A lot of people complaining about the instructions and I don't understand why, very detailed video and it worked for me, my halos look awesome and took me about 2 hours
Worked flawlessly ;) i followed instructions to the T. However, id recommend anyone to match their gauge to their current headlamp positive wire. To avoid damage, shorts or fire.
I just bought a pair of these light and didn't understand the hook up for the halos. but after watching this it was a easy hook up. thanks for the video.
I wish they would have made this video easier to find. the instructions that came with the lights were blurry, and didn't look like they fully printed. This was very helpful
Just installed and wired my own headlights up from you guys! Good quality if I say so myself. Definitely updated the look of the car and are bright as hell!
The installation of your headlights was much smoother than the pair put on my 1996 Honda Accord Lx. The bumper needed to be removed. A family friend and my Dad used those blue connector pieces. It doesn't look as clean of a job as your video. I'm buying a new pair and will practice modifying the old LED Halo projector headlights. Great video. 👍
Since all videos on RUclips and Spec-D’s videos are completely useless about wiring I hope this helps! For anybody still wondering I finally figured it out after a shit ton of trial and error. The two main wires coming off the back of the low beam bulb (mine are black and blue) I connected all 3 white wires together and all 3 black wires together on the headlight. Then I took wire strippers and cut a little half inch section off of the 2 main wires coming off the back of the low beam bulb. Then connected the 3 black wires that control the halos and all of that fun stuff and connected it to the main black wire on the back of the low beam bulb. Then took all 3 white wires and connected it to the main blue wire coming off of the low beam bulb. Now everything is working. It might not be the “professional” way, but I taped it really good and it’s still working! LED’s, Halos, and the long strip along the top of the headlight
@ If you do that, you’d probably just need a regulator with it as well. But it’s been so long since I’ve messed with anything wiring. I could be wrong about that! Spec-D is horrendous about explaining their products properly. I just know that the way I did it it was a good way to get the DRL’s to work properly.
i just got these for my NB miata and i installed them myself using this video and i am not very good with car stuff tbh. the hi and lo beams its just u unplug them and plug in the new ones. the orange parking light uses the same bulb so u dont have to do anything for that one but that is also where u connect the halos and leds. i did not test the voltage i just guessed red and it worked. so both the white wires u twist together and then hook them up to the red (or green maybe in some cars) using the blue plastic “quick connectors” they give. u do NOT have to cut the wire the quick connector will do that for u so u just have to crimp it and save these cause mine came with a ton extra and they are super useful for other lighting projects. the. u do the same thing twist the two black wires together then quick connect them to the black wire from the parking light. and that is it. turn it on and see if it works. if it doesn’t then try switching the direction of the plugs for the hi and lo or try the other (green or red) wire if the halos and leds dont work
So I hooked the wrong wires up for the running lights and now the running lights are not coming on. The headlights still work but, I also lost my headlight left on chime if I get out of my truck. Has anyone had this problem?
You can change out the light bulb color, however, you must use the same application of what the projector bulbs are, e.g. H1,H3... To get the high intensity of 10000k color, you will have ot go HID. The closest to HID color is the light bulbs that are usually named "White, Artic Blue, Ultra white". Hope it helped, good luck
Thanks for a fine video showing me how to remove and replace headlights on a Toyota Tundra. The blue speed-splice devices shown at 4:33 didn't work for me, after trying twice. The black and white wires are all different gauges, and needed to be stripped and spliced "inline" for the easiest wiring installation. In 2023, one of each black and white wires is long enough to splice into the running light wire without adding a jumper section of wire. I broke some of the headlight filler panel removing them from my '07 Tundra, since the plastic spike and grommet fitting was brittle from age. It went back together with a bit of silicone and new plastic rivets. Lights look great, very bright, adds a nice refresh to my 16 year old truck.
It depends on which brand you buy. I have a pair from SPYDER and there are 2 aiming plastic bolts on the back that let you aim. But yes there should always be a way to aim headlights, its part of the OEM inspection guild lines.
