I'm a hairdresser of 12 years & I'm so sorry, I don't want to sound rude or catty but I just have to speak my mind & keep It real & my opinion from what I've just watched Is If that haircut was done right the first time It would of looked amazing, but the fact when It was dry she basically cut It Into another style to try & fix It. There's no way that much hair should of needed to be cut off at the end. I would just lifted all the top section up from temple to temple In a U shape & just ran my thinning scissors through the bottom section to take some of the weight out. & that seemed to take a very long time. Bit too much talking.
she's such a sweet gurl love her energy. I can tell she picked up all these little pieces of info and kinda winged it al into one. some stuff I like. But I feel like she's doesn't really know why or how to really do stuff
I'm sorry but this cut and finish is awful, you should always cut along the neck to prevent all that graduation, you shouldn't have to do all that clean up at the end just add texture!
What part of this did you miss...The client is a stylist...a trend setter...most importantly the client told her how to curl her hair and the client loved her hair.
I was always told that lifting the hair just a little by pulling it out when cutting it like that it's no longer a one length because you are lifting it and the bottom will be slightly just a bit longer.
Exactly.....I always cut a blunt style directly on the skin...it drives me nuts to see her cutting the length against her fingers and then pivoting her fingers up as she gets to the front...no wonder she has so much finish work to do at the end!
Yes her hair is very thick BUT barely curly at all. Its more on the straight side. So she didnt have to have so much tension on it. Thats why it was all butchered at the ends.
Every stylist has their own technique. That's what makes people return to get their hair done. Just because you wouldn't prefer that technique, doesn't mean that it's bad. These biased comments are childish. If the clients are happy, that's all that matters. If it's not your hair, stop acting triggered, grow up. P.s. Love that cut, I wish my stylist made it look that good and sleek/detailed when I asked for it.
Wow! I can't believe these comments! I enjoyed watching your blunt cut, please don't stop posting videos. As a stylist and educator of many years there is always clean up at the end and modifications according to hair type and clients wants or needs, unless you are perfect in every way and I don't know anyone like that.
All the hate I get but we are forgetting that most of the cut and color and service is the person giving it! People forget that clients are also paying for a personality whether it be light and airy or dark and negative... she is a blast from the past and when your around someone that is super positive and light and fun to be around it makes you feel light and airy and fun!! If I went to a stylist that didn’t talk or didn’t make eye contact and didn’t tell me it was a sexy fun trendy look and they executed it perfectly as a dull rock in the yard I wouldn’t come back!!! We r service professionals!!! Our service aside from haircuts is a huge portion of what we are giving these guests!! At the end of the day have fun joke laugh and be serious at th same time; it’s just hair! It will grow back!! And if you are making your guests feel happy and sexy fun and flirty with their new hair..... success enough said! And she loved it she looked like she felt like a million bucks! So kuddos to you! No one is perfect and we are human we will make mistakes but she improvised and finished and the “guest” was happy! Let’s try and spread love not hate and notice the great things in the video 🤗
Hi Mandie . I love the blunt cut and it looked great. It looked wonderful just as it was when the cut was finished 👍Nothing else was needed. I wish I had lovely thick hair like that! Thanks for your enthusiasm for your client's hair. Have a great day!
Thats not undercut happening, its graduation, you shouldn't twist your fingers out, you should have your client turn her head and keep your fingers parallel to the hair
Ukaku Rabbit I'm not talking about layers. I'm talking about the perimeter of the haircut it's uneven and because it's somewhat of a blunt cut it's very visible. Because you're not a hairstylist you won't even notice it or even know what I'm talking about.
This is why hair stylists get such a bad name!! You're all bitching about the hair cut and as a stylist myself it was a good decent cut and Mandie is very talented!! If you do not check a hair cut at the end like that then that is the problem, there could be little mistakes that hide themselves, absolutely nothing wrong with checking! Be nice!
I am so sorry but those are not baby hairs. 🤦🏼♀️ Also where exactly does Monat state that their shampoo and conditioner contain a heat protectant? This is the first time I’ve ever heard that.
I loved this haircut and I am just like your fellow hairstylist. I have dk. hair and I am extremely indecisive with my hair the color the cut everything. One day I want to keep it a 3n and the next day I'm like maybe I should go lighter to my more natural haircolor like 5n or maybe 4n. When it comes to cutting forget it. I just went to my stylist 2 weeks ago and she trimmed an inch blunt what I wanted, because I want to grow out my hair long and healthy. It's past the top of my shoulders about 3in. But now I saw a pic. of Rihanna with a blunt chin length bob and I fell in love with the cut, so now I'm debating and it's driving me crazy! Ugh!!❤Love your haircutting videos Mandie, Love how you get in depth with cuts and colors, amazing!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Omgoshhh I literally am in love with your whole channel. No joke! I'm a cosmetology student and whenever I watch your videos I feel like I learn a lot more and, that you would be so knowledgeable and fun to work with :) too bad that im from Wisconsin
