How about letting us know what's the cheapest 7 string out there that is any good. I bought a Jackson 7 string for $199.99 it plays pretty nice but doesn't stay in tune very well. Thanks. Love your channel

@Ola Englund - what model JCM 800? Did you say and I'm just not catching it? I had a JCM 800 Lead Series back in the day (in the late 80's) and it had no distortion. I had to use distortion pedals to get any chug.

Charvel has been killing it with the DK series. The DK 24 2PT is probably the best guitar you can buy under 1000$ right now

Angel used to play Ibanez RGs before he switched to Charvel.

I have an old charvel from the 80s my mom played in her hairbands.. I put emgs in it and still play it. Awesome guitars. They have come a long way since the 80s. Sounds sick ola . Cheers

I have that classic pair of humbuckers in a cheap Cort, and the sound is georgeous, everyone should give it a try on a guitar they love playing.

Man, I am very surprised to say that this is one of my favorite tones youve ever gotten. I just didn’t expect that from a Charvel and a low/mid gain Marshall.

A Charvelle and a JCM is what brought up lots of guitarists back in the 1980's and 90's. There was literally no band l played in without at least one Charvel guitar.
Btw, I am a bassplayer and played Fender and Warwick back in the days.
I love the classic looks of the guitar. Not to pointy, nice headstock. And the fact that it isn't a locking trem is great.
That boosted 800 is CRUSHING! Sounds really great with that guitar and those pups.

The gold uncovered pickups are way to flashy personally, but massive props to there being a mass production 7 string with a non locking trem. We need more models like that.

I am convinced this is the most evil rig you've ever demoed even out of all your own Solar and Washburns and various other heads. The low end here is fucked and gnarly, and the crunchiness is amazing. Mind bending and influential.
Really like that you first work on the guitar. This way you both highlight the guitar and the amp. Other rig of the weeks I felt like it was mainly an amp showcase :)
Say what you want against the Tone Zone / Air Norton combo being too muddy and all but I believe it is the most versatile pickups ever, can handle any genre...I've had Fishmans , BK to EMGs, There's something about the TZone that keeps me coming back to it.
Just ordered it up.. The green one.. Cant wait.

There are some great amps out there but but I always just go back to that Marshall tone. It just sounds so awesome

I love that 7-string reverse fender headstock. So much better for string tension overall. It’s like a more premium version of my old trusty Squier Stagemaster 7 which is probably the only 7-string with a reverse headstock Fender/Squier ever made publicly available.

I like it. It sounded like it held tune ok. I was told once that they won't do a fender headstock shape with that tilt back angle instead of the usual style. I like that too, looks stunning.

As a Jackson/Charvel guy myself, gotta say that guitar is beautiful. I love black with gold hardware, especially that flat/matte black!
I have a Squire Stagemaster 7 guitar from the year 2000 that has the exact same body and headstock shapes of this Charvel; the position of the switch and knobs is also almost identical!
I love Angel Vivaldi! Great player and seems like a really cool dude. His guitars certainly do look awesome, flashy but classy. Pairs well with that JCM800 too.
Rig of the week is my fav series of your channel. Really enjoyed this and the MT15. Humbly suggest a Laney Iron heart for a future episode if I could please!

Damn that JCM 800 sounds super good.
Also putting the drive up until about 8 o'clock on that Hex Drive is a clean boost. So unlike most overdrives you can turn drive up a bit more without adding any distortion.
5 months later and this is still my favorite guitar ever! This review was literally the final straw that convinced me to order it. I believe it was the " dude, this is a sick ass guitar" comment that did it. It effortlessly plays itself seriously, and so versatile. I play prog and tech death metal as well as death grind on it.
Im seriously considering one. I dont have a 7 string yet so im looking around. Is it USA made? Hows the quality?

I got a brand new Charvel DK24 HSS with the floyd. I got it in a trade for my 2016 Gibson Les Paul Studio (amazing guitar btw) We both walked away very happy.

The sound is absolutely killer and large! It reminds me of the sound when you did a Cannibal Corpse Rig video with the 7 strings, mesa Dual Rectifier and the Maxon pedal. Not exactly the same sound but the same old school thickness.