Oh and just so you all know I don't work for nor know SpecD, I'm just a happy customer and believe they make good products. I recently bought tail lights from them and am completely satisfied and don't mind helping people.
Wow, you made this more complicated than it should be. New aftermarket headlights all simply plug in to your existing harness with now issues. They are some reports due to manufacture years where the wiring (polarity) was reversed but easily fixed. Now for halo or led effects that is simply just cosmetic is a different story. All manufacturers have them separate from the existing OEM plug for a reason. This gives the consumer the option to wire them directly to a 12 volt source (your existing headlight wiring) or a remote turn on source. Direct means they come on with your headlights and remote means they come on when you start your vehicle. Reason for separation is that some people would like the halos/Led effects on even when the lights are not on (driving lights). Finding a remote wire in your engine bay is rare so you may need to run a wire to your fuse block that only has power when the vehicle is running. Hope that explains why manufacturers don’t have the wiring already tied into the OEM plug
Basically what he’s saying is, if your headlights have daytime running lights, those are the perfect remote wires. But many cars don’t have these. So a separate relay harness is needed to make them function properly when the vehicle is started or you’ll have to turn on all the lights just to get the halo effect
thanks man! i got some new headlights for my first car (2010 corolla s) and i was so confused when i saw extra wires that werent already tied into the OEM plug
Totally agree with you. I called them since there's no email address and was given a number to send screen shots and photos. Their response were useless, and they referred me to seek professional installation. Very disappointed.
I took all the original lights out and duct taped 4 LED flashlights up top, two on each side where the original headlights were, then two down where the park lights were and I fashioned the blinkers from two small strobe lights I picked up at Spencer's for 5 bucks a piece with orange cellophane stretched over them and used Elmer's glue to secure it to the back of the strobes for a nice finished look. I'm very pleased with the appearance and you should see the looks of envy I get as I cruise the strip!
Yes this process can work for all our halo/led headlights. and it should be almost the same for other headlights also. Also yes most cars are wired the same way.
You probably dont give a damn but does someone know of a trick to get back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost my login password. I appreciate any help you can offer me.
@Kylan Watson I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@elaurien We always recommend that you splice the halo/LEDs into the bumper lights or running lights so that you can prolong the use of the bulb. The parking lights for example: are [usually] the lights that come on at night with your headlights. When you turn the lights one click; its your parking lights. When its two clicks then your headlights and parking lights come on together. Good luck
@dajumpoff08 We recommend connecting the halo and LED light to the car’s driving light harness. On cars with driving lights and signal lights separate, there may only be 2 wires on the harness.
actually as long as the battery reads 12.2-12.4v when the vehicle is off its considered good. with the engine running it should be 13.3-13.6v if the battery and alternator are good. if less than 12.2v with nothing on or running then the battery is considered low and should have consideration to have it replaced.
I picked up some spec-d headlights for my 2007 chevy silverado. Installation was easy, though the instructions didn't really help much. My headlights came with 3 sets of positive and negative wires, whereas the instructions and videos only show 2 sets. That being said, I'll explain to you guys how I installed mine. First, I traced the positive and negative wires (white and black) to see what they were going to power up. I took the wires for the LED halo's and lights at the top of the headlight assembly and paired the white with the white and black with the black. I also spliced the 3rd black wire with the other 2 black wires to share a common ground. The remaining white wire was just powering a clear halogen bulb, which I swapped out for an amber colored bulb; this one ran on the top of the headlight assembly and sort of looked like a light bar. As for the low and hi-beams, those were just plug and play from the OEM harness. Mine did however come backwards, they had the low-beam and hi-beam harnesses swapped - it was easy enough to swap those harnesses around. For the Chevrolet Silverado, the OEM color codes are as follows: Brown: park lights, Black: ground, Blue: turn signals. These are the only ones you need to concern yourselves with IF you're going to follow the same setup I did. So, I used blue heat shrinkable butt connectors and spliced everything on the light harness side (not on the chassis harness as they did in this video). In case you don't know what I'm talking about, take the wire you want to tap into, cut it, expose the copper wire and twist those ends together, crimp a butt connector on one end and place the wires into the other end, crimp and apply heat. I took the paired white wires from the LED halo's and lights and spliced those to my brown wire for park lights. I then took my remaining white wire for the halogen bulb and spliced it to my blue wire for the signals. I then took my 3 black wires and spliced those into the ground wire. My truck had 2 black ground wires on the OEM harness, one was for the headlights, the other for the turn signal/parking lamps. I left the one for the headlights alone and used the ground wire for the turn signals/parking lamps. I then heatshrunk all those butt connectors, plugged in the hi and low beams, connected the OEM harness and verified everything was working properly, and that was that! It was all really easy, it took me about 1.5 hours after everything was said and done with a few distractions.
