No one is vicious towards him, you use that as a tidbit N.T. told you people would do. You obviously do not read your Bible cover to cover and take it as it speaks for itself. N.T. does not believe it is Gods word and reinterprets it to fit his false narratives. Until you read it thoroughly yourself you leave yourself open to false teachers.

Jesus taught He could come at any time so we,the church, should be sober and alert, keeping watch over the signs that He taught in the gospels. This is the doctrine of imminency. And the apostles also taught this in the epistles. Matt.24:43,1 Thess.5:2, 2 Peter 3:10. Jesus can come like "a thief in the night". Jesus also commanded us to keep watch over all the signs of His coming in Matt.24. It wasn't a suggestion,it is an instruction. It wasn't just to know when the "season"was upon us,and who "the generation" that sees "ALL these things" ,will be. Matt.25,the parables being taught, are post text to Matt.24. WHY should we watch over the signs of His coming? If we know when that time is,with certainty, why keep watch? In a post rib view, there is no imminency. Why,because the number of days is specifically mentioned in Daniel12: 11 “And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. 12 Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days. This is confirmed in Rev.13:5. Now,Jesus directly referred to the "abomination"in Daniel. There is no Jesus can return at any time,so we have to keep watch and be ready,in post trib. All we have to do is wait for the Antichrist to enter the temple and perpetrate the abomination, and the countdown begins. 1335 days when the "abomination"takes place, and the daily sacrifices are abolished, and the Messiah, who is Jesus,RETURNS to set up His kingdom reign. There's no arguing this,it's right there plain as day. Jesus directly quoted this verse in Daniel 12. Do you think the Jews didn't know the prophecies of Daniel? Of course they all did,why would Jesus quote Daniel 12 in the first place? So WHY would Jesus teach that He could come at any time? WHY should we "be sober and alert, keeping watch over the signs of His coming, explain that? Because Jesus is contradicting O.T. prophecies about the Messiah coming.
In Matt.24,refers to the days of Noah, giving us a context for what it will be like when He comes. When Jesus teaches this,it has nothing to do with what happened to Noah. It has everything to do with how people were living in these days. Jesus taught this in Matt.24:Matt.24:38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, SO ALSO WILL THE COMING of the Son of Man be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.(that's the rapture, before the tribulation begins) 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. In Luke 17, 35,36,"One is taken (not killed). In the original Greek, from para lambano, to receive from,. The other left, from apo hiemi, left alone, sent away. Also not necessarily killed. One is received,or taken, one is left behind. Now this is an important little detail..Luke 17:37,The apostles ask "WHERE" when Jesus says they were taken,or received(unto someone). WHERE were they taken? Jesus doesn't answer where. For those who say this has to do with the invasion of Jerusalem, when Titus destroyed the temple, they're wrong. Josephus, who was a historian, and an eyewitness to the invasion by Titus,in 70 A.D. describes the events that happened. And they don't line up with what Jesus prophesied. Study the record for yourself, you'll see what really happened.
Now according to O.T. prophecy about the Messiah, was he supposed to leave, and then come back? No.In fact, alot of what Jesus was teaching just didn't make sense to them. So Luke 17:35 makes sense. You can see why the apostles ask Jesus "WHERE" are they taken! According to what the Jews knew from O.T. prophecy, the Messiah wasn't supposed to go anywhere. He was supposed to destroy Israel's enemies and set up God's kingdom rule and reign. This is "the Day Of The Lord',that all Jews in Jesus time were already aware of,prophesied many times. The Day Of The Lord is described in these prophecies, and Jesus does mention them in the Olivet discourse,in Matt 24:29-31. If this isn't the rapture, before the Tribulation, then what it is? Tell me,what's going on.
Do you really believe that people will living business as usual, all through the tribulation until the end? And all the while, not knowing that judgment has fallen on them? But there's no food, and billions upon billions are dying, What are they eating? Who are they planning to get married to?
Here's another contradiction to what Jesus taught in Matt.24.
Rev.6:12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. 13 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. 14 Then the sky [i]receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. 15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, ]the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, 16 and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”
See that? These people ARE AWARE that God's judgment is upon them, and they're terrified! And this is just the beginning of the tribulation period. Jesus taught He would return just BEFORE the judgment comes, and this has to be PRE Trib.
In Matt.25, the ten bridesmaids, that represent the churches. I see "because the groom was delayed in coming,,they ALL grew weary, and fell asleep". The church falls asleep, through the whole tribulation? Rev Rev.13,the Antichrist is killing all the saints, and somehow, the Christians are all asleep, unaware what's happening?! That's absurd! Tell me you believe these things are possible? Now,this wouldn't make sense to those listening would it? Jesus already quoted Daniel 12 about the abomination. Why did Jesus teach this? You see,it's only a PreTrib rapture that can unexpectedly. What Jesus is referring to in Daniel is "the Day Of The Lord", when the Messiah comes to judge the earth, destroy Israels enemies, and begins His thousand year reign. The rapture IS NOT Jesus coming to Earth,it's the church leaving the earth. Jesus also refers to prophecies about "the day of the lord"in Matt.24. Which had to cause everyone to be more confused. Only the rapture, before the tribulation, can happen unexpectedly. Otherwise what Jesus taught in the Olivet discourse was contradicting O.T. prophecies about the Messiah returning. There are many prophecies in the O.T about the Day of the Lord, which comes at the end of the tribulation. And the first thing your're taught in Biblical exegesis and hermeneutics is that if you come across a verse that directly contradicts your theological view,it must be wrong. You have to change your view. Those are the rules for sound doctrine.

Rapture is a misreading of Matt 24:37-40. Evangelicals don't read scripture contextually so they ignore context here.
the Trib happened when Rome destroyed Jerusalem in 70Ad. It was a 3.5 year period under Nero as the "man of sin and lawlessness". Nero was the Beast. The Mark of the Beast was allegiance to Ceasar. Right hand and forehead is a Deuteronomy 6:8 term. The whore of Babylon was the Sanhedrin in cahoots with Rome.
All OT reference to New heavens and new earth and new Israel/Judah/Jerusalem was talking about the new Church age and Church its self. Romans 11 shows us how salvation left the jews due to their rejection and came to the world. the gentile world is the branch grafted in.
The only thing ahead is a global revival of most of the planet coming to Christ as one church body in faith in Christ alone before the end. Habakkuk 2:14, Isaiah 101:9. Its a wheat field, not a tear field. Then the final second coming and judgment.

From what I've seen and heard over the last 50 years as a born-again believer, it seems to me that way too many of us are arguing, debating, writing books, and worrying about Pre-Trib, Mid-Trib, Post-Trib Rapture. Jesus plainly and unequivocally tells us He will show up when we have no advance notice, and to be living in a manner pleasing to God. Even if I can successfully make a case for a "correct" Rapture doctrine, how does that draw me closer to Him if I die riding my motorcycle before He returns ?