Thanks for this video! I attempted to copy your technique on my daughter during this Covid 19 disaster. I am strictly amateur, but the cut turned out great. I have attempted DIY haircuts in the past and they all looked terrible. Your detailed video made it easier for me to get a more professional looking result. We will be going back to our hairdresser once this craziness has ended, but for the time being my daughter looks good! Thank you!
This was gorgeous! Please do more and more Blunt Cut haircuts, using all kinds of hair. This is the cut I want but I didn’t know how to tell a stylist. I have fine wavy frizzy hair, so layers are the death of me. Combine that with a long term preventive medicine I have to take for breast cancer, which thins hair even more...and cut / color become very important!! 💚🦋🐝💕🌸🧡🌸💕🐝🦋💚
I'm not a stylist nor do I aspire to be but it's so obvious those are *not* "baby hairs". Also, as someone with very thick hair as well, the bottom layer closest to her neck probably should have been cut much shorter to avoid a "Dora the explorer" looking cut.
Mandy I would drive across country to get you to fix my blonde. My hair has grown out long and the girl who lightened it last two times left two lines of demarcation and the toned it uneven with grey areas and it became overdried and broke all over which has never happened before(it's really thick and strong). I want to save it but I live in Chicago and I don't know who to trust or where to go to get it fixed with melted root area and keep my pretty blonde! Do you recommend anyone in Chicagoland? I'm middle aged with spinal issues and that combined with time after time of crappy dye jobs and lightening jobs has made me so paranoid that I just don't know what to do anymore and the clock is ticking. Please help lol.
I'm so glad your back. Mandy I LOVE your eyebrows. Does your lady who does yours have any professional friends in MN that do them that way? I love your posts ,I became a beautician in 1983.
GREETINGS FOR THE GREAT STATE OF ARKANSAS THE HAIRSTYLIST NEEDS A HAIRCUT THE BLOND WOMAN THIS HAIRCUT IS I GUESS REMINDS ME OF A BABA CLASSIC BOB AND LOT OF WAYS SEEMS VERY SIMILAR I GUESS THE TECHNIQUE BY CUTTING IT A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT I'M NOT A HAIRSTYLIST I DON'T KNOW I DON'T LIKE THE CIRCULAR WAVES THAT YOU PUT INTO IT AS THE ONLY THING I DIDN'T LIKE A LIKE THE WAY IT LOOKED ONCE YOU CUT IT GREAT JOB VERY NICE BEAUTIFUL HAIRCUT ON MOST PEOPLE.....GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS AND THE HAIR STYLIST LADY SHE LOOK GOOD ALSO IN A PIXIE KIND OF A LIKE A BOB PIXIE
Dear Mandi. I need your help. I got my hair foiled. showed a pic of yours came out ash. I hate..I need shine and warmth..I am med shin with green eyes. ash and I do not go. she used 9a and 9 g and clear eq..THERE is no blend very striped..can you help me with a toner formula to bring butter gold blonde shine pretty PLEASE.
So cute!!! I have the thick curly hair ...not as thick as hers but thick enough. I love when my hair is short in the swing bob style. My stylist always seems scare to cut it though. (I am also very indecisive on growing or cutting).
I finely gave up crazy colored hair went back to a dark chocolate brown bean years getting a haircut to go take off as much damage as I can I do have to do touch ups to the brown but will be doing that to thinking blunt bob or bob haircut lol
What’s with all the hate? So she should’ve cut it at a zero degree at the bottom, against the nape.. okay fine. The haircut looks great at the end, who cares how you get there? I do hair professionally, and I love this so🤷🏻♀️ Good job, Mandi!
Amazing . I can't get any stylist to section off my hair. They comb down and cut the longest part and the top layers of my hair continue to break since they are not getting those ends that are continuing to grow. My hair has been growing since June, since I'm not pleased and feel I've wasted my $$ over and over . Wish I could have you do my hair.
Interesting approach. When I cut curly I use very little tension and cut against the skin to begin the line. If I use tension, it springs up way more than I think, and can go too short. The curlu girls freak the heck out when your tense 1" really means 2 1/2" off. I am not tracking with this. I am.not saying you're wrong, I am just confused.
I'm a hairdresser of 12 years & I'm so sorry, I don't want to sound rude or catty but I just have to speak my mind & keep It real & my opinion from what I've just watched Is If that haircut was done right the first time It would of looked amazing, but the fact when It was dry she basically cut It Into another style to try & fix It. its not blunt at all, just uneven... the pony tail at the end is triangular, LOL
she's such a sweet gurl love her energy. I can tell she picked up all these little pieces of info and kinda winged it al into one. some stuff I like. But I feel like she's doesn't really know why or how to really do stuff
same
I'm sorry but this cut and finish is awful, you should always cut along the neck to prevent all that graduation, you shouldn't have to do all that clean up at the end just add texture!
I love this so much !!! Welcome back to the TuuuuBe 🎉❤🎉. This tutorial is giving me life ! I have a client tomorrow and this what she wants 🙌
when she curled her hair it looks like a pony tail line........ that's not a good look
Yes, it does.. but, over all the cut is cute!
She can always add more waves herself.
Omg u r so right!! Shes not a good hair dresser
What part of this did you miss...The client is a stylist...a trend setter...most importantly the client told her how to curl her hair and the client loved her hair.
I love how she called the super long uneven pieces at Aftons nape "baby hairs" nice try but c'mon girl most of us are stylists. don't play
I can't with her. This is just madness. I cannot believe people listen to her.
im not a stylist... but baby hairs? that was a CHUNK
Why didn't Afton complain? Why are you complaining for her? Jelly?
Exactly ❤
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
I was always told that lifting the hair just a little by pulling it out when cutting it like that it's no longer a one length because you are lifting it and the bottom will be slightly just a bit longer.