I am trying to install these on my sons 2008 mustang. I cant even get the head light to turn on when i connect the factory plug to the new light. I havent even wired the led's yet. What am I doing wrong??? This is the 2nd set. I returned the first set because I thought they were faulty.
I'm no electronics genious and with the nest of wires I have on a Ford F-150 it was pretty easy to figure out. If you can't you either have enough money to have a shop do it or you should have a bus pass. BTW, the car you guys used for the example now have headlights worth more than the whole car.
Great video. I was able to install my lights and they look great. I am not a mechanic at all and your video provided a step by step process. Thank you. I saved some money but doing this myself.
If anyone wants to wire properly, NEVER use those blue quick connectors. Make a proper pigtail with heatshrink butt connectors to keep moisture out and keep a solid connection. Also, with the male/female crimp connectors, don't put tape around the back. That will not keep water out. Use heat shrink tubing in place of tape to keep moisture out the back end and dielectric grease to keep the front ends from corroding. Not too much grease or it won't close together right.
be aware the headlights don't come with any of that extra male/female connector, or quick connector. Installation is much more of a hassle than it should be.
@hreimer13 The halo rings came on, so the wiring is correct. But if your headlights do not come on, it is because the headlights are defective, because the projector only plugs into the headlight harness. You can check to see if the bulbs are bad, but i recommend that you ask to have the item replaced by the seller. Good luck.
Why don't you just wire them into the wires that come out of the headlight socket? You wouldn't need the extra connectors and the wires would be shorter and neater. You could pre-wire them at the factory.
i find it odd that it would blow the fuse. Low beams usually pull about 55W while LEDs will pull about 35W, i wouldn't imagine these weak Halo's pulling much. Did you try wiring through the High Beam line? High Beams usually pull about 65W, maybe you could get the extra juice necessary from there without blowing fuses.
@@dokkaboi917 You're not going to blow a fuse, it's still connected on the same source, there's no fuse in between the OEM plug and the bulb at the back of the assembly.
Nice job. I usually don't put two males on the headlight assembly in case someone else has to work in the area. It's more difficult to cross wires that way.
Spec D Tuning excuse I have a question I only see 2 white wires and 2 black wires on da video but mines come with 3 white wires and 3 black ones. Is there any way to help me out with this?
Rising, mine had 3 black and 3 white. I spliced all the whites together and same thing for the black. They were extra connections for the leds and halo ring. Hope this helps.
Nope. Mine only came with four splicing harness. No spade connectors and no extra length of wire. Why they didn’t simply wire the Halo to a socket so it could be plug and play is lazy.
@malikahsan1990 There is no problems using copper, we just recommend that you use the correct gauge; usually around 18-22 gauge should be fine; but also make sure that the splice connectors are big enough to tap the wires. I hope it helped, thanks and good luck.
Im not doubting the quality of any products (but I am slightly), but if a demo vid is to be made, the battery could have easily been cleaned off, and a voltmeter with a fully functioning display could have been used....
The high beams are the ones closer to the LEDs. Those LEDs will turn on depending how you wired them. If you wire them to turn on with your halos then they will be on with your halos as DRL's
@itsmeshawman Any local auto shop will have them for you. If that fails, you can go to a stero shop, however, it might be a bit more expensive there. But your local big box store will have it. Thanks for the question, good luck.