    • @leefury7
      @leefury7 7 месяцев назад +16

Jesus specifically said that the "hour" and the "day" are unknown, NOT the "season." He chided the religious leaders for not knowing the season of His first advent. Mt 24, etc., provides enough detail for the believer to discern the "season"/"age." Daniel's 70th week has never been fulfilled, therefore it is still a future event. Two notable details are a historic increase in #1 knowledge and #2 travel. Couple that with Rev detailing the death of the two witnesses, two other things are revealed. #1 the entire globe will be able to witness their death and #2 there will be a capacity for the global population to send presents to one another. For the first in history since the ascension of Christ Jesus, we have the capacity to do those things. Prior to the pandemic shutdown, over a billion people traveled by air. With the advent of the cell phone, a global bank of knowledge is at the user's finger tips. The cell phone also provides a vehicle by which the world could visually witness an event and via Amason, send presents to one another.
Of course all this hinges on the premise of reading scripture normally. i.e. the historical/grammatic hermeneutic. Not by the relativistic allegorical methodology introduced by Origen and popularized by Augustine/RCC. There is a reason why the writing of both the OT and NT was in the common tongue. Daniel, for instance parenthetically slips into the common tongue of Babylon during Israel's captivity instead of Hebrew.
The truth is, ALL theological systems are dispensational, it's just a matter of how those dispensations are distinguished.
One final thing is to note what the angels state to the disciples as they continue to look up at Christ's ascension. . Their detail does not align with the rest of scripture's detail as to the 2nd Advent. The angel spoke to believers, not to unbelievers. To Paul was given the "mystery" of the Church. You will not find it in the gospels while the kingdom offer was made to Israel. "As in the days of Noah" also separates the rapture of the church from the 2nd Advent in the "snatching" away of the *unbelievers.*.
I have been a formally trained theologian for 60+ yrs. I have never heard a mature brother who was a dispensationalist demeaning his non-dispensational brother, something that can't be said about theologians who speak against dispensationalism. Even John Gerstner was quite harsh in his criticism. NT Wright, like Gerstner, mischaracterizes and most shocking of all, misunderstands what the basics of dispensationalism actually teach. Really the primary distinction concerns national Israel. We dispensationalists hold to Israel being distinct from the Church. All but the Mosaic covenant made with Israel were unconditional. i.e. the Church has NOT replaced Israel. And today we are seeing, before the watching world, that Israel is still very much in the plan of God.

You are absolutely wrong in both spirit and letter. If it was not important to know when these things will be, then why did the Lord not chide the disciples for asking, "Tell us, when shall these things be?" instead, expended the next 48 verses to explain these very things? And why did the Spirit repeat them in Luke 21 and Mk 13?
The truth can be known, and must be known -- read 1Th 5:1-5 -- especially, as the days draw so near, they are touching your noses. Suffice to say, the last week-of-years -- as Daniel would say -- or simply last 7 years of these age, leading to the Jesus 1000 years rule on earth could easily begin in 2024. We have been taught all through the Word to expect persecution...the world hated Jesus, they will hate us, and many now add "standing up for Jesus even unto death" in the water baptism confession! I agree 100%. Within the past three years I left the organized church. I got tired of hearing the dogma from the pulpit, things that the Bible did not say but pastors keep regurgitating it. "live my life of faith free to think and reason for my self " I think what set my wheels in motion was during the pandemic I was living in a hospital with my wife, a Leukemia patient. I had a lot of time on my hands and started listening to Hebrew/Greek and Aramaic translation of words and those words did not match what came out of the preacher's mouth. Now I look and it appears / seems that my evangelical friends are part of a cult. A cult that craves power over the people and less about the love that is supposed to come from them.

@@urdrwho1 Interesting. There are non-Christian organizations and governments and such that "crave" power over the people. Even universities do this! (I used to teach at some.)
I suppose that every place where there are people, some will want to rule over the others. The question then becomes, where is there more opportunity for having different opinions? Where is there less rule? With the variety of views of the Bible, that affords plenty of opportunity for a free thinker to consider a number of options, to read the Bible themselves, and to come up with their own reasoning.
Other places/organizations/governments/etc. don't necessarily do this or allow for this. Try going against a totalitarian government, or try speaking up against today's American culture. Why are opinions "canceled" from social media? It's because some people (the social media higher-ups) are exerting power over others. Why do universities cancel speakers who go against the views of the leaders? There's no free speech in that. As a matter of fact, it prevents students from being exposed to opposing views such that the students CAN think for themselves without being indoctrinated by the "mainstream" view!
What you're hearing as dogma might just be one man's opinion or view of the topic. If you reason for yourself and come to a conclusion, will that not be your own dogma? Thinking that that's the way it is because that's what you thought about and reasoned it out to be? If you've found a preacher who's preaching incorrectly, then you can avoid that preacher, or forgive him/her for this one offense, if it's not a regular thing with that person.
Just because five people say wrong things, this doesn't mean that some other five people can't be saying right things.
If you know that love is what Christians should be showing, are you yourself showing the love of Jesus? Or are you complaining that they aren't loving while you yourself are not loving? (I don't know you, so I don't know the answer to that.) If you know that love is the right way to go, well... Why would you think that way? It's what the Bible tells us, so you agree with the Bible. Are you, then, submitted to Jesus Christ as your Lord? He loves you perfectly. It would be foolish to reject perfect love, right? You can submit to Jesus and let Him grow you in His love, and you can grow in His love and spread this love that you say should be there. It's just that we can't spread His perfect love without having Him, since He's the source of perfect love.

A quick one and one that covers many would be, to preach by making points that hover above the text and are not rooted in the text. In other words "their opinion".
If you think it is scriptural for a preacher to have 4 or 5 private jets, live in 20,000 square foot homes, while people in the pews can't pay their rent and preach on the tithe or else bad things will happen, then ok for you.
Once you start (I'm into three years now) learning to read the actual Aramaic, Hebrew and Greek it becomes clear that there have been manipulations of men that has been done for power, greed, whatever but it is there. Even the Bible warns to beware of the scribes. "Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts; Which devour widows' houses."

No,the falling away, apostacy,is already taking place.

