Soon after first getting to my first stable, I captured a black and white horse who I registered under the name Oreo. It's only then that the stablemaster told me they still had my BotW horses. The first of those, who I had forgotten about, was a black and white horse named Oreo. I guess I'm consistent in my naming
I only ever use one horse, and that's Midna - the white horse from BOTW that's heavily implied to be the descendent of Zelda's horse. -because like Midna, I'd like to see Zelda ride it someday-
Additionally, enhancing the glide set to level 2 with a great fairy and wearing the full set negates ALL fall damage, no matter how long or fast you fall. You can jump down from the Stormwind Arch and still hit the bottom of Tanagar Canyon without turning Link into a heroic puddle of blood and organs
I've definitely taken damage while wearing the full set (fully upgraded). I'm still figuring out the details, but it seems like it's more likely to happen if you're actively diving and/or have been diving (so have more speed) vs. normal "gliding." It always surprises me when it happens, like... I thought this suit negated all fall damage!
@@nicked_fenyx Perhaps you THOUGHT you were wearing the full wing suit? I nosedived from the top of the floating Akkala maze, all the way to the bottom in the Depths. No damage, held R the entire time.
Should also note that doing the side quest for Josha to get autobuild also allows Robbie to go back to the lab at Hateno Village to give you the Purah Pad upgrades.
I think you have to complete 1 temple first too. I got autobuild almost immediately when starting, and Robbie wouldn't move until I finished the water temple (my first one).
Good note on the Bargainer statues, if you want to avoid paying for their locations: Each Bargainer statue has a Hylia statue counterpart on the surface. Small Hylia statues found in the towns don't count. Their counterparts are the giant Hylia statues found in specific locations in Hyrule.
Was about to say this. The Plains Bargainer Statue is directly beneath the Temple of Time on the Great Sky Island. I realized that each of the Bargainer statues was directly beneath a Great Goddess Statue when I paid for a second location, and saw it was directly beneath the Spring of Wisdom.
You forgot to mention the best thing about the glide armor. If you have the whole set and upgrade all three pieces twice it has a set bonus that allows you to have no fall damage.
You forgot about "Infiltrate the Yiga Hideout" which gives you the means to get some of the best abilities in the game, including something the Blademasters loved to use against you.
The main benefit of infiltrate the yiga is the yiga outfit itself. All those silly roadside traps, or "researchers" in the depths, I just slip on the yiga outfit to talk to them, and they offer you gifts, or helpful comments, etc. Instead of having to kill *another* stupid yiga guy.
@@stevenn1940 I like to think Misko and Link just have this back and forth while everyone's not looking. Like a hidden rivalry of stealing armor from each other.
Naaaaah. Remember Link waking up naked and empty-handed again at the start of the game? He is the reason. He stole everything in your possession whilst you were unconscious.
problem is, there aren't very many stal horses, and they're hard to find, and they're not in a lot of areas. But agree. Sometimes stal horses are great.
Yes. Though sadly also the ones you have already cleared - so you have to pin a few locations, check on the map which ones you have already found, mark the new ones and then pin some more.
@@anonymousgerbil8336if you look closely a cave icon will appear on the map for caves you have found. Along with this a tick will also appear on that cave icon if you've cleared it out.
As a tip, all 3 glide armor pieces are super easy to find. The islands you win them on are the only 3 groups of islands that are stacked completely vertically in a tall column. You can see all 3 from basically anywhere.
I'd say if you want to experience the story in a semi-organic way, you should head to a geoglyph, find Impa, then go to the Forgotten Temple that she points you to. It'll give an in-game map to the geoglyphs, and tell you which order they go in to experience the Tears of the Dragon memories in chronological order. There's no tough fights, just exploration, discovery, and a lead to the best revelations not detailed in the main questline.
I went to go see Impa before I got the hangglider and she tried to kill me. Took me up in a balloon and told me to jump out. Guess that's what I get for losing Zelda again. (jokes on her - I just put the fire in the balloon out with a splashfruit)
@Akshat Singhal yeah the murals in the walls tell you what order to find them in as they are next to each other beginning with the zonai Rauru and ends with the master sword I didn't know there was an order to it cuz I found the frog one before I found Impa
I would also recommend visiting Hateno Village. There's a LOT of really fun quests to do there, many of which unlock unique items. If you do Cece's quest you can get a special hat (which... uh... looks nice I guess... :/), and if you do the mayor's quest you can unlock Hateno Cheese. There's another quest that lets you unlock Sun Pumpkins too, and the Dye Shop owner will make special paraglider patterns if you bring him pictures of certain enemies (he'll tell you which ones). Plus, you can also visit Zelda's house (formerly Link's house in Breath of the Wild). Talking to Cece while wearing the Hylian hood also lets you change its appearance so Link has the hood down like in the game art. There's also the quest where you save Lurelin Village from pirates, and then help them rebuild. Its a good one if you for some reason want to see Bolson again. Terry Town also has a wholesome quest where you help out Hudson's daughter prepare to visit Gerudo Town, and doing that quest will let you buy your own plot of land to build your own custom house.
I'd argue one of the most useful things to find in the early game isn't a side quest at all, but instead finding the numerous maps to key features of Hyrule that are present if you look for them. So far I've found at different points: a map of the major population centers (in the Emergency Shelter of Lookout Landing), a map of the geoglyph locations (back of Forgotten Temple), a map of Yiga Clan strongholds (in any Yiga stronghold you might run across), a map of Cherry Blossom tree locations (present in a number of stables), and map of all stables in Hyrule (on the table in front of Traysi in the Clover Gazette). You can take a picture of these maps and keep them in the Purah Pad to reference whenever you need to. It can make polishing off a number of side quests much easier.
thank you for this comment (specially about the cherry blossom map because I am trying to complete the bubbulfrogs), as I prefer to get hints in-game rather than checking a map on the internet!
Do not just do Zelda's golden horse quest and be done! Do all of the potential princess sightings quest and you'll get the froggy suit which makings you be 100% slip proof if ya wear all 3 pieces! This armor is my new best friend
@@hannahh8886 Yeah, after joining the Lucky Clover Gazette as Penn's partner (it's just east of Rito Village), head to the Woodland Stable to start up the quest chain.