***** Every vehicle is different and the daytime running light sometimes is the same bulb as your high beam. Due to strict SAE and DOT restrictions the headlight must have a high and a low beam bulb.
If I order a pair from you can you guys do the wiring for me before you ship it? I have a 07 civic si and I'm looking to buy a pair that is on sale for 437$
+Spec D Tuning but if you made the light for the car, it should be to that cars specs right? My 95 Honda accord is a 95 Honda accord. As far as I know it comes one way headlights wise. Should have just come prewired. Telling me to simply connect some wires that should already be connected looks so stupid.
John is right; I'm weary that an "expert" will not truly comprehend the installation process and will charge me regardless if he did or didn't do it correct. "Every vehicle is different" is rather off, since I bought headlights tailored to a specific car... It's not like your equipment is universal and tailored for all.
@@Specdtuninginfo You guys could at least have the two black and two white wires already connected together out of the box to eliminate a step and why do the lights have a connector harness on the back but the video says nothing about it? You can see it hanging in the video not being used when he's putting in the light. If it doesn't need to be used then why have it on the back of the light?
Anyone whining that this is hard really shouldnt buy them or youll mess it up, since the video is pretty straight forward, any simpler and youd be finger painting. Grand Ams dont have connectors specifically for halos, hence you splice into power wires to get power to them. It really aint that hard. No one wants to work for good things anymore lol.
@@craigshelhammer5683 I just don't really know which of the lights wires I should splice into to have the led lights on all the time. The rest is pretty straight forward
@@dante6366 you just splice into your main headlight ..the one that has your regular and bright beams ,the model he had I wired it like that and it worked just fine.
@13ZenvoST1 Yes for our projector headlights they do come with bulbs and the sizes will vary upon the headlights, if ur purchasing euro headlights, please use your stock bulbs.
+The Creationman paper instructions were completely useless. Also the video they had where I bought the lights was useless cause it didn't cover all the wires on my set up. Ive watched a few videos, and im still super confused. There was a minute long video where some guy had it all hooked up and just showed that. His video told me more than all of the spec d videos combined. This shit is confusing as fuck.
+John Lichtenberg Have a link to this shorter video? I'm struggling with my install now, everything is working but the blinkers are hyper flashing and they're incandescent. doesn't make sense.
@RyanEnvy Sorry, i am unfamiliar with Anzo products. However, the first question your asking is right. There should be a ground wire. But to make sure, you should contact them and ask their customer service for more details. Second, the signal light are is missing; is because your suppose to use your stock turn signal harness and bulb. I hoped that it helped. Thanks and good luck.
@45CHI no that's why you check to see which wire has the current running through it. The wire for the blinkers only has power when you have the hazards or directionals blinking.
paul, make sure everything is grounded and everything has power. Grand am's work off a different electrical system than these lights were designed for. try switching bewteen high beams and low beams to see if the halos come on.
Crimp connectors? Electrical tape? Quick connectors?!!! You guys are insane, that is absolutely Radio Shack crap. There is no way those will stand up to heavy rains, salt spray off the roads, or even a general outside environment. These lessons were learned years ago with faulty OEM electrical systems. You guys are setting unsuspecting consumers up for failure. Get real or go out of business.
Bought some for my Jetta but they are all looks and work like complete shit! Honestly don't waste your money on these guys. The halo rings are barely visible, they use some cheap light bulbs to light up the rings. If it weren't for my 55W HIDS i installed on them they wouldn't even worth it. Not only that the light pattern that comes out of the projectors are horrible they are V-Shaped and you can not adjust the height of them. So my driver side one is shorter than my passenger side one its looks really bad from inside the car. The only good part was that the LEDS did work that where inside the headlight unit. Other than that i would not recommend these to anyone. Im just gonna wait till they kick so i can go back to my OEM ones. Also the wiring is horrific and a pain in the ass to figure out.
