Just try to go and check the display units at Estancia Capitol Commons when we were there the pop up display have two units. We were able to experience it since the battery was already 20% and charging via the engine. Default SOC is at 25% but can also be customized, there's a little bit of humming we heard but it is so soft that you can ignore, maybe it was even the A/C. That was our trigger to go for Sealion over Toyota YX HEV. Those noise and NVH are night and day between the two.

May tiwala naman tayo sa Ayala.
Just like other Chinese car na proven na sa ibang bansa (even at europe) at mejo proven na rin ng konti (5 years since 2019) dito sa Pinas e After sales at parts na lang talaga ang need ng Improvement. Not BAD as many haters think it is pero NAPAKALAKI pa ng pwedeng iimprove. Dapat mag stock na sila ng parts kahit yung mga RARE (NON PMS) parts kasi pag may mga naaksidente nasisira din mga parts na usually 10+ years ang itinatagal. What great about this BYD SL6 e napakaMURA nya. Despite having electric motor, 18KWH battery (napakalakit nito 20x vs Toyota Hybrids) ICE engine e ka presyo lang sya ng Xforce (non hybrid, non turbo), KAhit mga non hybrod lowest model Yaris at corolla cross e mas mahal pa rin. Chinese Cars nowadays are not "you get what you pay for" instead they are "you get what you need and MORE at almost half the price"
I think I saw you in the BYD BGC showroom. Anyway, I had a test drive that as well. Compared to Yaris Cross Hybrid, the engine noise was very minimal. During the test drive, I was pushing it hard to awaken the engine, then I noticed that the engine was alive when I stopped at the stop light with little vibration on the pedal and minimal noise like an aircon compressor sound. Then engine stopped again after charging the battery for a while. I made a reservation for the upcoming batch in exchange of my Subaru Forester. Will see if it was a wise decision :)

Good car. In 3 to 5 years of use still that good. Comparison to HEV only not to gas like territory. Re sale value in 3 to 5 years. No malfunction of airbags and doesn’t goes on fire like cases in china. True good to be true sa price
You can also toggle trip view from HEV trip and BEV trip to determine how much of the distance covered was done by the battery. The button is at the tip of the signal light stalk. Also, when switched to EV mode you can strictly run on battery alone up to a certain percentage (25%-70%) you select in the new energy menu, just remeber to select SAVE and not AUTO. Only until that percentage is reached will the range extender turn on.
@@TeamDyTV for us were 50% sure as were going full ev next year. But will wait for Geely Galaxy E5 as it is now the battery king surpassing BYD with their new Aegis battery tech. Plus the Geely looks better than the Atto 3

so.... makakatipid ka lang ng malaki laki kung tsina-charge mo yung sasakyan sa bahay. pag gagamit sya ng ICE, yung fuel economy is ~18 km/liter (highway?) which is only a little better than conventional ICEs. pero kung ang byahe mo ay within 80 km lang din per day, then maganda sya for daily use kasi pwede mo icharge sa bahay kada gabi or gamit (or every 2 -3days).

The car that can run fully by dual batteries , ICE Is not needed in the car, It's a self charging car. The ICE maintenance plus the battery maintenance are very costly than the ordinary ICE cars .
Total 217 hp is good.but in hard conditions and HEV mode ,97 hp e athmospheric gasoline engine can not help to this vehicle .Vehicle weight is 2 tons.I had a Mitsubishi Outlander sport.It has atmospheric 106 hp engine.Vehicle was climbing hardly.you can not think HEV mode.Just vehicle could go .If gasoline engine had a Turbo,It could be nice for bad conditions
Allow me another question here please: Why insist on a full EV mode from a PHEV? because it is a mediocre performance compared to a full EV. Is it fair to say then, if one is interested in pure EV mode, just simply buy a full EV?
Switch is not a placebo. When in HEV mode, you can set the SOC to a higher settings like 70% in SAVE mode. This way, the engine will keep charging the battery until 70% and maintain it around that SOC. This is actually useful when you're driving uphill and overtaking frequently so as not to lose torque and power. In EV mode, it will try to use the battery as much as possible until 25% then automatically switch to HEV. If you want to maximise EV usage, you can even hold the EV switch for 3s to activate Max EV drive mode (Blue EV) and deplete it further. But this is not recommended as you will lose torque and power due to low battery. Also, keep in mind Lithium batteries are best kept between 20%-80% for longevity and avoid fast degradation. Also you will need to charge them to 100% at least once a week to balance the cells. 🙂

Its actually a series Hybrid so yes , placebo. wether EV mode or HEV, Battery ang nagpapandar ng sasakyan. the gas engine is nothing but a generator, it doesnt run on its own nor move the car. Its the same as nissan kicks, the only difference is you have a choice for external charger. Bothe EV mode and HEV mode, its the battery that moves the car, not the ICE. on HEV mode, the ICE is running to charge the battery when needed. So its really just a matter of when do you want to charge and how you want to charge. You also dont want to not use the ICE at all, that will be a problem if you dont run for too long.
