Dr. Timmermans, go to Regenexx and get PRP and/or stem cells, and/or platelet lysate. Platelet lysate can cause the body to eat away at the protruding disc.

There's a Regenexx clinic near me - have you had good luck with them? I've read that some places don't do PRP properly... Does Regenexx use the proper preparation of it?

@@Mike-dt1yg I dunno, hard to say. There's no denying the PRP works like a dream for 6 months.
I injured my hallux, and only did PRP at Regenexx for it, and it wasn't even a good provider, no anesthesia, so I was screaming and he could only inject on the top and bottom and not the side. Still, it always rebounds back even if it hurts sometimes, 2 years on. Whereas my ankle has been screwy, but I've gotten 2 surgeries on it, which I think is the problem.
Recently got PRP on the ankle (again, have had surgery on it twice already), and for 6 months I was amazing. But recently all I did was stretch my calf (you know, like deliberately, calf stretches), and my ankle blew up, and has been aggravated for 2 weeks, only dying down after taking 2 multiple-day courses of meloxicam.
But my plan is to get the stem cell procedure oon my ankle twice, besides getting an arthroscopy just to get out this one large bump of scar tissue. Surely 2 of their stem cell procedures should do it, at least for like 5 years.
I don't know about individual providers, who may be screwing up the process, but nobody does it like Regenexx. 10 vials of blood minimum, completely pure PRP without a single white blood cell or red blood cell, plus they crack the platelets with infrared light first. Their stem cell procedure is is similarly refined, plus with the clever addition of starting with prolotherapy 2 days before the stem cell/PRP mix to turn on cell signaling for repair.
If Regenexx can't help me, then no one can. Either I'd be looking at fusion of joints long term, and/or for the near future just the cheaper PRP shots for symptoms
It really seems to be most effective if yiou do it early and in lieu of surgery. Surgery will almost always weaken the tissues long term.

@@edwinamirsaleh15 any chance you can write it again? I'm desperate for relief from this tendonitis and apparently not all places so PRP properly, but Regenexx says they do.

I'm a physician who treats patients with PRP, stem cell therapy, A2M, platelet lysate, etc. I'm not sure why I would go to Regenexx

Do we know if alcohol can affect prp? Thx

alcohol doesn't do anything positive for healing, so we view it at something that hinders healing from PRP

Dr. Timmerman, I’m thinking about getting stem cell therapy for my Adhesive Arachnoiditis. The Dr that practices here in Tn tells me he’s treated 2 other patients and it didn’t take the pain completely away bc of the disease itself. It’s a very hard thing to treat. I’m in the middle of middle of getting newer MRIs but I’m unable to do the conventional ones. I’m going to b doing the sitting MRI lumbar & cervical area. My problem is paying for this very expensive treatment. It costs more than I make in a year on disability. I truly don’t know how ppl can afford this. It’s such a shame. I Ty for sharing your journey with stem cell treatments. JM

Dr. Timmerman, have you had success treating moderate hip arthritis with Stem and PRP? I've had injections of both at 6 months apart and have gotten about 40% pain relief after two months time from each injection but it doesnt seem to last. Just curious if I need to continue these treatments and if MSC stem injections could truly regrow quality cartilage? So much differing information out there. My Ortho Dr says based on my x-rays he cannot believe that I am not in excrutiating pain. He obviously want to do a full hip replacement, but i am trying to see if its possible to heal it on my own. I am a very active and healthy 50 year old man that eats a clean anti-inflammatory diet. Thanks for your help and all of the informative videos!

Yes we have had really great success with our approaches. I can't comment on what you should do unless you were my patient though. If you're interested in hearing more about our approaches of hip OA, reach out to my clinic regenerativeperformance.com
