The underbelly of this vehicle is one of the most impressive off the grid systems I have ever seen. It really should be the template and standard of all mobile home systems. It's safety first approach is the thing most tiny home builders fail at.
I was in awe as well
"He underbelly"? wtf?!

Agreed i hope another video just to break down the underbelly ot this bus so we can use the same setup
I had the privilege to actually serve this family at a restaurant in AZ. Super friendly and super down to Earth family. Wish them the best in everything.
Awe thanks 😊
@That Guy its up to the siblings; the family. I bet they are fine.
@That Guy I get where your idea comes from. My parents were going to sell our house. we were tempted to live in a camper as we built our new house. just the thought of living in a bus seems really cool to me. maybe not 6 people. :)
@@broccolibus6913 Hey, thanks for doing the tour! Who have you found insurance through? Do you know how much it is? (Annual miles estimate...? Comp & collision vs liability only? Which state insurance is based out of?) I've heard people mention Progressive, but just talked with them yesterday to get an estate and they said they "don't insure bus conversions" (school or transit bus).
Saw "The General" mentioned online, but Idk if they are legit/give good coverage/roadside, etc. Your experiences would be helpful 😊
@That Guy hell they got 4 kids already, they probably don't want any more "privacy"
This is the first time where it's all about the kids. Most parents who have made the decision to make this move, then put the kids in coffin like bunks. You not only gave them the back end of the bus with more room, you are also the only parents who have actual appropriate safety seats for everyone. Very impressive with your build! Great Job!!👍
tbh I don't think kids care for spacious interiors, large rooms, etc.. I remember when I was the age of those kids me and my friend used to build small bases out of scrap wood I could find and it wasn't enough to even comfortably sleep in, or stand, yet it was fun.
@@BankruptGreek yeah to play in, not to grow up in
@@lynettebr look at our evolutionary path, I don't think human kids were meant to have even medium sized rooms I doubt private rooms is even needed for us to grow up properly, we are meant to spend most of our waking time standing, and probably a big portion of that would be outside.
The seats were approved when in the original vehicle but now it’s a coin toss. Then add in all of those potted plants on the dash and loose items in an accident you have so many projectiles 😱😱
Yeah, the kids get the cat litter box and the engine access hatch. They must be over the moon.
this is really impressive, but I could not imagine living with that little privacy and that amount of people
Big kids right. Yet if we are realistis many families over the yeats have lived in 1 room shacks and shot gun houses with as many as 10 kids. Many poor families are familiar with this. I just can't imagine husband and wife time with the kids 2 feet away. Yet I guess poor families are familiar with that as well. Its just I cant invision how its done.
@@NatJac-gg3mv Not to mention the parent's room is between the kid's room and the bathroom and generally everywhere else on the bus, including the door to get outside. so if the parent's door is closed, holy shit that's annoying. the kids have to stick strictly to the parent's sleep schedule and hope they don't have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. and what about when those kids get older huh? oh boy. Why do I have the feeling these parents are control freaks? Those poor kids.
@@Subreon ...lol
I grew up in a family of 6. We lived in a decently large house, and it often was still not enough room most of the time. I would not have survived in a bus like that. Lmao.
It isn't so much the space that would bother me, but the poor design of having the parent's room be a pass-through area. I could never live with that.
Everybody is blown away by this bus build, I am like, "how can he sit cross legged like that" ?
I was wondering when someone would notice! Check out offgridskoolie's videos that I'm in, you'll see what I mean.
@@AaronBockelie you awesome sir nice bus I hope the family ok
Justan American agreed on the amazing build, but being a month post knee replacement that seating position made me cringe.
Right on! Was wondering the same thing.

This is one of the coolest bus conversions I’ve seen.
Thanks :)
That Nissan Leaf battery system is absolutely incredible. Puts 99% of RVs to shame 😂
The electrical and plumbing / filtration systems on this unit are among the most sophisticated for a school bus conversion anywhere on Tiny Home Tours. Wow! I learned a lot.
Incredible build. I clicked on the video wondering how he ever moved the bus with a leaf setup lol. Amazingly clean underneath, much respect