That blows that they are fixed and not adjustable. But I think that is normal for driver side to be shorter than the passenger side. It is so you do not blind oncoming traffic.
got some for my jetta and its plug and play how tf couldnt you figure out the wiring? Yes a 55w hid bulb is still brighter but these are def better then stock. Haven't had any issues with mine and both adjusting perfectly fine. Just sucks that the halo ring is on a switch board led vs a bulb
@chemim888 that white blue is already connected to your high beams which you do not need to tap those, the only things you need to splice is the black and white wires which you would splice together with your parking lights
@composingchef We are happy you asked. It is safer than a trial and error that can lead to more expensive problems. The parking lights are the recommended wire to tap to the car. Because the Halo rings do not require a lot of energy to have them light up. Please keep us posted if have further questions; we can go into more detail. Thank you.
So i noticed that there are two extra wires. One is black and the other is white with a black stripe. I looked up the part # that both of these lights came out of and it mentions a headlight load resistor kit. Is this necessary? And if not so I just cap the ends of the wires off?
@RyanEnvy NP. Some cars have their parking lights on first before the headlights come on (I use it for parking structures, for safety reasons; without the headlights on). Parking lights will do; or you cant splice them to a light that is constantly on with your headlight beams. The halo/LED bulb require very little power (current). Any light bulb will do. However, please check what also comes on when your headlights are on. That will be your best bet. I hope it helped, good luck.
It is possible that the 12 gauge is simply to large, but we suggest that you check the continuity and see if it is actually getting power. If not then try a 24 gauge wire.
Yeah, you should probably now check all the connections inside the headlight housing and check if all of them are correctly connected. If it still doesn't work please call our customer service team for further assistant
i followed this video and wondered why the halos werent on for my daytime lights as well as night time. my car has a daytime harness and a night harness 2 haresses going to the light so i had to wire to both, it worked but blew my daytime dash lights, i strongly suggest tapping into the fuse box, put the halos on a 10 or 20 amp fuse they will be on all the time and no power issues or issues with them only comming on with certain other lights, hope this helps for people in the same shoes
I bought your new version with the red and black wires connected to it but there's no video that shows how to connect the halos to a 99 ford ranger. Please help my 15 Amp fuse keeps blowing from the engine compartment fuse box please helps do I need a wiring harness please show in detail.
@ddp1521 yes, HID's are compatible, you just have to find the correct size bulb to fit. and what power plug were you referring to? all headlights should be essentially plug n play, so that plug should just connect to your old plug.
So have you checked if the Halos were wired correctly so that the halos would turn on? We have a installation video on how to wire halos if you haven't watched that already.
i love this video, only thing i did different is hook up my + quick connectors to my ignition wire so i can see my angel eyes with and without my headlights on
That correct H1 are lows and H3 are highs. Check to see if the bulb is seeded correctly. If they are still dim the bulb just might be bad and youll need a replacement.
Check again the connection for the bulb within the headlight housing and if that doesn't solve the problem please give our customer service team a call and they would be happy to help you with the issue.
@khmerlbckid I would personally like to thank the Cambodian Community of Long Beach for the support of our videos. I love you guys out there. Thanks so much!! (go Cherry St.)
Please give our customer service team a call and they would be happy to walk to through the steps. but once you splice the wires it would depend on when you would want your halos on, thats where you would want to splice them into.
Those are ballasts and from my knowledge all HID lights require them. Unless you are replacing a stock HID bulb aftermarket installation involves a complete kit with bulbs, ballasts and wiring harness.
@Juan52004 HI, to answer both of your questions: the headlights will come with about a pair of 8 inch red (white) and two black wires for the halo and/or LEDs. You will need to find the power source of your parking lights (bumper, or corner; but not the turn signal). Once you find the power source, you can tap the red wire to that and black to that negative. The process that you can use is the quick splice connectors. So that once you turn your parking lights on the halos will come on with them.
Well idk if I trust that splice connector so I'ma just bust out the soldering iron. I am correct in assuming that I wire the DRL to an ignition power source and the halos are wired into the headlights connector?
