Hey, Ike! I just wanted to thank you for keeping my bass fishing going in the fun direction. I am 63 now. Since Covid 19. I ramped up the fun factor. The DT series of baits are Topgun. My favorite is the DT 6. My ponds might be 10 to 12 ft deep at most. I found this speed technique works very well for me. My problem is in Indiana the ponds don't really have alot of shad. Only Bluegill's and other baits. Like Frog's. The colors I use in the DT series are Demon and Helsinki colors. Yes I know the Helsinki is a variation of Shad. But it has a Bluegill look to it. The grass Has drop to about 3 to 4 ft below the surface. The grass can be useful. To tap the top and pull it off the grass for strikes. I appreciate your view on this matter. Thanks again Mike! Shawn.

The only bite I can get consistently is this speed cranking a DT. Last week it was a DT10 Bluegill and yesterday it had to be a DT4 Caribean Shad, thank you Ike, to get them going.

I would think the bait would blow out cranking it that fast?
      Thanks

@@richardkeller6940Yea they will blowout, corkscrew, turn on the side,& lots more!! That’s why you have to use top end to high end crank baits Luke the DT, MEGABASS , DR, River2Sae DD Tactical Shad, some of the Strike king XD’s, but they have to be balanced and run perfectly or you will not be able to burn them The wiggle warts are some bad lil cranks if you get a couple and they run true or tuned right

I like speed cranking shallow lakes when the temps start to drop in late fall with a manns baby minus1.

@BrandonM82 Thank you. I am going to wait till next year to try it. It is cold here in Fredericton New Brunswick. We had a lot of rain this summer that kept the rivers up higher than last year

Hello Mike how are you it's Bill Mike excellent presentation and excellent instruction on the technique absolutely awesome Mike that's exactly the type of Rod and speed real that I definitely use also and I am also a firm believer in 12 lb test 100 carbon it has a wide variety of uses absolutely that's what I use and I also used that to get the bait Down Deeper which works out well very well and I'm going to try this new speed crank Technic absolutely in fact I have a ride already set up for this that I used for a couple other things so we're going to definitely move it into the speed cranking technique and again excellent video on this specific technique we're definitely going to put it to use Mike absolutely Mike we've known each other for a long time and again congratulations is in order here for your induction into the bass fishing Hall of Fame that's what I'm talking about great video again Mike and I'll definitely talk to you soon God bless you and your family

I'll even speed crank in the dead of winter, just have to find the muddiest shallow water I can find. Muddier the better. Absolutely burn a 1.0 or 1.5 next to cover.
