I argued with my boss a dozen times about staying home in conditions like this. I stayed home whether he liked it or not. I told him I knew how to drive in bad conditions, it was the other drivers that worried me. Case closed.
True. Better to lose your piss ant job than your life...
My hats off to you.
Or to be person forced to go to work and dies on the way so the company get sued but she's dead.
Agree!
i dont think it has to do so much with the weather as it has to do with dumn azz people
The fact that people are STILL speeding like it isn’t snowing and black ice on the roads is flabbergasting SMH
I thought the same things. Some of these folks were flying as though nothing was going on.
IK!!!!!!!!!
You're right on the mark T Raw!
After watching this my flabber had never been so gasted.
That one cautious semi truck driver (before the idiot bus driver) should be rewarded!
Alot of folks hate truckers but this video is proof that we don't think twice about taking our rig off the road to avoid killing people. That's what makes our job so damn dangerous everything is fine and dandy one minute then all of a sudden you need to make a split second decision to put your life in jeopardy to avoid killing others. Keep on trucking and be safe out there.
Those were few of the smart drivers
Trucks could stop and the cars couldnt. Go figure.
Or.....or maybe you could try slowing your stupid ass down so you don't have hero it up by "taking your rig off the road"
Fucking moron
@@lawsonfan5797 You are driving about 45 in snowy weather and all of a sudden ahead it becomes apparent that the car in front of you is in fact not moving and you have a very small window to react. That's what he's talking about. No matter how fast you are going. Here let me go get a step storm and help you down off your high horse.
@@@zanepotter3659 That won't be a problem if you're paying attention and looking far enough ahead. It's called driving for the conditions. You see, then you won't have to be in a position to "take our rig off the road" because you will have time to slow down. When you see footage of massive pileups, it's because drivers refuse to slow down, they wanna blast down the road showing everybody how they "ain't scared" to drive in the snow. I won't say there will never be a situation where you might not be able to avoid hitting something but what I saw on this vid and in the 28 yrs I have been doing this job, is that the majority of these types of incidents could be avoided.
And don't you fret, I can get on and off my high horse just fine.
No step storm needed........
3:33 Besides the 2x truckers, the white SUV on the right was probably the smartest passenger vehicle driver. They pulled ALL THE WAY to the right avoiding any collision with other vehicles 👏👏👏👍👍
I can't believe how FAST they are all going
EXACTLY!!!
Then you must live in cave. Driving too fast for the conditions and following too close is the rule on most highways. Add to that not paying close attention to what the hell you are doing, are all contributing factors to these pileups. That is not to say whiteouts and slick road areas will alone not cause a crash, but I do a hell of a lot of driving on freeways every day. People drive like assholes.
@@dougmacqueen1679 live in a cave? Really? You do know people live in places that they’ve probably never seen these types of weather. I do agree that people drive like assholes, but I still scratch my head to those who drive fast as hell on icy conditions, it’s plainly idiotic.
@@commanderhasbulla3732 No I didn't know that. Thanks for educating me.
Yep. You can rate persons level of intelligence by how they drive. No one drives the speed limit anymore. Follow too close. Always have to get in front of you. I think when buying a used car from someone, ask them how they drive
Here's a little tip: In winter driving conditions like this, if you find yourself passing trucks, you're probably going too fast for conditions.
good tip!
That's what I'm seeing here.
Dumbasses always try to outrun the semi's when they should be the ones leading because they are heavier (better traction) and they can see the road ahead x10 times better in a semi. Ill get people pass me all the time just to slow down 2miles in front of me once the weather gets bad again and I will end up going past them.. I blow the air horn at them all the time to let them know that was a dickhead move.
Yes stay in the truckers tracks ...and live longer.
Yes!
Slow down n learn from this footage.
Who else breathed a sigh of relief at 3:39 when the semi managed to avoid everyone and slid off into the field?
Excellent luck or skill.
2 of them did, one right after the other.
They didn't slide off. They steered off to avoid killing someone. Even at their own peril. Truckers code.
@@bigdaddeo76 Does the "trucker's code" also include driving way too fast for the conditions?
@@JohnJ-fj2xe Of course not. But at least they chose to go off in the ditch rather than their mistake costing someone else their life.

they need to slow down the most... And they have CBs.. that one Semi was driving much slower.. maybe he heard that there was a pileup and he had time to slow down. .Folks need to reallllly pay more attention.. I would rather drive 10 miles and be able to stop than die in a pileup.!
@@outoftheforest7652 No they don't. CB's are a relic. They use cell phones and GPS/NAV just like all the 4-wheelers. I drove for 20 years and have been retired from regional truck driving for the last 10 years. When I retired, only 3 of our 20 trucks had CB's.

