So I did not cover the fact that Creed offers multiplayer, however I could not talk about it because every time I tried to get a match, nobody was playing.
@GamerDad79@@DaPig when you finally got someone to fight was it the same as fighting a VR avatar? Punches happen fast, so I was thinking when fighting someone on line it may take a second to process punches from any given player making it useless. kinda need real life speed. what is your opinion
Hi man nice vid. Just to say though I think I worked out that the ko decision isn't made by the game as to whether you get up. Thrill of the fight wins in multiple levels. The workout, the actual science of boxing, not just swinging aimlessly but using defense and timing. Punching hard at air tires you out quickly but that’s the only con of this game made of pros! Great review Gamerdad!!!!
Especially on the harder difficulty levels you need to box smart, and each opponent has their own strengths and weaknesses. I really appreciate the support.
I love Thrill of the Fight. I haven't played a ton, but managed to get KO wins through the first 3 difficulties. I haven't worked the last difficult yet however, it's about 350 punches to get a TKO on Money maker. A couple of those and I'm tired. I also really like the tracking it gives you for the punches.
The fact that Creed doesn't have room scale nor lets you use your own stamina is mind numbing to me...how do you do this for a VR platform and leave those two things out?!!?
If it wasn't for the stamina issue, I would have liked Creed a whole lot more. Nothing ruins the experience like having your character stop being affective because the in-game avatar is tired. Like, how is Adonis Creed tired before I am lol.
Smart money says it has to do with creating an "even" playing field for multiplayer. Though, why they couldn't just add an option to turn it off. Possibly they just didn't know how to scale the NPCs stamina dynamically to the player. So why then the pre fight stamina check? Who knows....
Creed has a way better arena crowd and the idea of fighting the boxers from the Rocky saga is neat, but as far as the actual boxing it's self, Thrill is way better at 1/3d the cost.
Coming from a woman who never stepped in a ring .... Thrill of the a fight is a helluva workout. Flop sweat .... and I love it! Maybe they could have women boxers for us as well??
8 out of the 12 girls (My fiance, both sisters, 3 cousins, and 2 friends) that played Thrill of The Fight on my quest either asked me or were disappointed to hear that there are no female boxer opponents. Although I think they should add female boxers, I don't blame them if for not doing so; because Mainstream "Game Journalism" is plagued with entitled, idiotic, ignorant, and scummy "Game Journalists" that weaponize cancel culture to get views through ridiculous claims. They'll say this studio hates women and encourages violence against women and label it a "Violence Against Women Simulator" that conditions young males to think it's okay to hit women or something ridiculous/ignorant like that. Nearly all of the youtube comments and game reviews left by women gamers almost always include an interest in/request that female boxers get added as an option.
I have to agree, both are amazing. Thrill of the Fight will give you a real workout though. I practice martial arts and i am used to heavy conditioning training and sparring. When you progress in Thrill of the Fight and you get five 3 minute rounds youre going to be completely drained. Youre basicly going all out for 15 minutes. It took me two weeks to get the champ and i had to do rest days to heal my muscles which is insane considering i do this in real life as well haha. My pulse was at 150 bpm after taking out the champ and i took a shower, came out.....sweat still pouring from my face. Insane workout! (Keep in mind i do power punches for those 15 minutes! i give it my all!) The pro for Thrill of the Fight is that ability to move around in the ring, feels really natural. Cant wait for the sequel which will feature multiplayer as well! Creed has that fun factor though, punches sound great and is just a bit easier fun while Thrill of the Fight.....well you need to be physicly ready :P
I love Thrill of the Fight!! And it’s even harder if you wear 1lb wrist weights and set the breaks in between rounds to 30sec and increase the round time to 5min.
in the fall when i got Thrill of the fight , i went in the backyard and made my gaurdian about 10 X 10, this takes the game to another level when you can actually step around your opponent and do actual footwork ! which is why this game is amazeballs ... but also POP ONE :P
WE NEED MORE BOXING GAMES with realistic Physics just like Thril of Fight...but even better presentation than Creed...both games are awesome...But i preer the realism of Thrill of the fight...This video is correct.
