@@dixonpinfold2582 Funnily enough I read your comment here whilst trying to find out why immediately after the punchline Conan knocked on the table and Norm said that Conan blew it, and then the audience reacted negatively to Conan and he had to apologise for something. So in a sense I was as confused as Patrick by what it was that I was missing, although I was fully aware that Norm had said the f-bomb, but I just didn't realise that that was all the audience was reacting so much to, and somehow I also didn't join the dots and realise that your description was supposed to refer to the f-bomb, since the way Norm used the word had literally no connection with such intimacy and was purely used as an 'intensifier' in that context, so I honestly thought you were saying that they bleeped the word 'sex' later in the video or something. I then went on to ask my original question in the comments and then unpaused the video to watch the rest, only to quickly realise that your comment had in fact been the key to answering my question all along, although it does still sound to me like Norm says that Conan blew it and then the audience boo Conan, and it's still odd that Conan walks up to apologise to the audience rather than Norm doing it, so I do still wonder if there is something else I'm still missing (Incidentally my original guess at what I had been was that Norm had pre-arranged for Conan to knock on the table to simulate knocking on the door at the point when Norm mentioned getting to the front door, and that Conan has missed his cue and done it after the punchline without realising the joke was already over).
