- Today is the day that we put my new Home Smoke Filtration System to the test! Join me, as I fire up my CamCleaner 2000 and light up my favorite cigar in the comfort of my living room! That’s right. I’m not smoking in a dedicated smoking room. I’m smoking right in the middle of my house in the living room. This system is that good!
This home smoke filtration system is the product of my obsession with smoking inside and collaboration with Camfil, the world-wide leader in complex, industrial air filtration solutions. I don’t think anything like this has ever been installed in a house before - at least, I don’t think anyone has been crazy enough to do it until now!

That's if he ran it for that long. So really when it comes down to it, it's not bad cuz its probably not gonna run longer than 300 hrs total in a year vs his example which was well past 3600 hrs

I agree with you, homes should have a smoke/ cigar room as you have designed. I think taller leather cigar chairs would look elegant in that space (maybe with a small vintage bar cabinet).
He shouldn't be smoking at all, especially inside.

@@gambrydew2059 thats why he installed the filtration system, it sucks out air from the room, creates negative pressure so theres no smoke leaving into the other rooms, theres only air coming in from other rooms

Also for the kids! - I am a non-smoker, bar an occasional self-chosen vice of cigars ofc - But I grew up in constant 2nd hand smoke and a scan for different things at age 28 (without ever having smoked more than 4-5 cigeretttes to try once), showed me my lungs were equivalent of having smoked 5/day for 10 years, just from 2nd hand smoke, with no voice in that matter.
I would go to lengths too to have a smoking room if i ever got a house, and take great care the same way as you did - Kudos, Kirby, please never stop what you do, love the clothing videos too!

Watching the journey to in-home smoking, I definitely plan on something to this level in the future. Only difference will be the smoking/whiskey lounge will be closed off, keep any future kids/teens out of things they shouldn't be in. But smoking indoors, especially in your own home, is true peace. Thankfully, my wife is fully on board with letting me have that room, long as she gets her own room for her hobbies as well

Nice job Kirby. I think the most appropriate furniture in your Smoking Room would be English Leather Chesterfields. In brown, red or green.... whichever suits your decor. Strong colours are a must.... give it the Gentleman's Club feel.

Congratulations on your at home smoke room! I'd love it if that were the start of the next big trend, so the rest of us could also enjoy the perfect at home environment for a perfect smoke. Personally, for the new chairs, I always love some boxed club chairs. You can have them tufted in leather for classic look with modern lines. Yes you can also choose to have them upholstered in fabric, but I would leave that choice to Mrs. Allison.

Living Vicariously through Kirby
Hi Kirby (also my surname) I own a whisky bar in Hanoi, Vietnam. I sell and smoke cigars in the bar, but over the years I’ve had grief from the wife as our home is directly above the bar in the same building and the smoke finds its way up. I’ve used draught excluder tape around the all the doors and the elevator but still it gets through. Needless to say to say the smoking inside the bar is now pretty much non existent. She’s away this weekend so rest assured the Ramon Allones specially selected will be taking a hit.

Literally watching while having a cigar outside in Texas! That wasn’t planned…this was the first recommended video.
It’s a sign… although, this is one of the rare moments where the weather is actually quite nice outside and the mosquitoes haven’t quite come back to life.
As an ardent admirer of London, I would suggest that a Chesterfield fauteuil would complement your aesthetic impeccably mr Alison.

Im not a welthy man by any means but i do save up and splurge on the simple things weather high end hand made leather boots. Wow! I started smoking cigars in the field in the Army. One of the small joys. Smoked indoors in a Cigar bar in Vegas. Never tried in the house. I'll have to clear it with the wife.

I looked into putting a smoking room into our house. We have 31 rooms and I was going to use a basement room since the floors are concrete. The ventilation is doable, but can you really get rid of all the smoke?? I’d likely vent outside. Construction on this house never ends, we’re redoing 9 bathrooms at the same time. It’s like living in a construction zone for the past 2 years… I loved the opening on this episode where the vent pipe ran in front of the carbon door. Yep… Familiar with those scenarios restoring a large historical home…. Always something 😳🙄

I am sitting outside, in the corner of my verandah. The weather is miserable, cold, rain hitting the roof making quite a noise. Why? Because I am enjoying this Davidoff Signature piece :)) - and smoking inside is not an option, residual odour will stay, I know this for sure. Having such smoke sucking system would be just great.. Well done, Kitby!
Did I miss the fashion boat? Why is the back of Kirby’s tie frequently longer than the front?
I'd say light cognac, tan or white leather cigar lounge style chairs would be good chair replacements, minimum shoulder height back of the chair. The dark chairs seems too dark for the whole room. I'd also suggest a airtight or near airtight container to keep the ash in after you empty the ashtray to help reduce the smell. can always use the ash in the garden as well. You may have one already, so if you do, ignore that bit. Great work and great videos.

Kirby, great video! I recently ordered and took delivery of a leather chair and ottoman from Wellington’s Fine Leather Furniture. Great Customer service, and many of the manufactures have plenty of styles, options like nails and seat cushion material. They are a buy it for life quality! Women owners if I remember correctly. My recommendation would to be go with two pairs of different styles. Not cheap, but quality never is!
