Great video man, only suggestion I have is that if you don't want to use the double sided tape you can use Velcro. I used Velcro and it holds very well.

I don't think there's footrest in Focus equipped with Auto Transmission too...or at least in the US-Spec Focus (We've always gotten water-down version in any Global model).

Thanks! I'll switch to Velcro too if the original d-tape on this aftermarket footrest couldn't take my abuse. :)
Feel free to share my videos and your ideas!

Why my new car 2021 model manual transmission doesn't have foot rest ? It's a Toyota

Mostly because of Cost and Space in that firewall area. You can still tape something there to avoid staining the carpet when your left foot is not actively engaging the clutch pedal.

Omg it's a peddle, stick it on. your making it out to be a complicated surgery. stick it on already

If you take it off, don't pull on it. Take a sharp knife and kind of cut the space between the tape and the carpet to keep from pulling all the fibers out.

I want to remove the dead pedal not add to it. I hate dead pedals. I want more room for my foot.

Ford Focus doesn't come with dead pedal in stock, just bare carpet in that area.

I'm sorry but this video is terrible. It is much better to buy a small package of 3m velcro and only use the rough side. Cut it into strips and place around perimeter of back of dead pedal and then stick the velcro right to the carpet. Then you can remove it any time you want and you can also clean it easily.

...and that dead pedal is $7 on ebay now. It is terribly cheap and the treads will push in. the metal is very flexible. If you want a good deal on a real one get the Steeda aluminum piece.
