    Most people on this channel are likely too young to know but that was a perfect mimic of Johnny Carson coming out of the curtain with all of his mannerisms displayed until Norm starts talking.

    3 years into his Cancer diagnosis... With no one having a clue. He kept it to himself. And tho he probably had trying times when he was alone, he was always full of smiles, laughs, and unique comedy when in public.
    I've become such a huge fan of Norm Macdonald since he passed from this earth. Like a painter who becomes world known after their death.

    my favourite thing about norm that too often goes unnoticed is his purposely fucking up pronunciations of words. He was a well read man and knew how to say those things correctly but it added to the bit.

      I wonder if by then TEE-v will still be a thing. I'm merely in my fourties, but talking to kids these days about how my childhood looks like feels like being at least in my sixties, if I compare it to the stories from older folks back when I was a kid. It's all moving so damn fast, and getting faster by the year. Might be that Oldtimer's won't even be a problem any more, because we will all get external harddrives attached.

      Norm was the one who said he didn't agree with people who say "so and so lost the battle to cancer." Norm said if you die of cancer, then the cancer does too, and he would call that a draw.

    Love that Norm used the term bluestocking. Was a term literary women took on as a badge of honor and there are still bookstores in major cities that go by the name but it is comically archaic which is what he does so well.

      A lot of his jokes get funnier the more you listen to them again. Theres so much subtlety thats easy to miss the first time. I can see him not getting to immediately see the full effect hes had on his fans but he most likely came to see that as he grew older.
