Very impressed Michael, I´m 68 atm, so let´s just say my education starts now! I´m over weight after stopping smoking and have a huge stomach, so naturally need all the help I can get. I thought about massage, yet as I have stopped sugar completely and now bike 25 km each day, my back is feeling the weight. I hope this will help my lower back. This guy is amazing.....All you need to see is that when he does any of these excercises, his face does not show any strain. When I did some of these moves.....Fantastic!
I do all those exercises about 5 days/week. Except cobra, but I'll work that one into my daily back routine. I've had no back problems for the past few years now (I used to, back when I had a weak core). Strengthen that core!! Especially if you're over 40

Thanks buddy. Never been diagnosed but I think I have a pretty bad issue with my sciatic nerve. Been doing yoga daily but this helps me do things a little more accurately to fix my pain.
Depending where your tingling is noticeable will change what needs stretched; cobra pose if you feel it only in your glutes and possibly higher, piriformis stretch if in glutes and down (seated, take bad leg and put the ankle over the other leg's knee, then bend down. Hold 30s), and if there's tingling lower I'd want to assess before giving any advice.

I sleep in a recliner and am recouperating from shingles. I have neck/spine pain and arm pain. My exercises got sidetracked. I can’t lie flat on my back. I always need a soft pillow or bolster. I’m 71 and a recovering breast cancer patient. I went to a chiro one time bc I had bad back/hip pain that came down and pooled at my kneecap. He said it was scapular femur something. I did ten sessions with him and did disc decompression too. My sciatica doesn’t hurt anymore but shingles has left me with a very stiff arm and shoulder. I’m going to try your stuff once I can lay on my back again. Haven’t gone back to gym yet. I walk and do lymphedema exercises with Kelly PT to avoid getting it. Just trying to keep moving!!
Simply follow Surya namaskar, 6 or 12 rounds early morning life time you have no pain, increased concentration, you will be lighter through out the day

I sat at a table with attached seats and no back support earlier in the day. Slowly after that, my lower back started to give me a lot of pain to move around, eventually fully restricting my ability to move. Tried these stretches and immediately got some range of motion back with reduced discomfort.
I have gluteal tendinopothy (GTPS) which. Is really painful and debilating, and facet joint pain. I'll definitely try the easier back exercises, so thank you. Dr Rowe I wondered if you could create a video to help us GTPS sufferers to alleviate pain, strengthen glute muscles and hopefully aid recovery back to an active life? Huge thanks in advance.

First is excellent! I find out that exercise by my self, wiggling around. Last exercise is somehow hard to do sometimes, carefull. What I like to do is sit on chair or stay up and bend backwards with hand behind neck. Another good exercise: stay up and bend arm 90 degree and try to strech on other side above shoulder and head

Found the exercise - the scorpio one really effective as it not only helps my back but also tones the waist- can’t do any waist exercises as they immediately tighten my neck muscles - so this exercise is amazing. Haven’t felt my neck tighten - did 3 sets of 20. Do u agree that down the road this will help tone my waist. Thank you.
Just started watching your videos about a week ago … Woke up one morning about 3wks ago with unbelievable pain down the right side from back to hip to toes. I have no idea how this happened or any previous back issues. I am still battling the pain and it’s gotten to the point it’s hard to walk or stand for more then 5min. At one point the pain got so bad I went to the hospital just so I could get something to take the edge off as all the over the counter drugs did nothing and now I couldn’t sleep. I knew they couldn’t do much and only prescribed a muscle relaxer but was hoping for some imagery but the Dr said it wouldn’t show anything as he thought it was my sciatica. I’ve started doing the stretches you have pointed out and do bring me relief at the time and soon after but I continue to experience severe pain especially when going to bed. Dr Rowe at what point or time if no relief from the pain should I go to the next step to seek relief ? Will continue to do your stretches and thanks so much for your videos much appreciated here in Canada 🇨🇦 !!!
I'm an RMT. I use the baby cobra into cobra to help people relieve a locked up lower back, namely when it takes a second to stand straight when standing up. I do it somewhat different though. The stretch is for iliopsoas, which connects into your hips and femur. We use a muscle tension exercise to help relax this muscle. 1. Get in baby cobra (stretch) pose 2. For 7 seconds, squeeze your core with intent to push your hips into the floor 3. Relax, stay in your stretch pose, take a breath 4. Go higher just a little bit by straightening your arms where your palms are already touching the floor. 5. Repeat 1-4 from your new stretch pose. Do 3-5 times. If you have a desk job and get a locked back daily, do this a MINIMUM of every lunch break and after work. For severe cases you may want to do this before and after work, and every break you get. Worst case even more often, but at that point you also need strength exercises.
I just found you!! I am doing your exercises to even my hips out. I used to love doing the child’s pose, but since my knee replacement in 2012, I cannot kneel on that knee. It’s very frustrating. I start pt tomorrow for my low back pain that is getting worse from my uneven hips. Thank you for your videos!

If you have a desk job and get a locked back daily, do this a MINIMUM of every lunch break and after work. For severe cases you may want to do this before and after work, and every break you get. Worst case even more often, but at that point you also need strength exercises.

I just found you!! I am doing your exercises to even my hips out. I used to love doing the child’s pose, but since my knee replacement in 2012, I cannot kneel on that knee. It’s very frustrating. I start pt tomorrow for my low back pain that is getting worse from my uneven hips. Thank you for your videos!