@@commonsensebeliever6723 I've been teaching this prophecy in Daniel 11 for over forty years now.Back then,my friends thought I was nuts. Even fifteen years ago, friends would be concerned if I brought up the Antichrist and Second beast of Rev.13 and 17 ,both being non human, where the Antichrist could be a Nephilim (without a soul),and the second beast being a fallen angel posing as an alien.
Here's the prophecy in the BIBLE that needs to be taught. ,Daniel 11:36 “Then the king shall do according to his own will: he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished; for what has been determined shall be done. 37 He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall exalt himself above them all. 38 But in their place he shall honor a god of fortresses; and a god which his fathers did not know he shall honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and pleasant things. 39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain.
Look at this carefully. The "king"is the Antichrist. This prophecy is about the last kingdom on Earth, before Jesus comes. Who is the second figure here? An "unkown"god,a god of fortresses (forces),a "FOREIGN"god! That word in the Hebrew is alien! This is a fallen angel. Who empowers the Antichrist and is able to subdue the mightiest weapons of war on the Earth. Bible prophecy must harmonize. These two figures must be the two "beast"of the book of Revelation chapter's13,and 17.
The great alien deception is already being promoted. Even on the mainstream news now, check the news out right now! These aren't aliens.Their fallen angels and demons who can shapeshift. And the "nephilim",angel/human hybrids, are already here on the Earth.
If you've studied and researches the U.S. military's encounter's with UFO's,you'd know these so called aliens can take over our most sophisticated defense systems, and the computers that control them. This "foreign god" can subdue or attack the mightiest fortresses on the Earth. So an "alien" is going to empower the Antichrist and rule in this "beast gov't" coming soon.
Daniel 2:40 And the fourth kingdom shall be as strong as iron, inasmuch as iron breaks in pieces and shatters everything; and like iron that crushes, that kingdom will break in pieces and crush all the others. 41 Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay. 42 And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. 43 As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay.
Notice "they"will mingle with the seed of men"? Who are they? Everyone in this last kingdom of the Antichrist? Or just the beast and the rules? Who knows for sure. BUT,"THEY" are not of the "seed of men"! Get it?
"They"are not completely human. Why do you think they're referred to as "beast" in Revelation?
Now do the research and see what's in this mRna nanotechnology, that changes our human DNA. This is what 'they"put in the vaccine that was forced unto the world!
Another interesting thing in the Hebrew manuscript of Daniel 2 is the term "ceramic clay". Or "potters clay". This isn't regular clay. What is ceramic or potters clay? It has sand in it. What is sand? Silica. Where we get silicon from. Microchips are made of silicon and metal. Now remember,it's this "foreign god",a so called alien that's really a fallen angel, that forces everyone to worship "the image of the (first)beast, and forces the "mark of the beast"on everyone. But the Antichrist will not emerge and rule until this "alien god" is also revealed. But Antichrist can be a genetically engineered hybrid with mixed human DNA! Do further research and see how nanobots can create a bio organic database inside of you,via vaccine, and computers can monitor every body function, including your brainwaves (thoughts). And with an AI program, they can place thoughts in your head, without you being aware! You think these thought are your own! Not only thoughts, but false memories, and dreams as well. If patents exist for this technology, and it does, this proves it's not a conspiracy theory. This nanotechnology can interact with 5g,wirelessly, and was found in certain vax samples. So,it's being used and experimented with on a mass scale now.
Genesis 6:4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days-and also afterward-when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.See "and also afterwards". They survived the flood of Noah. Now do the research and see what the women who were abducted by aliens claim. And the hybrid babies they were impregnated with and gave birth to. "They will mingle themselves with the seed of men"?!!!
Rev.13:13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. It's this "foreign god",the second beast, that makes everyone take the mark, and worship the first beast. The Rapture is coming soon, and then the Antichrist will be revealed! And "THEY" are setting up this world for this powerful delusion.
Paul taught that in Thessalonians. Because they rejected the truth,God gives to a powerful delusion. 2 Thess.2:9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the LIE, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the LIE 12
Now notice this. It's "the LIE",singular, not lies plural. Paul states this twice,ok?
It's one main idea that is at the deception the world is given over to.
      And what is it?
It's been promoted on the Ancient Aliens show for many years now.
it's what these "aliens"are telling people. There is no God.That aliens came here in ancient times and modified the DNA of humans to create modern man.

*3* There's n/body to repopulate the earth if He only comes then, for we're all "changed".

@@Kman. There is no secret rapture like in the "Left Behind" series and no third return of Christ sometime after that. If you are taken up at the second coming, you are not saved, but going to Hell! "The end of the age" is the final Judgement or "Pre Wrath of God.". The Pre-trib rapture teaching began in 1827 by a Baptist minister named Darby. We see no pre-trib rapture teaching historically anywhere from the early church until Darby, nor is it anywhere in scripture. There is one second coming of Christ, and he comes as The Righteous Judge (what Jews were expecting the first time) to rule and reign, as will we. @@Kman. Actually, no one ever comes to believe in dispensationalism or a "pre-trib" rapture by simply reading the Bible IN CONTEXT. This false teaching from 1827 is built on false assumptions that are just not there and don't make sense with the rest of scripture, especially Jesus' parables. The parable of the 10 virgins is a warning about being ready and enduring the Tribulation. Jesus is "coming as a thief in the night" to those not ready and not saved. When Christ returns, "people will be eating and drinking as in the days of Noah" is again about those not saved and not ready, but Noah knew God and was prepared! Our brethren have been enduring persecution torture, and death since Jesus came. They hated Jesus; they will hate us! Fall in love with Jesus; he is the Beloved, and we are His. I would like to also point out- these guys make a point about how not even the disciples knew about Christ's death, burial and resurrection to come. This should beg the question, then what exactly was the "gospel" message they were goin around preaching? It was the gospel of the Kingdom, when Christ will rule on earth, King of kings and Lord of lords. So...how many ppl are preaching this gospel?

So a post trib rapture doesn't male sense if God is good and just. The problem in the 2nd century was they knew of the doctrine of separation where ppl of like believe that one must deny themselves pleasure congregate. They thought they needed to keep themselves apart from the ppl who where not of their religion. But how can you be separate and preach the gospel of the kingdom. For the Jews at the end they will lose that restriction as the new covenant starts and then go preach the kingdom is here, the King is here. They will need the faith of a mustard seed to command things to happen.

But for now, despite all the confusion thrown into the discussion, it seems that Jesus made us a promise, and it's up to us to either believe Him or not.

Paul new exactly when the wrath was and how long. Rev 6:17 DAY. Rm2:5 DAY. Zeph 1:15,18 DAY. NOT 3 1/2 years nor 7 years. Unlike pre-tribers who say they believe Jesus. I have actually studied what he taught. Jn6:39-40,44,54 Jesus said he would raise (Resurrect) believers on the LAST DAY. Then Jn12:48 Jesus said the unbelievers would be JUDGED in the LAST DAY. So, do Paul and Jesus agree? Of course, they do. Even Peter agrees with them both. 2Pt 3:10 When the Lord returns as a THIEF (One-time) it's OVER. This in NO WAY takes my BLESSED HOPE a way.

In Revelation the saints are told to persevere, to not take the Mark of the Beast and that they will be overcome by the beast for a time. Saints are told that they could be beheaded for the name of Christ and that those who come through the tribulation will reign with Christ for 1000 years.

I started to realize this view of the Bible about 6 years ago.
Genesis says the sun, moon and stars are for signs and seasons. In other words, the keeping of time. Every culture from its beginning starts to count their existence in years from their own calendar. When the Bible says that a culture, nation or empire will see the sun blackened, the moon not give its light and the stars fall, it means their calendar is being ended. Their time is over. I gathered that just by reading the text as it was written and wondered what it might have meant to the people who first received it.

