When I did this back in the day I used a Reshiram and a Zekrom to get past Disguise. I don't remember how long it took but I remember getting it really quickly
If you ever get tired of using false swipe you can always try tricking a focus band. Also soak has helped me about when I didn't have a good mold breaker.
I had hatched mine previously but i bought ultra sun recently which makes my Alola game set complete and im definitely energized to shiny hunt in it for a different experience!
a personal method i did was use scrappy panda have a mon with the move recycle and hope the mimikyu did not waste it's pp just randomly doing it and had a special ghost move to get rid of the charm debuffs but honestly really good plan for you tbh, and i am happy you have a shiny mimikyu from sos bc it's is a challenge as you saw
I shiny hunted mimikyu as my second shiny in history of me playing Pokémon (for those curious my 1st one was a Relicanth on ORAS by just surfing between routes) to be honest I don't remember my method but I did get him only after 6 calls

When i hunted this thing i used a reshiram. Its ability works just like mold breaker, but since it was a special attacker charm didnt matter