Mine didn't, because who needs horses when he can build a tank now! 😂 But I am glad that the group photo that you get in the BotW expansion (champion's ballad) is in my (Zelda's) home.
I was so glad! Not ony did I not have to start a new horse and bond with it all over again, I had the white horse and had customized it's mane. Was really happy to have it and a few other horses back as well!
I named all my horses after Celtic horse gods and goddesses following the naming scheme of Epona. My Goldie is named Belinos. He was additionally a god of the sun so the gold horse thing works
I feel like it's worth mentioning with the Lucky Clover Gazette that you need to join as a reporter before you can start the Stable Trotter's quest and reap the benefits thereof.
Second this, specifically, but it's a symptom of a bit of a larger focus here. You NEED to go to Rito Village FIRST in the story. The game sorta' funnels you there like BoTW does with Zora's domain, but in a much less active way. The Lucky Clover Gazette is mandatory for unlocking any fairy fountains, and you will likely miss Hestu if you do not follow the road into Tabantha plains first. The Rito quest is also just the best to start with, since I find the dungeons don't scale very well with story in this game despite being able to be completed in any order.
@@HollowGolem To me it was the toughest but only because I hadn't got the hang of it yet. The other ones took less than half an hour each. I didn't notice you could see on the map where to go, I just blindly searched.
I love you singing Poe Poe Poe from the Austrian Eurovision Act ❤. I did also whistle the song during my Poe hunts. A side-quest I really liked was in South-East at Lurelin village that is taken over by enemy’s, and the people did abandoned the village. And it was your task to restore peace and build up the damaged houses. Great video, loved it 🥰
Second that ! Also, for the Hylian rice, you can get it pretty easily by mowing down grass in certain regions (if I remember correctly, I got mine from doing that around Kakariko village or around Hateno or maybe even both, I'm sure I didn't buy it, you really need rupees this time around for so much more than in BotW)
Most recipes are like that in These games, greens in a specific recipe can usually be replaced by any herb to make a similar unique recipe, same with fish, mushrooms, and fruit. The things you CANNOT replace are things like salt, butter, milk, cheese, meats are unique in that replacing them is unlikely to change the effect, but almost certain to change the name and recipe unless you change only the "tier" of the meat(regular meat, prime, gourmet, as opposed to the bird meats which do have their own tiers, or fish meats, or crab meats). Edit: flowers also tend to replace herbs unless called out.
similar to the tip that light roots are under shrines, the terrain itself is the same as the ground level but inverted - mountain on land are vallys in the depths - great for avoiding a unexpected sudden cliff face
I also want to suggest doing a certain questline that starts when you visit the old Yiga Clan hideout from BotW. It'll also unlock a new stamina-based ability for Link. It's really good.
You don't have to specifically start from there. A different side questline (which you also probably want to do) directly intersects with one of the objectives of this questline and give hints to the rest of the objectives. You'll know when it intersects when some yiga members ambush you directly. (you don't actually get the quest objectives, but hints all over the area points you to where you should go)
@@sinteleon Yeah, that's what I did because another quest sent me down that path, but this way you're officially given the quest, which can be helpful in a game with this many distractions and detours in an adventure.
here's a quick tip for upgrading armor or healing gloom hearts: When you find a sky island where sundelions are if it has a lot of them go to the map and mark it with the leaf stamp and go back when you're running low or just want to make sure you have enough. Hope this helped 😊
Another one is the goddess statue in the Great Plateau. Completing the quest will give you a heart container or stamina depending on your choosing. Not very hard, just rather tedious but the reward is worth the time.