The rapture (gathering) of Believers is at the end of the 7000 years i.e. on the last day . Exactly what is revealed in Job 14:12-14 > So "man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more", they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep. O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me! If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, "till my change come"
Note - This corresponds to what is revealed by Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:51-54 > Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but "we shall all be changed," In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and "we shall be changed".
For "this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality."
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
Revelation 20:14 > And Death and Hell were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death.
Note - When is Death swallowed up in victory - at the end of time when it is cast into the Lake of Fire.
1 Corinthians 15:24-28 > Then cometh the end, when He (Christ) shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign, till He hath put all enemies under His feet. "The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death". For HE hath put all things under His feet. But when HE saith all things are put under Him, "it is manifest that HE is excepted, which did put all things under Him". And when all things shall be subdued unto Him, then shall the Son also Himself be subject unto HIM that put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.
Note - Christ's 2nd coming is to establish the thousand year reign from Jerusalem after the gathering of the Jews from the four corners of the Earth but also includes the horrors of Zechariah 13 & 14.
Zachariah 13:8 -9 > And it shall come to pass, that in all the land [Israel] , saith the Lord, "two parts therein shall be cut off and die"; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on My name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is My people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.
Note - in the verses above, the "two parts therein" shall be cut off and die" refers to those that accept the mark of the beast and therefore God's wrath will befall them as stated in Revelation 14:9-10 > ... If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
Zechariah 14: 2-3 > Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when HE fought in the day of battle.
Note - The real wrath of God that Believers are spared from is given below.
Thessalonians 1:8-10 > In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power; When He shall come to be glorified in His saints,
Note - It's amazing that teachers covet that which is promised to the Jews of Old Testament times - i.e. the thousand year reign of Christ through Israel starting at the end of 6000 years from Creation.
They teach that the church (body of Christ) will be protected and excluded from the time of great tribulation while the Jews and Israel will be in the thick and centre of it as informed in Zechariah verses above.
Finally, they claim that the Church (body of Christ) is also the bride of Christ even though Scripture is emphatic that Jerusalem (the Land) is the bride of Christ (the Word in the flesh) as prophesied in Hosea and Isaiah and finally confirmed in Revelation 21:1-2.
Hosea 2:16-20 > And it shall be at that day, saith the Lord, that thou shalt call ME Ishi; and shalt call ME no more Baali. For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name. And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely. And I will betroth thee unto ME for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto ME in righteousness, and in judgment, and in loving kindness, and in mercies. I will even betroth thee unto ME in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the Lord.
Isaiah 54:5-8 > For thy (Israel) Maker is thine husband ; The Lord of hosts is HIS name ; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel ; The God of the whole earth shall HE be called. For the Lord hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God. For a small moment have I forsaken thee ; but with great mercies will I gather thee. In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment ; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer.
Jeremiah 2:2 > Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the Lord; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals [after God had chosen her as HIS wife or bride], when thou wentest after [followed] ME in the wilderness, in "a land" that was not sown.
Isaiah 62:4 > Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken, neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate; but thou shalt be called Hephzibah and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and "thy land shall be married."
Revelation 21:1-3 > And I saw a New Heaven and a New Earth: for the First heaven and the First earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of Heaven, "prepared as a bride" adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of Heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and "HE will dwell with them [Believers], and they shall be HIS people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.

I have tons of questions including 1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. And 1st Corinthians 15:51Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed--52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. And Matthew 24 later part of verse 3 -"and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” He would have to answer those questions for me first.

The Thousand Year Reign is the Church Age. We are in it right now. It's not a literal thousand years, unless you want to consider the fact that Christendom was united under one banner (of Orthodoxy) for almost exactly one thousand years, the first millennium after Christ's Ascension, until 1054 AD when Rome apostatized and the Church became splintered. It was this event that led to the heresies of Roman Catholicism and eventually Protestantism and the post-Christian Modern Age in the West. We are now witnessing the demise of sound (Orthodox) teaching and worship, and all manner of corruption, sin, and idolatry are coming back, whereas in the first thousand years of Christendom, virtue and knowledge of God flourished. Has Satan now been "let loose" for a little while before Christ's glorious Appearing? Something to consider, perhaps.

I like some of NT’s work including his well-needed critique of the subtlety of the 'dispensationalist' scheme which comes in Christian garb, particularly the dual-covenant theology and its variants used as a backdoor for keeping the Sinai covenant/law/priesthood in cooperation/compromise with the rabis who anticipate 'Elijah' to renew (imitated by the second beast of Rev 13) and contrary to the oneness of Christ's body of all believers Jew and Gentile in the promises and inheritance per Jn 1.12-13; Gal 3.7,29; Eph 2.12-19, 4.4-6; Ezk 47.22-23, but he seems to miss the cyclical nature of prophetic utterances (what happened before happens again as Solomon said) and apocalyptic language having multi-faceted applications - for instance he rightly pointed out Jeremiah’s use of tohu v’bohu was used metaphorically but the metaphor is based on something real (the primordial state of the world before God’s order) but doesn’t extend this idea to Isaiah 13 that while it explains the sociopolitical overthrow it uses cosmic language for a reason that extends to end time Babylon (or Mystery Babylon, the "great city" where the Lord was crucified also called spiritual S0dom and Egypt per Rev 11.8, 17.5,18; Rev 18.24, Mat 23.37) under similar circumstances with signs in the heavens including the coming of the Son of Man in glory which every eye will see, to set up His kingdom on earth. Peter explains further using non-apocalyptic prose bearing astronomical events that while used as signs also point toward something real. It’s not one or the other, it’s both. This is the timeless spiritual quality of God's prophetic word and use of signs that still teach through foreshadows, patterns and typologies even if already fulfilled or ended.

The great city where the Lord was crucified is called Mystery Babylon (also S0dom and Egypt) at the end of the age ruling over the kings and great merchants (billionaires) of the earth:
_And their dead bodies will lie on the street of _*_THE GREAT CITY_*_ which spiritually is called S0dom and Egypt, WHERE ALSO THEIR LORD WAS CRUCIFIED._ (Rev 11.8)
_The woman [Babylon per 17.5] whom you saw is _*_THE GREAT CITY_*_ which reigns over the kings of the earth._ (Rev 17.18)
_”And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints and of all who have been slain on the earth/land.”_ (Rev 18.24)
_”Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her!”_ (Mat 23.37)
_for your [Babylon’s] merchants were the great men of the earth, for all the nations were deceived by your “PHARMAKEIA”_ (Rev 18.23)
Is it a coincidence in Revelation the harlot comes riding on a red beast in the wilderness (the Temple Institute in Jerusalem is preparing a red heifer sacrifice to bring back the temple ministry, which in Torah was prescribed to be carried out in the wilderness/outside the camp like at Mt Olives) and dressed in the colors and jewels describing the high priestly garment from Exodus 28.4-11? Or that Zechariah 12.2 describes Jerusalem as a cup of reeling, echoing language and imagery from Jeremiah 51.7 used to describe Babylon?

