I used to go here as a kids in the 1980s/90s when it was enchanted forest/wild waves. I remember they had a small rollercoaster and fair like rides. The speed slides were new and exciting, the wild thing wasn’t built yet. The wave pool and the shotgun slides were the popular areas. Most of the year (even during the summer) it’s too cold and wet to go. You had to wait for the hottest day of the year to enjoy it and it was a very crowded.
Enchanted Village was the original name as someone else said. I grew up going to this park and it's changed quite a bit since then. There used to be teacups, an umbrella spinning ride, an old non-water slide, and some other stuff. Thanks for the video.
I saw this place when I was visiting my brother I didn’t know it existed. I think it’s very cool. It reminds me of this theme park I made in theme park tycoon 2
4:39 Ocean Breeze Water Park in Virginia Beach has one of these called Jungle Falls and it's my cousin's favorite water slide ever. I didn't know if there was any other slides like that because none of the water parks I've been to in northern Ohio had a slide like this.
I also think a skyrocket II would be perfect for Wlidwaves. Place it over the water as they have a 150 ft height restriction due to the airport( thats what an employee told me anyway
In the about 10 times I have been to wild waves, lumberjack falls has NEVER been open. And the one time the wild mouse was open, a cart got stuck on the lift hill and they had to close it.
speaking of soaring eagle ziplines i rode the one at como town and love it lets you see to the side of the state fair's observation town and downtown Minneapolis and Downtown St Paul to the right side it's not just the best ride at Como Town but it's the best ride in Minnesota
I was planning on coming here over the summer. If I arrive right when the park opens, which rides should I check out first? I mainly want to just ride the coasters, as well as the water rides that you mentioned (the ones that were much higher on the list).
@@CanobieCoasterit didn’t. If the ride you wanted wasn’t broken it was more likely than not to be unstaffed. We need a second proper water park in Washington so each park is motivated to actually be good.
I still consider SFMM as my home park. But seeing as I live just east of Seattle, technically this is my home park... I actually thought Wild Thing was pretty smooth for an ancient Arrow Corkscrew. The wild mouse wasn't open when I was there earlier in the summer. Hope to get that credit at some point. I was surprised how well maintained the S&S woodie is for a park of this size. For parks near my area I way prefer Silverwood over Wild Waves.
Almost every time I go the activity pool is closed. Once it was open and I tried the black slides. They are pretty fun - throws you hard into the water. I would like the activity pool better if we could actually just swim around. Once you are in there you have to immediately swim out.
@@CanobieCoaster Ahh that makes sense. They are still there though correct? Want to make a trip this summer, but only if they still have the speed slide tower. Lol
My favorite ride in the dry park is Timberhawk, followed by Wild Thing, Lumberjack Falls, and Dodgems. A lot if rides were closed on my visit. My favorite rides in the waterpark are Raging River, followed by Riptide, Conga Slides, Zooma Falls, and the Speed Slides which were replaced by Pacific Plunge in 2014.
Ragin waters used to be a free for all and was way more fun!! Now you basically go 1 at a time and it sucks. My friends and I used to try and get down it the slowest but now you can’t
This park is absolutely trash but is the only game in town. If Great Wolf lodge in Grand Mound had a season pass option I’d drive the hour extra every day their facility is loud because it’s indoors but it’s cleaner and 100% operational. This place is sticky and half the rides are unstaffed or broken.
@@CanobieCoaster agreed, we did silverwood this summer. The hotel near the Spokane airport is a great place to stay and has its own water slide and is only ~35 minutes away.
"Top 15 rides at Wild Waves" Me "I didnt know they had that many"
They do if you count the water park as well.
One of them is a tastefully painted park bench. I have it at my #16.
@@cjvs1991 Nice! Im taking my family next week!

It had a good crowd when I was there last year on a weekend.

Nice!
Shoutout to the dry slide they used to have on the backside of the park that transported you down the hill, that's the real #1 here
I've ridden a similar ride at Santa's Village and it's fun.
Ah, that's the weird conveyer Taylor saw on his visit
The Beach Waterpark in Mason, OH had a Raging River slide similar to the one mentioned here. I loved it. Very unique.
That park was so fun I’m upset they closed it
I saw that place several times driving into Kings Island.

@@CanobieCoaster so the new dark ride The Haunted Hotel has opened up to the public at Funtown Splashdown USA in Maine. have you checked it out yet?
Hey thanks for making this.
No problem!
In the about 10 times I have been to wild waves, lumberjack falls has NEVER been open. And the one time the wild mouse was open, a cart got stuck on the lift hill and they had to close it.
I went a few times last year and eventually got on all these.

My favorite rides in the state are Renegade, Log Chute, and Whirley Ball.
Do you personally count any Zamperla discos as coasters? I'm undecided...
Not the model shown here. Diskos are powered the whole cycle. The disko coasters use gravity over the hump.
The fact that I go there.. ❤ and am coming tomorrow.
Have fun!
Thank you.❤

Prioritize water slides at open if those are of interest. Timberhawk is the coaster to do first given its the most popular one.
@@CanobieCoaster Thanks!
Upsetting this park has staffing issues, but I have high hopes for this year as they now have a job page on their website.
Hopefully that helps.
@@CanobieCoasterit didn’t. If the ride you wanted wasn’t broken it was more likely than not to be unstaffed. We need a second proper water park in Washington so each park is motivated to actually be good.
How would you compare timberhawk to Falken? And does it also have the gerstlauer trains?
Timberhawk has PTCs. Timberhawk is smoother, but Falken has far better airtime.

Oh that's unfortunate.
Wow this park looks cool. How many rides are there in total?
Check the website for the exact figure. I'd guess 3 dozen between the dry and water side.
Aaaackshually it was Enchanted Village.
Thanks for clarifying.
My childhood 🥲
Fun park when things are open.
It was Enchanted Village, not Enchanted Forest. They're connected, and used to be paid separate to go to both.
Thanks for clarifying.
How can you not put there two speed slides on the list?
They were unfortunately closed for my visits.
@@CanobieCoaster Ahh that makes sense. They are still there though correct? Want to make a trip this summer, but only if they still have the speed slide tower. Lol
Wish they would RMC timberhawk. Realistically they wouldn’t but a RMC has a lot of marketability potential as it would be the only hybrid in the PNW
Timberhawk is probably their most popular dry ride as-is, so I'd rather see them get a different coaster to compliment it.
Wild waves need to upgrade there rides so many have Maintenance issues
From what I've seen, staffing seems to be the bigger issue.
i honestly wonder why six flags dropped wild waves, they had a lot of ground to work with where rollercoasters or small things could've been put.
They did go bankrupt shortly after selling this park, so it was probably money related.
Probably also had to do with park only open 4 months of the year
Am i ok? Or is it true that Washington has the only wold waves
