So great so see this Sean. Love the chill vibes with you and the Captain. I have your Tilt Pedal coming in a few days and will be the front end into my D20. Cannot wait. I will definitely do an in depth video on my YT channel to spread the good word. I really believe that more people need to know about how amazing Revv is. Keep on crushing brother. :)
Shawn is an incredible guitar player, even his noodling is unique and fascinating. For my tastes, his gear demo intro pieces are simply the best. One of my favorites is a gentle ballad sort of piece opening a demo for a Royer mic, I think, it’s just an achingly beautiful piece of music. I would love to see Shawn collaborate with a lyricist/vocalist and turn some of his intro pieces into full-fledged songs. But whatever he does, I wish him continued and increasing success!
Like many here i’ve been watching Shawns demos for years mostly just for the killer playing, but if there were awards for the ‘Nicest Dude in Nashville’ i’m sure he’d be up there.
What a player and a great guy! The secret to getting the gig (or any job really if you can get past the HR department screening) is to be the person they want to hang out with. And Anderton's Unplugged (or Acoustic Sessions if the trademark is a problem) could be a monster!
What a great interview. Shawn is such a wonderful person. Love hearing his story. And ya know who would be really "peachy" to have in? Jack Griffiths. His RUclips demos are amazing. It would be the crossover of crossovers, lol.
Shawn is just on of them Guitar players that plays a generic Pentatonic licks and then the next one just comes outa nowhere. A total unpredciatble player and his choice of notes is just so immaculate. And I don't even wanna start on his tone. Ughhh. This man just knows how to dial in a great Guitar tone come what may.
Lee if you see this I just want your thoughts on what it's like to go from just being a family owned music store in Guildford just showing products in stock to practically being an internet celebrity and having all these companies reach out to you as a "the" British/European export. It's amazing to see the growth you and the rest of your company has achieved.
Loved this interview! Shawn is such a down to earth, easy going, and cool dude. He's so humble about his work with Carrie Underwood. I love his Tilt overdrive as well, it's a pedal that will never leave my board! Thanks for such an excellent interview!
Shawn is a very cool guy and a great player. I watched his Revv demos for about a year and finally bought a G2, the green one, and unfortunately sent it back the next day. It was a good sounding pedal but my Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret sounded the same only better.
Always very impressed by Shawn mixed influences that forged his own style : Country, blues, jazz fusion and Jeff Beck !!! His pedal seems to be very clever...
A really enjoyed the chat/demo fellas +1. I see a tilt on someone's board. Spit out 100 totally new Riffs per hr. maybe a wee start to being a session man. 👍👍👍🥃Respect to you fellas.
What a great video with Shawn Tubbs. Nice one 'Captain'. As many have said, he comes a cross as a regular guy, and it was nice to hear how he's super nervous in front of the camera.. He's human.. LOL. Great player, and I love the wammy bar element. I liked how he gave up the Underwood gig after 14 years because he just decided it was the right thing for him to do, as opposed to putting his ego first. Plus, when you are a gigging musician you do miss out on many of life's regular things which might be no big deal when you are in your 20s. Good luck to Shaun.
Shawn is great. Enjoyed the video. Someone who would be great to see on here would be Dann Huff. Hearing him play everything from country to 80s shred and hearing his stories of everyone he’s worked with would be awesome
I love Shawn! One of the first RUclips demos I ever watched, was his demo of the Rocket Klon. I Iike his demos, because it's not over the top. He lets you hear what the pedal actually sounds like. Then again, he's also a guy that can make a string on a broom sound good. This was good for learning about his path. I had no idea. Thanks!
One of my favourite current guitar players. I love his playing and I can relate to a lot of what he said. I too, never really sat down and learned solos note for note, I did in the very beginning but it was more a bastardised version of what it was supposed to be. After a while I just learned bits and pieces, certain techniques, certain phrasing but I was just too lazy to figure out whole guitar solos by that time.
Thanks so much for having me on the show Lee!!
So enjoyed it!!! Thanks guys
So cool for Shawn to respond...