Can't see lights. Why are large trucks allowed to drive in these conditions?
This should be mandatory viewing during every drivers exam; the difference between 30 mph and 60 mph in bad weather.
MrWguts absolutely! But people will always speed no matter what the conditions are. it's sad
Exactly. 25 to 30 MPH max in those conditions.
John Halstead when I was in the police academy, we had to drive in close groups in wet conditions
Amen!!!!
I thought you were supposed to go faster in the snow?
I am from this area. What you cannot see from this view are two critical facts. Just over the far horizon, there is a clover leaf interchange. Cars turning right have to drastically slow down to make a relatively sharp turn in bad conditions. The drastic difference in vehicle speeds is what is causing the pile up. The other factor that is not apparent in the video is that there is an overpass that crosses a rail line. That overpass is crowned and people's line of site is blocked. The cars coming into this pile up have just crossed the overpass.
PSA: always have a blanket, extra warm clothes and some water and food in your car in the Winter for moments like This. Even if you aren’t in an accident, you may be stuck on the road for HOURS.
Right! Plus a fairly large candle in a coffee can, matches, medication, first aid kit, flashlight, granola bars or sealed foods, TP, full tank of gas, boots, foot liners, wool socks, heavy gloves, hat & sleeping bag. Make sure the tailpipe is cleared. Those hand warmers are great for feet and hands.

Hats off to all the OTR drivers out there.
Unfortunately, over the last 20 to 25 years the drivers have all become part of that me generation, very very few of them have a radio anymore but would rather depend on that cell phone to tell them what's going on and that cell phone only tells them about 1/10 of what they need to know if that much...... I just came off the road after 27 and a half years out there I've seen it they drive like maniacs and I try to stay away from them... I'd hear some of them get on the radio said I know it all I've done it all and I key up and ask where you at driver he says why I said I want to know where so I can know to stay the hell away from where you at because right now you are the most dangerous driver out here they shut up after that... Still driving 80mph with a less than 2 second following distance, then they honk at you when you are driving at the speed limit or slower with a 7 second following distance. Once upon a time, 35 years ago, I was driving an empty semi on 22x, south of Calgary at 4 in the morning and came over a hill to find a car parked in the middle of the road. Icy road with no shoulder and my choice was hit the car or take the field. I rhubarbed it. Then I hiked to the car to find it running with the driver laying across the seat. I knew that if he got away my boss would think I fell asleep at the wheel and fire me. I set out flares before the crest of the hill to warn any drivers to slow down, then I let the air out of all the tires on the car so he couldn't drive away. Then I hiked down the road a mile or so to a gas station and used the phone to call the RCMP. They showed up before the guy could get away and busted him for impaired driving. It took the rest of the day to get the rig back on the road but I kept the job. It's the only time in over 40 years of driving semi's that I had to do that, and I was very aware of keeping the angle right so I didn't roll over, but after hitting the brakes and locking everything up, I knew my only option was the field. If I'd hit that car I would have killed him.
When I first started driving for a living in 1969, an old guy told me you can't call yourself a trucker till you've rolled one. I think I can call myself a trucker because I've never rolled one.
I'd say that was a professional move ya made on that call to the mounties.
And I will have to agree with you
A professional trucker is one that survives the ride.
Kudos to you for making it out unscathed
Kevin Parker You should have kept it on the road and eliminated one problem of the road! But....I can tell you have common sense, which is lacking amongst many others out there!
abe mathiau Please take a look at the video on my channel. I'm driving from Fort Mcmurray to Calgary in a semi in the winter. e greenie And he would spend the rest of his life lamenting that he took someone's life when he could have avoided doing so.....idiot
Jackie Campbell
Lets play this out. Say you are driving down the road behind Kevin and you see everything as its happening, the car stopped in the road and Kevin taking the field to avoid hitting it. Now that Kevin is in the field and you are stopped there saying "Wow! What the hell just happened?? What do I do"??, and the person in the car hears all the commotion and wakes up. He looks at what he just caused, starts his car(if it wasn't running) and takes off flying down the road drunk as hell. Now, you leave after checking on the truck driver and as your ass is driving down the road, in a couple miles, you come upon the next wreck that the drunk caused and you say "Wow! What the fuck?!?! Its the same car from where the truck is and he hit someone head on! Oh my, that other car is so fucked up, you cant even tell it was a car. Nobody can be alive in there!". Then you hear screaming coming from the person in the other car, "help me, somebody please help me". Now the car catches on fire and before any fire dept can get there, the car absolutely burned to nothing, with the person still trapped inside and being burned alive, on top of all their other injuries. Of course, the drunk driver survives (like they always do). Now the fire dept, cops and ambulance roll up, get whats left of the fire out while the cops are questioning you. They find the drivers wallet in his back pocket and they hand it to the cops to identify the victim and, being curious,as I'm sure you are, you ask if they can tell you who it was. They tell you "it was a teenage boy. A Mr. Campbell from just up the road". You noticed I used YOUR last name because it was YOUR son coming home from work and that was screaming while being burned alive! And you in turn would be saying the same thing I did....."That truck driver should have killed that stupid drunk when he had the chance!! Now my son's dead!" Boo hoo😭boo hoo😭waaa waaa waaaa😭....dumbass!
If you ever come up upon a pile up like this, try to get around the outside so you're not the last one! Your life may depend on it!