@@angelgaleana8467 lol I haven't installed them yet. But it's not hard. You'll need a multimeter. If you want the LEDs to work as Daytime running lights you'll need to find the positive wire that has power as soon as you turn the car on. If you want the LEDs to turn on only when your lights do you will want to find the wire that get power when you turn them on. Put the black end of the multimeter in the negative - terminal in the battery and then poke the red end + into prongs of your socket that plugs into the headlights harness. If they have power it will show it on the multimeter. You will have to do a process of elimination to figure out which one is headlights power and which one is ignition power if you want to use them as drl. (There's also videos of how to install drl on yt) You don't have to solder it comes with connectors but Ive heard mixed reviews on the lil t splitters and I have a soldering iron they and I wouldn't use electrical tape either heat shrink is super cheap and you just slip it on and run a lighter over it to shrink it. you will have to buy some 18g wire and some 18g wire connectors you can get them at Walmart or any hardware store. Hope this helps don't get to stressed out it should be easy to wire them either way. Getting them aligned base on the owners manual of your car and removing the bumper will be the more time consuming parts
@bashir4200 That's just the ones we use. You can use any crimp connectors you like. However, remember the gauge of the wire is 18-22. A smaller gauge connect might not crimp down all the way. You can use the dual end connectors if you like.
@BLAZE45 The lights are suppose to have light bulbs for all the HALO and LED opening on your projectors. You must contact whoever you purchase the Headlights from immediately and let them know so that you can get what you paid for!!
@himynameisphuc The wire you want to test is the [parking lights] wire; which comes on during the first turn (before your headlights come on) of the headlamp control module. That will be the parking lights. Tap the wires to the parking lights power. I hoped it helped, thank you and goodluck.

Hope that explains why manufacturers don’t have the wiring already tied into the OEM plug
thanks for this 👍👍 Cleared the confusion for me
So this pretty much means the extra wires arent necessary to install?
Basically what he’s saying is, if your headlights have daytime running lights, those are the perfect remote wires. But many cars don’t have these. So a separate relay harness is needed to make them function properly when the vehicle is started or you’ll have to turn on all the lights just to get the halo effect
Great post! Helped me more then this video.
thanks man! i got some new headlights for my first car (2010 corolla s) and i was so confused when i saw extra wires that werent already tied into the OEM plug
If I'd known about this shit I wouldn't have never ordered these.
Year same.
Fucking dumb right
Went they don’t do it is beyond me
Totally agree with you.
Probably looks great!
Yes this process can work for all our halo/led headlights. and it should be almost the same for other headlights also. Also yes most cars are wired the same way.
i bought some of your headlinghts for my 01 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The videos were really helpful and I'm satisfied with the installation.
How you instal them cause i cant seem to.figured it
I was gonna buy these but reading the comments noway, and it's funny that there is so many questions and they can't be decent enough to answer.
Yeah the forums are all complaining about lack of specific instructions. At this price I will pass
spec d tuning gives you little to no installation instruction !
Im having a hard time right now installing mine into 2001 Tahoe. this video sucked ass and didn't help at all.
@Kylan Watson It did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my account :D
@Beckham Emerson happy to help xD
@elaurien We always recommend that you splice the halo/LEDs into the bumper lights or running lights so that you can prolong the use of the bulb. The parking lights for example: are [usually] the lights that come on at night with your headlights. When you turn the lights one click; its your parking lights. When its two clicks then your headlights and parking lights come on together. Good luck
I am so glad you made this video using sentra... i have one so now i know EXACTLY how to wire it. THANKS
I have the smoked version and im kinda dumb I think but do you ever connect the harness?
@@guillermomejia593 don’t remember. Sold the Sentra 7 years ago. Hope you can find your answer. Maybe email them directly? ✌🏼🤞
Thanks for this video! I was able to install my new headlights with this, and I'm def not a mechanic or electrician. Most helpful!!
