Next time give her a sniff of propane, my grandpa had an old crown with a tired 6-71 that wouldn’t start on its own unless it had already been running. He’d spray a little propane in the intake and hit the starter and there she went
Mine has the same issue right now. It will stay on for about 3 seconds then it cuts off & if you step on the gas pedal it just goes down and doesn’t do anything. What could be the solution?
Gotta get all the air out of the system. I believe their is a bleeder by the fuel filter. Hope this helps. If all else fails run it off ether til it runs on its own.
@@rivercrestcolts55 thanks for your reply. You think replacing the fuel filter will help also? I just bought the truck 3 weeks ago previous owner had it parked for a few months all he did was turn it on once in awhile
Jonathan Thrasher Thanks for the super duper fast response. I'm still broken down. Trying to get the bad boy up. I was seeing also to loosen up the line at the pick up, fuel pump. ? To bleed the line like that as well. Waiting on my dad to arrive. Thanks in advance. Here's another reason why I like fuel injection. Lol Thanks again buddy. God Bless :) From Houston Texas
Jonathan Thrasher Hello. I finally got it running. On the fuel pump , it has a little round pin ( like half an inch wide) where the spider sits. It had locked up or something. Causing it to break and not sucking fuel. :/ Once installed, I did ur method and it started right up. Thanks again. I subscribed. :)
Awesome video! Glad you got it up and running!
Don’t ever let them runout fuel
cuántos años tenía sin encender ese motor??
Spray ether in as the engine is rotating , that is a goof idea to pull the air cleaner .

What did u do?
Just keep spraying starter fluid till it picks up?
Mario Rodriguez just lightly hit it with the can till it ran on it's own. If you watch you can see it sprayin in. Thanks for the comment