@@nathanbrisson3888 Unless your car has already been hit & severely damaged in a collision, it is still the safest place to be to protect you against injury in a collision in conditions like this, unless you're driving something constructed before 1997. Modern cars have crumple zones, crush-resistant frames and air bags. The worst thing you can do is exit your vehicle and stand near where some 2- to 80-ton pile of steel and glass hurtling down the road at 40-55 miles per hour can veer off the road and impact your fragile human body. I used to drive a tow truck and have seen pileups like this one in Colorado where people who thought it was a good occasion for a stroll on the blacktop were carried away in pieces.

My dad just made me watch this for driving advice- he said that if in a situation like that, either drive up the side as far as possible like the rightmost driver at 2:45 or just get off the road and drive as far away as possible like the car in the field at 3:45 and then call 911. Don't just stop and sit there, you'll just become the next person to get rear-ended.
The 1st Keeper Of Tales You'd think that would be common sense but people act stupid in emergency situations. Also some cars are so damaged they can't move out of the way.
And you shouldn't get out of your vehicle unless 1. it's on fire or 2. it's clear and you can run as fast as you can off of the roads and to safety. And hope that no cars will be hit and go in your direction.
That's pretty good advice. You drive, and have your passenger call 911. Remember to get the highway mile marker number so first responders know which exit to use.
The 1st Keeper Of Tales I hope he also told you dont get beside a tractor- trailer & just sit there, pass him & get on down the road. Also dont pass it then step on your brakes like SO MANY cars do for some unexplained reason!!!😡

Car after car was speeding too fast for the conditions
All of that could of been prevented. Driving to fast caused all that.
@@rickarnold6513
The source of the cause before the others drove too fast are the drivers way down the street who had stopped in the middle of the street. If they never stopped, than this would have never happened. They'd still be driving without any wrecks to begin with. So all of that could have been prevented if the drivers were still driving in the very front. But, the speeding is the second cause. The third cause is the drivers decided to drive in the fog instead of staying home until it all cleared away. Their decision to drive in the first place, caused themselves to get in this situation.
@@marciturner4570 you have no idea why they stopped. They didn't just stop for no reason. And if people knew how to drive they would never thought there would be a pile up behind them.
This is why you slow down. Bc you never know what is up ahead and need to stop. Speed is the primary reason.
I feel bad for the ones who were going an appropriate speed and were able to stop and avoid an accident only to be rear ended by a car that was going too fast and couldn't stop.
I can't beleive how many people defend speeding.
The ones who were able to stop proves speeding is what caused the collision. Only the speeders couldn't stop.