@@cipher93231 locate the outer wall of the plateau. Go to the path intersection left of Forest of time. Look at the wall which should have a bombable wall. Orientation is towards temple of time and to the right side of great plateau chasm
There's a quest in the Temple of Time ruins on the Great Plateau that leads you to the autobuild place as well as another bargainer statue. So it's not really cheesing to skip the statue following. The devs just added multiple ways for you to stumble on the autobuild feature.
Heh, I completely stumbled upon it by chance when I made my way to the plateau, saw the hole, dived in and noticed the massive structure. I like how when you do it before you start the quest, Josha will be like "oh, you already have it!"
@@cheddarsunchipsyes8144 Go to Eventide Island's Depth Chasm, complete the event there (it isn't too difficult), then get your reward. It makes your traversal down there soo much nicer.
I highly recommend hunting down the Yiga armor early game. Access to the Yiga Clan Hideout leads to quite a few unique gibs: the Earthwake technique (think the attack that Blademasters use), the Lightning Helm (a replicated version of the Gerudo relic that negates Lightning damage completely), and eventually a free Eightfold Longblade (untainted!). It's also a good way to get stealth armor without spending rupees or extreme exploration, like the Evil Spirit armor from the Lomei Labyrinths. Speaking of, I highly recommend that side quest as well.
Yeah, I got autobuild by accident, instead of the quest. Same with the golden horse. I randomly saw it in the field, thought it looked awesome. Went to the stable to register it, noticed the Gazette guy and talked to him, immediately got a quest completed without starting.
I love the quest line involving the Stable Trotters and finding and helping the rest of the band. The music they play is so pretty and the cutscenes are cute. (And it unlocks the Great Fairys) The side quests in Hateno are pretty funny and I highly recommend helping out at the Hateno school when you can. Tarrey Town and the quests there is also super heartwarming. Especially for a new addition to some familiar faces. Also I named my golden horse Soleil.
Once you finish Gerudo and Zora, there are side quests there that will give you the strongest spear and the strongest sword. Combined those with a silver Lynel Horn and you will be killing stuff left and right quick. If you are near breaking them, go to Tarre town and separate them, attach them to a low level weapon or shield (cause they are legendary and legendary can't be fixed any other way), and have the Octorocks near Death Mountain eat them and spit them back at you fixed... OR you could do those quests again but once you see the materials to craft those weapons, you'll find yourself hugging the Octorocks
The legendary weapons didn't impress me much, because they can't be repaired, can't be upgraded by octoroks, and when you want to replace them, they're expensive AF. I think it's easier and better to get weapons from the ghosts in the depths.
100% this, when I first got these weapons I just put them in my house because last game they sucked, but when I realized this I immediately got them back. Also the spear gives Sidon a use so thats nice
@@edwardnedharvey8019 the weapons can be repaired tho? As the commenter said, attach them to another weapon and do as normal with octorocks. Your right about the octorock buffs, but doing 100+ damage without any buffs or special armors can really only be replicated with Royal Claymores about to break, so those 2 legendary weapons are way better IMO.
@@hearforthemusic9814 I would highly recommend checking out the Gerudo Scimitar, or really any other Gerudo weapons since they all have the same effect (but the scimitar speed is way better). They double the attack power of any attached item, meaning that a silver Lynel Horn's 55 atk+ ends up adding 110 atk+. It's pretty crazy. And they're repairable, as well as buff-able with the octorocks. Pro-tip, go to the depths under Gerudo town to find the primo Gerudo weapons for even more damage. Side note, you can do the Gerudo quest to unlock the Scimitar of the Seven, which has the same doubling effect, is a bit more powerful, and way more durable) but you have to attach it to a non-legendary weapon to repair it, which makes it slightly annoying.