The Babylonian Talmud and the Midrash discuss the idea that the Gentiles will keep torah law (613 commandments) when their ‘messiah’ comes, as in convert to Judaism. This is predicted in Rev 13 with the mark/name of the antichrist imitating the torah about receiving the name of the Lord upon entering the Sinai covenant (in defiance of the New Covenant).
_In the Bible the only usage of the phrases “in the hand” and “in the foreheads” are all in the Law of Moses and refer to keeping the commandments, statutes, judgments and holy seasons or days given to Israelites in the time of Moses. The first reference is Exodus 13:9 where it states the Days of Unleavened Bread associated with the Passover were given “for a sign unto you upon your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes [in the forehead].”_
_The word “sign” in the above verse is translated “mark” in its second occurrence in the Bible and it refers to the “mark” given to Cain (Genesis 4:15). The biblical definition of the “mark” (or “sign”) in the hand and forehead is associated with holy days on the Mosaic calendar. The next usage refers to the commandments, statutes and judgments that the Israelites were to perform when they entered the land of Canaan._
_“You shall bind them for a sign [or mark] upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes [in the forehead].” Deuteronomy 6:8_
_The third reference is similar to this and is given in Deuteronomy 11:18. The weekly Sabbath is described as such a “sign” (or MARK) in Exodus 31:12-17._
_If we let the Bible interpret the Bible then the MARK (or sign) in the hand and in the forehead of Revelation 13:16-17 refers to the keeping of the Mosaic legislation - its holy day system and regulations for the people of Israel in the land of Canaan. And this is what the Antichrist will subject the world to when he commences his reign in Jerusalem just before the true Second Advent. He will display to the world his supposed divinity, the world will accept it, he will sit himself with great ceremony in the temple at Jerusalem, and then proclaim himself the true divinity come from heaven to reside among men (2 Thessalonians 2:4)._

Actually, the rapture is in the Bible in Revelation 11:12. The two witnesses are called up. They are described as candlesticks in verse 4. Candlesticks in Revelation are churches (Rev 1:20, 3 and 4). There is no other application for the word in Revelation. Therefore the witnesses represent churches that have the spiritual conditions of Smyrna and Philadelphia, the only two churches that receive no correction from the Lord. Philadelphia is promised to be kept from the tribulation. The reason is that they are killed is symbolic of the fact that the beast has outlawed the proclamation of the Gospel and it is "dead" for three days/years then the remnant churches the witnesses represent are raptured. So the best sign to look for that precedes the rapture is the outlawing of the Gospel, particularly in Israel.

The first red flag is showing clips of the Chosen that’s 90% fabrication. Scripture says there will be many false prophets and teachers in the last days. Third, you can’t twist scripture to fit your narrative or beliefs- not a word.
We are to be transformed by the Word not create an alternate view of it. My pastor drew a distinction between all believers called the church, who are raptured to prevent them from going through tribulation before plunging the world into total darkness.
The world cannot be in total darkness if the light of the church is on.
It is my understanding that Jesus sacrifice atones for God’s wrath so no tribulation required.
The Saints are those who came to believe inJesus during the tribulation.

"“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." Matthew 24:29-31

What he is contesting is the secret rapture taught by dispensationalists. I was raised to believe in the secret rapture myself, but Scripture does not bear it out. The idea of a secret rapture comes from the verse that says Jesus will come as a thief in the night, and therefore, He will come quietly and sneak in, instead of understanding that it's meant to say that we won't know when it will happen. Thieves don't make an appointment with you for when they will come. But there is quite a lot of Scripture saying that Jesus will return for His people in a very visible, audible, awesome event, not a secret scooping up of some people, as the speaker put it. The verse you've used is one of those. Revelation 1:7 also says that all eyes will see Him. So he's right on that particular point at least.

NT Wright is an amazing scholar and follower of Christ. That doesn’t mean he can’t be wrong; however, if someone is going to prove him wrong, you better come with more than just repeating your dispensationalist viewpoint. You must be willing to drop your dispensationalist filter (even for just a little while) to actually understand the argument (like mature adults) and then start making a case against.
You make the case by going to the scriptures and the whole council of scripture, gaining an understanding of the entire context (the verses around your verse, the chapter it’s in, the book it’s in, the place the book is in-OT vs NT, who wrote it, when they wrote it, where they wrote it, to whom they wrote it, why they wrote it). Trust me, NT Wright as a scholar has done all those things. His belief is not due to some drive-by Christianity where he just read someone’s book on end times and now he has it all figured out.
You don’t have to agree with him but you should know why you disagree with him and hope it’s based on something more than wanting to hang on to some framework (dispensationalism, millennialism, amillenialism, etc. ). By you, I mean a plural you as in all you all, not to single you as the writer of this post.

The presenter apparently doesn’t understand that the major and minor prophets were written primarily for the end time. They prophesy of the conditions in Israel( not just the tiny Middle Eastern nation which is actually biblical Judah) and of the Gentile nations that are rising now and are prophesied to precipitate these events(Jeremiah 30:1-3, 24; 31:33). Much of the cataclysmic language used in these prophesies to describe devastating events could not have happened in ancient times.

We see no pre-trib rapture teaching historically anywhere from the early church until Darby, nor is it anywhere in scripture. Jesus came above the clouds in judgement upon Israel and Jerusalem for rejecting their Messiah and rejecting the new covenant. He used the Roman army to execute this judgment.
      Matthew 22:7 & Luke 21:20 & all of Matthew 23.
      Judgement first begins with the house of God;

Christ rules and reigns from the kingdom of heaven and the gospel is being preached throughout the world until His final last day resurrection and judgement upon the whole world.

No, if Jesus came back in 70 A.D. then why is the church still here? No, friend, in Matthew 24, his disciples asked a three part question in verse 3 regarding the events of their Temple being destroyed- because they thought it was all one in the same:
#1. Tell us, when will THESE things be?
#2. What will be the sign of your coming?
#3. And when will the world end?
We can agree the world did not end in 70AD. But through that chapter, Jesus answers those three questions. The Temple was destroyed 30-years later by the Romans in 70AD, but question #2 and 3 have not happened yet.
Pastor Chuck Missler, Andy Woods and Gary Hamrick have great sermons on Matthew 24 and 25 on RUclips. They go verse by verse. The Bible is very detailed.

@@kevin9084 Nope, the church wasn’t “present” when Jesus spoke to his disciples on the Mt. of Olives that was Matthew 24 bc Jesus hadn’t been crucified yet. The Church did not exist. It was at Pentecost that the church was born.
When Jesus told his disciples in Mathew 16:18 that he would build His church on the rock & the gates of Hell will not prevail over it- Jesus was speaking in the future tense bc it hadn’t happened yet.
Plus the fact that in Matthew 10:5-6, when Jesus was assembling his disciples and giving them their instructions, He *specifically* told them not to go to the Gentiles, but rather, go to the Lost sheep of Israel. That’s why He was there. Even in Matthew 15:21-28 when Jesus was approached by a non-Jew begging him to heal her daughter, He first ignored her and then told her He was only there for the lost sheep of Israel. Wow.
This is how we know the audience for Matthew 24 is not the church. Church age Christian’s will not be present during the 7-year Tribulation period. Although it will cause a great revival, it’s for the salvation of Israel. It’s why in Luke 4:15-21 Jesus only read part of verse 2 in Isaiah 61 while standing in that synagogue. He stopped reading at what had been fulfilled up to that point. The remainder of Isaiah 61:2 is a future event for Israel- the time of Gods judgement and vengeance.

There other things that disqualify you and send you to hell. 1cor6:9Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. Also if you don't produce fruit. John15:2He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. Luke8:14Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away. If you fall away, you are no longer saved. Same with he who endures to the end shall be saved. But if you don't make it to the end, and you turn away, you are not saved. There are many other examples. We are the en-grafted vines. The Jews were cut off because of unbelief and disobedience. We can cut off if we are disobedient. Don't fall for the once saved always save or Calvinism. It is a false made up human doctrine.