That's why you drive slow. Not stop and stay put in the middle of the road for long period of time. There were no stoplight to stop at. If you are going to stop and stay there that long, pull over to the shoulder on the right.
@@marciturner4570 you can,t see well enough to know why they stopped I was thinking that they had stopped because their vehicles had collided and been disabled or they most likely would have got their vehicles off the highway.
Take it from a former truck driver: In conditions like this and any condition where you can't see well at all...and or if everyone is slowing down or stopping on the interstate➡️TURN ⚠️ON⚠️ YOUR ⚠️4⚠️ WAY ⚠️FLASHERS!!! if everyone had there 4 way flashers on, this pile up would of had more people hitting the brakes sooner....and maybe less crashing going on.
And when you get stopped in this situation keep your hands off the steering wheel so IF you get hit the steering wheel doesn't suddenly yank the crap outta your hands and injure/ break bones in your hands. That happened to me years ago.the pain in my thumb from that still bothers me on occasion.
The last time I checked, snow, ice & low visibility means slow down & take it easy NOT speed up & get reckless! !!
They can't hear you
They don't care.
It's all about them and what they want regardless of who gets hurt. Making excuses, failing to take responsibility for one's actions and blame shifting is very popular these days. If you're really good at it, you can get elected President by like minded twits.
mipilot30: Let us not forget that they also think they are immune to crippling injury or death.
Haven't you all heard that white stuff means you get better traction, the more there is the faster you can go....
I was another thread and a guy (I'm betting he was young) was really defending speeding. Saying it is not speed that causes accidents/loss of life. Bad drivers cause accidents/loss of life. I responded with some examples. Manly that very minor moves can be recovered and not cause an accident but add speed, reaction time is way less, ability to recover is way less and impact is way more extreme whereas loss of life is way higher. He called me names and called me a nag and go nag my husband. Lol. I let him get to me bc I have to drive on the same road as these people.
When I said hitting gravel at a normal speed you can recover. But add speed and you lose control very easy, spin flip etc. He thought I proved his point re only bad drivers would hit gravel and that proves bad drivers are to blame as he originally said. There are all kinds of unpredictable situations that can cause an accident that does not include other drivers.
I am so frustrated with all this. Accidents have risen, deaths have risen. Insurance costs have risen all because of yes bad drivers or arrogant drives who think they are invincible.
Am I wrong? How can anyone defend speeding.
Oh and he brought up the "highway in Germany" um you mean the Autobahn lol. I had researched this long ago bc of peoples belief that speed doesnt kill and after he made these statements. 35% of all drivers in Germany drive on the Autobahn. 11% of all car accidents in Germany are on the Autobahn. Now the population is very high there but I still think this is a high number. And contrary to popular belief there is a suggested speed limit on the Autobahn (I didn't know this) but it is not a law. I don't tolerate speeding at all. Arogance and impatience does not belong on our roads and highways. How many people have to die in completely avoidable "accidents".....no it's choices.
despite what you may THINK, I know from experience, at 3:31 and at 3:45 you will see 2 rigs driven by guys that are the absolute reason we call them CLASS 1 A drivers...they had to make split second decisions and maneuvers with fully loaded trucks on icy roads in a accident scene and BOTH got through, all be it in the corn field, but they got through without killing, hitting or even scratching the paint....
I trust a semi over a car anyday.
I agree, except if you watch closely the second truck does make some light contact with some vehicles before getting off the road. But still an awesome job by both drivers to not add to the mayhem, and still keep their trucks upright!
Franky boy, you are obviously not mature enough to avoid using foul language when addressing people you don't know, and also you have an inflated ego demonstrated by calling a person an idiot, when you have no idea what their IQ level is. ....However I refer again to the clip, if viewed closely you can see that the rigs are low in the (ASS END for your benefit and understanding) rear end for others. Low means there is weight, and NORMALLY we don't go on the road any distances without a load, IT DOES NOT PAY WELL, so we avoid it. It can be safely assumed these 2 trucks ARE loaded. Secondly, I see no REAL impact between either truck or any other vehicles, but even if there was a scrape it is minor considering what could have happened. These drivers did a great job of avoiding a much worse outcome....I added for you information..... For the common or slang use of imbecile, see Idiot. The term imbecile was once used by psychiatrists to denote a category of people with moderate to severe intellectual disability, as well as a type of criminal.[1][2] The word arises from the Latin word imbecillus, meaning weak, or weak-minded. It included people with an IQ of 26-50, between "idiot" (IQ of 0-25) and "moron" (IQ of 51-70).[3] In the obsolete medical classification (ICD-9, 1977), these people were said to have "moderate mental retardation" or "moderate mental subnormality" with IQ of 35-49.[4]
TonyB08 Would you be able to tell by where the trailer wheels were set at, or is it too dependant on the weight they're hauling?
well yes and no, axle set back depends on the jurisdiction a truck is in, some are regulated, some not so much. BUT looking at the clip it is hard to see, but to me it looks like they have em set at 40' which is the usually distance back of the kingpin. So with a balanced load they could have a max of 52,000 on the trailer, but I think not quite.
This sort of thing makes me question whether it's ever safe to leave the house, given how many clueless people are out and about. How do people in Iowa drive this badly in the snow?