Played thrill and am loving it. The box is the size of your guardian so if you have a decent play space you can move around a fair bit. Played four matches yesterday. 3 mins round 3 rounds total. Shadow boxing with intensity is an amazing workout. I’m in decent Shape but by the end of the fourth match I was sweating a lot, my limbs ached, I was done. Today my back and shoulders are aching with that awesome muscle fatigue workout feeling. Like I did an hour in the gym. So much fun. Get yourself a sweat guard for your VR headset and just let loose. I boxed years ago and I’m trying to throw the best punches I can and not rabbit punch like it’s a video game and I have to say you really feel it if you take it seriously. I’ve seen other comments about the difficulty in knocking out but maybe that’s later fights. I’m only at the start and I knocked out all four so I’m not sure on that. I’m throwing serious punches though and going full tilt. I think it’s yellow for the big hits and blue for regular. Either way you can KO for sure plus the tech measuring the punches seems very good
An amazing fact of TOTF is that it was created by a single person. It is an awesome achievement, better done rather than undone but I agree with your analysis it could be more polished. A blend of the 2 would be a hell of a game
11:20 to get KO shots/knockdowns in early rounds you gotta be hitting at least 3300 on the bag (Normal Difficulty w/ increased speed) otherwise you'll need to set up 8-12 round fights.
Great stuff As an older lifetime gamer and VR enthusiast, this game shows you really quick, just how out of shape you are. Watched both videos and subscribed, and eagerly awaiting TOTF2. Thanks for reminding me just how good this game is, especially coming from a one man studio. Good work, looking forward to more content.
Thank you so much. Your support means more to me than you can imagine. Please check out some of my other content on the channel and look for even more VR content to come.
I bought Thrill of the fight yesterday. The best £7.99 I have ever spent. I love it. I incorporate it into my daily home workout routine. The gyms are closed for some reason.
I own both. I agree that meshing both would be awesome. TotF has the best physics and responsiveness but is missing body shot factors and some bells and whistles. TofF is my go to for a hard workout in VR. Lol. 😂✌️
I am hoping the sequel will flesh out those bells and whistles and add in more body work. They already have an amazing physics system in place, they just need to iterate and give us those bells and whistles and this will be an amazing game.
I beat the final boss on the unfair setting without multipliers and it took over 700 damaging punches before he went down once. Very disheartening when he knocks you down every 4 hits!
That’s where I’m at it’s bullshit. I looked at the stats. At the end when he knocked me out. I hit him 312 times. He hit me 10 times. And knocked me down 4 times before it was stopped.
@@malcolmscott5609 The one thing I noticed on Outclassed is that you you can win with points if you stick and move. If you try and go for a knockout they will most certainly put you on the mat with a handful of punches.
i would reccomend turning your punch multiplyer to 2.5 on thrill of the fight, then playing on outclassed difficulty, you can knock the opponent down but its still challenging and they are more dangerous
I find it possible to knock down opponents on outclassed with just 1.5 and 1.6 multipliers at least 2 times per fight (not round) but I’ve only done the first 4 opponents on outclassed and I’m a long distance runner so I am able to very easily use full force for multiple full fights
I do Thrill, Best Saber and Rowing as my conditioning, then a few weights, followed by a meditation and finally 15 minutes of relaxing on a 360° tropical beach.
It's surprising at how much VR fitness has taken off. I hope developers are taking that into consideration when developing the next generation of headsets.
Thrill of the fight is outstanding and there is a TOTF2 on its way. It is my most played VR game. You can extend beyond the top levels by starting the game standing on a platform, which makes your opponents bigger and therefore longer reach. I use a 5^ offset
Also should note that Knock Out League has some of the best training exercises with the Bag and Mitts training. I've gotten a ton of great value out of just those things... the game play itself is not good, but the training stuff makes it worth while.
Too anybody reading this , thrill of the fight is the real deal for both exercise and for amateur boxers , after 3 fights on thrill of the fight , I woke up the next day and felt like I sparred the night before , without taking damage! It's a GREAT TOOL for $10 even for those competing
I might get hate for this but I think Creed is better than Thrill Of The Fight.Creed just seems so much more realistic and that's what I was looking for.But that doesn't mean that I hate the game it is just that Creed seems much more realistic and I actually do like the in-game stamina system.
Once you have the stamina for thrill of the fights four three minute rounds (or beyond, I'm only up to that level), I think creed's rounds seem too short (maybe this changes later in the game, I refunded an hour in because I didn't want to lose $30 if I was just going to go back to thrill of the fight for my cardio). The breaks seem too long for the length of fight so you don't get to the same level of exhaustion that thrill of the fight makes you go through.