The idea of your whole family riding in front while driving is amazing! I really love the cockpit setup.
Thanks it was really important that they had a safe space to ride and strapped into car seat.
@@broccolibus6913 that’s one thing you don’t usually see on these bus conversions, but with young kids, I’m very strict about car seat safety, etc. Love the bus!
@@broccolibus6913 How did you solve shielding the seating area if a crash occurs and everything is flying forward? I would guess it takes a lot of reinforcement?
Nice. This is the first time I’ve seen where the parents didn’t take up a big space for themselves as a bedroom and leave their kids in super cramped cubbies.
Also, almost every tour I’ve seen is “we needed a big kitchen. We just love to cook” and the kitchen will take up 1/3 of the bus. It seems unnecessary (I think). Although I do feel this kitchen would be too small for me, it’s impressive that you’ve made it work with the size of your family.
Thanks it was really important for the kids to have full twin size beds. Our oldest is 12 now and she is already 5ft 8 tall. We also have 6 deep drawers for their clothes and things. We tried hanging closet space but changed to this system which works great for them.
I use to work professionally as a chef and would cater in tiny spaces guess that was good prep for this lifestyle. Luckily the slide out countertop really adds a lot of working space. We can fit 3 people in there if need be.
@@celbel9425 The kitchen is small because of the seats in front! At first I was confused on why the home seemed a bit cramped for a long bus, compared to other buses. However in seeing how fantastic the seating area is at the front where they have minivan seats, it makes perfect sense.
In ALL other vans, the parents themselves put in seatbelts for the children on the couches, which is HOPEFULLY perfectly secure.
@Craig So do I! I think it's really good to have minivan seats for the *whole* family up front. That's the first time I've seen that.
I am in awe! This is, without a doubt, the most amazing conversion I’ve ever seen. This will sound strange to many because I’m a single 59 year old woman and the most amazing part of this build, to me, is the electrical part. My brother is a master electrician and we worked together for years. You have done an amazing job with your electrical system. The care you took in the safety of your family is superb. My brother is a perfectionist and everything not only has to work perfectly but it has to look perfect too. Yours is so neat and tidy. Gorgeous build.
His “ life support systems” much safer, brighter and organised then my whole entire life ...
Insanely impressive, and even more impressive is how he was sitting at 14:30. lol
This is the best build I have ever seen. The layout is perfect. I like the fact that you don’t make your children sleep on the couch while you have a bedroom. I like your “bedroom” though. It is private when you need it to be. I never understood why people couldn’t build a bus or whatever RV, with enough electrical power. This is the first one I have seen where you can run an AC unit while having other appliances going. It is worth the money to me, to have power when I need it. The kitchen is perfect. I agree with an other comment that most kitchens are to big for the space. You make it work. That is all it matters. This is the best bus, by far, that have seen. Safe travels.
Thank you. We could have more space to play with if we opted out of having proper seating upfront.
Safety measures such as appliances that are bolted down or metal framed walls to catch anything that could fly in an accident kinda sculpted our layout.
We built our bus electrical to meet our needs from the cloudy Seattle area and also the heat of the south with ac needs.
Liberty Lost mini split, I’m guessing 2 units, lots of panels and lithium batteries = 24 x 7 air conditioning only way to do it without using plug in or generator
@@leoblumhagen644 Compressor with two heads, 18k BTU total.
Aaron Bockelie 👍 that was my 2nd thought, should be standard on all class As. I’m going to have to watch the vid again where is the compressor, is it in the basement?
I did go back a d watch again, great idea to have it mounted in the engine bay, you have the room back there
I love that they gave the kids the back part of the bus where the parents usually are. With that many kids they definitely need more space. They have the best room.
This is the most phenomenal kids room I've seen on a skoolie. I've seen too many where the kids are just chucked in a narrow corner. I've even seen one where the kid was sleeping on the bathtub. You guys have really prioritized your kids.

I have 4 kids and this is the ONLY conversion I’ve seen for a family like mine!! This is a very impressive conversion!!! I absolutely LOVE it!!! We’d definitely need a tv for the kids and for the adults. Brilliant!!!
Hello Rebecca, hope you don't mind us being friends okay 🌹
The layout of this build is the best by far! I haven’t come across one that look’s like an apartment in the back and vehicle in the front. I absolutely love where the living room is and everything after! I’ve seen has a completely open concept which I know is best for most but this really gives the impression that it’s an apartment and more than just a converted bus. I love all thing’s Timy
This family did a great job converting their bus. I especially love that they were able to create a private space for the adults and the kids. So many parents of larger families living bus life just completely disregard their children’s need for privacy. And the parents were able to create a really nice space for themselves.
_Legend says that there's nuclear launch button somewhere inside the bus and an anti aircraft missiles launcher_

