Thank you for uploading. I used a 3,5 mm needle and pure new wool. Because of that I started with 126 stitches. My rows are subdivided in: 44 rows in blue, 4 rows in grey, 8 rows in blue and 4 rows in grey. It seems to be closer to the original scarfs from the movies. Before I made the fringe I ended both sides with crocheting a row of single crochet stitches, then I added 6 rows crocheting normally.
Sorry for my late answer, I didn't notice your question. I used 8 1/2 balls (50 g balls) in blue and 2 in grey. The scarf is more than 2 meters long, like those, which can be bought from the Warner Bros. Studio shop in London.
VG Anni
I also had the Problem, that my first stitches were very tight. My mom told me to put pith needles together and then cast on the stitches. After that you just pull out the other needle, and there you go. Perfectly even, not too tight stitches to work into. :)
After a long long time doing this scarf I just realized I was following the description instructions and the pattern is wrong 🤡 There it says it's 6-8-8-45 and I was following lol It's gonna be a little different but I think it'll still look nice anyway
What weight is that yarn? I have those same colors and brand but mine is a fingering weight and I’m not going to spend 2 years knitting up a scarf with fingering weight lol is it dk?
Great tutorial and beautiful scarf. I'm missing the inches of the blocks. The big blue one and the thin ones in grey. The measuring in rows in other types of wool and needles might not work the same.
I copied the scarf in the movies ;) I am very well aware it's bronze and blue the real colors of Ravenclaw. Pick the colors of your scarf as you wish! :D
@@ClaudiasUniverse i ment it only as a joke ! you've made it absulotly beautifly i'm slytherin i've been rewaching this to get the correct technique to make mine
I really recommend the circular needle because you can make your shawl round like two stratify, with just the Stick needles you have a flat and depend on what wool you use a thin shawl. Important! When you buy a circle needle (So two knitting needles that are connected to each other) Be sure to pay attention to the length of the knitting needles because you can't knit a shaw like in the Video with knitting needles that measure 80cm, so First of all, decided how wide your project should be and then buy the right needle (There's many Sets on eBay for a cheap price)
hai! may i know how much should i buy if i want to make one with the 100g/ball for each blue and charcoal yard? like you said in the description box, 100g x 3 ball but i still don’t understand hehe thankyou so much!
Basing this off of reading crochet patterns, but it believe it's knit 2 together and then keep knitting in the round. If you're using circular needles and ending up with a "tube", then you won't have to purl any stitches. The purl stitches show on the back, or inside of the tube. Hope that helped!
I think several factors are involved: how fast you are knitting, how much time you can invest per day, the yardage of the yarn and so on. I don't remember any more how much time it took. But it was a lot, because it was gift for my daughter. I always had to knit when I didn't have to work and she was at school. Sorry that I can't give you an adequate response.
I knitted this scarf for my boyfriend's birthday and it was a success. She explains it very clearly and this video should be way more popular.
Girl... I'm also trying to do this for mine 😅😅

I got back into knitting a short will ago, and was so stress on how to do the front fringes, but thanks to you i'm not anymore ! Thank you ♥️♥️♥️♥️

In the first 55 rows how many rows should be hidden by the tassels and how many stitches apart are they placed?
Looks amazing!
Just a comment- 6us needles are actually 4 mm, not 9 mm :)
haha you're so right! Thank you :)

Che bellissima! Grazie per la convidisione!😊
Are you sure , you are using a 9mm with that thin yarn?
Oups 4 mm! (6US)

Excuse me what happens if you accidentally leave 62 remaining stitches
Can you please please 🙏clarify the weight of yarn you used? Was it light/DK?
I wanna tie it like cedric's how do I do that
Did you knit 12 grey stripes/6 pairs of grey stripes?
I did 8, but you can make less if you want it shorter. I wanted to be able to wrap the scarf twice around my neck.
Claudia's Knitting Universe so that’s 9 blue parts?
Do we need that circular needle or can we use the two sticks?
I really recommend the circular needle because you can make your shawl round like two stratify, with just the Stick needles you have a flat and depend on what wool you use a thin shawl.

Can you sell me this scarf..?🙏
How do I slip the first stitch from the right needle to the left without unraveling it?
itsjulia don’t worry about it. i tried it, and although it felt weird, it all worked out. just follow the instructions
@@sydneyelisabeth7954 okay, thanks!

You need 2 balls of blue and 1 of charcoal :)
wow how long did it took uu
What is k2tog and is there any purling or is it just knit stitch for the whole thing?

Would 4 ply yarn work