How will teachers explain away the following biblical verses.
2 Peter 3:10 > But "the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night"; in the which "the heavens shall pass away" with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Job 14:12-14 > So man lieth down, and riseth not: "till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep". O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until Thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me! If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, "till my change come".
The rapture (gathering) of Believers is at the end of the 7000 years i.e. on the last day .
1 Corinthians 15: 51-54 > Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but "we shall all be changed", In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and "we shall be changed". For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
Revelation 21:1-3 > And I saw a New Heaven and a New Earth: for the First heaven and the First earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of Heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of Heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and "HE will dwell with them [Believers], and they shall be HIS people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Revelation 22:5 > And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
Note - His 2nd coming is to establish HIS kingdom of heaven (on earth) after gathering the Jews from all the nations. And HE will not reign from the temple to be built by zealous Jews but will reign (in the Spirit) over the hearts of Believers, while the resurrected David will sit on the throne in Jerusalem.
    Acts 17: 24-25 > God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that HE is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though HE needed any thing, seeing HE giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
Luke 1:31 > He (Jesus) shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto Him the throne of His father David: And He shall reign over the house of Jacob (Israel) for ever; and of HIS kingdom there shall be no end.
Note - prophecies that will be fulfilled in the millenium ahead.
Jeremiah 30:7-9 > Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he (Israel) shall be saved out of it. For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him: But they shall "serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them".
Ezekiel 37 : 21-24 > And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:...
... And David MY servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd ( the Triune God) : ...And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob (Israel) MY servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; ....

With God being the same as yesterday, and today.
We should consider, Noah, Lot, and Passover.
All three events God did not want those that he saved to witness his Judgements.
Honestly, I think as humans, we constantly get in our way by trying to stand out from one another.
For example, He seems like a very intelligent man, that has read a lot of books.
When we read a book we actually can become quite attached to yhe books we read.
Often putting them on the shelf, never to read again.
Over time reading these books, are only filling ones mind up with someone else's thoughts, opinions, which most likely come from thoughts and opinions from books they read.
You can see how this can start to yo spin out of control.
This is why sticking to God, and Gid word is so important.
Lean on him and his word, not the words of man.

What does an understanding of the New Covenant do to the Pretrib Rapture doctrine?
Since the New Covenant is “everlasting” in Hebrews 13:20, how is the New Covenant Church age going to end seven years before the Second Coming of Christ? Why would anyone think God is going back to the Old Covenant system now made “obsolete” by the New Covenant in Hebrews 8:13? We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24.
Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, modern Dispensational Theology falls apart, and the pretrib removal of the Church falls with it.
The Capitol "C" Church, as we use the word today, is not found in the entire Book of Revelation. Individual church bodies in ancient Asia Minor are found. In Revelation 12:11 we find those under the blood of the Lamb. A person cannot be under the blood of the Lamb and not be a part of the New Covenant Church of Jesus Christ. Verse 12 of this passage proves at least part of the tribulation period is the wrath of Satan upon the people of God.
Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Rev 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
"It may come as a surprise to most pre-Trib prophecy students that the post-Trib position (in its primitive form) is the oldest point of view."
(The quotation above is from the book "Will You Escape The Tribulation? RAPTURE [Under Attack]", by Tim LaHaye, copyright 1998, Page 197.) Tim LaHaye was co-author of the “Left Behind” books and movies which have convinced millions of modern Christians that the Church age ends seven years before the Second Coming of Christ. Recently, Pastor Matt Furse of Mountain View Baptist Church in Custer, S.D. has written a book titled “Which One Is Right?’, which reveals the recent history of the pretrib rapture doctrine, and the fact it does not agree with what is written in the King James Bible.
The gathering of the Church is described at the end of 1 Thess. Chapter 4, and the timing of the event is found in chapter 5. The word “But” in the first verse of chapter 5 connects the two chapters, and the words “we” and “sleep” in verse 10 of chapter 5 prove the two chapters are connected.
The Greek words for “wrath” and “tribulation” are not the same word, as proven by the verse below.
Rev 1:9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

After the stars fall, the sun is turned into darkness and moon into blood (sounds like smoke of war literally obscuring the lights of heaven-Joel 2:30) they will see the sign of the son of man in heaven. What is this sign in heaven that will be understood as Jesus coming with his angels and with great power and glory? This seems to be a visual phenomenon in the sky that comes on the heels of the celestial phenomena spoken of previously. I don't see any reason to interpret it as only symbolic. It can be both symbolically understood by the reader/hearer as signifying the end of that system of things (αιώνιος) and actually be a visible phenomenon at Jesus' appearing/revelation/coming on the clouds of heaven. Or so it seems to me.

In 2nd Thess. 2:7 you fail to see the truth. The Holy Spirit is indeed the only one who can or ever has restrained evil, and so when He is removed those that have been born-again will be removed with Him, unless you believe that we will be abandoned by Him.
In Luke 21 the context is from verse 8-36, not just a singular verse. In verse 36 we are to pray that we will be accounted worthy to escape. Escape what? The entire context is about the tribulation period, and so it is seen as truth that there will be a rapture before the time of Jacobs troubles begin. You must believe we can lose our salvation, or in some way be cast off by the Lord, for there is no other explanation.
And as for Matthew 24:13, if you are going to say that there is no rapture of the church, that those who have been crucified with Christ will be left behind when the Holy Spirit is removed, then what you are saying by default is that all who have been saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ will be abandoned by the Lord, you are left with no other option.
1st Thess. 4:16-17, if the rapture was to occur at the end of the tribulation period, what is called a boomerang theory. At the end of the tribulation period the saints are raptured and then turn right around and come back to earth, which makes no sense whatsoever and attempts to displace much of the Book of Revelations from chapter 4 to 19.

    Part 2/2 The Rapture.
The reason for the resurrection of our bodies in 1 Cor 15:50-57 is to enter the Kingdom aka Heaven not Jerusalem on earth.
    1 Cor 15:50-57
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a [m]mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed- 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
55 “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”
56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
    1 Thessalonians 4:15-18
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up (Harpazo, Rapture) together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
But don't stop remember there are no chapters and verses
1 Thessalonians 5:1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.
9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.
11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.
What's the "Day of the LORD?"
    Zephaniah 1:14-18
14 The great day of the Lord is near; It is near and hastens quickly. The noise of the day of the Lord is bitter; There the mighty men shall cry out.
15 That day is a day of wrath, A day of trouble and distress, A day of devastation and desolation, A day of darkness and gloominess, A day of clouds and thick darkness,
16 A day of trumpet and alarm Against the fortified cities And against the high towers.
17 “I will bring distress upon men, And they shall walk like blind men, Because they have sinned against the Lord; Their blood shall be poured out like dust, And their flesh like refuse.”
18 Neither their silver nor their gold Shall be able to deliver them In the day of the Lord’s wrath; But the whole land shall be devoured By the fire of His jealousy, For He will make speedy riddance Of all those who dwell in the land.
So "Day of the LORD" BAD. Terrible day of the LORD's Wrath on the earth.
2 Thessalonians 2:1Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him (Harpazo, Rapture), we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of the LORD had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of Lawlessness is revealed, the son of perdition,..."
So the "gathering to the LORD" will be prior to the "Day of the LORD"; the Wrath of GOD on earth.
Why are we exempt? 1 Thessalonians 5: 9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. 11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.
Romans 5: 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
John 3: 36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
We are to comfort each other that before the Wrath of GOD comes "The Day of the LORD" because of the Blood of Jesus we are not destined for that time.
He will Harpazo Rapture Catch up out of here to take us to the place He's been preparing for us since He Ascended.
When will His Wrath come? Well Revelation 6:15-17 says
15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, 16 and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”
Now we can debate Pre-7 years, or mid-7 years but the Scripture is clear that in this time the LORD's Wrath will come on the earth at some point and it's before the 2nd Coming. That we are to be caught up to Him before His Wrath comes, not because we're special but because of the Blood of Jesus. There may be many days of trial and difficulty. Victorinus a bishop who lived in 240AD (martyred 304AD) also wrote that he believed the Rapture occurs prior to the 7 years in his commentary on the Apocalypse. The first heaven is the atmosphere surrounding the earth, which is really no more than 70 miles in diameter, because airplanes cannot go beyond the Karman line. The 'outer space' where there is no atmosphere is not much wider than the diameter of the earth and ends with a body of water which is deeper than the sea, and in which are all the fixed stars at the same height. This is why the stars twinkle. This 'outer space' is the second heaven. The third heaven is centered above the north pole and begins within the atmosphere. This is the heavenly city and country, which is 1,500 miles in breadth, length, and height. All this I found from studying the Bible and from the most basic observation which denies the lies that abound in the world concerning heaven. Also I know because God answered my prayers for knowledge.

