I'm considering getting the S5 based on all the good stuff I've heard about their performance. But my once concern are the frameless windows. Many years back I had a VW CC with them and they would constantly freeze up in the winter and it would be hard to open. I know now that de-icer is helpful, but sometimes the ice is too thick. Does the S5 have this issue often?
I heard that issue can happen with any car that has frameless windows. I only owned my S5 for 6 months, so I didn't get to the winter timeframe to experience it for myself.
would you say 2024 audi s5 would be an upgrade from a 2022 kia stinger GT? thinking of it. i think you had both cars but i don’t want to spend extra money if they’re similar and im not gaining anything by spending extra
I actually had that same scenario! I traded in a 2021 Kia Stinger GT1 AWD for a 2021 Audi S5 Sportback in Turbo Blue. All I can say is the Stinger was an incredible ride. It has better off the line acceleration and response, sharper and sportier handling, more features, and it's more engaging. The pluses of the Audi are a more refined ride, more sporty exhaust sound, and it has less reliability issues. Both are amazing cars in their own ways, but coming from a Stinger you won't really feel an "upgrade". They are in the same class.
Is your line of vision obstructed by that touch screen or do just get use to it? Seems it sits up so high.
I haven't experienced any difficulties with the visibility
How does this compare to the s6 you test drove? Your main complaint on that was throttle lag.
They both have it! I prefer how the S5 drives
For 0-60 runs, use launch control (stability OFF, foot on brake, foot on gas, release brake)
This is a new car, why would I use launch control?

I thought you can only get massage seats on prestige trims 5:13. Is it new for 2024?
Massage is standard on all trims.
massage is standard with the leather seats, but you lose the ventilated seats. If you don't get the bucket leather seats, then you can get ventilated but no massage.
Would you ever have a chance to review a 2024 is350 f sport???

@@jadenduong4831Thank you! I can already tell you, get the S5 if you're comparing it to an IS350. The IS500 is a much better competitor.

@@jadenduong4831 First off all, I wouldn't even recommend a car with a markup. The two best cars in this class are the BMW M440i GC, Audi S5, Volvo S60 T8 Recharge, Lexus IS500, which can all be bought well under sticker.
coming from a 2022 g70 3.3t rwd, would you suggest this or the rs5?
My first question would be, why in the world are you getting rid of a 22' G70? :) The RS5 ride isn't good at all, so I'd recommend the S5, but after the G70 you'll be somewhat disappointed in the response and handling in comparison.
@DMCarReviews was looking at an rs5 for more performance and a sharper exterior when I saw lots of people saying the s5 was a better deal overall. I do worry about the interior being a bit worse compared to my sport prestige but I expected the ride and performance of both to be better than the g70 tbh!
@@h0rrr I think the G70 rides and handles better, and has a more responsive powertrain for almost half the price🤷♂️
@@DMCarReviews oh that's really surprising! i expected the handling to be sharper in the AWD. seems like maybe there aren't any upgrades in the s5 other than exterior design. guess i'll need to also look at some other options!
@@h0rrr I'd keep the G70 and enjoy it!! The S5 is a wonderful car, but I honestly wouldn't replace one with the other.
If I had to recommend a car to review, it would be the V60 polestar 2020+

Between the two, I prefer the S5. I would also suggest looking at the M440i.

@@ThatguyLoso120 It's a much older platform with an infotainment that is behind the competition. It's less comfortable, has more wind noise, and I'm not a fan of the steer-by-wire system.
@@ThatguyLoso120 get an s5. the redsport is very outdated. it lacks a good steering feel and a good exhaust system. go read car and drivers review of both
@@Demoxx1Both cars are awesome, I just think the S5 is the overall better option. The Q50RS is also a wonderful car, and it's much more responsive off the line and has a very strong engine.
