    The hydropneumatic system (pressured nitrogen in the suspension spheres + LHM - Mineral Hydraulic Liquid) also manages the power steering (and the DIRAVI - DIection à Rappel AsserVI, self-centering steering) and the brakes. The non self-cancelling indicators were pretty specific to Citroën and ended with the CX, most French cars have self-cancelling indicators. The 2.4L 4cyl engine of the CX 2400 GTI (and the 25 GTI Turbo) originated in the Tracion Avant (yup, a pre-WWII engine) and evolved with the DS (21 and 23) then with the CX. BTW, DS and CX have bacome quite a rare sight in France (and their prices have become bonkers) but if you want to indulge in some cool reliable and quite affordable hydropneumatic Citroën you can nowadays import the Xantia in the US because 1993 and 1994 models are 30+ years old. It doesn't have the magic carpet ride or the "mushroom" over assisted brake pedal but its induced steering rear axle is something to expericence (not to mention the Acttiva version...). BTW, you're not far off with the MB S-Class thumbnail comparison because Mercedes proposed a similar suspension system in their high end SEL models in the 1970's and 80's. Oh, I forgot ; check out "CX Tissier" on YT if you want some 6-wheeler crazy fast van. These vehicles used to cruise at 100MPH at night on many west European highways in the 70's and 80's.

    The reason why you did not feel comfortable during that exit At 52mph, is because your car didn’t have the sport differential. I would have to disagree with you and say that if you had the sport package with the sport differential during the accelerating turn is exactly where you’re going to see the difference with handling & control. Either way, great videos…

    • @DMCarReviews
      @DMCarReviews День назад

      Makes no difference. I've driven many, if not tens of S5's with and without the sport package, and they all feel the same in every aspect, besides the ride stiffness. The ones with the Sport Package ride worse. As far as 52mph, that's a good speed. The record in that turn is 54 mph so far in the i5 M60. The Giulia did 53mph. I'm sure I could have done more in each car, but that was the "comfortable" limit for each car.

  • @davidhubbard8353
    @davidhubbard8353 День назад

    Doing this on an engine that hasn't even been broken in yet...you're not doing the engine any favors and you're certainly not going to get the best times either. A big thing about the whole "thinking" really comes down to the transmission not learning your driving style yet. Once it learns, it shifts to allow more power. When I bought mine used with 22K miles, the transmission was used to someone who very gently babied it (I do too, but since it's new to me I like to test it's capabilities a bit more while still babying it) and the transmission has adjusted to my driving style, so now it's a little more ready to give you some more power especially at lower speeds when you need it. Once you put on about 2,000 miles or so, it should be acquainted with you. I would try it again now that your transmission and engine have been broken in and adjusted to your driving style, you'll probably find a little bit of a better time.

    • @DMCarReviews
      @DMCarReviews День назад

      The whole "break in" period on these normal cars is such a myth. If they actually needed to be broken in, they would have a limited redline like the BMW S63 for the first 300 miles, or the Corvette for 500 miles. Most of them are already broken in from the factory.

    • @davidhubbard8353
      @davidhubbard8353 День назад

      @@DMCarReviews Do you have sources? I mean I can understand the BMW and Corvette and these enthusiasts who own the cars understand they have periods that the engine needs to break in...but again, why wouldn't they just do that at the factory if all other engines are broken in at the factory? People would likely be upset if a Corolla or a Forte or whatever have you restricted their power for the first thousand miles of ownership because they may not always understand nor appreciate having their car limited for that period of time. If anything, you'd expect the more powerful engines to be broken in at the factory to ensure they meet the standards unlike the smaller and not quite as powerful engine. I mean, if I'm wrong about something, I'd like to know and I have no problem admitting it, but I have never heard even in modern cars that break ins are simply unnecessary. Edit: most cars, like the Camry, don't have a digital tachometer, nor do they have a instrument cluster that would be compatible with a break in RPM limiter to show that the range has been extended. If we're talking about the average person again, they're not going to understand an RPM limiter and the instrument cluster wouldn't make it apparently visible without a redesign and extra programming. In this day and age, most manufacturers want to make their cars as cheap as possible to boost sales of their cars with the car market being as cold as it has been. Toyota usually isn't one for cutting corners, but I can't imagine they'd go through that trouble. They'd rather just have someone's engine wear out prematurely and have repairs done and that be it, pass that responsibility on to the customer, not them.

      @@DMCarReviews It has notoriously been bad for engines of new and old... it's recommended from the manufacturer. The burden of proof is on you for making the claim that it isn't bad for your car. You made a claim, you did not demonstrate how it's a myth. I just asked for sources and you said it's a myth and that's all you did, no other proof has been provided. Obviously, as *you* stated, the BMW and Corvette need their RPMs limited to properly break in an engine, so why would they need the break in but not this? I'm sure if I pulled out my Camry manual, it'll state somewhere about the break in period.

    4:30, it’s a 2.5 Liter. It was new for the 2020 sonata. It’s a part of their new smartstream engines that are dual and port injected. It used to be the 2.4 liter, which was around forever. I love the new sonata, and I would definitely trade in my 18’ Sonata for it, it feels more substantial than accord and Camry and the new gen has been fairly reliable. You definitely need to try the N-Line sometime with the 2.5t. It is the fastest in its segment, and 35-36k. and the displays are configurable, with the guages etc, and lots of features, I could tell you were called in to review without notice lol. Thank you! How many cars do you have, lol?! I wasn't a fan of the design or the ride. Too soft and bouncy for my taste, made me feel a little car sick, even as a driver. Also, so many different brand design ideas put altogether into one car. I'm sure the the N-Line has better acceleration, since it has a turbo, but I doubt it will be anything much different from the Accord V6 in terms of performance. I do prefer the Altima 2.0T in most regards, especially the handling. I was just passing by their dealer and saw the new Sonata and figured to film it. I did see the different gauge options.

    I rented an 2023 Dodge Charger GT 3.6L V6 back in Jan of 2023 when I went to Nashville, TN for a work related week long conference.. Anyway, I liked the rental V6 Charger looks but thought it needed to only be a V8 as the V6 was just a tease when driving - just didn’t have the GRUMBLE under the hood that I desired.. Fast forward to March of 2024 and I went and bought a 2023 Dodge Charger R/T Blacktop(5.7L/V8) and have the exhaust grumble I needed but now I kinda wish I’d have bought a Scat Pack instead of the R/T! 😆😆😆🏁🐝🛞💨🏁
