Her name is Agnetha Fältskog. She is epic. Was a star in Sweden when she was a teenager. ABBA formed when she was 21 and between her and Frida they pulled off some of the best vocals of the 70s and 80s. (she was married to the main guy on the guitar Björn and the other woman Anni-Frid (Frida) married to the bearded guy Benny on the keyboard). That’s why they’re called ABBA, it’s their 4 first initials. They released some new music last year which is also good considering they’re all in their 70s now. So glad you loved this ❤

ABBA was just this unbelievable mixture of just out of this world vocals, songwriting, composing, and just precision-perfect song structure. Benny and Bjorn had an insane ear to construct a perfect pop song. There's no other group like them, and I don't think there ever will be again. Truly lightning in a bottle.

remember that ABBA is a swedish pop group, the name is an acrónim with initials of their names, and initialy was two couples:
    A Agnetha blonde singer
    B Björn guitarist songwriter
    B Benny keyboard songwriter
    A Anni Frida brunette singer
"Gimme gimme gimme (a man after midnight)" is a song influenced by American disco, after the success of the Bee Gees and the movie 'Saturday night fever "
In this song you can see part of the volume and range of voice that the blonde Agnetha has
ABBA was preparing his 1979 Tour of America and Europe, in the previous one , They recorded this song and filmed the Official video
There is an only video in which all ABBA is seen in the recording studio,
including staff musicians (bass guitarist and drummer) and sound engineer Michel Tretow at the controls, creator of the well-known 'ABBA sound' with his innovative 'wall of sound' multiplication technique (an adaptation of the works of Phill Spector)
The introduction and the instrumental ending, that characteristic sound of keyboards, is what Madonna used for her hit
"Hung Up" (with the permission of the composers Björn and Benny, granting them share the credits)
Surely for the latter, this is the second official ABBA video with the most views on RUclips (behind only "Dancing Queen", which has already surpassed 500 million views)
"Gimme gimme gimme" was released as a single and in the álbum "Greatest Hits 2"
it was #3 in UK, don't succes in US

Sweden, Sweden, Sweden, what talents you create! What is it with this little country in the North? Answer: one of their treasures is / has been that they have a natural aptitude for singing and for music in general. It is in their genes. See for example "allsång på Skansen", Stockholm, where they meet and sing together once a week in the summertime. ABBA was one of the very first artists to be known outside of Scandinavia. A big hug from Norway, neighbour of Sweden.

The 70s was a great decade for music when music made in virtually any style could be and was a hit record. Many recording artists moved seamlessly between genres and the music was appreciated for the lyrics and instrumentation by the record-buying public. So many great riffs were born in the 70s and have been mercilessly sampled by lesser artists ever since.
The 70s saw the end of the folk renaissance and the psychedelic rock of the 60s. It was the era of glam, prog and punk rock, the birth of heavy metal, the age of disco and the beginnings of new romanticism but there was still room for old-fashioned pop ballads, soul, reggae and novelty songs (anyone remember David Bowie's The Laughing Gnome?). Musically, the 70s had something for everyone, as well as having some very dodgy clothing fashions.

ABBa are the biggest seeling group ever after the Beatles and they have a huge catalodue of hits. They had 9 number one songs here in the UK alone. many people have made suggestions below but if you want to see a very different side to them i have included a link to a live performance of two of their songs. One has one of the guys taking lead vocals and is more rock orietated I hope you enjoy it.

Oh, disco was awesome. I was a kid in the '70s (born in 1969) so I was too young to get into clubs, but I did do "roller-disco" at the roller skating rink. I talk about this a lot. It was fun. LOTS of great music to skate to. One of my favorites was "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen. Might be a good song to react to, if you haven't heard it yet.
