Norm taught me how to be an optimist. Though I still fear death (like he did) I now look for the silver lining. I can't wait to get oldtimers disease so I can see Norm's bits for the first time again on the TEE-v.
I wonder if by then TEE-v will still be a thing. I'm merely in my fourties, but talking to kids these days about how my childhood looks like feels like being at least in my sixties, if I compare it to the stories from older folks back when I was a kid. I love how when he first came out for the monologue part he seemed to embody the mannerisms of Johnny Carson. In fact I think the band played a bit of the Johnny Carson intro music if I heard that right.
Love that Norm used the term bluestocking. Was a term literary women took on as a badge of honor and there are still bookstores in major cities that go by the name but it is comically archaic which is what he does so well.

If I was in the audience and was lucky enough to see Norm....and then one of my comic heros Fred Willard it would be a day I'd cherish for my lifetime.
A lot of his jokes get funnier the more you listen to them again. Theres so much subtlety thats easy to miss the first time. I can see him not getting to immediately see the full effect hes had on his fans but he most likely came to see that as he grew older.