I would really recommend doing the great fairies quest early on. They work as tutorial for different vehicles and knowing in advance what you'll need to upgrade your favourite armour helps with the farming
Unexpectedly useful quests were the mayoral quest line in Hateno. Unlocks a new ingredient item that allows you to make pizza! (Also gives you a hat, but pizza > hat.) Named my golden horse El Dorado (literally "the gold" but also has some lore in there). 💛
I'm just finding this out now ._. Damn it I needed this info much sooner xD but ehh at least when they release a master mod later on im.hoping, now I'll be able to get a boosted Tulin :)
I thought this too. Then I got enough "Sage's Wills", and powered up Tulin, which apparently increased his attack power. So I think it might actually just do that. I mean, I still put the helms on when I want more gusts or charges (especially since the Vah Medoh helm is at 4 stars, while my snow quill headress is only at 2), but I'm not at all sure if they actually reduce cooldown.
I would highly recommend going to one of the stables in the northeast, forgot which one specifically, and meet a little round music man, who coincidentally has locked behind him EVERY great fairy
I follow a bunch of you limeys online and I keep hearing about Eurovision but I still have no idea what it is besides some kind of long running singing competition. And yes, I absolutely refuse to google it.
A little side note/addition to the hero helmet hunting section, by wearing the helmet, if you've completed the main story quest for that region your partner will also be wearing said helmet. Also, apples! you can also feed the stable dogs fruits like apples if you're trying to be a little stingy on your meat supply!
I once tried to tell my mother that there’s no such thing as a “bad neighborhood”. She replied, “Then why do 9 out of 10 people in The Depths try to kill you?!”
exploring the sky islands of each region completely as you go through them was an easy way to get Sage's Will super early in the game. Upgrading Tulin in the first 15 hours of the game made combat such a breeze from there forward. Combine that with the Helm and Tulin turns into a headshot machine lol
13:15 You still get like 20 Rupees (I believe in a full total) upon opening every single treasure chest in that cave (including the ones hidden under veils of dirt or buried in the floors and walls) along with finding the actual Misko Treasure Chest. The brothers gave up way too easily, in my opinion. That's what I did at least; feed Dog Meat some food and got led to the right chest, then opened every single other chest the brothers didn't open up and took every single green rupee for myself. Oh well, finders keepers. :P
I didn't bother getting a dog to show me the way - I just went around opening everything I could find (partly out of spite, partly for the mindless relaxation time)
I'm not allowing myself to watch TotK content, but I'm interested in this one. Btw, my first horse's name (coming over from BotW btw) is Kicker, cuz' it almost killed me with a kick back when I first started my 560hr playthrough a long time ago. Glad we got to keep them!
It's easy enough to find the island of courage.. but there are three, for a full set of glider gear. You can typically make them out by the tall arrangement of ring-shaped islands at each site. They do not appear to slow your fall except in an updraft, but they vastly improve horizontal movement speed while gliding. You may not need all three pieces to get a comfortable speed, HOWEVER... Upgrading the full set to level 2 unlocks the set bonus "Impact Proof". As the name suggests, this makes you immune to any and all fall damage while wearing the full set at this upgrade level. Great for if you don't sweat defense too much but like the freedom of being able to land anywhere without deploying the glider.
@@gammaboy4568 god that sounds amazing. I was just fighting the ice boss last night. Just having the one piece of glider gear was so helpful (and looked amazing in the cutscenes) but I fully missed how close I was to the ground and instantly died from fall damage.

