The first time I heard these Silver Jubilee 2525H heads was at a Ibanez guitar clinic featuring Kiko Loureiro. The Long and McQuade store had the Silver Jubilee head with the matching 2 x12 cab and I was completely taken aback on how much gain and modern Metal sounds that it put out. It is a really impressive amp. I wasn't expecting it from a lower wattage amp. It really has a full size head sound to it.

Owning one of these, it’s really where I wanted the whole “modded Marshall” tone.
The EQ is very responsive, and it takes a lot of dialing with your ears rather than your eyes. Balancing the treble and the presence is pretty critical too, IME.
It’s a phenomenal little amp. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the mini heads, but this Marshall is definitely going to be a keeper. Great tones at low volumes too.

Had a JCM stack (4x12) way back in the day and selling it was one of my biggest regrets as you could get the crispiest sound from it with a bit of fiddling, there are better amps out there but a JCM just has something about it not to mention a good condition stack is worth the price of a kidney these days...

I have the reissue 100w version. It chugs super hard with a tubescreamer. Funny enough the bass, mid, and gain controls are just as sensitive on the 100w version as this 25w.
It sounds a lot better with v30 speakers though. This video seems like the amp is lacking a certain mid frequency and treble grind I'm used to hearing with my 1991 Marshall V30 cab. Could be the guitar though too, the Fishman's sound WAY better in the secondary mode you engaged.
But with V30s it also sounds different with the rhythm clip engaged too, so who knows lol.

Should try the SC20 (mini JCM 800), that amp absolutely slaps - especially with a clean boost in front

Yes, it just better than the Mini Jub. I've had both got rid of the Jub.

Man I love the Marshall bite. I have a DSL 100 but I haven't used it in a while since I got my EVH Stealth 50 watt. I think Im going to dust it off after watching this.

Just needs a 10 band eq in front for a clean mid boost with the amp mids dialed back and have the preamp cranked and you get a perfect thrash metal tone

It literally sounds like mine when I have a boost engaged. I mean... did he dime the gain and use the hottest pickups ever to grt it to chug without a boost in front?

How to properly test acoustics of a room:
    "AH!" "Baby!"
    Yup, the room chugs.

Theres not much difference in the original silver jubilee and a jcm800. In fact after its initial run it was part of the jcm800 series

Edit: Just seen the price tag, 25w MF better chug for that price!

This amp sounds exactly like the vs30r I have. Like exactly, I bought and returned it because side by side they sounded the same. VS30R was $50, silver jubilee $2g. Wired a speaker out on my vs30r and run it through some V30's.
