That's Brian "Brain" Mantia. He played on The Brown Album, Antipop, and Rhinoplasty from Primus and Col. Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains Big Eyeball in the Sky album
What I love about BH, is despite being a virtuoso guitarist, you can tell he'd rather entertain the audience than just get off on some, "check out my mad skills!" BS concert which so many of the 80's guitarists used to do. Love it.

I discovered Buckethead. He has given me a whole new look on music. I grew up in the 70's and it has been a LONG LONG drought for new music (to me) that is cool and something to CRANK UP in the car.
Well Brain is a monster, I saw him with Buckethead late 2018 and it was awesome to see Buckethead with a live band, since he normally tours with a track. Brain has been in Primus and then in Guns N Roses when Buckethead was in the band.
I'm 48 and have known of his existence for decades but sadly dismissed him as a joke (fuckin bucket on his head) having never listened to his jams. Two weeks ago I clicked on a random Buckethead video... And now I can't stop watching and listening to his music/sessions/jams. Fuckin guy is so unique and talented. I'm very happy I clicked on that random video.
The unexpected impromptu kasmir was a treat and very much appreciated!we all love you Mr Brian Carroll! This is coming from a guy who has tourettes and Asperger's and a son with the same lol! And I used to play the shit out of the guitar before I had a couple of strokes, but it's cool lol
Some serious talent on that stage......Bucket pull off some killer riffs, the drummer nails Bonham with a single bass and the bassist earns his pay with keeping time. Well done.....
the TONE man. the TONE. Bucket's ears have an incredible ability to get that signal through the amp. Much more than a virtuoso. I think he has the feeling as well, what we all call, SOUL. Few have inspired me to do more.

It belongs there. Page always added texture with minor notes. Stone Temple Pilots uses a similar style minor note in Wicked Garden. It's an obvious tribute to Zeppelin
I dressed up like Buckethead for my last two Halloweens. Nine out of ten people have no idea who I was supposed to be, but that tenth person almost always comments positively.
Wow ! This is amazing. Giving tributes to the God's of rock and roll is something. Good playing with the God's 💓💓💓 music is an honor for a lifetime. Thanks Buckethead !
the drummer....I reviewed the "parts" of the double and triple kick drum. I never saw his left leg move. This is Buckethead's #1 drummer. ( I think) He plays with Buckethead full time.( I think)..lol. If not..this drummer should be "full time" He truely is an awesome drummer. Killer kickdrum.... Badass..!!
He's an old friend of mine. He used to say he was "going to the butt house" when he headed off to the bathroom so I started calling him Butthouse. One day over at my place he somehow locked himself in the bathroom, couldn't figure out the lock and had to crawl out the window. We teased him about that for a long time. That was at a place me and a couple of guys were renting, it was known as the House of Loud Guitars. He would come over, he was around 15-16 We would drink a ton of beer and play loud guitars late into the night until his mom would show up, pissed and rightly so. Yep them were the days of misspent youth!
A lot of Zeppelin riffs medleys out there but this is one of the best selection ever. Amazing riffs. Not to mention nailing them. The only ones missing were Whole Lotta Love, Nobody's Fault But Mine and Black Dog
oh no...i was on a youtube buckethead addiction about a year ago and now it is starting over again. the guy is lovably wakki as well as being an incredible musician.
Buckethead deserves to be in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
he is the hall of fame
Buckethead doesn't appreciate fame.
Hell yeah buckethead deserves it!!!,,they put musicians in the rock and roll hall of fame have had alot less talent ..
He should get a percentage of the entrance fees 😂
Only what they can fit in a bucket
The real star of this video is the drummer. Dude is killing it.
Bad ass drummer he make this band sound good.
Absolutely 💯
Ive watched this video more than a few times, John Bonham re-incarnated for a short time. WOW!!!!!
For realz bro good call.
Agree.
Bryan ”Brain” Mantia 🥁
Buckets off to the drummer👍
shocked that snare didn't bust, especially during the Wanton Song
@@dmv92117just proper rim shots with a snare hit I do it love all the time and don't needs micd up
Brian Mantia aka Brain.. formerly of Primus.. he’s awesome!
Drummer is on point, killer beats !!!! They nailed ZEP !!!!!
Your existing is insulting me Jeff
Bruce Lee on drums
That's Brian "Brain" Mantia. He played on The Brown Album, Antipop, and Rhinoplasty from Primus and Col. Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains Big Eyeball in the Sky album
You couldnt be anymore precise , buckethead is a perfectionist when it comes to the guitar.
@@scottryan8826 Thanks. His fills gave me thrills.
The drummer is an absolute monster as well!
I think you’d have to be, trying to fill those monster shoes of John
Fact
Brian Mantia. “Brain”. Guy is a sick drummer.
It takes skill to play Zep with this much feel. Something most technical wizards can’t seem to pull off. You can tell Buckethead has love for Page.
Probably one of the best guitarist and definitely the most underrated.
As long as he wears that stupid bucket, he always will be “underrated”!
@@munter10As long as people worry about the bucket no will be as good as him
Overrated. There, I corrected your spelling. You’re welcome.
That drummer was thumping like freaking KING KONG! That guy is great!!!
That's raaaaaciiiiiist.... Lmao
@@brianwalendy3735 You ever see the Original King Kong? It has nothing to do with race.
@@manueldriggs7099 Yeah, but thanks for killing the joke!
His Drummer and Bass Player are definitely on point and super tight. Great Tribute!
gotta give it to the drummer he was pulling some bonham with single bass.
Cunty McCuntface wow he made all those beats with one bass drum?
John Bonham only ever used one bass drum.
@@straight2helll good Lord no wonder he's considered the best!!!
Well yeah, it's Bruce Lee
He's No Bonham ...!.!.!
This is my favorite thing I’ve ever seen Bucket do. These Zeppelin Riffs can’t be topped. He played them tremendously too.
Another Big Ups to this drummer for channeling Bonham so well. Of course Buckethead nailed it.
Wow! I'm a huge Zeppelin fan and I'm impressed. Good job buckethead.
This guy is incredible . Ever since I found his stuff I keep going further down the rabbit hole. He's just incredible.
who the hell downvotes something like this? if you did you have no soul and your life is joyless.
Drummer is in the Pocket big time. Killing the Drum riffs!

