Had SUCH a blast hanging and chatting with you guys! Thanks for having me
sexiest guitarist of all time
I am… Angel 2nd though right? 😂
Really nice getting to know you. Love the guitar. Good luck with all your endeavors.
You just keep moving up in the world, Broseph.
I saw you on the tour when you stopped in Houston with Andy James and Scale The Summit! Awesome show!
I saw you again when you came with Nita Strauss, and one other time (I can't remember which venue, but it was different than the other two shows) where I got to do a meet and greet with you before the show!
You're awesome, and I appreciate you!
Angel is a treasure! Such a lovely soul and an absolutely otherworldly player!!!
Angel is a super articulate individual. This is how music should be taught!
The Captain has a real talent for interviewing. The BBC could do worse than have a series of him interviewing the stars of the 60s and 70s before they disappear altogether.
Agreed! Wonderful conversationalist
I see Angel I click. It’s simple. Love him so much!
He is a beast indeed! Big fan!
What a wonderful individual this guy is. The world would be so much more of a palatable place with more Angels in it!
Sea of heartbreak on RUclips...I think it's a positive grid ad, but my gods it is the most expressive and melodic music I have EVER heard!! Thank you @angelvivaldi for being you and unapologetically yourself!
Yes!! Gotta be my favorite song to play along to, i got an Ibanez 7 string as a teenager because of Angel!
I love Angel so much! He's such an amazing human being (all the way around) let alone an unbelievable musician 💜
That guy is magnificent. The only word that always comes to mind. Bless you my dude. Never stop!
Being from NYC I’ve met Angel on several occasions at various metal shows and he is by far one of the sweetest and most down to earth people I’ve ever met. ❤ u papi
Incredibly kind of you to say! All my love and grateful for the support back home ♥️🤙🏾
Love that Angel mentioned Steve Vai, Nirvana, Metallica, Kirk Hammett, Megadeth and Rust In Peace, Alternative rock and Savage Garden in one interview \m/
This dude is a fantastic guitarist/songwriter.
One of the best guitarists in any genre of music.
I didn't get bored of em speaking for a second! I REALLY loved the part on phrasing.
I liked this episode before it even began. Angel is an amazing guitarist ! 🔥
Ive never heard of this chap... what a wonderful interview with a lovely person. I will def be listening to his music in the future )))
Appreciate you lending me your ears!
Yes!!!!! Waiting for this forever! Thanks capt for making this a reality ❤❤❤❤❤
Angel is the best! It's so awesome seeing great people do cool stuff!
It’s good to see @AngelVivaldi doing well. We played a show together in NYC in like ‘08 or ‘09. After watching him play……I didn’t wanna go onstage and follow that 😂 But the show must go on and we had a good time.
Angel, what a personality! Yet another great video, thank you!
Best hour of content I've watched in a long time! Learned a lot!
Awesome upload, thanks a bunch for the insight into his side of the music industry
This is why I love Playing Guitar so much there is always something new to learn and mix it into your Style , ive been playing for 30 odd years now and I never get bored in fact it gets more and more exciting.
I’m with you. New music is continuously innovative. So long as our eyes, ears and minds remain open we’ll be alright!
@@AngelVivaldi I Appreciate that , I tell young Musicians to keep an open mind about all Genres of Music If possible Jam with different Musicians especially really good musicians , and most importantly apply this to your everyday life .
Luckily most people do .
This was a great interview. I hope there's some content to come where you let Angel show off his playing chops. The guy is an absolute genius.
What a great interview, thanks guys! ❤
Finally! Love Angel! Great job Cap
Wow, Hearing his music influence’s makes me feel old😂😂Mine started in the 80’s
Cool guy! I’ve seen his signature guitar before but never knew who he was
So glad I saw the Instagram post about the phrasing section of the video otherwise I wouldn’t of known this was up
Very inspiring. A fine human being. Great episode. Thanks
This was a really good interview, thanks for doing this.
I remember my Mum telling me about Angel all these years ago & have been a massive fan of his since then. He is still one of the best players in the world & his personality is amazing too. Just a sweetheart of a guy 😊
Angel is a sick guitar player....his tone is spot on..
This guy rules!!
High level passion and energy in this cat.
🙏🏾
Awesome episode
Great interview.
Such a good interview. It's crazy all the album influences Angel was dropping as we are roughly a year apart in age. Away with Words Pt. II is actually my favorite thing that Angel Vivaldi has ever done, and I've really enjoyed his music from way back. Great guy, very smart and a tremendous musician.
Digital vs Tube... Honestly, when I'm at home 9/10 I'm just screwing around plugged into my Marshall DSL100HR or Fender Blues Jr. Tweed because I tend to like to tweak the tone on the fly or run a physical pedal board but for work or if I'm gigging... I've used digital for nearly 20 years.
I've got Axe FX, I have a Line 6 Xt Live, and a Vetta II that I actually bought because I had heard Michael Romeo from Symphony X started using one for touring during The Odyssey era so he wouldn't have to cart around 5 different amps. That being said there is definitely that feel you guys were talking about that you don't get from digital.
One of those things to me is "tube glow". That warmth from a hot tube they haven't seemed to replicate as of yet on Axe FX or Kemper etc.
As a fellow New Jerseyian, I'm so sorry you had to grow up there, too.
Lakewood, NJ was a wonderful place to grow up in the fifties, sixties and seventies.