I've been taught rapture theology for at least 50 years, and from the start, I saw it wasn't biblical. I chose rarely to debate it as I have nothing to lose if I'm wrong, contrary to what those who believe in a pre-trib rapture will experience if they're wrong (including, but not limited to, not recognizing the anti-Christ because they are under the assumption they will not be here when he's revealed).
There were several points which clearly screamed out at me from Scriptures, a few of which include:
"You": To whom is Jesus speaking throughout the 24th chapter of Matthew (as well as the parallel account in Mark 13 and similar passages in Luke 17 & 21)? The Lord is speaking to His disciples -- i.e. believers. Bearing that in mind, note that the Lord uses the word “you” numerous times throughout this discourse -- at least eleven times directly (verses 4, 9[2], 20, 23, 25, 26, 33, 34, 44, 47), and a few times indirectly just in the Matthew passages alone. The Lord speaks of “you” (believers) being delivered up to tribulation, “you” (believers) seeing the abomination of desolation, anyone saying to “you” (believers) that ‘Here is the Christ!’, etc. Likewise, in Mark 13:29: “…when you see these things happening…” Such would imply that believers will be present throughout, as the events described unfold.
The elect: Of course, it was Matthew 24:15-22 which first made me think that I was being led astray by well-meaning, albeit biblically incorrect individuals about a rapture.
The "elect" (ἐκλεκτός) (Matt.24:22 -- for whose sake those days will be cut short) is used only 22 (23) times in the whole of the New Testament. In seven instances, the word is utilized in reference to this End Times prophecy. In all but four instances where this word is used in the New Testament it is always a reference to believers. The four exceptions are: I Tim. 5:21 (where it refers to “elect“ angels), and three references to Christ (Lk. 23:35, I Pet. 2:4, 6). As such, it should be ascertained from its use above (as well as in the subsequent End Times passages), that the elect (i.e. believers) are present on earth during the end times tribulation.
Making war against the saints: (Dan. 7:21, 25; Rev. 13:7) It would again appear that the saints (a.k.a. elect) must still be on earth during these times in order to be persecuted.
The coming of the Son of Man: The Greek phrase used for the coming of the Son of Man appears thrice in this discourse (verses 27, 37 and 39). In all three instances, the Greek is identical. (The phrasing is different in verse 30, as well as the accounts of both Mark 13:26 and Luke 21:27, which utilizes a different word: ἔρχομαι.)
This would seem to indicate that the events described herein (the days of Noah) should be placed chronologically within the time-frame of the events depicted in proximity of verse 27's coming of the Son of Man. (see also Lk. 17: 26-27) The Lord referred to one "coming of the Son of Man" -- not two, or three or more.
A great trumpet / the last trumpet: While there are seven trumpets mentioned in the 8th through 11th chapters of Revelation, I will omit discussion of the first six (Revelation 8:1 through 11:14), as these are not alluded to in the Lord‘s discourse from Matthew 24. However, given that the first six trumpets follow the previous cosmic occurrences (Rev. 6:12-14), but precede the seventh (or last ) trumpet (Rev. 11:15, I Cor. 15:51-52, I Thes. 4:15-17), it may be assumed that the events described from Revelation 8:1 through 11:14 occur between the cosmic occurrences (Matthew 24:29) and the sounding of the trumpet to gather His elect (Matthew 24:30).
It is advantageous to note at this point that all of the events of the subsequent passages follow the aforementioned, great, end times tribulation (verse 21), but precede the coming of the Son of Man on the clouds to gather His elect (verse 31), i.e. the gathering of the elect follows the great tribulation; it does not precede it (as should also be noted by the phrase which begins verse 29: Immediately after the tribulation of those days... then).
The great multitude: The great multitude referenced in Rev. 7:9-10 (and again in verses 13 and 14) is not to be confused with the 144,000 previously mentioned (verses 3-8). Those previously mentioned (verses 3-8) are specifically designated as those numbered from among the sons of Israel. The great multitude mentioned in verses 9-10, 13-14 are specifically designated as those from among every nation -- Gentiles.

First, Christ's coming to Armageddon as shown in Revelation 19 and Matthew 24 is NOT his "second" coming, but rather His third coming.
Paul's rapture as written in 1 Thes. 4 and 5, and in Hebrews 9:28 specify a "second" coming, only to the air and most certainly before any part of God's wrath or any part of the DAY of His wrath, which will start at the 6th seal over seven years before the timing of Revelation 19.
The 70th Week or "tribulation" will not begin in Revelation until the 7th seal is opened, so the rapture, coming before the 6th seal will certainly be pre-trib. Since 6 always comes before 7 in counting, OF COURSE, the rapture will be pre-tib. As a teacher, you should know these things.

Are you still waiting for rapture after so many blown calls? Are you dreaming about being taken to Heaven and living there happily thereafter? Even though, Heb 9:27 states that all men are appointed to die once and then receive God's judgment? There is no Rapture as you imagine, which is a pipe dream, a fable created by protestant churches to mislead people along the broad way to destruction (Matt 7:13-15). Our Lord said, "Whoever does not take up his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me (Matt 10:38). No slave is greater than his master. If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you (John 15:20). Particularly Our Lord said, "If those days had not been shortened, no one would be saved. But, for the sake of the elect, they will be shortened." If the rapture is true, why is there a need to shorten the days?

"The Dragon became angry with the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring, those who keep God's commandments and bear witness to Jesus. Anyone destined for captivity goes into captivity. Anyone destined to be slain by the sword shall be slain by the sword. Such is the faithful endurance of the holy ones (Rev. 12:17, 13:10)." "They will hand you over to persecution, and they will kill you. You will be hated by all nations because of My Name. But the one, who perseveres to the end, will be saved (Matt 24:9,13), because God will be with him in tribulation and deliver and glorify him (Ps 91:15)." "If we suffer, we shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He will also deny us (2 Tim 2:12)." "Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example that you should follow in His steps (1 Peter 2:21)."