tudorjason and yet at the same time I can’t look away
I was driving north through OKC years ago and they had just gotten a butt load of freezing rain ( a bit rare for the area) . Just north of the city there was a long, straight decline followed by a long straight incline. When I came over the crest of the hill it looked like a freaking skating rink. Cars and trucks sliding every which way, all across both Lanes, the median and the ditches. Crashes happening everywhere. I know how to drive in bad conditions...no heavy breaking or sudden changes. I aimed my car down the center of our two lanes and just tried to breathe. Car swerving right in front and behind me. Somehow or another I made it all the way through untouched. Good driving, yes, but a huge amount of just plain old luck as well.
I drive a LOT of miles each year - in the midwest, especially. I can't even count the number of pileups like these that I've witnessed first-hand. Thankfully (knock on wood) I've always managed to avoid collision or contact. One thing that is consistent in almost every case is a civilian driver who - instead of slowing down - tries to take another lane last minute. It always - always - accelerates the issue. Just slow the hell down, pay attention, and be prepared to stop. Period!
Well said n thank you.

@@M.C.G. Two WEEKS ago, I was driving in conditions very similar to this. The right lane was relatively clear, and the left lane was snow covered. A white Corvette was behind me, and traffic was moving about 45-50 mph. The Corvette decided to pass me on the left - in the fresh snow. The driver sped up to about 60-65 mph, and a truck decided to follow his lead. It was almost 6:00 pm, so light was low, but I could still see - plainly - with the naked eye. After the Corvette and truck passed me, I saw the Corvette trying - desperately - to get back into the right lane. Speeds WAY too fast for conditions!! America has lost its mind concerning common sense and courtesy on our roadways. I drive a truck for a living and the things I see everyday anger, scare(trust me, I’m a man’s man), and sadden me to no end. The selfishness, distracted driving(EPIDEMIC folks), failure to use turn signals, excessive speed, and overall disdain for traffic laws leaves me in awe that more motorists aren’t killed or seriously injured. The sad and tragic moral to this rant is that 99% of drivers who read this comment will say to themselves; won’t happen to me. It’s everyone else who can’t drive. Therein lies the problem. No personal accountability. Am I a perfect driver? Unfortunately no and I mean that. I’m a driving enthusiast and a staunch perfectionist and when I unintentionally offend someone or make a mental error in judgement, I make a concerted effort to apologize to avoid hard feelings. If someone shows me courtesy, I’m certain to say thank you with a flash of the headlights or a simple wave. I rarely, and I mean rarely get a thank you when I try to help my fellow motorists with courtesy. Many of you think that showing gratitude is antiquated. No, it simply means you suffer from an entitlement disorder. Translation: I’m important and you’re not! Folks, this is why road rage is at an all time high. Remember, driving is a privilege and one that needs to be carried out with skill and a vigilant disposition(i.e., looking ahead and not down at phone, awareness of vehicles around you etc.). If we all(yes, I’m including myself) can practice these simple principles, driving will become a MUCH safer activity and greatly reduce the loss of life that statistically has increased greatly in the last several years. These pile ups happen Every. Single. Year. across the country. Ya think people would slow down, in winter weather. My husband and I got caught in an ice storm in Louisiana, on I-10, a few years back. The roads were ok at first, till he lost control, going over a bridge, but recovered. At that point, we were doing about 35 mph. After that, we crept to the next exit, and slept in a truck stop parking lot, because all the hotels were full. It took the rest of the next day, to get back home in Mobile, Al.
100% agree
Yes, but… you got home. Alive.

Ice Storm on the Gulf coast. Now thats a freak storm.
We did not have snow tires on. We were on I-10, in Louisiana. We weren't expecting an ice storm. When we left to go to Houston, we heard a major cold front was coming, but that usually means a 20 to 30 degree drop in temps. Ice storms are mostly unheard of down here. I've seen snow and ice 3 times, in the 14 years I've lived in the deep south.

