      What’s 5/24 day?

    • @Alvin_1914
      @Alvin_1914 3 года назад +5

      @@SamuelReyes-ub2nc Chase has a guideline where you can only be approved for a credit card if you have had less than 5 new credit card applications within the last 24 months. Hence the phrase "5/24". Sebby uploaded this video on May 24th, 5/24. So 5/24 day is the day that people tend to talk about their Chase Cards. Hopefully this helped.

    Yeah I agree with the Starbucks card, I always think it's pointless since I do not go to starbucks often and IMO they do not have the best coffee. I usually go there if it is the only option. Plus those Star rewards are not much, you can only redeem them for drinks and stuff and its alot of stars to get them redeem too.

    I just got the slate. I did the no interest in 15 months. It's savings was really good for me. I paid off my credit one and closed it. Plus my cap 1 that never reported. And a green dot secured that I have had for over 2 years. So slate worked for me. The rep said I can upgrade to freedom in 6 months or just get it as additional card from them. My scores are good. I just wanted to get out of debt soon.
    I don't want to be paying credit card bills when I am 80 on social security. Thanks sebby. Love your videos 😍.

    Awesome video, lots of super good information! A video just like this for ALL the Bank business cards would be awesome, and of course an American Express version would be super useful! Girlfriend and I are very much in the early game, so this year I’ve gotten the CSP, she got the Chase FU, the Ink Cash and she’s gonna get the CSP here in a few weeks! Aside from the Ink cards, I definitely think I want the Hyatt Card as my next personal, and maybe a Southwest one after. Thanks again Sebby!

    When speaking about the Freedom card @10:45 you say 5% back could really mean 10% or 7.5% back. I'm new to this but I'm assuming you mean you can potentially get more by transferring your points to your CSP/CSR and redeeming through the UR transfer partners?

  • @jako997
    @jako997 5 лет назад +1

    One thing you should probably mention is that for a lot of these csrds ( travel ones for example) you need to have great credit and a long history of credit. The sapphire preffered and Reserved can't be obtained by people(most I should say) that have started building credit for a couple years or just started building

    Loved the video. Haven't heard of the Hyatt Card ranked 2nd, so it was good to hear a little about it; will definitely research it now. The Chase Unlimited had been my good to right now ONLY because of the 3% promotion they had recently. Then I transfer points to my CSP card for better UR usage. I'd rank it a tad higher for the first year with its current promo.

    I had a Chase card (can't remember the name) since 1996. It was kept going because I had an annual autopay from it for a credit monitoring agency. Then I discontinued that sometime in the early/mid 2010's. Later, the card morphed into the Slate card. When I continued to ignore the card, the company eventually closed it in 2017.

    • @junito1008
      @junito1008 5 лет назад +1

      sisslims29 guess Because You have to put some kind of Deposit to open the account. Most of the time, They give you the same line of credit of your first deposit. If you send them $500, They will give you a $500 CC. But Capital One is a little different, They will give you a $200 CC and you for a deposit ranging from $29 to $200 depending of your credit...but if you make the first 5 payments on time, They increase your available credit right away. That’s why I have Capital One as the Best Secured card on the market.

    • @junito1008
      @junito1008 5 лет назад +1

      Spencer | Sweis12 I have it and it’s not that bad. It’s true that they have few fees but that’s one of the consequences for having bad credit. You just have to make sure to pay your balance every month so You avoid paying interest. The good thing about Credit One is that They report every month to the 3 credit bureaus and They increase your available fast. After you build your credit with those 4 CCs, you can apply for a new one and cancel the one that it’s not working for you.

    • @nicholasrivera9280

    CSR for sure is #1.
    I’m not that sure about SW Priority: many benefits you can get w/o the card (2 free checked bags, free cancellation of award booking, award booking same availability as cash booking), and the annual statement credit and points just slightly offset the annual fee. The companion pass point accumulation is a good reason, but feel that’s too far of a goal at 110K points for me who doesn’t fly domestic that much (and SW is pretty much not international) unless you get the business card too.
    Good points about the other cards.

    Geography and personal habits really can alter rankings of the top cards. Southwest doesn't fly out of our city so that card is of zero value. When we fly, our layovers are short so lounge access is rarely needed and our home airport doesn't have any, so the CSR is less valuable and I personally value an airline card higher to get free baggage. Having said that after a year I will consider upgrading my CSP to CSR to get the higher multipliers and the 1.5% boost. Great video - yes I would like to see more like this.

    Question kind of off topic. I have a player 2. And she has CSR and I have a venture. After we buy our first house in a couple months we will start getting as many sign up bonuses as possible. Is it best to each get each of the chase cards or only one of each card between us. So I’d have CSP and she has CSR etc. or maybe we get opposite cards then refer her to the cards I have and she refers me to her cards?

    Talking about systems, the Freedom Unlimited is definitely in the top 10, and boosts the 1x non-bonus on the Sapphires. The Chase sextet is a must-have under 5/24 (A flavor of Sapphire, the two Freedoms, an Ink, and any two of the airline/hotel co-brands). Using that, you can get at least 6 cards, pay gross annual fees between $300 ~ $750, and still pass 5/24 on the first go. IMO, the Sapphires are best as quarterbacks, not solo players...but, some people don't or can't juggle 6 cards.

    Now we just need a Starbucks Reserve, premium "coffee" metal card. $450 Annual fee, comes with $100 gift card signup bonus, and a free unicorn frappuccino, for each month that your balance exceeds $1,000 in spend. Free bathroom access without purchase.

    0:45 I didn't know there was a difference. I have a chase card. It's blue and it says chase.

    Liked the video. A systems based approach -- or even multi-system -- caters better to your audience, however.
