclips, you WILL be criticized, torn apart and harassed. Think twice if you're the kind of person that can handle it and act accordingly...
I understand that you can ignore them. I just noticed that there are so many people who have nothing nice to say to these nice people. I was always taught that if you have nothing nice to say, that it is best to be quiet.
Michael Samuel Let people do as they see fit. Many people do it as way a of relieving stress. Personaly when I am stressed I troll some people on a random forum.
Awesome video. Keep them coming because I think you guys are doing a phenomenal job explaining the good, bad, and lessons learned! Much love to you guys! See you on the water.
Hi again...I like to keep my responses short as many others echo how much I am enjoying your journey, however I'll add, you two are a class act & thanks for all the effort.
You two are filled with enthusiasm! Buying your dream home/boat must play a part in it! It's contagious. It's 3 years later. Any current plans? I'm relieved that I'd seen more recent vids before taking off and reading new ones! Not necessary!
I really love watching your video's. You two can make living in a cardboard box sound exciting I swear. Thank you for sharing your journey with us all. I get excited when I see you have posted a new video and can't wait for the next one. Be safe out there
Loved the Q&A!! No suffering at all. Was a little worried when you abandoned the RV, but have found the transition to the boating world quite fascinating. Thanks!
It might be a little bit too early for you to sail around the world but in a year or two, you will feel more confident to go further away. There is really no limit to where you can go from now on
I keep thinking "There's got to be one of your videos where I don't find myself continually smiling through the whole thing," but so far the "grin factor" seems to be permanent. Delightful vid. All the best, Mick McCoy
So great guys, we loved the video. We are new cruisers as a family and I love the behind the scenes VLOG of your new boat. Definitely a step up from our 30' but an inspiration to keep going regardless! Regards.
You two are amazing and I wonder how anyone can disagree with anything that you say :-) following the two of you almost makes me what to go sailing again.
Like someone below said, it makes me smile every time I watch one of your vids. Like Joe Miholics says, "I'm happy for you two", but I'm also jealous of you two. You two are living an old, old dream of mine, so keep the videos coming. I'm living vicariously through you.THANKS, THANKS, THANKS
Hey Guys, thanks for that Q&A. Though we ourselves don't plan to go sailing (except on cruise ships) we enjoy your take on the lifestyle and understanding your joys and challenges. Have been finding ways myself to translate your experiences back into RVing. Thanks again for sharing your sailing lifestyle and awesome positive attitudes! Peace
the video was great and very helpful. I have been sailing for 16 years but mostly day sailing and racing. It nice to see different options and how things really work. when I retire I am considering cruising the keys and Bahamas for a few weeks at a time. You provide a great deal of information it is so helpful.
Q&A's are very cool for those that may feel it is too much to become a live-aboard, they may find through your responses that it can be a very creative way of life with many options of where you might want to be in the world. You can spend years simply moving around the Greek islands. I look forward to more of your basic discoveries now that you're a live-aboard, thanks.
Excellent! I loved it! It's the little things that interest me. Of course I'm looking forward to your adventures too. It's really fun to see you living life day to day. I love that dress on you.
I love your show and this one is my favorite of the videos. The question and answer as well as being able to watch you progress is outstanding. Thank you for sharing all of it!
Love the Q and A’s! I am chronically ill and homebound so I adore these videos. I feel like I am right there with you guys. It’s the perfect escape for me.
A lot of cruisers myself included have had problems with bugs loving paper and cardboard. It's a good idea to remove can labels and cardboard from food packages, they don't seem to be attracted to regular paper like they are food paper products.
Very interesting video! Your Q and A was so informative. Most of these little details are completely unknown to the rest of us and I hardly know what to ask. Thank you!
How about the cost? Staying in a marina vs RV park? The cost of marine equip. vs. RV? One of the things that prevented me from buying a larger sail boat here in Fl. was the cost of slip space.
Great video. Glad you are really enjoying and embracing your new life. We are boaters who recently switched to motorcycles and are now dreaming of the Rv life. So backwards from your journey. But still totally can relate to your desire to seek out the next new thing and living every day as it comes and to the fullest. Real proud of you on the great transition. Looked hard at first but you seem to becoming more and more sailors. Can't wait to see the day when you totally forget about any fashion sense and just appear in the same tshirt from last week. Way to go Wynns!
