Healing Patellar Tendon Tear with PRP

  • This was an interesting case, where our physical exam didn't elicit that the patellar tendon was involved in the patient's pain, but there was a small tear found under ultrasound imaging during our procedure. Several things from this - first, we have to understand that the physical exam is not perfect, and can sometimes miss things; second we need to understand that tears and structural changes aren't always painful so sometimes they aren't overly important. But, for this patient I believe the tear was important due to recreated some familiar pain during the injection of the patellar tendon.

    I have a tare on my patellar tendon I went to the doctor they have a brace some of swollen went down I'm waking on with with crutches however I can't lift my leg up from my knee I can move it back but not forward do you think I need to go see orthopedic

      How long post op are you? I'm 6 weeks post op. I can lift my leg & extend farward but it's very weak atm.

    I have patella tendonitis for one year tried collagen/omega 3/ magnesium/ pain killer / ice hot pack / anti inflammation tablets / physiotherapy ultra sound .. laser/ patella braces / visited more than 6 doctos ) .... and the pain still alive .... 💔💔💔💔 ..... and the last doctor tried to convince me for cortisone shot ... but I didn't accept

      last check in with the patient, the patient was approximately 60-70% improved.
