    To install these headlights was there any trimming done?

  • @MonkeySharkFilms
    @MonkeySharkFilms 8 лет назад +7

    All these installs never show what to do with the two adapter type cables they give you, does anyone know what they are for? You showed them in the video but never used them?

    • @Realtruck
      @Realtruck  8 лет назад +6

      MonkeySharkFilms apologies. They were not needed on this truck. They are to plug the new light into the factory OE harness. The blue end attaches to the OE harness and the other to the new light plug. I am having this same issue. I’m thinking it’s for a resistor kit? Really struggling with this part of the install.

  • @stephensteinhauer3346

    I would change those splice connectors to the type that have a female blade connector. Then put a male blade connector on the new wires. Removing the headlight assembly would be simple unplug, instead of trying to open a connector, or cutting wires.

      Travis,
      According to the instructions these do show to come with the blue wire connectors.

      J&R Contracting no. Just remove the old ones and install the new ones. If you have any other questions about this or would like more info on this item or any of the other 500000 plus accessories we sell and would like to speak to a person

    These where on my truck when I bought it and now I have a low beam on the driver side that quit working how do I go about changing the bulb? Or would it be something else? High beam still works

    • @Realtruck
      @Realtruck  2 года назад

      Hey Geoffrey, the rubber boots on the back side of the housing is what covers the bulbs. You will need to remove the rubber boot to replace the bulb. Depending on how much room you have to work with in the engine compartment, this may require removing the lamp from the truck. Hope that helps!

    I'm having a horrible time adjusting these. Any ideas I'm not sure what to adjust

    • @Realtruck
      @Realtruck  7 лет назад +1

      Spec-D would be the best option for any adjustments. I know with projectors you are not able to adjust just the normal setting but you have to adjust the inside as well. They should be able to walk you through everything, though. Their number is 909-839-2533.

    Do you sell the LEDs for the LED strip? My spec- D DRL DRL went out. They seem to be T10s but I plugged some in and didn't work. I don't know if it's because of the wattage or the resistor not letting enough power to get to new T10s

    • @Realtruck
      @Realtruck  7 лет назад

      Unfortunately, we do not have the LED's that go into the strip. You would really need to contact the manufacturer to ensure you get the proper set up.

    • @kasken719
      @kasken719 4 года назад +1

      Make sure you splice them into the brown middle wire on your light connector. White is for the turn signal and black is your ground.

      @@kasken719 ok I'm confused because the instructions say connect white to white and splice it to the power on headlight wire, so I have to go back then.... thanks

      @@demetrilee5246 Yeah man. I did the same thing. I ended up using a multimeter to find out which is which. I didn't want the leds flashing with my blinker. Also check your ground. I ended up having to ground the hole system because it's an old truck.

    Nice looking install but buyer beware . . these lights do not come with ANY instructions on how to adjust them. After looking them over closely, I am not doing the install but returning them for a better made set of projector headlamps that you CAN adjust.