There are a huge amount of adjustments that you can make in the custom fight difficulty settings that'll allow you to cater the experience to best fulfill what you're looking to get from it, shaping your opponent into whatever feels best to you. In the main settings you'll also find that it can make a tremendous difference when you get your gloves aligned properly. The other couple of big adjustments in the main settings are the wrist modifications, which I have turned on as to not allow for exaggerated reach distances which forces me to move my feet. I don't think it's the one called simulate taped wrists, but the other one that's not just off. Then perhaps most importantly, turning the automatic punch power calculator on and off. When off, you can select your own set multiplier instead of having the algorithm constantly recalculate what it thinks you should have. I currently have mine set at 1.4 base and 1.2 hook. I really enjoyed the video and will be back to check out more of your XR content. Cheers.
VR is going to become a big part of my channel in the future, but please check out some of my other content as I cover all kinds of gaming. Thank you so much for your support.
Started boxing but had to give it up when I moved. I needed something to help fill that void till I find time to start training again. Thrill of the Fight absolutely filled that void. From using it to shadow box to conditioning, it's a great play and one hell of a work out. Pro tip: always warm up before you play!!!
Thrill of the fight is definitely a game of endurance it took me a day in a half to beat all of them If you want a game/workout/more realistic game thrill of the fight It goes off of your stamina While creed is arcade like it makes fighting seem easy and it uses game based stamina which is wack so 🤷🏾♂️ its really up to the buyer
Thrill of the Fight is on sale right now for 8 or 9 bucks, was thinking of picking it up since my son is a boxer. Thanks for the thorough review of these games.
Great Review. I bought TOTF. Reading the comments I thought surely you don't sweat playing this, how wrong was I! Sweating my arse off end of first round against the sparring opponent. Its a great game with excellent longevity. Thanks gamer dad.
Thank you so much for the support and kind words. I truly appreciate that. Feel free to check out some of my other reviews as I try to put the same level of attention to all of them.
I love using Creed as kind of a warm up and then getting the real workout with Thrill. Both are great games, but when it comes to realistic action, Thrill wins hands down.
Thrill is not only better (opinion based), but it’s $20 cheaper and it’s a full body workout! What more could you ask for 😅? You don’t need a gym membership, because Thrill will leave you drenched and it’s fun lol.
Great vid! I agree that the winner is TOTF, and that the ideal boxing game would be a mix of the two. I'm in it for the work out, and TOFT is great. And it's serious workout, it's not Beat Saber, you'll sweat your soul. I'd say, if you want an arcade game, pick Creed. If you want a simulator, pick TOTF.
Game dad..two thumbs up for the review .. you hit really good points like the career mode. Most of the games in VR have the same patterns..a lot of WOW factors because of the graphics and FX effects but no real challenging gameplay nor performance. You help me identify the game Creed:Rise to Glory falls into this category. Which honestly is a waste of money ..Why would I pay 30$ to only play an exhibition or demo game..it’s ridiculous these type of games actually cost money another game like this is Spider-Man Vr. Seems like another dirty marketing trick that a lot of gaming companies indulge in.
So Creed isn't a bad game in my opinion. I feel it's more of an arcade experience than a real test of skill. That's why I prefer Thrill over Creed. Thank you so much for your interest in my video.
Just got my Oculus the other day. I’ve wanted it ever since a friend let me try Thrill. Did the demo of Creed and decided to go with Thrill since it was so much cheaper. The first time I played was in my living room. Yesterday I took it down to my mat room. (I teach Jiu Jitsu and kickboxing so I have a 15x10 mat space. Totally opens up the movement. I could actually hit a combo pivot off to the side and get around him and hit him again. Great work out!!!
@@gamerdad7980 the guy that introduced me to the oculus is also a black belt in Jiu Jitsu. He has his own studio, him and his wife play together there. It’s around 25x45!
I got Thrill because it was so much cheaper and it looked like it was no thrills, just get on with it and start training. Great workout and I felt the ache next day, my trunk felt like every muscle was activated. Well worth $9.99.
thrill of the fight is way more realistic, although it feels sometimes like the opponent can take 100 shots and still be standing vs me dropping after a 3 hit combo
I am in love with Thrill of the Fight, totally obsessed. Im not in the best shape so it's a great workout, I do a fight or two every evening. I've gotten pretty good at knocking out my opponents, as far as I can tell, three knock downs in a round will score you a knockout win, I'm now making my way through all opponents on outclassed difficulty, and even got a knockout win over Melky on outclassed, feel like an absolute champion
I'm on the path to do the same. Except I'm trying to get knockout wins on all difficulties. Currently on endurance and trying to knock out Felix but its a challenge. Any ideas/tips?
