Thank you for joining me and my friends on this journey to tell the story right. I’m glad I met you and appreciate you more than you will ever know. Thank you for everything you’ve done to help us change the narrative. Also I’m glad to know I made the video 💯
Great Video.! Las Vegas resident here. Don't give up in Oakland yet..!!!There STILL is no official construction plans yet for a Stadium here..Just artist renditions..The property is too small for a domed Stadium. Seating Capacity is so small that if the A's sell out every game they will still lose revenue..There is absolutely no A's fans here. And most importantly..A's ownership after multiple city council meetings still have no answer or plan as too their end of the financing..There also has been no applications for construction or permits issued to this day for a Stadium to be built on the Trop site..and now rumors here is a new Tropicana Hotel is actually going to be built on the vacant property..and...if the A's relocate the owner will automatically have to forfeit $75 Mil/Year in television revenue, which he pockets..Team is not coming here, so don't give up yet..
What an amazing combination of history, nostalgia, highlights and emotion. This might be the BEST video I've seen from the day. Thank you for making this.
I am a Red Sox fan from Rhode Island. Though I am not an A’s fan, I sympathize with all of you. It’s simply not fair to us deserving fans to have a team with such a rich history and tradition be taken from them. My local team was the AAA PawSox, who moved away after COVID canceled the 2020 season. They say the Boston Red Sox are a New Englander’s birthright and the same can be said for the PawSox in Rhode Island. They were an institution and something our state took tremendous pride in. They were the first professional baseball game I ever attended I was seven and my dad brought me to McCoy Stadium every summer since. It was the most fun I’ve ever had at any baseball game. My middle school band director played the national anthem on his trumpet many times and even I have done it as a member of my high school marching band’s drumline twice. My brother came Don the field as a Boy Scout. I have even met former owner Ben Mondor once while running the bases after a game. He was a true gentleman with an enormous smile who had a great sense of community and fought hard to keep his team here. It’s a shame that Larry Lucchino, who brought the Red Sox World Series glory, could rip my PawSox away from me. We still have the collegiate Newport Gulls, who are very successful in winning NECBL titles, but it’s still not the same.
You and Gabe did so much justice for the Coliseum and for the As that the organization never did. Thank you for showing this side. I only wish I met you all sooner. You’re right, the As fan base is one of the most dedicated fans i’ve ever met.
Man this video was amazing. Really captured the essence of the last game and the history of the A’s, not only in Oakland but back to the Philadelphia days. The wait was definitely worth it for this one. Also, thanks for throwing me in the video Haha.
Man, this was so awesome to watch. I live in Charlotte, and felt this exact same way when our Hornets were ripped away from us in 2002. They came back under a new franchise and ownership a few years later, but the soul of the team and our beloved big family environment at our local Coliseum never did.
I need those Oakland shorts 🩳 you had on! Raider Nation 4L but I think I’m done with the A’s until this owner gets outta there sad I cried all day this day!
Proud Canadian and not so proud Jays fan but I’m so heartbroken for all of the A’s fans. Thank you Dylan for your amazing content and standing up for Oakland.
Worth the wait - I knew you were working on sumpin' - Outstanding - considering you are a Giants fan 1st :) - The story of A's and Giants epic rivalry was your high watermark til this . I've seen several of your treatments where you honor memories with "turning the page" and it is very accurate and artful. You are a true talent
Love it, thanks so much for including Kid Stomper! Beautiful work. God I love RUclips and consumer electronics! We get to have this- I hate to ripoff for us, by us, but it is! Beautifully and accurately said. I would have supported any amount of money Oakland would spend to keep them but I respect they didn’t repeat the Mount Davis mistake. They knew they were getting played and they dug their heels in. These clowns want to call it business- fine, they then don’t get our tax dollars, free rent in a publicly paid house, and they don’t get our income for a bad product. Compete for my business then. Earn it.
@@vvarietyshowespecially when teams like the Giants and Warriors have demonstrated that private funding works (just like any other business). No excuse in the Bay Area to need taxpayer funds!
Man it’s but a tough 5 year span in Oakland dubs left June 2019 raiders left dec 2019 for Vegas and now the A’s left for Sacramento I feel for Oakland fans
It's a tremendous and sad fall from grace from a city that had four top-tier Big Five North American Pro Sports (MLB, NHL, NFL, NBA, and MLS) teams and contributed to 10 of the San Francisco Bay Area's 21 top-tier Big Five North American Pro Sports titles.
I thought I was done getting teary eyed over this whole thing but that ending got to me. Also, do I get to add my 2 second appearance in this video to my IMDB page now? Haha.
Good luck to the Oakland Roots and Soul soccer teams and the Ballers baseball squad, the second-tier teams trying to fill a hefty void left behind by the Raiders, Seals, Athletics, and Warriors. Oakland's top-tier Big Five franchises: 1960-2024.
Fake news. Oakland raised over $800 million in grants for the Howard Terminal project. Fisher and the city were only $80 million apart when they announced their 1st "binding deal". The city did a lot leading up to the relocation vote. One man decided he wasn't one of us and ripped the team out of the community. The city tried.
What a beautiful video and tribute to all us fans, the team history, and the Coliseum. So grateful to be friends with many of the people in this video. So proud of all the work that was done by so many. Thanks to ALL!! 💚🫶💛

"A new dawn begins in Oakland..." You did an awesome job in showing the true honest light of the A's fan community & Colliseum appreciation.

It's such a tough decision. Get exploited via tax money and let a rich owner get richer, or lose something you love? It's such an unfair system

Man I stick out like a sore thumb around 10:23 😂 but it was an honor to be there w everyone one last time.
Such a beautifully composed piece. I know it took hours to edit. Respect! 🫡
Killer tribute bro! Such a great and bittersweet sendoff for Oakland. 🤘🏻💛💚

right on 🙏
I’m a Oakland fan. This is so sad.
A's fans are THE BEST fan base in the world! Giants fans dont even come close, and i am a Giants fan too so...
Giants fans used to be more like this... they've all had to move away lol
Once again another great video!! ⚾ What do you think they're going to do with the Oakland coliseum 🤔

Should have not mentioned Jon Lester. F that guy lmao.
The Oakland Golden Seals were before my time.
mine too
Sad that OAK isnt doing anything to keep the teams. Thanks for all the history info. Why be an owner if you dont care about the team!?!