Some of these treasures I discovered on accident. Like Zelda's horse. I just thought a Golden horse was cool and caught it. Took it to the stable and "Oh cool! It's Zelda's!"
Yeah, I was glyph hunting and saw the shiny horse. Tried to register it and the stable guy said "Oh, we were looking for that, go talk to the quest giver." Maybe not a direct quote...
When I landed I Hyrule I immediately got distracted by shiny things and didn’t get my glider for hours, to the point where I was very frustrated with the game for removing the convenient mobility from the previous entry. My recommendation: head to lookout landing to unlock the glider and the sky view towers (as well as half these quests) right away!
Surprised you didn't mention the Great Fairy Quests. You don't just the babes this time, you gotta serenade them now. Or rather, find the musicians that will play the instruments they want to hear and help them out on their quests. The Great Fairies are as useful to your quest as they are thicc.
Just an advice: on one of mission you will require catching firefly, on stable south of hylian lake bettle sell them here and you can spam buy it by reset the day either by sleeping on stable or campfire this also usefull for stealth suit upgrade
the bond the divine helms mention is more than just flavor text, if you look at your sage’s spirits while wearing them, the respective sage will be wearing a mask as well it’s possible this is the same as the effect as if you’ve gathered 4 sages wills and selected that sage for the bond upgrade
I think that the Zonaite helmet may also have an effect on a certain other character (if you know, you know)... I remember seeing it somewhere before, but I forgot to test it ):
I'm at 80 hours and only finished 1 temple, lol. Way too fun scouring the field for side stuff and rewards. I love how many armor sets are in the game.
Ganon's horse from BOTW I named Ganonhorse, Zelda's white horse from BOTW is Zeldo, and the new golden horse (when I get around to it, after side-tracking for another 10 years of in-game stuff to do) is either gonna be Charlie or Wonka!
My horse name is Friday II, in honour of my BOTW horse Friday, which in itself was named after the infamous riddle. Fun fact, my Red Dead Redemption 2 horse was also called Friday. If I keep up this trend, I reckon I'll name my 13th horse Jason.
It's not a quest, per se, but it's worth visiting every mine in the Depths that you can. They all have some kind of treasure, either crystalline charges to directly upgrade your battery or armor bits, and there's generally tons of Zonaite around for further scavenging.
The glide set is amazing. It’s impact proof! Damn, the statue didn’t give me any directions. Sure you could do that, but then you wouldn’t get the like 15 rubies
Saw the end ‘chapter’ name for the video and here’s my answer Golden horse - Karot My normal horse - Mincemeat My battle horse - Wright My horse for goofing around on - Relic Giant white stallion - Amphitere Ganons horse - Chungus Epona - Epona
I name all my horses in Hawaiian (it’s a practice my family does with our pets in real life), while my main horse is named Hina (short for ʻAhinahina or Grey because of his long grey hair), I named Zelda’s horse “Wai Kula” which is effectively the word for Gold (it’s more along the lines of “valuable”, but it works)
kula alone is the hawaiian form of the English word "gold", but it also has other meanings, like field, or school, but especially when paired with other words, like wai, which is fresh water. waikula does not translate to "gold water" or even "valuable water". the closest is waikulai which means flood.
I gave my horse the name Hylia to match its golden sheen (I know Hylia wasnt one of the 3 creator golden goddesses, but the name just fits better for a horse meant specifically for zelda)
Personally I'd recommend the Infiltrating the Yiga Clan, this side quest leads to the Yiga amour, making all Yiga clan members non hostile while wearing the full set, and can also net you the Lighting Helm with the lighting proof effect
@@lasercraft32 oh it does, and I can't tell you the feeling of fighting in a thunderstorm getting struck, taking no damage as everything near you is blown away, it's awesome
You don't need Hyrule Herb to make Sunny Porridge - the Sundelion acts as your 'wild green' You also don't need to buy Hylian Rice, you can just cut tall grass around water (I also don't buy milk, I trade acorns for it in Hateno Village) I had no idea Josha's continued quest led to Autobuild, however, since I have yet to follow through with any of the regional quest lines I don't feel like I cheesed getting Autobuild, though. I got it when I was riding my horse by the Great Plateau, saw the old gate entrance was bombable, stopped to bomb it, got the quest from the Bargain Statue, and fell off a cliff in the Depths while doing that quest line and discovered the Yiga at the Great Abandoned Mine
I realized there was cool things under the cities, particularly the zonai merchants. And then I spent an hour + trying to find wherever the central hyrule one was. And when [redacted] called me a cheater I went "Oh yeah? You wanna see me cheat?" And teleported out of that fight 😂 Still got all my unlocks!
For the porridge quest, the greens refers to any herb or flower, you can make the porridge without the hyrule herbs and use the sundelions as a substitute. Also, I gave the golden horse pink hair and named it fluttershy.
I'd say track down as many sticky lizards as you can to make slip resistant exilirs so you can climb somewhat better in the rain which this game still has constantly making climbing which is a pretty large portion of the game little more than an exercise in futility.
Note about the divine beast helms, when you wear it, your sage spirit will wear the helmet their ancestors did (which is the zonai version of the same helm)
And supposedly when you change gear while doing so they match outfits so you'd be able to have them all be yiga clan (or otherwise have them be your runway models)
Not necessarily a quest, but anytime you find addison and help him with his signs, he gives you 20 rupees, a food item, and a random other thing (that for me is usually a sleepover ticket)
Another useful quest if you need money : there's a guy in kakariko that will give you 100 rupees for a picture of the hylian text on the little star sky islands. There's 13 of them according to the quest log.
I tried to see if anyone had mentioned it already (apologies if I missed it somewhere), but you don't have to feed the dogs meat! You can feed them any food, like 4-7 apples and it'll get them to lead you to a nearby treasure chest at any of the stables too :)
The bargainer statues are also a good way to get rupees. I have a ton of Poes, so I go buy the dark tunic from the bargainer, then re-sell it to a vendor for 600 rupees.
Small correction: for the porridge, you don't need hyrule herbs. The sundelion itself counts as a wild green (as does any other ingredient that, when cooked on it's own, would result in the fried wild greens meal), so all you really need is just the milk, rice, and sundelion, no need to use your hyrule herbs at all.
10:55 I was under the impression you had to defeat the Frost Gleeok just to be able to get the Golden Horse.😑 Thank you for letting me know about this.