In the last times, some shall depart from the Faith, giving heed to spirits of error and doctrines of Devil (1 Tim 4:1). Why follow false teachers who are abound in these times (Matt 24:24) and risk your eternal salvation? There is only One True Church, One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic, Our Lord's Only Sheepfold (John 10:16), His Bride and Body whom He saves (Eph 5:23). Come to His Fold quickly before it is too late, so that you may hear His Voice, know and follow Him, and be saved (John 10:16, 27-28). Amen!

If we refer to the book of Revelation, John shows us God's wrath starting at the 6th seal in Rev. Chapter 6, with the 70th week taking up chapters 8 through 16. We can always know that the rapture will be pretrib, because 6 comes before 7 in counting, and the 6th seal will certainly be opened before the 7th. Therefore, I believe in TWO more comings.
This is confirmed first because John SAW the raptured church in heaven shortly after the start of God's wrath, as that great crowd, too large to number.
It is confirmed once again in Revelation 19, for all the saints (old and new alike) are there for the marriage and supper which will take place in heaven.

At the end of the Millennium is the final war which us followed by the new heavens, new earth and the Jerusalem.
The mistake or perhaps even strawman that NT makes is that he imposes the rapture event simultaneously with the creation of the new earth event and yet these two events are separated by at least 1000 years, because of the Millennium (with is literal and has yet to happen), or if one adheres to a pre-tribulation rapture, the separation is more than 1007 or more years.
The rapture is Biblical as per the text, and those who knew John also taught this teaching which brings us to another strawman. 'The rapture is new theology'. You are correct, Revelation should be singular. Responding without my glasses and letting my phone chose my words isn't always the best way to answer someone haha. And true again chapter 5 never once mentions the Bride of Christ being spontaneously plucked from the earth and taken to heaven, (1Thess. 4:15-18) but we do see in great detail a large group of people that are surrounding the throne of God that we didn't see when Ezekeil saw the Throne. We also see 24 elders who are crowned sitting on 12 thrones. These twenty-four elders are not angels; nor are they the twelve apostles or the twelve sons of Israel, as many have speculated. The white garments, crowns, and the thrones, which are specifically promised to the church, as well as their personal worship of the Lord, convinces me they represent the company of the redeemed, you and me, worshiping the Lord following the rapture of the church. Jesus promised those who are faithful even unto death that we will receive a crown. For believers to have crowns the resurrection/rapture of the just and the Judgement Seat of Christ have had to take place.
2 Timothy 4:8 From now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--and not only to me, but to all who crave His appearing.
1 Peter 5:4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away
If Rev. 5 is not giving us a clear picture of the Bride of Christ singing and worshipping the Lord, then who are the people singing this?
Rev.5:9 And they sang a new song, saying:
“You are worthy to take the scroll,
      And to open its seals;
      For You were slain,
And have redeemed us to God by Your blood
Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
      10 And have made us kings and priests to our God;
And we shall reign on the earth.”
What we are seeing in Rev.5 is taking place before Jesus ever opens the first seal of judgement that unleashes the Anti-Christ on the earth so these people around the throne can't be the tribulation saints in chapter 6 who will be beheaded by the beast, who are under the altar crying out how long oh Lord before you avenge our blood.
Again, who are these thousands and thousands of people with white robes and crowns rejoicing in the presence of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost if it isn't the Church?
Rev. 3:10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Who is Jesus referring to? What will God use to test the whole world? Tribulation? Jacobs trouble?
1 Thessalonians 1:10 and to await His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead--Jesus our deliverer from the coming wrath.
1 Thess 5:9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. Who is Paul referring to?
Paul says we are to love our wives as Christ loves the Church. Would any loving husband allow his faithful wife to endure or go through what will happen during the tribulation? Would He give Satan that kind of power over His Bride? A choice to choose life by taking the mark of the beast or death by decapitation or starvation? If so, why? Salvation? Rewards? Test of faith, persecution? Wouldn't God already know these things about His children. Or maybe it's to show the devil and the world that we can take whatever God dishes out? What about children? Will they be given a choice of life or death? Have you ever noticed that Jesus never said anything about children during the tribulation. He only referred to women who were pregnant or were nursing babies. Imagine having a child who is old enough to understand what is going on during this time. Will they have to take the mark of the beast, or will God deliver them from the coming wrath? Jesus compared this time to the days of Noah and Sodom and Gomorrah. How many believers were outside of the Ark when the rain started to fall? How many believers were in Sodom when the fire fell from Heaven? Will people come to Jesus during this time? Absolutely! Those who survive will be the ones who repopulate the earth during the Millenium because all unbelievers will be gathered by the angels and destroyed. One in the field will be taken, the other left.
I don't understand the logic of why some believers think the Church should be here during the Tribulation. When the 144,000 Jews are sealed there is no mention of them working alongside with the Church to continue sharing the Gospel. There is no mention of the Church at all after Rev.3. Either way I think we are both going to find out very soon. Will see you in the sky. God Bless

@@Jonny88sHughes Revelation 4:1-2 KJV, JOHN who is a type of the church, and who already had read Paul's epistles (grace through faith and rapture), was caught up (Come up hither) to heaven. And never once is the church mentioned all the throughout Revelation until chapter 19.
The reason you don't see it is because you enjoy being a rebel, and being a contrarian to God's words, who knows, maybe you're not saved, and if you are, you will be losing out on a crown the devil took from you feeding you this new age crap.

@@Jonny88sHughes Not one Post trib believer,in over decades of debating, would answer these direct contradictions To Post trib rapture. Not one! So, here's your chance. You don't get to bring up a bunch of other scriptures that don't directly deal with the context of these objections. First, refute these verses, and answer my questions. If you do,I will address your objections, and give you answers. That's the deal.
Jesus CANNOT return at any time! Not at the end of the tribulation, which all the O.T. prophets referred to as "The day Of The Lord".
17 For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” See that?

The rapture deniers are of the same spirit as the flood deniers. But know one thing: The deniers can’t stop Jesus from descending and the saved from ascending. People watch out, get ready, Jesus is coming.

I agree. This is what the Bible calls in the last days as the "great falling away," obviously a reference to falling away from sound Biblical doctrine, like the Rapture.

Oh Sweet Jesus! Read your Bible! Christ never said he would figuratively appear within us and "that is the second coming." Where do you get this metaphysical, introspective, wishy-washy nonsense??? He said "I will Come Again. If it were not true I would have told you so...." He actually meant that He very literally and very matter-of-factly physically will return and put His feet upon the Mount of Olives and literally and actually REIGN over the planet for 1,000 years. To hear someone say "Christ is in me, and to me, that is the second coming..." honestly makes me want to vomit! The utter Biblical illiteracy these days is truly astounding.

Canned music is manipulative and unnecessary. Why dreamy suspended 4th chords? Why not sorrowful minor chords? This music is telling you how to feel, which is profoundly annoying . Let the man's words say what they mean without this ridiculous fluff.