@@mrelmoresmusiclab Thanks so much!!
Finally! He's INCREDIBLE.
How long did you have to wait ?
@@soundpainter2590 Years. Perhaps a decade.
Shawn is a monster player. His gear demos contain some of the best playing I’ve ever heard. Chops for days!
Shawn is an awesome guitarist and he seems like a funny and humble person as well.
Shawn is a great role model. Tasteful player, consummate professional and lets the music do the talking. I love the Tilt pedal too.
In my opinion one of the most underrated Session guitarists alive, good look bringing him on!!
Shawn's a monster player. I've been getting into his work with The Violet Burning. So good!

One of the most genuine, no BS, what you see is what you get... type of guy. He is a monster player and has absolutely no ego.
No MTV Unplugged, but there is Tiny Desk Concerts.

Really cool guy and phenomenal player, great interview fellas.
Great interview Captain! Was Shawn running the Strymon Flint in front of the D20 or in the effects loop of the D20? Thanks 😊
That moment you realize you grew up living up the street from both Scott Weiland and Shawn Tubbs (Huntington Beach 70s-80s).
Shawn is amazing! Great interview and episode.
Would love to see
Dr. Molly Miller on

Wow - great player! Great sounding pedal, too.
Shawn is fantastic, one of my favourite guitarists of the last few years
Tubbs is demon player. His demos are stunning.
Finally Shawn is with the captain, awesome awesome!!!

Daaam... Tubbs looks soo different than his Miami Vice days !! ( No makeup & tight fro.) $$$ "Money under the table" Shhhhh !
Shawn was a total gentleman at the NAMM Show 2023. Tilt!
Thanks so much!!

Shawn is a very cool guy and a great player. I watched his Revv demos for about a year and finally bought a G2, the green one, and unfortunately sent it back the next day. It was a good sounding pedal but my Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret sounded the same only better.

Shawn is SOOOO cool and so GREAT on the guitar! Thank you for this video, Lee!!!
Day 1,825 of waiting for the video "The Captain Meets John Mayer".
I'm confused, is he playing through a REV D20 or G20?
D20.
Always very impressed by Shawn mixed influences that forged his own style : Country, blues, jazz fusion and Jeff Beck !!! His pedal seems to be very clever...

What a thoroughly nice chap Mr T is. That said, I pity the fool who moves there to get work as long as he's still around.
Sorry, couldn't resist. X
Ten thousand and 1th overdrive pedal.... That should be a Capt andertons exclusive pedal
Great video Shawn is awesome dude 👏 🎶🍻 thanks for the video 📹 😀
Awesome interview and such a great guy 😁👍the first RUclips demo I saw Shawn in was for a J Rockett WTF (Fuzz) Pedal 🎸

Love listening to him play. So smooooooooth.
I own a bunch of REVV gear because of that guy lol.
AND I love it all 🤘
What an incredible player and down to earth chap. Do yourself a favour and check out hid Tuttle guitar demo. Wow!!
Shawn can make a Gorilla amp and a Walmart First Act sound like a million bucks. He just has a great touch.
Shawn is great. Enjoyed the video. Someone who would be great to see on here would be Dann Huff. Hearing him play everything from country to 80s shred and hearing his stories of everyone he’s worked with would be awesome
Following Shawn Tubbs for many years on RUclips. A very talented player and at the same time a humble nice man.
Woohoo!
I’m starting to watch again this videos! Nice and thanks for the time!
Very cool-thanks Shawn

Makes me want a REVV
Pure awesomeness 😃
Such a classy player.
The next Michael Parkinson!
Just to let you, I got a telegram message pretending to be from you and asking me to call (all RUclips channels are receiving these messages!
What a down to earth , talented and true is this guy…. Inspiring
Thanks very much!
Excellent 😊
There‘s a bit too much hair grooming with the hand…
Better than no hair… In fact, it’s not grooming: it’s to grease the fingers in order to perform these ultra-fast licks !!!
Shawn needs a hair tie. Cheers
The GREAT Tubbs... alright alright alright