@@ValentineCrescent tips wise, I'd recommend volume/variety punches to score knockdowns. There are weak spots (temples, chin) aim for temples when they guard the face, then work the body to move their guard around and expose weak points. Keep your head and feet moving if you have enough space as they can put you down in two shots on tougher difficulties. I was just knocked OUT by Vega on endurance difficulty in one body shot! Went straight back in and KO'd him for my revenge lol. Lastly I tend to box southpaw mostly, but choose whichever stance you're most comfortable with
In thrill of the fight at least on normal if you throw punch after punch and you can overwhelm your opponent and take no downs even if you only block like 35% of their hits. The first 2 enemies I fought were on easy and the game was far too much of a cakewalk there. I did the 3rd on normal and he was the first enemy to last into the second round with me. I would try hard difficulty but I don't have it unlocked. Maybe you have to beat the game first?
Thrill of the fight is brilliant! LOVE IT! :-) Now that my quest 2 is in for replacement i`m having withdrawals. TIPS FOR VR FIGHTING: I wont tell you how to punch or how to beat the game, i am however going to tell you about a underlying principle that is the most important to all martial arts. I do grappling, so i dont have any boxing technique. So i would get my ass handeled to me be any boxer with training. But because i remember to breathe and pace myself i do 10 times better then my brother who does not. Believe it or not, but by relaxing your muscle when fighting (Aka not tensing up) you will see a huge fucking improvement. I dont mean that you should relax and not go hard or punsh soft, but dont be tense unless you need too. when punching hard you want the tenseness because it puts your body and resistanze into the punch. But that only lasts for like 0.5 secconds helps ALOT when it comes to not gassing out. Most new BJJ guys use about 3-6 months just learning to not tense up and spazz. Maybe even longer. It might sound strange, but everybody forgets to breathe. When i spar against new people i always, without exception remind them that they have to breathe. When i watch new people box i see the same thing. Look at sprint runners faces when they run. All the face muscles are relaxed, every bit of energy goes to the sprint. When you relax and are not all filled with adrenalin and gassing you can actually use your brain and think. And when you do that you learn twice as much. Pace yourself, know when it is good to use your energy. Sometimes the pay for your energy is low. You can learn to see when the return "profit" is high: GO TIGER GO! Spend that energy when your spidey sense tingles like my balls when i dance. Too sum up: - REMEMBER TO BREATHE - Dont spaz, relax your muscle - Pace yourself
@@gamerdad7980 I cant wait until thrill of the fight 2 releases :-) I have heard rumours that it will have multiplayer :-) Omfg. We can finally slapp around those little squeakers :-)
Creed: You don't have enough stamina to continue effectively punching. _Bitch, why I ain't tired then?_ Thrill: Good luck! _how will I know when I'm tired out?_ Are you tired out? _...yeah._ There ya go.
I am in love with this game. Best VR workout hands down. It destroys me, yet I can’t stop. It will either get me in top shape or give me a heart attack. Please help me.
Hahahah. I would take it easy, especially at the beginning. Try a few fights on normal at first to see how you feel. It's an amazing workout, especially when paired with something else.
If creed was without all that mortal combat shit and more like thrill of fight, it could be very good. Thrill of fight one of the best. doing it almost every day for 1 hour exercise at hard level, I love it :)
Let’s say creed is for people not ready for actual boxing because when you dodge it slows down time and you get special moves. I haven’t tried thrill of the fight yet but it seems way more real and I might buy it
So you absolutely can knock them down, but not out. I don't believe the team is doing anymore work on TofF because they are hard at work on the sequel.
One comment on thrill of the fight knock downs. It wasn't easy to realize, but it is not the game deciding if you stay or not. You gotta hear the direction of the referee, and approach it.
Your the third person to tell me this lol. I tried it out yesterday and it seemed to work. I've reached out to the developers and asked if that's the case.
The developers finally got back to me and said that getting back up is based on how hard the hit was that knocked you down, and how much damage you have taken throughout the match. So essentially you have no input on if you get back up lol.
One last thing on Thrill of the Fight is you want to turn off the auto adjust punching power setting and set your own multipliers...then you wont' have that problem where you feel you should've knocked the guy out with a vicious combo but he's still standing. I think the auto adjust is like an auto catchup for the CPU so definitely turn that off.
