Honestly so impressive for a big boat like this. It is very light in the configuration right now and we had perfect weather. But we should see 80+ in most conditions!
Both are heavy in the back side. Freeman tunnel is not high enough. Yellowfin rides low in the water. Both well built so don't complain. Just pointing out the obvious. Water is wet, sky is blue and concrete is hard.
Water isn't wet. Wetness is a description of our experience of water; what happens to us when we come into contact with water in such a way that it impinges on our state of being. sky can be gray and concrete can be wet. lol just messing with ya
If that freeman had just a tiny bit of weight in the bow it would have corrected that porpoise and she would have really started getting some good stable air under it and i bet would see close to 90 then
@@Eluderatnight Mine weighs 400lbs. and makes a huge difference in the seas.....39.5' Everglades. If you are looking for top speed like these guys are, you dont want it, but the ride quality is outstanding with it on. Takes about 3 hours for that massive weight to spool down when powered down.
There it should be more videos like this on RUclips… WOW… And it should have the same horsepower with the same length… But seen both boats go over 80 mph, it’s speak about the reason of why they are so costly. Not even my jetski can keep up with this 2 boats and I have it run at leas 73+ mph… So, I like to see this more often…
Dude, lots of jet skis out there in the 80s which is what this boat ran. Stock GP1800R with speed limiter removed and stage 1 will run 75 MPH all day long. Go up to Stage 2 and you're in the high 70s, low 80s.
They're fishing boats not racing boats, people w/ money aren't necessarily smart. Pretty cool to see the power though wouldn't recommend doing that too often.
That's crazy either of those big boats go that fast 🤯
No hat stays on past 70.
That's cause it go time
Well, there goes $500 in gas and your favorite hat!
Couple of badass rigs right there!!
I believe I saw 85.3 for the Freeman! Astounding for stock engines....
We hit 87.1 as a max speed for the day. We were sitting 86mph comforatblly once trimmed up and set nice!

@@USPMarineWhat are you guys seeing top speed wise for Yellowfin 39s with triple 450r, offshore lowers with 4 bladers?
I saw some chine walking too.....
I wouldn't call the 450R a stock engine.
It's also a pain in the rear to work on.
Man, those Merc's sound fantastic!
Crazy, hat off to these engines
Wow! Just .... wow! Thanks for sharing! :o)
Any time @gisle! Thanks for watching.
That was cool, thanks!
Glad you liked it!
That Freeman will serve the YF every day💪🏻
They had awesome water conditions for the run, super flat w a slight wind ripple.
Do an Invincible 43 with trip 600's
bros hat flew off
How many RPM?
Was pretty shocked to see the quad L6's on the Yellowfin immediately get the lead in mid-range torque over the 4.8 liter supercharged 450R's
Lighter boat
smaller boat,
L6's have a lot more jump to them thanks to the 1.75 lower where the 450R has a 1.60.
now lets see the freeman 42 with quad verado 600s :)
Also curios now wondering what a 37 freeman would do with quad 450s just bc someone could do it
bad azz for sure. Looking forward to the V-10 400 Mercs vs the 450's...on these larger cats
If they where always running the pack in the yellowfin imagine now in the freeman🤯🤯
Lantana Bridge ?

@@Dasher904 Wayne? Do you have a 6 foot bong with ice in it? lol
Gas is expensive, both rigs suck for fuel economy.
@@Eluderatnight why you seldom go top end in a boat of any kind.

Maybe an air foil at those speeds
A SeaKeeper would keep it in the water
@@ss0073 sea keepers are cool but they have a massive weight penalty.

🤤🤤🤤 I wanna go for a ride!! Lol
WOW
0:59 blud lost a hat
Scoootin!!!!
And there goes someone's hat... lol

They probably ran out of gas before they left the intracoastal
I remember when Mercury came out with the 150 in 1973. We thought the hp war was over.
I had one of those tower of power 150s. bad azz on a good size lake

Just change out the engines every year or two... no big deal. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Ok now let’s do it in the ocean with a following sea
warp speed, cappy
That's what you call hauling ass!
A lot of money in gas was spent in that video
Not an accurate comparison because they have completely different engines!
God help any manatee that decided to take a swim in front of that boat.
WTF trim those monsters out man..