I was always told you have to comb cut it
Susana Santos I
Her waves 😳
I don't understand why the bottom hairs were so long? Usually I never have that problem.
Do you tilt the head down every time you cut a section?
Sandra Torres it's graduation
Yes graduation, she pulled the hair to far out when cutting.
Maybe her sections were to thick and she didn’t blend the front section and nape section.
Point cutting makes the cut not a blunt cut.
“How to cut a blunt haircut” - don’t follow this video !
So says you Lee...and you are? The person in the chair is a stylist and she loved her hair, sooooooooooooooooo
Yes her hair is very thick BUT barely curly at all. Its more on the straight side. So she didnt have to have so much tension on it. Thats why it was all butchered at the ends.
OMG! What was that?!She may be good with colours, BUT NOT with a cut!
It’s rare for a hairstylist to be good at both cutting and coloring hair.
Melissa Misinco it’s even rarer for a salon owner to be diabolical at both x
Did you really say that shes good with color wahahhahahahaha

Whewwwww, y’all are Brutal!!! 😊
She actually did ended up having Dora the explorer hair 😂
🤣🤣
Which is such a look btw 😂

We as stylist all cut hair differently, that wasn't no baby hairs that was a f@$! Up! Refund or all your hair back!!
I agree - this is one of the most difficult cuts, especially with thick hair.
I would'nt let her cut my hair lol
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Nice pony tail line around her head.....
Am I the only one that thinks this cut looks terrible??
No, you are not alone. I think most commenters think it's absurd.
🤣😂🤣😂🤣🙈🙈🙈
Fabulous you said it right. I don’t understand why she flipped the edges of the hair if she clearly said 0 elevation
sorry I like her ... but that cut is horrible .
You need to do this cut in dry hair ! I do it to myself and always have a person who ask me where I cut my hair cause they want this haircut !
We all out here talking about the bad cut but did anyone else here her talking up monat 🤔
Anyone notice it took her as long as that other stylist to foil an entire head, process, and style in the meantime of her cut?
❤ beautiful. I love the technique
oh wait I jus saw her waves. God they suck
It reminds me of the ponytail haircut tutorials on RUclips but worse.
"Baby hairs" lol 😂
This is why I'd rather cut my own hair....
I love your hair cut ✂ style
You can tell when someone doesn't know how to cut properly... all the different lengths everywhere shouldn't be there at all
That's literally a style
There's this amazing thing called a "layer". I think that's the word you're looking for.
Ukaku Rabbit I'm not talking about layers. I'm talking about the perimeter of the haircut it's uneven and because it's somewhat of a blunt cut it's very visible. Because you're not a hairstylist you won't even notice it or even know what I'm talking about.

