The director has a really gard time with direction. The sub is either a few miles away? Right under the destroyer of out to the rear of the ship. Lol. That sub gets around.
I'm no submarine expert, but don't depth charges destroy submarines when they get real close to them and explode? Or do they just throw the people around a bit and make some sparks
I think depth charge don't need to be real close to target sub when exploding to be effective. Water can not be compressed, so water cannot absorb pressure. So the pressure from explode will be passed onto the target sub. The surge in pressure will exceed the target sub's tolerance and cause the diving chamber to crack and leak water and malfunction. This will either force the sub out of water or sink.
It is actually a tactic that both sides of the enemy will use if they want to talk. Notice how all the mortars missed and not one directly hit the sub.
It is a warning which means get out of the water or I'll destroy you. Subs cannot communicate with the enemy destroyer so they have to surface in order to communicate.
Was a fun film. Not really all that realistic but... it was fun. The only thing I will cringe at is the part where water starts spurting in. Under those pressures, the second there is a structural weakness like that present in the hull, it will immediately collapse and sink. Also, the destroyer fired those rocket mortars a good distance away... and then caught up to them? We clearly the see the mortars detonating, and then a scene is shown where the destroyer is directly over the detonations lol. So either the rockets did a return trip, or that destroyer can go supersonic
If it was a enemy submarine that thing would have imploded a long time ago. But since its the americans/heros that submarine can withstand a nuclear bomb and a meteor impact at the same time with gum patching the holes. that goes for any hero movie.

0:10: Judging by the missile tubes, it’s a Udaloy-class destroyer.
hola ese sistema se llama RBU-6000
I'm no submarine expert, but don't depth charges destroy submarines when they get real close to them and explode? Or do they just throw the people around a bit and make some sparks
I think depth charge don't need to be real close to target sub when exploding to be effective. Water can not be compressed, so water cannot absorb pressure. So the pressure from explode will be passed onto the target sub. The surge in pressure will exceed the target sub's tolerance and cause the diving chamber to crack and leak water and malfunction. This will either force the sub out of water or sink.
Yeah that close and your fish food.
Also the mortars will get closer to sub if they don't surface. But the destroyer would be able to easily take out sub.
0:08 Udaloy-class destroyer
One of my fav movie from Jerald
The movie is hunter killer
Ah yes.
The russian krivak frigate Class..
Very feared, even has a massive 4 tube torpedo launcher with an elevator
wtf that's not Kirov
alpbin it is...
Based off its aircraft compliment, and its weaponry, IT SHOULD BE A KIROV
Change my mind
alpbin wait a minute...
WRONG SHIP
@@SpheroJr3289 this is a Kara class
@@PyromaN93 oh.
If RFS Yevchenko could do this, what would Poseidon do? Russia is really blessed in weaponry. I wonder the dimensions they get these knowledge from
Amazing
That Russian captain is the enemy of john wick.
This is cool and all but did you know that Geico can save you 15% or more on car Insurance
LoL 😂
THATS A WAR SHIP ...chills
Those mortars popped right next to that sub. It is toast.
It is Real when you were in Navy Submarine’s
If it was a enemy submarine that thing would have imploded a long time ago. But since its the americans/heros that submarine can withstand a nuclear bomb and a meteor impact at the same time with gum patching the holes. that goes for any hero movie.
Yeah in American movie
What incredible accuracy, fire 15 rockets and every single one manages to explode right next to the sub. Thats Jerry Miculuk good.
In anti sub warfare u never need a bomb to hit the sub , the waves sue to explosion are powerful into rip a sub
This action sequence was so awesome, I got a woody. :-)
When you says its like a computer game