I have been watching these videos for RV conversions for about 4 complete years or so now, and your family’s bus is one of the best that I have seen. You can tell that you spent the time to do everything right and clean. That just makes it easier to troubleshoot problems if you happen to have them! I’m really impressed!
This is a very impressive bus project. It is clear that you have tried to incorporate every necessity and luxury item that you deem important for your family. From the outside it looks complex and complicate in its layout but, once in place, it seems highly efficient. Personally, I can't imagine putting this together to support 6 full-time residents but you seem to have done it. Good job!
I'm betting every technology centered person watching this video had a religious experience when he started opening those panels. I know I sure did. Dude you could teach SpaceX a thing or two! Absolutely breathtaking!
No joke! Over my head and I’m just completely amazed.
This is now my fave bus conversions ever, that I've seen on youtube.
Thanks 😊
I find it sweet the Parents Sacrificed a private room to optimize a decent Bedroom for the 4 kids.
Actually, WE have to thank Aaron for sharing his knowledge, skills, experience and vision of this whole thing. He and his family (which, sadly, we don't hear from... but I respect this choice) have not only chosen a way of living : they've created it, and it clearly shows in the flock of pictures we can see along those 20 minutes.
If there's one exemple to keep in mind about remote/van/off-grid/RVing (whatever you want to name it)... this is IT !
Thank you, it was such a ride. From very deep inside, thank you.
Your new career should be designing ..systems, ease of access, functionality..bravo sir this is my dream
This conversion is absolutely out of this world!!
I'M SO PROUD OF THIS FAMILY ! THEY'RE REALLY ORGANIZED AND EVERYTHING WAS PLANED OUT VERY WELL. I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BEAUTIFUL HOME, WHICH YOU REALLY CAN'T TELL IT'S A BUS AMAZING..😊😊😊
First off I have to say that this build is like a real home. It has all the separation from kitchen, bedrooms, the place where everyone sits when bus is in motion. Then there's the solar battery and wiring for the bus that is truly something I have not seen before in any build/conversion. The way he has made it all about safety first with every bit of wiring covered so that they're not hanging loose in the undercarriage of the bus. This whole build is fantastic especially for a big family.
They have thought about the children first making sure their needs are met with the air con in their room as well as their own tv. I say bravo to this family for such a wonderful bus conversion.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Idk what to be more impressed with... the set up, the power house, or how flexible this guy is... look how comfortable he is squatting and crossing his legs. 😳😳😳😅😅😅😂😂😂 I bet he's awesome at yoga, bruh... he probably kills it.
I can do that except you the guy that always use chair or spoon and knife to eat
I know nothing about the electric or other stuff, but it sure looks professionally installed...neat. Good Look.
I get more and more excited when I see videos like this. The Pandemic has opened my eyes more to what is REALLY IMPORTANT. It is just my husband and I and we have family and friends spread out across the US. I really feel like this is a move to consider. Thank you so much for showing the details of what you created for yourself and your family.
This is amazing! By far the most efficient conversion I've ever seen! Beautiful family and gorgeous home!!!
There is nothing this man missed!
Top notch planning and executed to perfection!
This video would have been more appealing if he showed us how he activates the deuterium core reactor and warp drives. So I'm only gonna give it a 9/10. 😁
Well he did use to work for a nuclear place 😆
@@broccolibus6913 LOL That explains a lot! That feature for a wide-area power disconnect button amongst that well-organised cabling practically revealed his background knowledge. I never watch the parts under these buses. But this is pristine!! And you don’t make your babies sleep in shoe boxes, truly much respect!!
I remember when you first picked the bus up and spoke of your plans and I thought it was a very ambitious plan. This is an amazing build!
This is one of the better video tours I've witnessed without feeling seasick from quick (and sometimes pointless) camera angles. I really enjoyed this and it's probably the most functional, fit for purpose bus, I've viewed. Stay safe everyone.
I gotta say, I am truly impressed with your bus, of course on YT there are many bus conversions and some have some things which I like a lot, but with this one, I watched it twice and couldn't find a "con" everything was "pro". I thank you for letting us into ur beautiful home.
What an incredible family experience you are giving your kids. Also, this lifestyle is an awesome home education experience for your kiddos. Be safe and enjoy.
They are the luckiest kids..to have parents who lovingly worked so hard to give them such an interesting life and time.
Lynette Patton I had quite the opposite thought. When I was a kid, having my own space was a huge benefit even if it was just a bedroom. I could get away from parents/siblings and just be alone. These kids are shoved into a small space bedroom wise above a bus engine and next to a washer and dryer. I feel like I would absolutely hate this especially as I got older.
I can see both view points and totally respect where you are coming from.
The bunks are large twin size and they can fully sit up in them but that didn't translate well on the video.
The wall section that the black back table folds out from blocks the views of each other when they are tucked in bed.
Even when we had a large house with enough rooms they wanted to share bedrooms.
We eventually plan on finding some land to buy when we figure out what state we like in the future.
We are enjoying this time for now being able to travel and see things. The ever changing outdoors offer a lot of space when they need a break. They sit and enjoy the sun while painting or reading.
Currently we are parked on a 250 acre farm in Oregon and they are playing in a little creek and planting gardens.
Last Friday they were around our other bus friends in AZ with kids playing and having campfires. Life is more about adventures than living in a box. For now this works. We are hunkered down quaratining.

I think the air gap between his buses outdoor roof and the top covered parking, help keep his bus cool.
Anyways, hope you guys stay safe and hunker down!
Thanks for showing many amazing practical solutions. i will remember them and will consider to use them while i will need it. All the BEST! for you all of six.
I appreciate his explanation at the end; very considerate, yet practical.

This is the first conversion I've seen that has seats for everyone to ride up front and belted. I'm always wondering where the kiddos sit while the vehicle is moving. Yay! Safe and enjoyable journeys to your family.
Really enjoyed this..I normally wouldn't understand all the mechanics and battery stuff but he explained so well that I was actually enjoying that part of his tour..Not sure if I could live in the a bus with those many people but you guys seem to be making it work..I wish u your family the very best..Safe travels

Bathroom/sink/toilet separation is how it’s also done in Japan. It felt very natural to me seeing that in the video.
