Looking deep. I keep getting told a relationship is based on feelings or the spark. Has anyone here ever been in a relationship without that? Have you ever kissed your partner, without feeling anything? Im trying to figure myself out.
😭 please tell me how this works when there’s an unbeliever in this equation? I’m suffocating within in my loneliness. Please pray for my marriage. Through my weakness I am on my knees praying to God, but how can this work if my husband doesn’t humble himself to God much less us.
That may well be one of the hardest things a spouse has to walk through in a marriage because it takes humility but, the onus is on the believing spouse to walk in obedience, prayer and trust in God. Sometimes we make our spouses our idols which I have been guilty of before - but God wants to supply All of our needs. Remember God knew beforehand what your marriage story would be and He works it all out for your good. Ultimately he uses every trial to transform us into the image of His Son so we can count it all joy when we encounter such difficulties because God uses it to produce character in us if we do all things as on to the Lord. There's a book called the Empowered wife which is so practical in explaining how we can play our parts as wives and watch God take care of the rest. Praying for you !
Day D My parents were not walking with the Lord when they got married. My mom went to a dying church because she grew up there and God told her she needed to go to a better church or my faith would never grow and we would die there spiritually. That was the day her life turned around and I am so grateful that she trusted God enough and was Bold enough to walk on this journey alone with her child, me. She grew in her faith but my dad did not. For the entire time I lived at home he never wanted to go to church or be Christian. I could tell it was such a struggle for my mom. After he got laid off right before I moved out, things started turning and changing in their house. She had been praying for him fervently this whole time, 20 some years. Today he has gained his faith and is so involved with his church. It takes time and prayer, patience and your personal growth with God. God still wants you to follow how he wants you to treat your husband which is not just for you but also your obedience and trust in God. It is your faith and relationship with God that heals ❤️
I’m in the same boat except it’s my wife. She can care less about Christianity. She thinks she is too smart for religion. We are the most opposite people you can think of. We go days without talking to each other and avoiding one an other. The only thing we can agree is that we stay “married” for our kids. Other then that we would have been long gone.