Hateno has so many helpful quests! As other commentors have mentioned, there's the Mayoral Election and the Dye Shop guy. I highly recommend doing the school quests. They lead to you getting a garden where you can grow hearty radishes and endura carrots.
Also note that if you sit in on 2 of Symon's classes, you get to use the field by the school to grow a crop of your choice among the 10 or so they offer you, in a sidequest called "Uma's Garden"
There's not just a golden horse, there's a white horse the size of the "ganon horse" from Breath of the Wild. This can be found by heading to the place where the horse god could be found in that last game, and chatting with a couple dudes there.

The skeleton horses in the depths are mountable. Riding them with the Hobgoblin mask makes for some efficient exploration.
Use a REALLY weak bow to hit them with an arrow that has a giant brightbloom seed attached, free light wherever you go as long as you don't kill it.
@@PeterParker-df6ce could also just throw it at them
You mean _Bokoblin_ mask lol?
problem is, there aren't very many stal horses, and they're hard to find, and they're not in a lot of areas. But agree. Sometimes stal horses are great.
I had a hypothesis for a while that the stalhorse herds in the depths are underneath the herds of horses on the surface.
Leaving an offering at a cherry tree reveals all the caves in the area!!?!?
So many wild things in this game, love it

(jokes on her - I just put the fire in the balloon out with a splashfruit)
it tells you the order?
@Akshat Singhal yeah the murals in the walls tell you what order to find them in as they are next to each other beginning with the zonai Rauru and ends with the master sword I didn't know there was an order to it cuz I found the frog one before I found Impa
@@SuperDodger64 I can't XD I'm laughing so hard right now!

