- These are all invoice screens shown at the end of a play through in Star Fox 64. The screen you get depends on your score. The score is multiplied by 64 to equal the amount of money obtained.
When I originally played this I thought this was a bill for damage repair through out the galaxy. Now I realized it's the star fox team paycheck.
Omg it's not just me! I just learned TODAY that I was getting paid in this screen!
Yep. Most of it goes towards repaying Fox's father's debt, the rest goes to the rest of the team to do with what they please.
KEVIN! YOU SPENT OVER 73 THOUSAND ON ROOM SERVICE?!
No It's "KEVIN! YOU SPENT $967 ON ROOM SERVICE?!"
@@leonardpayne8795in this case it’s 73 thousand because that’s how much was on the bill in this video
73 THOUSAND?! GOOD LORD THAT'S A LOT OF MONEY!!
...How 'bout I give you 2 thousand and I let you use the White House as a timeshare?
I like how star fox committed fraud by counting the random shit on the warp section as Andross's army.
Also, if you get more than one enemy in your charge blast, it'll give you bonus enemies.
And some asteroids. And some rocks on Solar.
Not yo mention blowing up ancient ruins on Aquas and charging for the privellage.
True. But the cornerians would be dead or imprisoned if they didn’t save the day. So they kinda have to pay whatever StarFox asks for
@@MrRhino6699 I heard both as a joke and as a theory that General Pepper probably tried to make that offer to Star Fox about joining the Cornerian Army, just to get away from paying them.
Typical mercenaries
I originally thought he was saying, "This is one steep hill! But it's worth it." Figured he was referencing the Star Fox pilots still running like in the credits, only to stumble upon an incline that stops them in their tracks.
Star fox's charging rate is sp$ 64 per enemy units destroyed apparently.
Yeah that tracks
Venomerian Lives arent worth more.
Always got the "whaat"
Whaat?
Yep. Only a few times I got the "steep bill" one. Never knew there was a blank one.
i never bothered to check till now. but its $64 per hit. ha ha, 64 as in n64, how clever :\
Whaaaat?!
And the score of the Star fox zero how works?
no wonder regular venomian ships suck
the budget is just 64 dollars
@@franciscolevy4625It's 640 sp$ per HIT because "64" and "0"
@@hackerman203inflations been real rough on the lylat system
I'm the project lead of the Starfox 64 decompilation project. Did you know you can move the items on that bill with the 4th controller? Just a little thing we discovered inside the game's code that nobody knows about :)
Whaaat?
@@Shooter-The-Emu-With-A-Gun exactly
Invoicing for units destroyed is a terrible way to pay mercs. If I were Fox, I’d count every barn as a turret
They kinda do, destroying stuff like rocks and asteroids counts towards a “Venomian unit” apparently
Whaaaat
This is one STEEP BILL, but it's worth it.

This is one _steep_ bill... but *it's worth it.*
Bill?
I can't believe it!
The hatches are open
Fox, that’s one of ours!
What if you went through the game destroying nothing, but only the bosses to advance to the next level? That would be quiet a feat of it's own because it would be hard to survive!
you wouldnt be able to rescue youre allies either
@@yagamerboichucc6120 Still worth it
@@bijan2 very much so
i don't understand why, i've beaten this game so many times, even getting all the medals on expert mode, but somehow this invoice screen isn't in my memory of the game
It’s right after the rank screen
I'm gonna assume after beating the game you either reset or turn the system off before pressing A to confirm your rank at the ranking screen. This screen is after the ranking screen which is after the credits. That's one explanation I can think of. The game saves your stuff anyway way before this screen shows up.
Another explanation is that this screen isn't really that important and you forgot about it. (After pressing A on this screen the game goes back to the Star Fox 64 intro.)
In any case doesn't matter. Congratulations on getting every medal on Expert mode! That's not easy to do 👍

Wait until he finds out HOW he spent over 64k on the mercenary budget...
In my later years, I would easily break $100k on the bill.
😳Whaaaaaat?!
I heard somewhere that if you get a certain score, you hear Pepper choke. Or is that a myth?
I remember hearing this too and was wondering if this vid would show it. Probably a rumor haha
Probably just a myth. There's a Tool-Assisted Speedrun that got the highest possible score (4191 Hits) and the invoice still just gets a _Whaat?_
The uncompressed audio for every voice line in the game leaked a while back, if you want to pick through for any hidden lines.
Can you get the Japanese version?
For putting their life on the line they only get that much money???….
I mean, we don't know how much value does the Lylat System's currency has. Much less now that we're far away from the original point of comparison (back in 1977, probably earlier, because they come up with this ideas from development).
Also, did the devs thought about this currency in terms of yens or dollars? We don't know, all we know is that for each unit Star Fox shot down they're charging "sp$ 64"
@@danielmunoz1275you really think that the pre-production on Starfox 64 was happening 8 years before the original NES was released?
Damn, that's some foresight.
@@link670 Hahahaha, sorry I didn't notice. typing mistake, it's supposed to be 1997. But now that you brought it up, Star Fox 64 inherited many ideas that were going to be for Star Fox 2. So the idea for Star Fox currency could've come up waaay back in Star Fox 2's development.
They're not just dollars ($), they're space dollars (sp$)
I'm assuming that's what they're called anyways, but officially there's no name

Andross Coin.
I mean he may have been an insane supervillain, but damn could he sling some crypto