@dajumpoff08 We recommend connecting the halo and LED light to the car’s driving light harness. On cars with driving lights and signal lights separate, there may only be 2 wires on the harness.
that battery tho!! lol. this guy shoulda got a new battery b4 headlights. priorities tho lol
Lmao!
lmao...ikr
LOL
Right jus crak it up maayyyyN
actually as long as the battery reads 12.2-12.4v when the vehicle is off its considered good. with the engine running it should be 13.3-13.6v if the battery and alternator are good. if less than 12.2v with nothing on or running then the battery is considered low and should have consideration to have it replaced.
Good thing I read the comments before ordering....I'll stick with my basic crap headlights
Thanks for the video, just finished installing these on my 2006 Mustang. Huge difference in the look.
Anybody here 2024? 😂😂😂
Trynna install for a 2002 celica
Trynna install on e46
Omg connecting these was so easy because of this video. Thank you VERY much.
Ford F150 2002 now with Halos and HID's.
This tutorial is in fact helpful, I really appreciate the help that you guys are giving and again I apologize for saying otherwise.
be aware the headlights don't come with any of that extra male/female connector, or quick connector. Installation is much more of a hassle than it should be.
LogicisOne exactly
mine came with the quick connectors but not the male nd female connectors
@hreimer13 The halo rings came on, so the wiring is correct. But if your headlights do not come on, it is because the headlights are defective, because the projector only plugs into the headlight harness. You can check to see if the bulbs are bad, but i recommend that you ask to have the item replaced by the seller. Good luck.
Why don't you just wire them into the wires that come out of the headlight socket? You wouldn't need the extra connectors and the wires would be shorter and neater. You could pre-wire them at the factory.
Davey Hi it could blow a fuse we did that & made more probs
i find it odd that it would blow the fuse. Low beams usually pull about 55W while LEDs will pull about 35W, i wouldn't imagine these weak Halo's pulling much. Did you try wiring through the High Beam line? High Beams usually pull about 65W, maybe you could get the extra juice necessary from there without blowing fuses.
Omar Siddiqi then wouldn’t the high beams need to be on for the halos to be on ?
@@dokkaboi917 You're not going to blow a fuse, it's still connected on the same source, there's no fuse in between the OEM plug and the bulb at the back of the assembly.
Nice job. I usually don't put two males on the headlight assembly in case someone else has to work in the area. It's more difficult to cross wires that way.
Thanks for the video. My installation came out flawless
glad to hear it!
Spec D Tuning excuse I have a question I only see 2 white wires and 2 black wires on da video but mines come with 3 white wires and 3 black ones. Is there any way to help me out with this?
Spec D Tuning does it come with eveything needed when I buy the headlights or do I need to buy the extra stuff
I hope it helped, thanks and good luck.
do you have any wiring installation videos for the ford ranger? or do the same principals apply here as with the ranger?
It's so easy. The 2 wires are to lengthen the connection to the quick connectors. Then everything else is just as instructed.
So after you purchase them you have to go through all this to get them ready?
I think so
lol
Oh my god thank you so much you should see some of the other videos fudge they are horrible. Thank you again for making it so easy
Im not doubting the quality of any products (but I am slightly), but if a demo vid is to be made, the battery could have easily been cleaned off, and a voltmeter with a fully functioning display could have been used....
thanks to you guys now I know how to install my halo kit
Excellent video. I'm curious... what gauge of wires/connectors are these?
14#
The high beams are the ones closer to the LEDs. Those LEDs will turn on depending how you wired them. If you wire them to turn on with your halos then they will be on with your halos as DRL's
As an electrician, I disapprove of this video
This video helped me out a lot! I was having trouble with getting my halos working, everything works perfect now Thank you so much!
Wait so u have to do this for the halos to turn on?
My headlight caught on fire and melted
Did it really?
Oof
@itsmeshawman Any local auto shop will have them for you. If that fails, you can go to a stero shop, however, it might be a bit more expensive there. But your local big box store will have it. Thanks for the question, good luck.
Why can't they just come ready to be plugged in?
If it doesn't need to be used then why have it on the back of the light?
yes it is required if you would like the halos and LED's to light up. For the HID's you would need to ask whoever you bought them from.