Thanks for that video! We love them all and watch every single one you guys post! We also had a lot of those same questions so we're glad you did the Q&A and answered them. and BTW, We are also on our own little adventure and living in our vintage trailer that we fixed up. We are finishing school right now and plan to be traveling with it more next summer! We have posted videos of our trailer remodeling and experiences here on youtube as well and can't wait to post more!
Rob I will not disagree, but the anchor is half the equation. I have two anchors on my Gulf 32 that displaces 18K #s - (1) Standard steel Fortress traditional anchor and (2) a Lewmar plow/claw. Bottom conditions (mud) usually called for the standard and I would drag anchor often. What I changed was the chain rode length (doubling on this) and the problem was solved. A large anchor works, but an anchor suited for displacement using additional chain rode will give you a good rest.Cheers
oh you could drink alot of beer on this one. how many evenings we have spent talking about whos anchor is better and how big a chain to have and how much to use. my motto is get the biggest hook your boat can carry and the biggest chain. i want to grab the bottom and not let go. our Cat is just 3 feet shorter then the Winds and it is 20k lbs full with all tanks topped off. so we can lighten that by 3 ton if we drop all the water and fuel. we have a Rocna 33 and Sarca Excel for a 59ft boat. Cats have more windage so we go big. and we always put down 5 to 1 if we can. but we have had to spend lots of nights at 3 to 1. i think i need another beer. no one ever wins this discussion.
You are correct Ice Bear and it was in one such discussion I got the rode advice. The anchor was rated for much more than the boat and extending the rode solved my problem. Never meant to brag on my anchor, but since you have that other beer in you I can relay a story. Happened eight years ago. I was anchored just off the metro airport runway when a 747 radioed an emergency. His mid-flight test of rear thrusters failed and he only had 3300 feet to safely land the plane including 270 souls. I tuned him in on CB (FAA approved Ch 47) and suggested he drop his tail hook just before landing. I checked the anchor a minute before, tied a bowline on the main sheet end, tossed and lassoed his tail hook. The plane stopped seventeen feet after the wheels touched. The anchor held and only 214 souls had to change their underwear, but all survived. I had to replace the main sheet, but Pan Am gladly paid half. Have another beer my friend - Cheers!!!
oh yes... awesome vlog... really excited about your new adventures... your Cat (boat) is beautiful... so are your kitties... can't wait to see ya sail !
What a happy couple... happy life.... and all the happy filling and feeling videos! Always feeling happy on watching your videos!!! Ah! You both have been living at a RV to a boat.... will it be a blimp next?
Thanks enjoy your shows. I find it funny that some sailing couples make fun of your neat and tidy life style. I for one think it is cool and think you are a great couple, plucky and full of fun. Absolutely love the boat.
I just got back a week ago from 3 weeks in the Orlando area(I flew there). 98 degrees and 90% humidity. I'm back in California now. I'm planning to head back mid this month to early Oct in the RV for a few months(or longer). I've got a number of stops to make on the way and a few on the way back. I'm taking the southern route east and then the northern route when I return to California. All of this hopefully to capitalize on the good weather months in Florida with family. I don't know how they live there year round. You're never dry. You just change the pH of the moisture on your body with constant showering.
I'm new to your channel and I absolutely love watching all that your are doing and experiencing. Your videos are inspirational....I might not follow your exact path but it sure inspires me to follow my own! Keep up the good work!!!!
Love the videos thank you. Attitude determines altitude. And you two are always so positive. Glad to see things coming along. Congrats on passing your tests and your accomplishments in sailing. Wish you all the best. Will be telling my friends to subscribe.
