For me Sebby won. I’m on the west coast so his card choices worked better for me. Especially going the United route.
I know this may be a super long video. But a cool video similar to this would be your all time card strategy using all the rules. So obviously start with chase then when you’re locked up you move to Amex or citi Barclays etc.

I think I like Brian’s pick better. All of these cases and potentially re-occurring lockdowns have me bearish on the hotels and airlines cards, TBH.
I like Sebby's thought process more but Brian had stronger picks. Brian wins, but I am still on team Sebby. YMMV 😂

I like Brian’s set up more because I like to stay in Air BnBs and not many hotels!
I would prefer Sebby's set up. Sebby considers the cost & benefit of each card more thoroughly. Also, just like what he mentioned in the video, instead of spending thousands of dollars to earn points, I rather pay an annual fee and get positive value and perks from the cards I have. Moreover, if the set up no longer works for you, there's always a downgrade path to keep your credit history.
Love Sebby and Brian both but Brian’s picks align with my spending more so thats my choice. 🤪

Cool idea for a vid. I have to say Seb is much more analytical, and his line up would likely bring more value in the form of free nights, etc, which I greatly appreciate but my vote is Brian's, I really value the flexibility in the UR points given that my loyalty is mostly to my wallet and I've found we can use UR for some vacation rentals too outside the normal hotel chains. Great vid gents.

I like Brian’s approach
This is an awesome format!! I love this duel!! Only thing missing is the NFL Draft music LOL!! Sebby, you're my favorite, YOU were the one who influenced me to max out 5/24, Platinum 100K, and as I told you via IG that my girlfriend got the 125K, but in this duel, Brian is the winner. As much as I love hotel keeper cards, Brian got most of the core valuable cards, including the Chase Trifecta, CIP, and Freedom Student. CSR also has a good downgrade path, so the CIP is a good fallback for transferring points to partners. However, in the 2nd half, Brian's ego against United and some questionable picks like the Starbucks and Disney cards, Sebby captures the 2nd half. I especially LOVE how Sebby stuck the United Club card to Brian in the end. That was epic. But in the all important first half, Brian wins.
Hahaha...it was like watching the NHL draft. This was great. Hard to judge. Maybe Brian in the first half and Sebastian in the second.

Brian's setup is better for the ease and flexibility of redemption (cash back or travel through the Chase portal). Sebby's lineup will likely get him outsized value, but he's gotta work and research to maximize his value.
“You activated my trap card!” So hard to pick which hand won though but I see value in Sebby’s sock-drawer hotel varieties!
Hope to see this expanded to “Battle City” rules one day, i.e. opened up to the Amex and Citi decks too haha
Sebby wins, for the following reasons:
Sebby has better UR earning potential with CSP + CIC to buy Visa gift cards at Staples to effectively get 5x UR on everything, and access to Chase transfer partners. That is the set up and method I use to get UR. Unless Brian maxes out the 3x on advertising on CIP, in which case I would give UR earning to Brian.
Sebby has all of the hotel cards which I believe to be good value and grants low to mid tier status at Hyatt, Marriott, and IHG, and anniversary night certificates.
Sebby gets SW companion pass.
Sebby has United lounge access which somewhat offsets the lack of priority pass.
Brian has a better set up for international trips at airports with Priority Pass, some international Priority Pass lounges are really nice.
Suggestion: leave a shot of your cards picks side by side so it’s easier for viewer to pause and ponder the selections.