Ross V I was able to do it. It’s not that hard. You are right.
Exactly...watching this so I can do my friends lights, and after reading these comments I have no idea what everyone is bitching about.
@@brandopopoca3038 tape will work..connectors or solder would be better though.I did my friends and soldered them
@@craigshelhammer5683 I just don't really know which of the lights wires I should splice into to have the led lights on all the time. The rest is pretty straight forward
@@dante6366 you just splice into your main headlight ..the one that has your regular and bright beams ,the model he had I wired it like that and it worked just fine.
Great vid mate, was unsure about the connections but now ready to install an connect lights.nice one
Does anyone know the gage size of these wires?!
You get an answer yet?
@13ZenvoST1 Yes for our projector headlights they do come with bulbs and the sizes will vary upon the headlights, if ur purchasing euro headlights, please use your stock bulbs.
Wow! O.O
Your paper instructions suck ass! I'm glad I watched the video!
Great video though! haha
@@SpaceTimeManipulatorSTM would you forward that video, please?
Check if the Headlight housing is closed all the way. If it is and is still fogging up please seal the headlight that should stop it from fogging.
homie needs a new battery
@RyanEnvy Sorry, i am unfamiliar with Anzo products. However, the first question your asking is right. There should be a ground wire. But to make sure, you should contact them and ask their customer service for more details.
Second, the signal light are is missing; is because your suppose to use your stock turn signal harness and bulb. I hoped that it helped. Thanks and good luck.
what guage wire do I need?
Avery Brown i am also wondering what gauge. I work at a car dealership and they recommend 22 but I want to be sure
@45CHI no that's why you check to see which wire has the current running through it. The wire for the blinkers only has power when you have the hazards or directionals blinking.
that's one nasty dirty battery
paul, make sure everything is grounded and everything has power.
OMG, it's my first time that i saw quick splice connectors... Gotta by them!
I agree bro. Installed it last week and already the low beam bulb is out. Money gone to waste
That blows that they are fixed and not adjustable. But I think that is normal for driver side to be shorter than the passenger side. It is so you do not blind oncoming traffic.
andrew foster Sucks to suck
got some for my jetta and its plug and play how tf couldnt you figure out the wiring?
@kosmosleha The holes that you see in the in the headlights for the pictures are for your stock turn signal. The yellow if from the OEM headlights.
That battery is in great shape bro😅
i followed this video and wondered why the halos werent on for my daytime lights as well as night time. my car has a daytime harness and a night harness 2 haresses going to the light so i had to wire to both, it worked but blew my daytime dash lights, i strongly suggest tapping into the fuse box, put the halos on a 10 or 20 amp fuse they will be on all the time and no power issues or issues with them only comming on with certain other lights,
hope this helps for people in the same shoes
I bought your new version with the red and black wires connected to it but there's no video that shows how to connect the halos to a 99 ford ranger. Please help my 15 Amp fuse keeps blowing from the engine compartment fuse box please helps do I need a wiring harness please show in detail.
@ddp1521 yes, HID's are compatible, you just have to find the correct size bulb to fit. and what power plug were you referring to? all headlights should be essentially plug n play, so that plug should just connect to your old plug.
this is for a mustang y’all, don’t come here if your headlights aren’t for this vehicle the tutorial is different.
@Gavinvox742 you are correct, that is actually the general idea of wiring halo's and LED's. To your parking lights
Thanks for the suggestions you have provided here.
@Specdtuninginfo that's what I figured at first I bought a new bulb and she works thanks. I but HIDs in too they look so sick great lights
great video. it has helped me out alot with the wiring process
Did it work please I need help I been so confused for 5 hours what do I solder where
@@angelgaleana8467 lol I haven't installed them yet.
You could get the quick connectors at any auto zone, and the wires they come different sizes so between 18 gauge - 20 gauge
I finally got my headlights connected and all the lights working on my 94 accord! Took me awhile but i had to do some rewiring alil
Thanks Spec-D Tuning!
I did all that you guys said and now my 1997 Acura Integra has halo projector headlights installed.
