Those he said that ask for their share should also be dismissed.

Absolutely that important point he made is the main reason why corruption in our Police is extremely difficult to eradicate. There are good ones among them agreed but they need to purge at least 70% of the entire police force and start from the scratch. As much as it sounds like a harsh solution unfortunately that is the only way out. Some terrible situations require terrible solutions like in this case. It's so scary having to rely on our police to for protection.

Corruption is everywhere, even in the most developed countries. You cannot be taking bribe with such impunity. The impunity is what we are fighting. It is impunity, that made people like Gbajabiamila thinks it's OK to post a picture of himself taking lectures at Havard, while ASUU is on strike. Nobody said fighting corruption will be easy, but this is a step in the right direction.

I was a Police officer who was frustrated because I wasn't extorting and so could not report to my AC" A" and DC"A". I was DCO. I chose to resign in the face of that frustration. Unfortunately this is a 1980 story and the officers involved in my experience have since died. The Police Force , good as it is, has too many corrupt superior officers. The dismissal of the Inspector is mere window dressing.

    Hi,
I have contributed to similar issues on you channel. This kind of dismissal is a show of shame and playing to the gallery.
You don't dismiss a man who knows how to use arms and ammunition into the society because he committed an extortionate offence.
My approach would be to demote him by one level, send him to the House of a commissioner of police where he would serve as a gate man and domestic assistant.
You have only released a potential armed robber into the Nigerian society.

This jide most times he likes to playing to gallery, even though he knew that it's a culture in police, and he knows their bosses do send them their to bring returns back to them in the evening yet he's defending them so the police can say he's a good man, tell me what's he thanking God about police for? Most of our people cannot just stand by the truth, Jide just want to be soft on government in everything in his dairy programmes on the screen, they keep saying thesame thing everyday yet nothing changes in the country, anyway I don't even have time for their usual un-fruitful daily noises

Most Police station are run by these daily returns from their men, sadly.
Secondly, someone was recruited in 2000 and he is still on the road beats as checkpoints as an Inspector. Since 2000 oooo! Haba!! Give or take promotion dey move he's suppose to be an Assistant Superintendent of Police! The whole thing is frustrating!!!!

It’s this type of incident makes police mad if they see anyone recording what they are doing.
