    I know Benn has the Art Ross trophy, but I don’t really see him as a Hall of Famer. 909 points in 1117 games is very good, but not great. Tavares for instance has much more impressive totals, and I wouldn’t say he’s a lock either at this point.

    • @smithryansmith
      @smithryansmith 3 месяца назад +25

      Benn only has an Art Ross because John Tavares was too honest and reported that he hadn't actually scored the goal that would have given Tavares the title over Benn.
      Benn has no business being considered.

      @MikeC-nu7ty yeah not saying those are confusing, but not saying Rantanen is in or close to in is absurd. Pasta and Drai are missing the most important piece of hardware. It's just such a stupid time in hockey talent wise that a lot of these great players don't get the recognition they deserve.

The only possible concern is longevity, but that wasn't really the case for Orr's induction either and he still is the measuring stick for all defensemen. Sure, he's got some iffy defensive reputation for the time being, but stay-at-home tendencies tend to peak much later in players' career.