Sun pumpkins? I need to hear more about those!
It was a translation error. It’s still your house, Zelda just lives there too
I'd argue one of the most useful things to find in the early game isn't a side quest at all, but instead finding the numerous maps to key features of Hyrule that are present if you look for them.
I somehow missed the cherry blossom map and the stables map, so thank you for this lol
I keep accidentally deleting my reference pics ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thank you for this! Been trying to find stables by looking for a horse head shape on the map lol found a couple that way.
The stables all have big-ass permanent smoke plume you can see from a long way away.
Do not just do Zelda's golden horse quest and be done! Do all of the potential princess sightings quest and you'll get the froggy suit which makings you be 100% slip proof if ya wear all 3 pieces! This armor is my new best friend
The stable trotter quest is a must do as early as possible. It unlocks the ability to upgrade armor, which makes exploring so much easier.

I was so glad! Not ony did I not have to start a new horse and bond with it all over again, I had the white horse and had customized it's mane. Was really happy to have it and a few other horses back as well!
Mine didn't because I played botw on the wii U lol
I went to rito LAST 😭
@@gammaboy4568 It also has the easiest (and shortest) dungeon. Though the path UP TO the dungeon was a bit of a slog.

You dont actually need the hyrule herb
It works just fine if you use just the sundelion, rice, and milk
Yep. Rice and milk make the porridge, while any plant can add a modifying effect to it.
Can confirm. I thought that the greens part just referred to any edible plant and never included the hyrule herb.
Also, if you DO add the herbs, you get a completely different dish. Found that out the hard way.
similar to the tip that light roots are under shrines, the terrain itself is the same as the ground level but inverted - mountain on land are vallys in the depths - great for avoiding a unexpected sudden cliff face
I also want to suggest doing a certain questline that starts when you visit the old Yiga Clan hideout from BotW. It'll also unlock a new stamina-based ability for Link. It's really good.
Yeah, it's great in a pinch when you break all your weapons and need something.
this is vague but also specific, i appreicate it thaks
You don't have to specifically start from there. A different side questline (which you also probably want to do) directly intersects with one of the objectives of this questline and give hints to the rest of the objectives. You'll know when it intersects when some yiga members ambush you directly.
(you don't actually get the quest objectives, but hints all over the area points you to where you should go)
WHAT?! Oh son of a.....okay I'll look into it.......

Another one is the goddess statue in the Great Plateau. Completing the quest will give you a heart container or stamina depending on your choosing. Not very hard, just rather tedious but the reward is worth the time.

I stumbled on it just by exploring the depths, because I love the atmosphere down there so much that most of my playtime is below ground.

It's nice to give doggos your precious meat, but they like apples as well. 5 Apples are generally enough.
Honestly thanks for making this, I’ve been so overwhelmed and scatter brained on what to do and haven’t completed much because of it
Yeah, I got autobuild by accident, instead of the quest.
(And it unlocks the Great Fairys)
The side quests in Hateno are pretty funny and I highly recommend helping out at the Hateno school when you can.
Side note, you can do the Gerudo quest to unlock the Scimitar of the Seven, which has the same doubling effect, is a bit more powerful, and way more durable) but you have to attach it to a non-legendary weapon to repair it, which makes it slightly annoying.
i accidently did one of the stable quests for lucky clover and penn's reaction was amazing
I would really recommend doing the great fairies quest early on. They work as tutorial for different vehicles and knowing in advance what you'll need to upgrade your favourite armour helps with the farming

@@diego_villena I did try it and it didn't seem any faster at all idk if it even did anything

Glad I managed to flounder my way into the skydiving challenge by accident. The glide shirt is really amazing

Surprised you didn't mention the Great Fairy Quests. You don't just the babes this time, you gotta serenade them now. Or rather, find the musicians that will play the instruments they want to hear and help them out on their quests.
The Great Fairies are as useful to your quest as they are thicc.
But, like everything now, there is a "labor charge" included.
Just an advice: on one of mission you will require catching firefly, on stable south of hylian lake bettle sell them here and you can spam buy it by reset the day either by sleeping on stable or campfire this also usefull for stealth suit upgrade

the bond the divine helms mention is more than just flavor text, if you look at your sage’s spirits while wearing them, the respective sage will be wearing a mask as well

Ganon's horse from BOTW I named Ganonhorse, Zelda's white horse from BOTW is Zeldo, and the new golden horse (when I get around to it, after side-tracking for another 10 years of in-game stuff to do) is either gonna be Charlie or Wonka!
Flip a coin to decide
I vote for Lonk!