I would love to see all your clothes collection and makeup collection and all that, to see how your everyday life is changing when on the road and in a relatively confined space, rather than stationary in a large house (though granted your boat is HUGE! And gorgeous, and way out of a budget i'll ever have). Do you have any good catamaran, and even monohull, alternatives for someone with a lower budget? Would you be willing to share how much you spent on your boat? Including the upgrades? How much has your solar setup cost you in a rough total? Apologies for all the questions, but I've owned a boat with the intention of living on it, and only got 2 months of joy before circumstance changed, and I am dying to retry my adventure of living on a boat, but I also know now that I would like a newer and more thought-out boat in terms of flow of the interior and storage, but also use. Could you share what priorities you had when finding a sailboat? What was most important, and what did not matter at all?
FYI - My mother recently bought some acreage in Louisiana and wants to construct summer cottages on the property. Because there will be multiple cottages, the county want her to put in a very expensive commercial septic system. Anyway, I showed her your videos on composting toilets and she's really gotten into the idea. I don't know if it will work for her, but it gives her an alternative, so, thanks.
lol I'm still stuck in my custom brick & stick and haven't transitioned to full time RV living, you two had a major part in my decision. I see you two have completely made the switch to sails(and motoring when required) and are still coming up with enjoyable vlogs. I've really enjoyed your switch over from from land to water immensely. I'm single and not under any deadlines to switch from slab to six wheels, though I should've sold my house already, now the plan is in the next six months. I look forward to the change in my life and look forward to seeing more your sailing adventure vlogs. Question, why no spinnaker on your cat? Be safe.
You guys are totally awesome! I enjoy every video that you guys film. Loving the adventure, keep up the good vibes guys! Navy veteran whom has sailed the high seas on two Aircraft Carriers. I know all about the sea legs, ha! Cheers!
Someone may have already said, but it's very easy to have a gangway (ramp) from dock to the back of your boat. Don't bother using the guest heads as showers, just have them use the main master shower, less hassle and everybody don't need to shower at the same time. Stay in the carib, or at least warm climates, those boats are not rigged for cold weather. A cat has a lot of space to heat and with a galley up, theres not a lot of room for effective heaters.
I admit I unsubscribed when the rv videos seemed more like commercials to me I started peeking in when you were shopping for a boat. but now you seem to be getting more salty and I like it. more entertaining, I see the real enthusiasm coming through, the excitement of new possibilities.
I really enjoyed this because we're looking into trading up our rv for a sailboat and we had a lot of these same questions. We look forward to more Q&A videos from you. Thanks, we're loving your videos
Good clip. You explain things in short simple terms that get the main points across. One points I have seen raised is budget. How has the budget changed RV vs Boat? if Europe comes into your plans don't leave Liverpool off the list. Also a great to stop is the Algarve in Portugal. You have a place on land at both spots when you gat here. Don't forget the three W"s Wine, Waves and Wind. Have fun
Keep up the awesome videos!! I love seeing the world through your view, from my home. I still hope to road school my 3 children for at least 1 year and go exploring. Hubby is trying to find the right job so we can travel. In the meantime, I watch you!
Your neat personalities makes any topic interesting, fun to watch and you go an extra mile to make sure its covered well. You two are an outstandingly fun and intelligent team.

Curiosity ist the cleanest boat inside and out of all sailing channels.
Nikki seems a to have a little OCD going on. She wants that boat very clean, from top to bottom.
You look healthy if a bit stressed, but you are going through an expected and predictable set of stressors that will obviously move like the water moves around you. Sending you love and I'm glad that you are aware of your impact on the world as you go through it - its one of your true beauties that stands out. You are brave and fun people.
I'm browsing through older videos and I have to say you just might be the cutest sailing couple on the Internet.

Lots of good questions and good answers. Takes a little of the mystery out of the equation but still leaves plenty of "Curiosity."

I'm becoming a believer with your GPS / anchor alarms.

So great guys, we loved the video. We are new cruisers as a family and I love the behind the scenes VLOG of your new boat. Definitely a step up from our 30' but an inspiration to keep going regardless! Regards.
Liked the Q&A; I especially liked that it was "produced" and not just a talking heads run-through. Much more interesting that way.

Enjoyed the Q&A. Can't wait for the next sailing episode.
Being rocked to sleep each night is a bonus. Loved it on cruise ship. Best sleep ever!
Just want to say thanks for sharing your world with us. Take care
Can't wait to follow this channel for a long time to see you guys "kinda" go around the world!! So exciting!! Haha Keep it up!
