- In this video, I'll be describing and showing you guys how to use any of your corded game controllers on your Android Phone for use in whatever emulator you want.

I am not 100% sure if this technique works for App games as I've never tried, so if you wanna know about that, I'm sorry but this video isn't the right place.

@Harvey Barton your device doesn't support otg, or pretty much u need a device otg compatible to therefore use a off adapter

What type of USB wire is that? Does it need to be USB 2.0 or USB 3.0? I plugged my Xbox controller into my otg adapter from Samsung and it does work on Xbox. Works for my brothers PS4.

Thank you for this video. I was able to buy a otg cable along with a POWERA xbox one controller and I didn't need to do anything else. It works great with xbox cloud and I am able to play the majority of the games from that game collection. I never knew about this. Thank you so much. P.S. my wolverine controller did not work even though the lights on the controller came on when I plugged it into the otg cable. Again, my powerA xbox one controller did work just fine.

Unfortunately this no longer works properly (or reliably) on Android 13. My Logitech USB PC controller does not work at all on my Samsung Z flip 5 or my Samsung S8+ android tablet. It used to work on my older Samsung Android phones.
My PS3 wired fight stick kinda works on my z flip 5 (not on the front screen though) but my S8 tablet won't recognize any of my USB controllers. I'm back to hacking keyboards to make my own controllers like on early mame.
It's incredibly annoying that they keep updating Android in ways that ads nothing but breaks everything....

Android A02s I got a thing like otg. That's my question does it need to be that kind of otg? Just one end into phone and the other into control cord? I got one with hdmi and usb. Got a wired aftermarket controller for xbox 360 it's not Microsoft but it works and looks like a 360 controller. So does it need to be otg cable and not any other. Edit the center green ring blinks continuously.

As long as the game has controller support it should work yes. You may have to just configure it in the games settings to make it work.

@@handel136 otg and phone to pc file transfer are independent functions. All an otg does is allow you to connect full sized USB A cables to another device that has USB C, usb mini, or usb micro
