- Do you want to know how to connect your wired ps4 controller to android using an OTG adapter??? This OTG adapter allows you to connect a USB device to your phone, so if you want to play mouse and keyboard on your phone, you may need an OTG adapter, but this also allows you to connect ANY wired controller to your android phone, so you can play call of duty mobile or fortnite mobile.
One of the benefits of connecting to android with a wire is the input lag will be much less compared to a bluetooth connection. You won't have the delay when you move, so in fortnite mobile, your shots will be on target and will you move on your thumbstick, Not all games however will support a wire connection like call of duty mobile.

Can this be used to control drone flights and stuff like that? I have an older Parrot drone that I wanted to use my PS4 controller with it. I tried with bluetooth and it seems that some of the buttons won't map, so maybe it would work better with a OTG/USB cable? Thanks!

Can you use 2 controles with an usb dock? I saw an ugreen dock with two usb port, usb type c output and an hdmi output. Do you think I can play with 2 controls on my TV?

Hi, i just discovered that the original ps4 controller works with the otg-cable and the fake one doesn't. And they look alike. There's a vid somewhere on youtube about the minimal differences. So with the fake ones it might be hit or miss. That might be the answer to some working and some not with the otg-cable on usb-c, kinda strange that both work on the older samsung S5. Regards

Hey I'm using my Xbox One wired controller and for some reason is not to working I need help
My suggestion maybe very late (4 years lol), make sure your press the share button first follow by PS button simultaneously then hold for a few second, otherwise you will be doing the connecting function. Share + PS + hold = Pairing. I'm currently trying to connect the wired method but failing then realized that my smartphone (android) was not set for OTG, silly me right? Make sure your OTG setting is active.

Also if you have an Android 9 device it doesn't have controller support over Bluetooth. Get Android 10 to get controller support over Bluetooth.
Does it work if my device supports an OTG cable but not Android 10? I have android 9 but its OTG compatible so if i plug in my ds4 uding an otg capble with for example remote play will it work or just charge?

Hi, i think you need to map the buttons. Regards By the way what version of android are you on. I tried it on a A52 and an A52 s with android 13 and the phone doens't recognize the ps4 wired. I tried it on an older S5 plus with a micro usb socket and android 6 and it works. I noticed that with the A52's it enters charging mode but with the S5 it doesn't . Regards
I just connected my hori fighter stick mini to my pad and played mame SVC_Chaos_Plus but only the stick worked not the buttons I saw in the options in the emulator that I could map the buttons the problem is that I'm stupid and scared to destroy my new pad and I noticed that the wire is so heavy that it bent the charging connector so I'm a bit worried to do it again i need to make something that holds the wire so no weight is held by the charging port.. The only thing buttons do is closing apps and my pad didn't understand what I had connected but it did understand that it could control the pad, because it took me to a meny where it said "control by this device /control by connected device, but i couldt charge it it just chose by itself to be controlled by the connected device (joystick) which it can do, it can open apps close apps and choose stuff it had that little blue sqaure like in your video,, its only in game that the buttons only works as go back /close app. Can you help me out.. I don't have any jedi geek power

this is a good video but i’m struggling with fortnite mobile and a wired xbox one controller, for some reason it makes my left and right and up and down controls be connected to the triggers which is confusing because the left stick will let me move but the right stick won’t let me look around freely like it should; wondering if there’s workarounds to this ik i’m late but i’m looking everywhere and every videos is years old 😭😭

the only problem with wired connection is that it drains the phone battery WAY too fast because the controller is sucking all the battery power out of your phone..

That is what gyroscope is for =) just look for it on your basic settings and remember to invert horizontal gyroscope only. =)

You can't. The touchpad will work as a mouse. That's the only thing thats not working

Whuts your device? there is usually an option on top of the screen regarding the functionality of plug ins (i.e usb plug or otg) "Charge your device or something"

When connecting, it only lits and blinks indicating taht tha controller is charging. It only charges and I am pretty sure I have working data cables;
- one micro usb to Type A with an OTG Adapter.
- another with type C and micro usb on the other end.
Both these wires can connect the controller to my W10 PC without issues. But connecting it to my android, either of'em does not work.
When I check USB preferences under phone's Settings, it could not switch off Charging.
Under "Controlled by:", switching to Connected device gives the same error when u turn off charging.
I have no clue about what is going on now.
I'm in android 14.cables work fine in PC. Bluetooth connects but got few millisecs delayed response and stops working after 2 minutes of usage which why I'd like to connect this to cable. But in my amazement, i does not work.

Whoever it is not working for here is the fix *
Go to settings and in the search window , type OTG . After that Something related to Otg pops up just press allow otg support
Then you are good to go
