37:55 Lzzy is such a lovely person, besides being a great singer and guitarist. Kudos to her for recognising how good The Warning are, during the tour with them last year I think that she almost got besotted by them! At the end of the tour she gifted Daniela their guitarist and singer with a custom made Explorer in white; Daniela thought she just let her play it and when they finished their set Lzzy came on, Daniela went to give it her back and she told her ‘no girl it’s yours, play it loud and play it loud; as you would expect things got a bit emotional! Like I said what a lovely person 😍
I was at that Alter Bridge gig and had no real expectation of Halestorm. What a fool I was - they are incredible!!! Definitely got yourself a new fan. Lzzy is an insane front woman with astounding levels of talent. Her brother stole the show with his drumming too. Goes without saying that Mammoth WVH and Alter Bridge were top-tier.
I was also at that gig and went SPECIFICALLY to see Halestorm. Couple of people near me said after they finish "OMG that's the best support band I've ever seen." My friend turned said "that's cos they're not a support band!"
@@peppers515 I 100% understand why you went just for them. Alter Bridge have introduced me to plenty of great bands from live shows over the years. Shinedown may just come out on top though. The stage presence and musicality from those guys blew me away. And I had literally no idea who they were until that gig. I must’ve listened to them every day since.
We saw them at the NEC on the tour. Mammoth were spectacular, Alter Bridge were epic and Halestorm blew them both off stage. 3 incredible bands. I love Halestorm, great albums, great live Lizzy has so much stage presence as does Arejay. They are in my humble opinion the best live hard rock band in the world.
I first saw them open for Slash and the Conspirators, had never heard of them before and they were incredible. I saw them again a year before covid hit and they were probably even better - Arejay is a great performer and really funny on the kit, which is exceptionally rare for a drummer
I agree, he did an incredible job. I had never even heard of Lzzy HaleI'll be sure to check the band out. She was great and the interview went very well. great job Lee
I saw this tour in Glasgow back in December, what a gig. I was looking forward to Mammoth, just to see for myself and they were fantastic. Alter Bridge were every bit as good as expected but Halestorm, I wasn't fussed that they were on the lineup, can't say I was massively looking forward to them but Lizzy blew me away. What. A. Voice! Very glad to have seen them live and happy to admit I was wrong.

Lzzy does a great job at makes stand out signature guitars! I own her 2014 white Explorer and an Explorerbird, they both sound and look absolutely amazing
I saw Halestorm along with Alter Bridge and Mammoth in Manchester this tour and all 3 were incredible. A night I’ll never forget, Lzzy was outstanding what an incredible musician! 💕
" It's like Hank Marvin did it, and then Mark Knopfler... And no one else" says Lee, forgetting the classic Red Special 😂 Great interview Mr Anderton ...
My second rock crush of my life after Alanis. More importantly, her used signature Explorer is still the best Gibson I’ve played to date. It was out of my $$ range, and also sold within a week. Most $2k Gibsons sit for a year at this place.
:( that rose gold sparkle was the one I had my eye on, that is not only signature, but one off custom. Probably for the best, likely costs $20,000 to order it.
The main thing I noticed watching this, compared to some of the other interviews, is how much she was also making eye contact with the camera while talking, engaging the viewers and not just Lee, especially after she mentioned how introverted and shy she used to be to completely engaging everyone, whether they're physically there or not. And she comes across so down to earth too!
I see that a lot as a therapist in ‘former introverts’ as they learn to engage the world with trial and error at a later stage as confidence grows. I went through it. Many performers are introverts. Also, She’s just flat out awesome and is the definition of a person who knows themselves. You know you’re cool when Lee is loose enough to crack his cute Dad jokes.
Met Lizzy at the round house in London 2013 on ST Patrick’s day Halestorm were supporting bullet for my valentine and smashed it!!! Still have the pics plus don’t regret having to sleep in Paddington train station on a bench in like -6’c because we missed the last train 😂😂 and still listening to the tracks new and old. Talented, beautiful, charming and seems to be pretty down to earth about it all. Proof that life ain’t fair 😂 you’re not supposed to get it all! 😂 great singer good interview thanks for sharing.
Never really been a fan of the band but I've always liked her voice. She can really belt it out while looking like she's not even trying. So relaxed yet so powerful without sounding like a Death Metal singer. Does she even get out breath? All hail, Lzzy Hale!!!
Great interview! I'm a relatively new fan of Halestorm, about 3 years or so, and their new album is the one that I listen to throughout all my flights. Such a great band. It's actually really cool to see a huge artist like Lzzy play 20 watt heads as her live rig, cause some times people think these things are toys, but it just goes to show that they can be used live to play hard rock.
I saw the Evening With...tour in March. 2 1/2 hours of Lzzy on a piano, then acoustic, then a full rock set. Absolutely incredible band, been a massive fan since the first album.
We saw that in Newcastle, it was incredible. My partner enjoyed it so much that we travelled to Manchester to see them in December. I love her collaborations with other artists like Lindsey Stirling etc
Does it really matter? She got enough skills/knowledge to make music that a lot of people enjoy. Just like Kurt Cobain. There's also Malcolm Young signature guitars, but I'm are not sure he ever have played anything "advanced". But millions still enjoyed his rhythm guitar playing and song writing. Lzzy are an charismatic artist that get a lot of positive exposure, Gibson do af course not want to miss that chance for getting the brand exposed.

what a creep.
Music is the only true magic in our world.
Last night of the tour… looking forward to Christmas? 2022…
Has she not seen Steph Curry shoot?
Sometimes i just can't tell if music is any different to magic.