@@gamerdad7980 It's personal preference and something you'd tweak as you keep playing the game. Me and my buddy use 1.2x for both at the moment and fighting on Normal setting. There's numerous reddit posts you can reference for suggestions... The important thing here is that it will be a constant setting through the fight as opposed to having the CPU adjust it on the fly for you based on how well you are doing. We had the same frustration as you did where you feel like you should be dropping the guy based on how the fight is going yet you aren't... Making this setting change eliminated that issue completely... and made the game immensely more fun as well as now you have a solid barometer on how you are doing and how you are improving from day to day.
Thrill of the Fight gives you a better realism experience, not in graphics, I mean the gameplay, there's no slow mo, you literally stand there and fight.
I haven’t played creed but I did buy thrill of the fight a few days ago on sale my god I love it it’s so much fun and a great workout. I wish it would teach people how to box, because I used to box before and trying to teach my son, but I wish thrill of the fight has the basics to boxing regardless I love it.
I have no problem dropping people on thrill of the fight unless I play on outclassed. If Thrill of the Fight had an online mode, I'd be playing it everyday.
Damn dude whaaaaatttt...i always wondered why they made it without or havent updated it...that would be amazing...i dont think ill ever play another game lol
@@gamerdad7980 when I did it, it was probably the only time I felt legitimately proud of a gaming achievement. I have been boxing for like 7 years, and this game is more realistic than I thought.
I don't think Creed is a bad game by any means, but if you are looking for some realistic boxing, Thrill is the way to go. Creed is more arcade-like. It's kinda like if they made punch out in VR lol
If you set your guardian to room scale and draw a bigger boundary, you can have a ring, a small ring, a medium, ring, a large ring etc. The only problem I ha e genuinely found is you can't lean back out of range with your head, because the tracking simply assumes you walked backwards and are stood straight/stationary in the headset. if you do any Mayweather/Willy Pep lean away move, the opponent just move into thw space where your body is lol. It means the game promotes blocking much more than ducking and diving, at least off the back foot.
I tried the Creed demo and there are too many punch lags. Too many times you take a big swing nothing happens. Sometimes you barely jab a guy and he’s out colder than a dead polar bear. Although the graphics in Creed looks way better, TOTF is just a workout joy especially for the price. My initial mistake in TTOTG was fighting each opponent in ascending order. It’s better to warmup with one or two fights, then jump to the champion Moneymaker then work your way down to lesser opponents as you get more tired.
Never played thrill, but my friends and I love Creed. The demo sold me on Creed. Ive seen videos of the 2, I get the feeling graphically, Creed is a superior boxing game.
You should try Thrill, you'll never go back to Creed after... in Thrill you can actually move around the ring with your own feet (based on how big your play area is), and you don't have a stamina bar, the stamina is just your own. Granted there is no multiplayer that's the only drawback. But you get a much better real boxing experience.
As a boxer(kickboxer mostly but I have boxed) thrill of the fight was a much more authentic experience. I used it to get my mind ready for sparring after a long layoff and it helped me shake some rust (not all but a lot, sparring a real human is an important aspect.)
I only have psvr so Creed is my game....really great fighting game and would be so much better if they would just let you punch as much as you want and not be forced to block so much. I really would love to play Thrill of the fight....maybe one day.
The did introduce a mode on the Oculus version that removes the stamina. I have it for PCVR and I don't know why they didn't release the mode for the PSVR nd PCVR versions.
i have knocked out people before a tko with a body blow. You gotta throw those hard ass punches for it to happen in the stomach or face. No soft stuff or you can't knock them out. You get a feel for your power doing the practice sessions like the heavy bag where you can actually see how hard the game is registering your punches. You prob need to be hitting the guy with around 2k.2.5k min damage to really start rocking your opponent.
@@gripken08 I wish I could share the screenshot I have of their statement. They said it's not possible due to the static animation used. The original game was made by one guy so it's understandable that there are some shortcomings.
i recently got a vr for my bday and got creed cause a friend of my dad has it and it was really fun. i’m looking for something realistic but can also be a good work out. i think im gonna check out thrill of the fight!
The blue is the lightest hit and does the least bit of damage. Yellow medium damage and red the most damage and will most likely lead to a cut or knockdown if you keep the pressure on.
