Amazon DA here, on my way back from Springfield I hopped on I90 and saw this, luckily I was going back to Erie so I missed all the traffic but it was heart breaking seeing all those vehicles in the median and so many people just stranded in the snow in there cars. Stay safe yall 🙏🏽

Large fleet. Kinda like sewing swift doing stupid stuff. There's just a lot of them. Same reason why you never see my company in these videos. There's only 20 trucks 😂

I used to live in Western New York- now in Eastern Maryland- people ask me all the time, what am I afraid of, I should be used to this? My response is yeah, I am- that is why I stay off the roads
We had as much or more snow in Ontario's highway 11 between Orillia and Huntsville, no accidents because we slow down under these conditions and snow tires help too

I've been a commercial driver for going on 40 years. The best place to be when this inclement weather is going on is parked! No load that I transport is worth getting into an accident or being stuck.
Especially when you think all those numbnuts if they where at a fueling station or at least not plugging up the highway, when the snow abates, the highway crews could quickly and efficiently open up the roads again.
Im a truck driver as well... my question to the other drivers... what in the af are you doing driving in this.. ??? You should be parked .. no excuse for any of it
@@ew4932 Probably less than 3% and if an essential hospital worker such as a doctor was need a snowmobile or snowcat could pick up and transport said essential workers. Places like hospitals should have contingencies worked out in advance for such events anyway.

This happens 1-2 times a week on I-80 in Wyoming, The news never says a thing about it, even though I-80 through Wymoning is one of the heaviest trucking lanes in the USA.
No, no, no, no, no. Everyone who knows how to drive in ice and snow also knows damn well that it wasn't "Lake Effect Squall..." that causes multivehicle pileups. It's stupid drivers.
The melted snow will freeze and creates spots of so called black ice, only when you drive slow and not hit the brakes you can drive/slide straight over it. But because drivers in front of you suddenly hit the brakes you can do nothing but slide as your brakes abs is trying to help you but you are not stopping because it is too slippery and you (and almost all i can see ) drive too fast to do anything. So adapt your speed and leave a big gap in front of you and try not to hit the brakes and stay focussed. With a white out snow best find a parking spot cause you will not see what happens in front of you.

Damn wrecks after pileups I watched one where a woman hung onto her sliding car ON A HIGHWAY AND IF GUY DIDNT GRAB HER WHEN HE DID ( A HUGE DUMPTRUCK BARRELED WHERE SHE STOOD AND CRUSHED EVERYTHING IN ITS PATH.. PEOPLE ARE BRAINLESS!!! ANYONE WITH ANY SENSE GETS AWAY FROM PILEUPS. F THE CAR
Thats a lot of trucks. Ive never seen a highway with so many trucks and so few cars. Truck drivers should know how to drive as they actually do it for a living. Probably going to fast playing on their phones and get caught off guard. they shouldnt be so out of control to jackknife and block the entire road for everyone else to suffer.

Trucking companies all over the USA have been going bankrupt one after another because their drivers are too dumb to slow down and increase following distance in fog, rain and snow. And the trucking companies' management places too much pressure on the drivers to rush, rush, rush rather than on safety.
Sitting in your car for hours, possibly 10's of hours, sucks. Sitting in your car for that long knowing it's because of likely ONE persons laziness and incompetence, is aggravating.
Many of these trucks are transporting goods that we all need. Not referring to your comment, but everyone is saying to stay off the road, yet, go into a business and alot of shelves are pretty empty and people are complaining to staff that they need to order more items lol.
A semi driver too lazy to chain up crashes and blocks hundreds of people for hours, no way. Almost every winter pile up has one thing in common other than road conditions, Semi trucks with drivers too lazy or ignorant to prepare for conditions. Must not be too much of a penalty for stranding all those people in potentially deadly conditions, because it happens every single year. Yes, I'm jaded on this topic!

people keep faulting the truckers and bosses.. but you notice near the front is a big white truck in a ditch. Wouldn't be surprised if that was the person who lost it and the rest were trying to avoid. There are a lot of passenger cars in that line i guess they're bad people too.
You've never heard the saying " the slowest truck on the road is still faster than the one stuck in the ditch or in this example jacknifed in a snowbank.

The issue is too many people think it won't happen to me and it's too late when it does.
This happens on 90. In the winter of 77 we had a big storm and the Mayor called for people with snowmobiles to rescue everyone.
