I stumbled on this video tutorial and thought it is the best instructional I have ever watched. While I had not, and do not, plan to install new headlights in my Mazda 3 ... I could not stop watching your presentation. It is flawless! Kudos SPECDTUNING!
I got them. They look very good but poorly made. My right side wasn't sealed properly so water leaks in and looks smudgy inside. I tired to take it apart but it's sealed so tight I can't fix it. Have no choice but to live with it. Worth the money though because it really ups the look of the car by a big margin
I put the headlight in but didn't put any of the screws or bolts or the bumper back on yet because I wanted to see if all the lights would work. The low and high beams work, the only thing that doesn't work are both the turn signals on both the headlights. Also I only put the first headlight in not the second one yet so I thought it was weird that both turn signal didn't work on the new headlight and the old one still in the car. I didn't know if I needed to put everything back together first for it to work or what. Please help
I installed everything, but my LED strips are not working only my headlights and blinker work? what do I do. i just plug and play everything as shown in your video.
Where can I get those plastic clips? I realize you said to replace them. Do those clips come with the purchase of the lights or are they sold separately?
James Fernandez The headlight fitment is all the same. If your vehicle has a stock Xenon bulb or HID kit from the manufacture then the connect will not fit. Your vehicle must have halogen headlights.
Is it possible to upgrade the H11 halogen bulbs to H11 HID Xenon bulbs (with a conversion kit) after installation or is it not recommended with this housing? (my Mazda 3 has stock halogen bulbs btw)
Spec D Tuning Neat. So upgrading to HID won't result in worse cutoff or other adverse effects? What is the color temperature of the halogen bulbs this comes with and is it brighter than OEM halogens? Lastly, are these headlights set up for asymmetrical (RH traffic) beam pattern?
Tyler Dahn We tell all our retail stores to emphasis that these headlights will NOT fit the stock xenon/HID from factory headlights. There is no conversion plug or wiring harness.
28Levels Yes, you can take the lights to a stereo shop and they can wire the LEDs onto a switch and straight to the battery power. You can then control the LEDs yourself.

Very helpful. Thanks!
Question? Is this the same install for a 2010 mazdaspeed 3? Are the fitments the same? Just plug and play?
Thanx in advance

(my Mazda 3 has stock halogen bulbs btw)
Eric Y. The headlights are HID compatible and the lighting can be upgraded without damaging the projectors or the headlight lens.

+Eric Y. No, in fact the cutoff with the HID upgrade is awesome! It's a super sharp cut-off... Much better than the stock halogens.
Is this the same procedure for a 2014 mazda 3 hatchback?
Pedro Cortez Yes, this video should help you with the sedan and hatchback.
so if my stock head lights in my mazda 3 are Xeon bulbs the conector won't fit?
Tyler Dahn Yes, the headlights will NOT fit your connect if your vehicle has HID bulbs from factory.
what do i need to do to install them then?
Tyler Dahn We tell all our retail stores to emphasis that these headlights will NOT fit the stock xenon/HID from factory headlights. There is no conversion plug or wiring harness.
When do the DRLs turn on like at 19:16 with no other lights on? With engine on?
28Levels The lights had a constant power straight from the battery as the vehicle was only used for installation.

Spec D Tuning So in reality, is it possible to have only the LED strips on? I'd really like to put LED daytime running lights in my Mazda 3.
28Levels Yes, you can take the lights to a stereo shop and they can wire the LEDs onto a switch and straight to the battery power. You can then control the LEDs yourself.
Are these xenon headlights or halogen?
Andrew Devall These headlights are equipped with H11 halogen bulbs.
Can I adjust lights for RHD as I live in United Kingdom?
+Patryk Czeszyk No, unfortunately the headlights are only made to sold to fit LHD vehicles only.
Work on a 2012 mazdaspeed 3?
Ryan Smith Yes, so long as your vehicle has halogen headlights the connector will fit.