TOTF hands down. Here's my theory on getting up when you get knocked down, you have to follow the Refs count down voice and walk towards it. Body blow kd has happened for me (liver blow). It was actually my only 1 true knock down stoppage (not the 3 kd in a single rd tko). Once you learn how to block punches, you can move around more strategically, and return for counter blows. This game is very realistic. Keep on playing, tweak the settings, experiment and improve. Also another tip is to use custom settings. Set the opponents chin to 99% or lower. Because yes, i agree the knockouts are super hard to get without it. 99% can still a bit tough, if you aren't trying to "box" and utilize the full 12 rounds, enploy this method.
Your not the first person to mention the face the ref thing for the count. I've reached out to the developers to see if that's actually a thing. I tried it myself yesterday and it did seem to work.
Just talked to the devs and they said that getting up is based on how hard the hit that knocked you down was, and how much damage you took during the fight.
About the guardian boundary. If you have a big enough play space than it's completely realistic. I can actually "walk" around the whole ring, and it feels like I'm actually boxing. One of the big things that frustrate me is that the tracking is a little slow so sometimes my punches are too fast, and the game doesn't register that the guy got hit.
something that will make that tracking a lil better is going to settings and changing the tracking frequency to 60hz if you haven't already and also using 1.5v rated batteries like Duracell
So I did not cover the fact that Creed offers multiplayer, however I could not talk about it because every time I tried to get a match, nobody was playing.
That is very true
I had to wait like 7 mins just to get someone to fight

Nearly all of the youtube comments and game reviews left by women gamers almost always include an interest in/request that female boxers get added as an option.
well who really says the boxer is a man or women
its really just assumed
I used to do mma and so far thrill has been the closest to replicating the expirence
Creed: wii boxing/punch out
Thrill: boxing simulator
Agreed. It feels like Creed is the VR version of Punch Out lol
(Keep in mind i do power punches for those 15 minutes! i give it my all!)
The pro for Thrill of the Fight is that ability to move around in the ring, feels really natural. Cant wait for the sequel which will feature multiplayer as well! Creed has that fun factor though, punches sound great and is just a bit easier fun while Thrill of the Fight.....well you need to be physicly ready :P
@@rulerz7950 It's ten dollars, dude.
I love Thrill of the Fight!! And it’s even harder if you wear 1lb wrist weights and set the breaks in between rounds to 30sec and increase the round time to 5min.
Dude holy crap lol. I think I would kill myself hahahaha. It's an amazing workout and you seem like you are on advanced mode lol.
@GEOTUSREX There are actually several things like this on the market to make your workout a bit tougher lol
Bro, I have to wear a sweatband when playing "Thrill of the Fight"
Yeah, in between rounds I am lifting the headset and wiping myself down each time lol.
in the fall when i got Thrill of the fight , i went in the backyard and made my gaurdian about 10 X 10, this takes the game to another level when you can actually step around your opponent and do actual footwork ! which is why this game is amazeballs ... but also POP ONE :P
I think I would get sick playing population one lol.

WE NEED MORE BOXING GAMES with realistic Physics just like Thril of Fight...but even better presentation than Creed...both games are awesome...But i preer the realism of Thrill of the fight...This video is correct.
I’ve been waiting so long for someone to make this comparison. Thank you so much!
Thank you, I appreciate the support
Oh absolutely, being created by a single person is a MAJOR achievement. It's super impressive.
If TOTF had Creed’s training section, it’d be close to perfect.
Great video! Thrill of The Fight is basically the best thing to happen to my life in 2020 lol
It's the most fun I have had working out in a long time.
Ayyy the best iceberg maker 🤩
@@RealLilVodka ayyyyy
11:20 to get KO shots/knockdowns in early rounds you gotta be hitting at least 3300 on the bag (Normal Difficulty w/ increased speed) otherwise you'll need to set up 8-12 round fights.
Great stuff
As an older lifetime gamer and VR enthusiast, this game shows you really quick, just how out of shape you are.

I'm currently going through everyone again on Endurance and once I'm done there I will move on to outclassed. So much fun.
That’s where I’m at it’s bullshit. I looked at the stats. At the end when he knocked me out. I hit him 312 times. He hit me 10 times. And knocked me down 4 times before it was stopped.
What was your strategy to win
@@Christian_counsel work the body, keep moving and don’t be greedy and try for a knockout.
I'll give that a try, thank you
I find it possible to knock down opponents on outclassed with just 1.5 and 1.6 multipliers at least 2 times per fight (not round) but I’ve only done the first 4 opponents on outclassed and I’m a long distance runner so I am able to very easily use full force for multiple full fights

3 minutes into the video & I can already say you’re work is great! Good job on the vid man, keep it up
Thank you so much for your support. I learn more and more with each video.