@@naughtyorgneiss i check Doctorofcredit.com for those Staples promotions and usually load up on visa gift cards via Ink Cash to get 5x UR up front, then spend those visa gift cards at grocery stores, eating out, gas, etc. I usually get 5x UR most purchases with some exception of subscriptions and some online purchases that don’t accept prepaid visa cards.
It’s not really that obvious but Sebby doesn’t just regurgitate things he reads up somewhere, he puts in time and sees things from different angles, even though it may not always be applicable for everyone. Not a knock to Brian but a lot of his credit card videos are summarizing things from Reddit, promos or terms and conditions (facts that are already out there), not really something of his own thoughts. Don’t get me wrong, I myself am still new to the credit card game and often need videos like Brian’s to get me through that beginner phase. I would say Brian’s are more like “pinned posts” to a forum whereas Sebby’s are more like.. just good posts lol
Ultimately I would watch Brian’s videos to research on new products I’m too busy (ahem lazy) to figure out on my own, but watch Sebby to see if there’s any cool unique ways to put those benefits into applicable aspects of my spend. So.... team Sebby ftw but great job on both sides!
Their picks match their personalities, sebby being cool and calculated, going for the optimal strategy, Brian picking the ink business preferred for the 💪🏻 value due to the AF and ditching United because he doesn’t like them. Sebby’s setup is more optimal, but Brian has more cards id want
This is the reason I watch Sebby. Figuring out the most value for everything instead of getting what sounds the best on paper.

I unsubed from anyone doing stimulus videos. I recognize the hussle to gets subs and generate money, but it also exposed how weak some RUclipsrs were to begin with in regards to credit card content. They bailed on the topic so I bailed on them.

The most ambitious collab Ive been asking for and never thought I'd get.. so I'm pretty torn on this because Brian picked the cards that more aligned with my spending that I'd get better use out of, BUT I would still have United cards on my roster because I live in a hub city

I would use Brains picks more (Points baby!) but I definitely prefer Sebby's methodic choices for downgrades and complete coverage.. Brain, I don't care how much you like paying for value, it ain't right! Samsung>Apple all day!
I like Sebby, but I would blindly pick Brian's pick I just would change the ink prefer for the ink cash. Brian got this point.
I'm getting back into credit cards because I am saving most of my cash for my startup. It's great to be back again and nerd out on perks. Credit card perks literally paid me thousands when I was a broke college student. Great for play money or investing!

I like Brian's a lot more. I think that it has a lot more flexibility with how you earn and redeem points. I think that Sebby's setup relies too much on hotel and airline points. I personally prefer cards that I can at least redeem cashback. Brians set up is covid friendly, and when travel does become available and you want to maximize points brians set up can use one of the sapphire cards for increased value for travel. Overall great video, I love this game I would love to see you play against credit shifu, or Dave Hanson.
Brian I think is the winner. With the trifecta of the CSR, Flex, and Chase Freedom Unlimited he gets a lot of value.
I’ve been flying United (internationally) for 30 years. (Northwest and PanAm before that.) I’ve had my share of delays and bad experiences. But if I’m gonna “cancel” any airlines for delays and bad experiences, I won’t be flying anywhere. You stick with 1 through the good AND THE BAD, and you reap the rewards/benefits later on. Short term....yeah, cheapest flights from different airlines may make sense. If you’re in it for the long game, find an airline and stick with it, especially if you travel a lot. Rack up the miles and hit the milestones, like 1 million miles or 2 million, or etc., then you’ll be treated like a king/queen. Best advice I can give you regarding airlines travel.
Yep! Also, many of those bad experiences are also driven by people (maybe a bad day, etc.) vs. corporate policy.

Ask Sebby won that, hands down! His cards touch all areas and pull great value-Business, Hotels for days, Flights for days, and the Chase Reward portal, not to mention status. Brian Jung’s picks weren’t bad at all, but he kind of pigeonholed himself. Great video collab. I’ve learned so much from both of you!

Brian got the extra exposure. Sebby got the instant money from Brian for doing the video . They both win.
This was really entertaining. Sebby seems to have let Brian go first so that he could use the tactics he used like letting him get the CSR first, and he knew that Brian would not get the CSP. And also Brian revealed too much with his disdain of United, leaving Sebby the option to take a United card and the CSP at any time.
Nice work guys! This was close, but I preferred Sebby's cards by the end.

This is a tough choice because I watch both channels a lot!! But I'm going to have to go woth Sebby. I like his methodical thinking and critical analysis. However I do like the Chase trifecta Brian went with.
Brian for me won.. however the AARP card i dont believe you can get anymore. So if he would of taken it , it would of been a grandfathered card.
