I started following the A's in 78, it was fun but 79 was rough and the team looked like they were out the door to Denver but then Walter Haas bought the team and brought in Billy Martin. The whole fanbase was excited that we were getting Marrin to coach. I went to opening night with my dad and remember how excited the crowd was, a new era of A's baseball and Haas brought us so many great memories in the years to come. I remember driving down Hegenberger in the morning watching Tony Larusa taking a jog down the street and back into the coliseum. Thank you Mr. Haas.😊
Its ironic how the Bay Area media who has slobbered over the Giants ever since the As came to town while ignoring the As now act like they care about the A's. Its only because a funeral they helped create is fun for them
When I was growing up and home from college every Monday night when there was a home game it was a buck night you could get a bleacher seat for a dollar a hotdog for a dollar and a beer for a dollar miss the good times!!!

I didn’t know Billy Martin from the Yankees coach, the A’s. It must’ve not been very long, as he came back to the Yankees. (for not very long again)
Fisher was the worst owner, but Haas was absolutely the best!
How i miss Walter Haas
Every baseball fan needs to see this -when Walter Haas owned the team. What a huge difference.
First it Oakland Radiers, Then the Golden state Warriors, and now Oakland A's. This the beginning of the end
First was the California Golden/Oakland Seals of the NHL then the raiders

KPIX was at one time the flagship station of the A's.
Wayne walker was cool

The guy’s name is really Fonzi?
Yes Joe Fonzi is his name. He was a sports anchor.
I'm Gonna Miss The Oakland Colosseum
Even if the owner sold they would still move, I firmly believe.
Not likely if he sold to a local investment group whose purpose would be to keep it here.
Love the backdrop of the original stadium before the hideous Mt. Davis was built.
@@SlipKid1975 like who?
@@SlipKid1975 me too.
Great was God's Faithfulness Great is his faithfulness. Faithful to THE BAY including Sacramento Stockton Merced 😊
When the Hass family sold the A's to Fisher, that's when everything started to go downhill for the A's! Fisher is a horrible owner!
Bad politics ruined it for good fans
and bad media
@@MA_808 👍🏻
Oakland's loser gangsters ruined sports for that city