My gosh he has huge hands and long fingers. What a great guitarist.
That's an oversized guitar too
When he started playing Ten Years Gone, I almost started crying because it's such a beautiful song. This was too cool!
I discovered Buckethead. He has given me a whole new look on music. I grew up in the 70's and it has been a LONG LONG drought for new music (to me) that is cool and something to CRANK UP in the car.
The drummer had that Bonham thing!
@Red Ficher I see drummer was even better than Bonham and also Buckethead are better than Page...if artistic battle was ever maded.
Well Brain is a monster, I saw him with Buckethead late 2018 and it was awesome to see Buckethead with a live band, since he normally tours with a track.

Drummer crushing it. So may good riffs to choose from.
Drummer is a beast
That snare and bass drum sound amazing. So killer.
In the light has to be the best riff around.
im so with you on this one , The Ocean is up there too thou. I just love the chords part at the end, so powerful yet 1 chord :D :D
Bucket is the GOAT. Phenomenal talent. Shreds as well as anyone and plays the soulful blues guitar just as well as anyone.
Some serious talent on that stage......Bucket pull off some killer riffs, the drummer nails Bonham with a single bass and the bassist earns his pay with keeping time. Well done.....
My kid turned me on to this dude. Rock on brother. Made my day.
My favorite guitarist played my favorite band songs 😍😍
BONHAM would've been proud !!!..The DRUMMER is most definitely on IT!!!

❤ todo un grande el cabeza de balde!!! Debería tener más reconocimiento!
I guess if I was Buckethead, I’d have a badass drummer too. Nice work on the kit. 🤘🏻
His playing is so clean, what an amazing guitarist
Bucket's the only one I've heard pull off that out of key open string during "In the Light". Simply awesome. Gives me chills.
The Bezzopulus
Was thinking the same. The only one besides Page.
That was actually an overdubbed part BH is playing w/ the riff. Listen to it again- ruclips.net/video/PTLSvw6xTPM/видео.html

@@ZeroMod I went as the slunk.
I totally agree with that guy shouting "Yeeeeaaaaah" when Bucket goes into 'Ten Years Gone' 🤗
Went from “The Wanton Song” to “Ten Years Gone” as nimbly and seamlessly as the great band itself.
It is interesting to hear a phenomenal guitarist play Zeppelin without copying Jimmy Page's guitar tone.
And he could if he wanted to...
Some of the most classic Riffs in Rock History... The Riff Remain the Same .... only the players change
I thought it sounded some what like classic Page tone in that BH had his effects set to sound like classic LZ.
I listen to this over and over I LOVE IT!! ♥ that drummer kicks some a**!!!!

When God plays guitar.. he is called Buckethead

I can't get enough of this, I play this over and over.
to play guitar as well as he does, it's not surprising he's learned all the Zep riffs long ago
This is one's going in the favorites list!

he can play string instruments but can he dodge a wrench?