Thrill of the fight is outstanding and there is a TOTF2 on its way. It is my most played VR game. You can extend beyond the top levels by starting the game standing on a platform, which makes your opponents bigger and therefore longer reach. I use a 5^ offset
Interesting. I still have trouble just playing regular so I'll stick with that for now lol.
I cannot reccomend Thrill of the Fight enough. A few rounds a day and I've lost so much weight! Extremely fun
Also should note that Knock Out League has some of the best training exercises with the Bag and Mitts training. I've gotten a ton of great value out of just those things... the game play itself is not good, but the training stuff makes it worth while.
Thrill of the Fight and Beat Saber are the only two games on my Oculus Quest. They are superb for work out.
Fitness via VR has been one of the most surprising aspects of this emerging tech. It's amazing.
Try Blaston, you've been missing out

Too anybody reading this , thrill of the fight is the real deal for both exercise and for amateur boxers , after 3 fights on thrill of the fight , I woke up the next day and felt like I sparred the night before , without taking damage! It's a GREAT TOOL for $10 even for those competing
That whole intro u did was hilarious lol great video ! Looks like I'm buying the thrill of the fight
Thank you, I appreciate the support! Thrill is definitely worth it.
I might get hate for this but I think Creed is better than Thrill Of The Fight.Creed just seems so much more realistic and that's what I was looking for.But that doesn't mean that I hate the game it is just that Creed seems much more realistic and I actually do like the in-game stamina system.
Nah, no hate. Personally, I like them both for different reasons, but I prefer Thrill of the Fight.
Great review. Thrill of the fight is definitely my pick personally
Thank you. I feel the same way, but both have their merits. I can't wait for Thrill 2.
I’m actually gaining muscle mass from TotF. It really makes you push past your normal limits.
When used with another workout, I think it can produce amazing results.
Started boxing but had to give it up when I moved. I needed something to help fill that void till I find time to start training again. Thrill of the Fight absolutely filled that void. From using it to shadow box to conditioning, it's a great play and one hell of a work out.
Pro tip: always warm up before you play!!!
Absolutely, I found that a great warm up is essentially before you start playing or you will regret it lol.

I love using Creed as kind of a warm up and then getting the real workout with Thrill. Both are great games, but when it comes to realistic action, Thrill wins hands down.

So basically modern warfare 2019 vs cold war
Cold war
Both games kinda suck when it comes to stand alone multiple player but warzone and (cold war zombies) are pretty good
Not at all, Modern Warfare was one of the best CoD’s in a while, Cold War was also a brilliant game. Thrill of the fight is amazing and Creed sucks.
@@hydra5707 no I meant thrill of the fight is more realistic (modern warfare) and creed rise to glory is cartoony (Cold War)
I wish I had the space for that. It would be so awesome to have the guardian boundary as big as the actual ring.

thrill of the fight is way more realistic, although it feels sometimes like the opponent can take 100 shots and still be standing vs me dropping after a 3 hit combo
Depends on the level you are playing at, but yeah lol
After every time you defeat an opponent, you should be unlocking the next difficulty for that opponent.
Thrill of the fight gives me such a great workout! Good Vid.
Thank you for the support. I appreciate it.
Thrill of the fight is 10x better in my opinion especially cuz its only $10
That definitely plays a part in it. However I just think the mechanics are better.
Thrill of the fight is brilliant!

Now that my quest 2 is in for replacement i`m having withdrawals.
TIPS FOR VR FIGHTING:
I wont tell you how to punch or how to beat the game, i am however going to tell you about a underlying principle that is the most important to all martial arts.
But that only lasts for like 0.5 secconds
helps ALOT when it comes to not gassing out.
Too sum up:
- REMEMBER TO BREATHE
- Dont spaz, relax your muscle
- Pace yourself
Thank you for all the good tips. Thrill is my favorite vr experience so far and I'm excited for more.

I haven’t tried thrill of the fight yet but it seems way more real and I might buy it
If you enjoy Creed even a little bit, but want something more out of your boxing game, absolutely pick up TOTF. You won't be disappointed.
Nice comparison. I don't know if Thrill Of The Fight has been patched since this review, but yesterday I knocked my opponent down with a liver shot.
@@gamerdad7980 oooh a clarifying on this would be awesome. Thanks for that!!
@@daywalker6747 Yeah they still have not gotten back to me lol.