Chloe Thatcher no one is criticizing her for checking the haircut...
Your own hair Mandie! That color, that root and that blend, it looks amazing!
I am so sorry but those are not baby hairs. 🤦🏼♀️
Also where exactly does Monat state that their shampoo and conditioner contain a heat protectant? This is the first time I’ve ever heard that.
i missed your videos!!! good to have you back. where do you get your cutting collar?
please link the cutting collar???
viri lopez I want to know as well
My hair has so shape or style right now lol can't wait plus new make up make me feel a bit brand new also working on weight loss to
At 14.00 she said baby hair... so funny to cover ure awful cutting with that
Awesome! Thus is truly the hardest haircut. On another note can I ask what color/colors do you have in your hair right now?
DeAnn McDonald this is actually an old video, it was uploaded in march but dated yesterday to get more views... her hair is pink now
Love your videos girl!! Wish I lived closer!! Much love❤️❤️
I loved this haircut and I am just like your fellow hairstylist. I have dk. hair and I am extremely indecisive with my hair the color the cut everything. What toner is on your hair??? I love it!!!
I’ve been wanting a blunt cut for so long ! Wish you were in the Los Angeles County or near . 🖤💇🏻♀️🐶🐾
Its not even wth. She is talking to much. It doesn't take that long to do a blunt hair cut.
It ended up looking like dora because you were shifting your body, pick one spot stand there pull straight down and rotate the chair
love ur videos!!

I don’t know about the programs where you are, but I’m in Massachusetts and barbering is a completely different license here.

Obsessed! Best hair channel I've subscribed to 💕

I'm glad you are back your video so helpful keep continue doing what you doing and making more videos peace and blessings
@bradmondo help
Yay! I missed you so much!
Having her look down and cutting and then looking up and cutting is a whole different angle and not an even cut, that’s hair cutting 101!
Hairstylists are not barbers.
what was that finish?
Invest in a rat tail comb. That twisting the hair & chopping into it at the ends messed up the cut. The wanna be waves at the end were a hot mess.
It was way cuter before you curled it.
Love the way you cut her hair Mandie that's cute
Sorry but that's a horrible haircut!
Love your blunt cut . ✂️ it is realy cute.
sorry Mandie....stick to colours...let others do the cutting videos. ..this wasn't a blunt cut
Warr En would this be considered an angle cut ?
(Just started Beaty school lol that’s why I’m asking)
Rosaly I'm calling this cut scraggly ends...
Maybe she should be the one holding the camera instead
You did really good job love bubbly personality.
So cute!!! I have the thick curly hair ...not as
thick as hers but thick enough. I love when my hair is short in the swing bob style. My stylist always seems scare to cut it though. (I am also very indecisive on growing or cutting).
Love your denim apron! Where did you get it from?
her haircolor is everything! SO RICH! can you ask her to tell us the colors she used? :)
I finely gave up crazy colored hair went back to a dark chocolate brown bean years getting a haircut to go take off as much damage as I can I do have to do touch ups to the brown but will be doing that to thinking blunt bob or bob haircut lol
How you hold the shears when you cut will cause carpal tunnel in the future, I recommend you to hold it palm to palm.
Please do a video on white/platinum blond hair! 💗 Love you! 😘❤️
Love thisss 😍😍
thank u for making the video ,
If client likes it then that's all that matters.
The style that she did looks like boots needed to borrow Dora's ponytail holder and she took it out of her hair at the end no good
Hi where are you at? How much do you charge.... how do I get rid of of the frizzy
Your videos are so helpful continue making more ❤️
Has she graduated cosmetology school yet? My god.
u r awesome mam god bless u
This is a positive wonderful comment Narinder 😄. The world needs positive comments like this. It made my day. God bless u too!😊
What type of shampoo did you use? I didn't catch the name! Thx!!!
Monat
marlamichellexo hey girly I used monat!! You can do to my site www.mandiesuestylez.mymonat.com
ThatBlondeGirl Mandie thank you!! What's the best for naturally curly hair??
What’s with all the hate? So she should’ve cut it at a zero degree at the bottom, against the nape.. okay fine. The haircut looks great at the end, who cares how you get there? I do hair professionally, and I love this so🤷🏻♀️
Good job, Mandi!
Horribleee !!v
Sounds like me. My hairdresser must get sick of it. Grow to bob, then chop to pixie, then grow it to flick back.
Those are not baby hairs. That’s a horrible cut - plain and simple.
im nt tryna be rude but she talks to much like can u talk nd do it at the same time becuz every time u talk u stop
I love 😍 your nails. That color is beautiful Mandie
Thank you for sharing
