Superb restoration of a great toy, with working features. I didn't know those lowering tailgates had been around that long. A very common sight on local delivery trucks nowadays.
Joe, I used to do glass blasting a small items like this years ago. And I found that the most efficient way to get the job done was to the gun steady..... And slowly progress it across the surface (not shake it around). Just sayin'...
It's a beautiful rebuild I like the color of that blue. You are a punk one of your trucks out put your own designs on them just one of those old time trucks I would have been a nice one to put lights on
pretty color choice, nice job! I love watching videos like this... doesn't help that I remember when toys like this came out brand new either lol I'm almost 50 years old and remember these toys growing up... great god now I feel old, new sub!
Awesome restoration. Loving the color. You did a fantastic job. 🌲🎅🎁🤶🌲 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours. May 2022 be a better year. ❤😊
Beautiful restoration. Funny thing is it’s a FORD AND IT HAS A FLIP UP CAB TO SERVICE THE ENGINE! Kind of makes me weary of the FORD MOTOR COMPANY! Haha 😆
@@joe_diy no they were actually beastie old trucks they would take a beaten for sure there is an old commercial that if you bought one of those old Ford cab over trucks you would be able to purchase a 8n Ford tractor like $450.00 less than the regular price of one doesn’t sound like much by today’s standards you could. Probably buy the 8n tractor for like $2500.00 back then so it was a good marketing deal .....
I haven't been keeping up with much of this. Since I've been sometimes so crazy about Bob Denver trying out being a NASCAR pit crew member. "Why don't you drive this race car, Maryanne Somers, instead of me. I'll be one of your pit crew members."
Very nicely done. Looks better than new! I have a question for you. Are these toys all yours or do you restore for other folks? If they are yours and you don't sell them off. We'd love to see you're entire collection of all the toys you have restored. That would make for a great before & after video. Thanks for what you do. It's awesome work...
What no seat or steering wheel ,that's going to be hard to steer without a steering wheel & need a place to sit down especially to cover the engine & also should've put an extra wheel on the inside of the back axle on each side to make it a dually
Awesome color Joe DIY! Love the video!
You too :D I'm the new one on this. Hope i can because pro like you in future.
Wow ! so nice 😍 My christmas tree is ready and waiting for it 😎 . Excellent work !
Thanks! Might have to put it under my tree this year!
The blue metal flake really stands out, gives it a fresh sporty look, excellent restoration JoeDIY
Thanks! Turned out a little darker than I planned but I like it
@@joe_diy by any chance, could you do one restoration in a hammered paint job?
@@jamesalinio5277 possibly. I have an old battery tester I'd like to get to some day that has a hammered finish
You can put that one under my tree Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to you and your family. Big job👌👌👌👍👍👍🥂🥂🥂
FANTASTIC, Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
Merry Christmas!
Love it🧡 ...redo that wonky sticker though, promise me, because it's doing my head in 😁🧡

I'm glad you used safe hauling practices on those kegs, proper weight distribution is no joke.

⚜Ford's C-series model was the most emblematic model in terms of the cabin⚜.🤔

muy bonita la restauracion, pero las barandas de la carroceria quedaron al reves!!
Fantastic work Joe looks great..
Very nice, looks fabulous…..thanks again from South africa
Very nice. I like the metal flake paint vs. just plain blue. Some kid was thrilled to get that when it was new.
Really happy I went with the metal flake!

Looks great well done.

Haha they actually made the real version of this truck for over 30 years, Couldn't have been too terrible!

Looks nice, but the original flat blue would look more authentic. As is, looks like the inside of on oven or a no-stick pan. :)
Bonito.
Nylint and Tonka are not too dissimilar from each other; if one can be repaired, so can the other…
Nice resto of a well detailed model!
My favorite nylint!!! Can’t want to find one of my own! Nice work!!!
Nicely done on that old toy
Thanks!