Here's an idea. As part of our national highway infrastructure, we install electronic speed limit signs that can be updated to suit conditions in real time. Details about how to do this can be worked out. Any thoughts?
Many cities have variable speed limits. Seattle for example on I-5. But they should be more common, good idea!
Agreed I have thought of this type of think decades ago. Most states dont or won't because the chance of a pileup like this are rare or it's too much money and were to put these sign and other bullarky. If the did these types of pileup would be even less than they are now. Happened in West Germany as the Autobann was fogged over and BMW ran into an East German Tribit driving to slow. 100+ cars taken out.
In these conditions slow down and stay alive.
We have electronic speed signs in Oregon/Washington that can be changed on a whim. There are also the big signs that show how long it will take to get to another freeway junction or the airport. You can't miss these signs, and they are up and down the I-205, I-5, and I-84 freeways. Crazy thing is that you won't catch me on the road during weather like this! Like someone else said - it is the other people on the road that they're worried about. If people here in Portland don't know how to drive relatively smart in the rain, there is no way they can be trusted on the roads with freezing rain, ice, and snow!
Better idea people discussed during the pileup in DFW this week. Sensors that send out a 'stopped traffic' alert to phones, like a high wind or tornado warning or an Amber alert.
Now that would be a feature worth having on everyone's smart phone.
Of course, these sensors are easier to install in metropolitan areas, where there already are a number of embedded sensors in freeways and surface streets.
Doing it on hundreds of miles of interstate tends to get pricey, however.
@@shelbynamels973 Not a bad idea, but real-time adjusted speed limit signs would be more effective, in my view, as they would require no signal to be sent to phones, they would simply be part of the standard highway signage. A stopped traffic alert would have to rely on real-time updates, and where are these coming from? Of course they would be coming from reports that traffic had stopped somewhere, but at that point the problem that realtime adjusted highway signs are designed to prevent, or minimize, is already underway. In other words, the stopped traffic is already a problem. Additionally, an alert sent to a phone may require the driver to check the alert on their phone, which is not necessarily a safe or convenient procedure while driving.
An alert system might be a good auxiliary supplemental to the highway sign system, though. Cheers. :)
Every time I see something like this I'm in disbelief that we STILL don't have a driver warning system like they have had for. 50+ years in Germany. The radios all had a system in them that if an event like this occurred, a light would flash on the radio, it would beep and switch to a public channel that would immediately warn drivers of the accident.. Did not matter if the radio was on or off or what you were listening to, it would override and warn you. Yet here we are living more than a half century behind the times.

Yeah I definitely try to avoid those areas especially after work. Take the back roads on the way home. The express way by work in the pm is always a parking lot because of accidents.
All the Driver Assist gadgets are making a need for self driving cars. No one really knows how to drive a car anymore. And they don't seem to much care if they are responsible for wrecking their cars. But let someone else have a tiny bit more fault than them, that they can blame. Boom, they blow a gasket!
baloghlcb yep, too many computers in vehicles these days. I got a 01 Ranger with power nothing, not even AC and a manual. It's all me behind the wheel
Yeah I like Rangers. Ford i normally know to be junk but not Rangers. My grandpa had an 86 Ranger that finally was scrapped in 2011. Dependable for sure. Kept it simple. New Ranger looks like junk
weeeeeee oh shit! if the weather is bad like this i'm staying home period
Being from Northern Ontario where we get a LOT of snow, I know what to do and what not to do when driving in these conditions. I always slow down and am on high alert. It still amazed me how some drivers just fly past me as if it’s a clear, dry day.
And you're being a massive hazardous obstacle by doing that. It isn't safe to do at all. Get off the highway if you don't want to drive highway speed.
@@iunnox666 Calm down tough guy. I said that I slow down. Slowing down for me is driving the speed limit. Get off your high horse.
@@dorothysmith3850 Sorry sweetie, but it's a completely reasonable assumption given what I've seen on Ontario roads. People going 60-80 for no reason on the highway, even in good conditions, is a common occurance.
Carful Dorthy, that ain't your Kansas...
I'm even sitting here praising God for every mile......
And my hat is off to ya
I won't go east of Winnipeg anymore ....
@@iunnox666 The people driving fast in bad conditions are a far greater hazard
I'm a tractor trailer driver who lives in upstate New York. I've taken loads to Nova Scotia, and a South Carolina. Winter driving is my bread and butter. What keeps me out of trouble, is maintaining safe distances and speeds, then stab (pump) braking. It's really not that difficult
Knew this was going downhill quick as soon as Swift rolled by
First thing I said when I saw the swift truck.
"He probably caused it all"
Ditto.......
It looked like Swift was one of the few who slowed down and continued on his way. Your eyes must be bad.
SWIFT TRUCK ROLLED BY SLOWLY GREAT JOB SWIFT
Swift did well for a change.