Love the Q and A’s! I am chronically ill and homebound so I adore these videos. I feel like I am right there with you guys. It’s the perfect escape for me.
So glad you're loving 'em. We'll keep 'em coming, and thanks for armchair sailing with us!
A lot of cruisers myself included have had problems with bugs loving paper and cardboard. It's a good idea to remove can labels and cardboard from food packages, they don't seem to be attracted to regular paper like they are food paper products.
That was GREAT!! want to know more about living on a boat, the day to day life. You guys are great!!
I just love you guys. You are living a wonderful life. Keep on enjoying it.
Funny enough, I am watching this whilst riding in an RV, 2017 coachmen Mirada 35bh. P.s. love your videos!
Great that you like it. Can hardly wait to follow your adventures.
Excellent Q&A session, informative yet entertaining as it was not boring, very easy to watch.
very cool!! thanks for all the info. I'm sure you guys will have a blast with where ever you go and what ever you do!!
awesome!! We're hoping to pull the trigger on a boat next summer. Your video helps me keep the dream alive!! Thank you and safe travels!!
Loved the Q&A. Love you guys. You both r so personable. You def put a lot of energy into your videos. Thank you.
You won't miss that RV ever again once you drop the hook for the first time in Polynesia. Enjoy!
We have posted videos of our trailer remodeling and experiences here on youtube as well and can't wait to post more!
always get a much larger anchor then rated for your boat, helps reduce dragging
Have another beer my friend - Cheers!!!
lol good one.
now that would make a good Anchor commercial.
back to the beer fridge. the storys are getting as deep as the water.....lol
And any one who remembers Pan AM is no spring chicken. i laughed when i seen the name.
Your environmental awareness is admirable : ) Thumbs up!
oh yes... awesome vlog... really excited about your new adventures... your Cat (boat) is beautiful... so are your kitties...
can't wait to see ya sail !
+Paul ZA thanks Paul, you don't have to be grumpy or dirty to be a sailor 😀
I love that you are very cognizant about biodegradable products for your grey water! Amazing!
Interesting for me to watch this vid 3 years after the making and to know where you guys have been...GREAT!
I'm new to your channel and I absolutely love watching all that your are doing and experiencing. Your videos are inspirational....I might not follow your exact path but it sure inspires me to follow my own! Keep up the good work!!!!
Thanks sandra :)
Excellent job on the Q&A. Details regarding life aboard are never a bad idea.
U guys have grown on me totally...I'am hooked!
Thank you! Really loved the Q & A. Have been wondering about many of the topics you addressed. Can't wait for the next one.
I love hearing the Q&A, what an exciting time for you two.. ooops 4 can't forget the kitties.
lol I'm still stuck in my custom brick & stick and haven't transitioned to full time RV living, you two had a major part in my decision.
Cheers!
Thank you. I enjoyed your question and answer video very much. Always nice to see nice people and I love all your videos.
A cat has a lot of space to heat and with a galley up, theres not a lot of room for effective heaters.
grate video, always enjoy your content. stuck in NYC apartment i live vicariously through you tubers like you
hope you're all safe, looking forward to seeing you in the PNW.
Your video is very interesting. Enjoying your adventure. Have a great and safe time
I admit I unsubscribed when the rv videos seemed more like commercials to me I started peeking in when you were shopping for a boat. but now you seem to be getting more salty and I like it. more entertaining, I see the real enthusiasm coming through, the excitement of new possibilities.
I really enjoyed this because we're looking into trading up our rv for a sailboat and we had a lot of these same questions. We look forward to more Q&A videos from you. Thanks, we're loving your videos
I have enjoyed all of your videos. I am loving all of your adventures. Keep sailing.
Have fun
I love going back & watching these vids from the beginning 😍
Thanks, always brightens my day when you share your experiences!
Keep up the awesome videos!! I love seeing the world through your view, from my home. I still hope to road school my 3 children for at least 1 year and go exploring. Hubby is trying to find the right job so we can travel. In the meantime, I watch you!
WHAT?!? 4 Months!!!?? Holy time flies by.