I had no idea Josha's continued quest led to Autobuild, however, since I have yet to follow through with any of the regional quest lines
I don't feel like I cheesed getting Autobuild, though.
You wanna see me cheat?" And teleported out of that fight 😂
Still got all my unlocks!
I don't know why everyone is climbing so much, between shield fuses and the ascend ability I've barely noticed the rain
Note about the divine beast helms, when you wear it, your sage spirit will wear the helmet their ancestors did (which is the zonai version of the same helm)

Pfft. I just borrowed a friend's pun and used the name Neighru, for the true bearer of... horsey wisdom.
Would think the school quests would be an important one to do with the extra reward you get for finishing them.
glide suit was pretty much the first thing i did as soon as i got home this afternoon and i dont regret it, it makes diving way more fun
I'd recommend hunting down all the geoglyphs asap, you only need the glider. The reward is good but you might get ahead of yourself in the story
Honest to God those fucked me up
I did this. In hindsight, I should've done the first 6, the temples, then the last 6 so as to hit all the story beats in the correct order
The master khoga quest is really good for more battery
I love the Great Fairy quests! Sooo much fun
I can't believe you didn't mention the "infiltrate the yiga clan" Quest! 😱
It's super fun, super long and has 2 super special rewards!!!
10:55 I was under the impression you had to defeat the Frost Gleeok just to be able to get the Golden Horse.😑 Thank you for letting me know about this.
If you get the entire wing suit and upgrade it twice you won't take fall damage with it on
I'm just coming back to Tears of the Kingdom after I got overwhelmed with options and lost my way. This vid is so darn handy! Thanks for making!
I named my golden horse Ilia, after the Twilight Princess character. I’ve named all my horses after female supporting characters from this series (except for the big horse- I named them “Absolute Unit”, or A. Unit for short)
Ah, a Metroid name I see. :P (For those who don't remember, Aurora Units were the GF's pseudo-Mother Brains in the Prime series.)
I named my horses Rhoam and Daphnes after the kings of Hyrule.
Hateno has so many helpful quests! As other commentors have mentioned, there's the Mayoral Election and the Dye Shop guy. I highly recommend doing the school quests. They lead to you getting a garden where you can grow hearty radishes and endura carrots.
the only must is building a well hung companion
👌
Do you recommend rocks or tree limbs for that? Lol
@@abw1317 boulders and a palm tree log
Also note that if you sit in on 2 of Symon's classes, you get to use the field by the school to grow a crop of your choice among the 10 or so they offer you, in a sidequest called "Uma's Garden"
Fun video but I have to say, it’s incredibly cringy the way you all are trying to add internet/meme jokes to your script.
You only need the sundelion, rice and milk. The Hyrule herb is not necessary for the porridge recipe.
There's not just a golden horse, there's a white horse the size of the "ganon horse" from Breath of the Wild. This can be found by heading to the place where the horse god could be found in that last game, and chatting with a couple dudes there.
Literally playing as I'm watching this and the sky tower cutscene at 0:45 synced up perfectly with my own game. I tell you, that was surreal, seeing the same scene twice at the same time (just with different equipment and setting)
I named my golden horse PonyBoy. From Outsiders
When I first saw the horse without knowing it was I sidequest, I thought about
"Stay Golden PonyBoy"
6:48 I LOVE THE FACT THAT THAT JOKE WAS MADE!!! IT HAPPENS TO ME ALL THE TIME AND I LOVE THAT SONG 🫶🏼🫶🏼💕💕💕
I came for information on quests, and I stayed for the fantastic narration and brilliant puns. Wonderful work.
