Elderbug standing next to that being is visibly scared , he wants to run but cant move bcs of fear.
THEN. Giant shade starts getting tinier and tinier until it becomes pitch black bug with white eyes , slightly taller than elderbug and with strange but familiar mask.
Strange bug gets off the bench , gets closer to elderbug and stares at his face and white flower he is holding like a nail to protect himself. Then strange bug places hand on elderbug's arm and just murrs something. Then the becomes a dark liquid again and dashes back to the well...
Everyone falls silent. Temporary silence is stopped by Zote who starts yelling and running after the creature. Before he makes it to the well a big black limb , a tentacle made of void emerges from the well , cuts of his head and goes back underground. Everyone falls silent again..

I love the 2 frames with Grimm's reaction. He probably knows what shit is about to unfold. And then we see Brumm and Divine - at the first shot still somewhat calm, not seeing Grimm's face, probably expecting that he can deal with the situation.
But then he takes a step back, and it clicks in them - something is wrong. Something is very, very wrong.
Beautifully done animation! I'd love to see what the Shade Lord does after the screech, but I guess imagination can help with that 😉
