Note, this cable does *not* have the PTT wire to operate with a DigiRig or MobilinkD device (SPK-MIC-GND). It relies VOX to trigger transmit and those devices need the PTT signal.

Capacitors act like filters and the resistors may be dampening the milliwatts to simulate what a microphone outputs.
There is an amplifier built into our computer’s sound card for the microphone, so this is probably just adjusting the levels to match it without blowing out the electronics with a signal that was already amplified.

Thanks for showing what's inside. now I don't need to take mine apart. I want to modify it to trigger TX without using VOX. The vox doesn't work when the SQL is set to 0 which is less than ideal. Shorting the two ground sleeves on connector causes it to trigger PTT. I plan to wrap each with fine wire and use a serial cable to trigger a switch to connect them. I was really disappointed when I got this and discovered the vox didn't work with an open squelch.

Hi. Asking if this cable can be used for ip radio to analog Zello audio interface?

I am going to test myself. From what I have gathered, it does work for zello crosslink, cross repeater or, interoperability network (in simple words, to make Zello transmit and receive through an analog radio). It does take some time to adjust VOX and audio levels, but in theory this cable works. I will update

Cool. What does it do? And what is it?

Sends packets/data over audio, so you can send information through radios