What's a good measurement for the multiplier? Like how do I know what to set it at?
I'll try messing with the multipliers the next time I play. Thank you for the suggestion.
I love Creed and Rocky but as far as game experience goes I enjoyed thrill of the fight far better
The Rocky and Creed movies are some of my favorite of all time, but Thrill just takes the cake in terms of a VR experience.
I'm a Thrill Of The Fight fan... Great workout.
A training mode would really add another dimension to this game, and I hope it's something the devs are thinking about adding.
I have no problem dropping people on thrill of the fight unless I play on outclassed. If Thrill of the Fight had an online mode, I'd be playing it everyday.
The sequel is set to have multiplayer and I can't wait to get my hands on it
@@gamerdad7980 I want them to release it already 😂

Stand in the pocket, trade, duck, dodge, block. Great game. Then you don't have to worry about the locomotion.
I liked how you had the ability to move around the ring in Creed, but it was weirdly implemented.
Thrill of the fight is amazing. Creed on the other hand, not so much
I do like Creed for it's presentation and graphics. However the in-ring game of Thrill is head and shoulders above Creed.
If you can beat all fighters on outclassed on TOTF, with 2 or less multiplier, without any kind of cheesing, you have my respect as an athlete.
I'm working my way up to that lol.

I can see this channel blowing up :)
I hope so. Thank you.
That kind of sucks I wanted a game that would let and make me fight off the back foot lol
So I didn't have an issue with lag. My biggest pet peeve was the stamina system.
Never played thrill, but my friends and I love Creed. The demo sold me on Creed. Ive seen videos of the 2, I get the feeling graphically, Creed is a superior boxing game.
Yeah the overall presentation of Creed is much better than Trill, but I love Thrill for the realistic in ring action.
I loved the demo I played all day
You should try Thrill, you'll never go back to Creed after... in Thrill you can actually move around the ring with your own feet (based on how big your play area is), and you don't have a stamina bar, the stamina is just your own.
You're missing out if you don't play TOTF. More realistic and lots more fun
I prefer thrill of the fight tbh. The boxing is more fun.
It feels more like a boxing sim than an arcade game (which Creed feels like).
Would love it if the fightnight franchise came to VR ..grate video though
I think that would be high on the Thrill 2 wishlist (licensed fighters), however they are a very small company, so I don't see that happening.
Thrill of the fight you have to go to the settings and up the damage to ko someone I personally don't use this so I get a excercise
Yeah I leave everything on default and I get a heck of a workout.
I agree but that's also why they need to stop saying it's a simulation no one could take that much damage and get up by the count of 5

I think creed is one of my favorite games because the game lets me test my reaction time i never played thrill of the fight tho
Never realized it was "YO Adrian" lol
i have knocked out people before a tko with a body blow.
So TKO yes, but not KO. The developers themselves have stated that it is not possible to knock out someone with a body shot.
I'm going to double check the recorded video i have because I'm not so sure about this statement.
@@gripken08 I wish I could share the screenshot I have of their statement. They said it's not possible due to the static animation used. The original game was made by one guy so it's understandable that there are some shortcomings.
Quality comparison/review mate! Subscribed for more VR content!
Thank you for the support. VR is about to become a major part of the channel. Stay tunned.
@@gamerdad7980 - great! Looking forwards to it 👍
Check out my latest VR review, Duck Season.
Only thing I don't like ab thrill is you can't really use a shoulder roll you have to traditional guard
Can you shoulder roll in creed
I don't believe you can in either game.
i recently got a vr for my bday and got creed cause a friend of my dad has it and it was really fun. i’m looking for something realistic but can also be a good work out. i think im gonna check out thrill of the fight!
It is definitely more realistic than Creed, but Creed is fun in it's own right.
Gamer Dad 79 alright thank u!
Awesome vid. Great info.
What is the difference between a blue hit and a yellow one in Thrill of the fight?
Great video! How are you keeping the video so stabilized? Are you using link?
Thank you for the comment. I used a link cable to my PC for Creed, but Thrill was a straight Oculus Quest 2 game.
@@gamerdad7980 thank you! you’re the man. Keep it up.
@@nodeflection5827 I truly appreciate it.
Not to mention thrill of the fight is $10 and creed is $30
Yep, there is that as well
About the guardian boundary.
Looks like the devs listened. There is now a mode or ability to play without the stamina concept and thus your own performance.
Yeah for the Quest version only I think. Unfortunately I have the PCVR version.