@@Jerry_Fried now it's one the largest hives of scum and villainy on the planet
Lol my wife is from Bayonne. I still make fun of her bc of that to this day
I loved my time in New Jersey ♥️
@@AngelVivaldi honest question:
If it was so great why don't you live there still? NJ would seem like the ideal place to live for a self-recording musician who loved growing up there, no? (between NY City, Philly, DC, the obvious NJ cities and famous venues like The Stone Pony, Starland, The Arts Center, whatever the Izod Center is called now, etc etc etc etc...)
Andertons should interview ren one of the greatest artist to come out of the uk for decades
He's in Canada now in treatment. Your right though, would love to see him on the show.
String trees= 50 year old with braces 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Such a great conversation. Angel is by far one of my favorites and I love playing his Nova 7 string. Glad to own one and such a great dude when I met him a few years ago. Very inspirational conversation..
@scott# He does play, and around the 15:00 mark it's rather insightful/informative
@Time to leave earth. I met him after a show shortly before his signature model came out. Super down to earth, genuine human being. Really hope to catch him on tour again soon
Great player. His guest solo on the Persefone album Metanoia melts me every time. The tone and emotion is absolutely perfect for the song.
The whole album is a beautiful, emotional adventure, but the way his solo kicks in, f#%k me it’s good.
Jewel, VH1 storytellers - just a marvel you all should watch. Thanks for mentioning her name!
Ahhhh so that's why he was there in Guildford that day at the Steve Vai masterclass!! Now, it makes sense. Spoke to him briefly after the show. A nice chap but a scary guitar player! Looking forward to hearing the whole interview!
How articulate is this guy?? Great interview!!
Great interview of course lee. How can I find the vid of Angel and Pete swapping guitars?
At first I thought there was a REALLY out there Dalec effect on the guitar. Then it was on the voice too. I guess my Bluetooth speaker is fucked 😂
Testament are so underrated!
Alex Skolnick is one of my Top 10 players, hands down! Incredible
@@AngelVivaldi Same! His playing on The New Order still brings a tear to my eye, beautiful and fierce!
👍😇🎸🎼🎶🎵🎶
Oh no way
It's annoying he's my age, he was there at the MySpace beginnings, and he looks and plays that good.
Practice and innovate
The instrumental scene was huge during the Shrapnel days but Nirvana pretty much killed metal and instrumental music. Was a long period before it became fashionable again.
Wait, did he say Savage Garden at 5:37? Did he mean Soundgarden? Savage Garden doesn't really fit in with the rest of the list...
Sound garden are great no doubt, but I did mean Savage Garden. Adored that debut album :)
What is that red number constantly changing behind you guys?
A decibal meter
Whos him? The great great great...... son of Vivaldi
I'm no Producer, or even a Programme designer, but wouldn't it have been a thought
to hear him play? he held onto that Charvel all the way through the video, but I'm yet to hear him play?
50 year old with braces lmfao, ill never look at string trees the same again!
😂😂😂
@@AngelVivaldi ❤
Awesome interview but that leg slapping is a bit much. 🤦♂️
🌻 To whoever is meant to read
this...
Please know the Kingdom of God is at hand, repent. I say this in love and urgency. 🙏💗
The Lord is seeking you out, and I believe you know this to be true already...
We are in the last days, this is plain to see in the state of affairs the world is in right now. ❤️🩹
Jesus came down from Heaven to be the perfect sacrificial lamb. He died on the cross, was buried for 3 days for our sins, rose again on the 3rd day and returned to the right hand of the Father in Heaven. 🥹
This is the gospel.
✝️ For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. John 3:17
He is alive. Hallelujah! 🙌
Who the hell is he?
Can't read?
yeah never heard of him@@naveedalikhan108
@@larryburwell8550 what exactly made you asking this question? 😂 as he was invited here, he obviously is known. You, not knowing him, could have closed that gap by googling and listening to his music. Instead, you write (!) that YOU never heard of him. I think the "solution" here is obvious. Strange behavior honestly 😆
this guy should put the guitar down and just be a coach in a record label or something. he obviously doesnt do it for the art and his music is trasnparently uninspired. if anything, watching him would make me less inclined to even get his guitar even if i played the instrument
Appreciate the comment! I know it’s easy to knee-jerk react to someone you don’t know on the internet but feel negatively towards. As a fellow human, I get it. I do think that if you were able to move past whatever negative feelings you have, you’d find at least one song you’d enjoy. And if not, that’s ok too! At the very least you’d find a person who overcame a lot of adversity in life to make a majority of his dreams happen. Hopefully that counts for something :)
@@AngelVivaldivery classy reply sir!
another interview with someone that nobody has ever heard of.
He’s well known and respected enough to endorse and have a signature guitar from Charvel.
Just because you’ve never heard of him or Oz Noy (who, incidentally, plays with some of the greatest musicians ever like Dave Weckl, Vinnie Colaiuta, Keith Carlock, Chick Corea… I could go on) doesn’t mean they aren’t well known.
Hey David! Indeed there are actually quite a number of us out there 😂 The beauty of todays era of music is that no matter how hard we try, we’ll always discover new artists who are out there doing their thing right under our noses. That’s why channels and people like the Captain and Rick Beato are invaluable to helping more people discover artists like myself! 🙏🏾
@@AngelVivaldi You responded to this much more courteously than I think I ever would have. I’m just sick of blues lawyer dads who haven’t bothered to look at guitar playing past SRV shitting on everyone else.
that You've never heard of. Well done on showcasing your ignorance to the guitar world!
"nobody heard of" bro Angel Vivaldi was one of the new solo guitar player along with Tosin, Nili brosh, Nita Strauss, ect. Trailblazing what Vai did in his early career! Also the dude revitalized Charvel after leaving Ibanez.
