Hey everyone and welcome back to another restoration! In today's video I am restoring a classic 1950's Tonka Allied moving van. This thing was beat! Full of dents and a bad repaint, it needed a little love.

I think i'll paint that truck blue...oh and the tires too, blue tires are cool... and the bumpers and lights too, hmmm ah yes the windshield, eveyone likes a blue windshield.
A Single Red Balloon 😇
Nice
And you get blue paint and you get blue paint everybody gets blue paint -opera
Were you never a child?

Even your toy trucks looks like a real one. Great Restoration.
Я бы с удовольствием купил бы эту машинку для своей коллекции!👍👍👍👍
I'm glad you painted it back to it's original color 🍊 orange. The vintage Allied moving trucks of that era! Marvelous work.👍🙂 🚛
Is this truck for sale?
Somewhere in the family photos there's a picture from Christmas 65 or 66 with me proudly showing off that Tonka
Really nice! And orange! Yes, please! The blue paint job was ghastly!
I love these videos! It’s very satisfying to see something old and discarded become brand new again. I don’t know if this question has been asked in a different video, but what do you do with the restored toys? Do you sell them?
It’s amazing that these old toys are so easy to refurbish. The new toys are garbage.
It is very convenient to remove the old paint layer with sand gun, and it does not take much time to do !
Ajlb plan. ~
that great!
Wonderful work super like!
Your work never fails to impress me, and make me get off my ass and do something constructive. Just wish I had a bunch of old Tonka's in my back yard.
I'm from Kurdistan love you😘😘😘😘
Класс работа 👍оранжевый цвет ему лучше подходит, красивый грузовик
Nice job. I’ve never seen that Tonga before. The little trailer in the background looks interesting, will that be next. Where did you source the new windscreen from please. Thanks Stuart 🇦🇺 ps, I subscribed so I’m off to watch some more of your videos.👍
🎶 I'm blue, dabadee, dabadaaa... 🎶 😂
Hi my friend 👋👋👋 awesome restoration Tonka👍👍👍💣✌🏻🇷🇺
I thought that was one of the atlas moving trucks. Awsome job
Sure wish I had access to powder coating. My 60s VW Tanka has more runs, drips and errors from spray paint than the Detroit Tigers in a single season
Wow incredible. So fantastic. What an awesome job. Super nice. Take care, stay safe and well. ❤😺❤
Well done mate! Always enjoy your Work!
Me too !! The Moving Van looks so much better in the Original Orange 🍊 !!!
I could watch these videos all day, amazing! Great job!
Aí sim pronto pra ir pra transportadora pra fazer uma entrega 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I knew your sandblaster was in for a rough go of it with all that paint. How many parts did you have to order-out? The 50's look is so cool! Maybe highlight the tires!
É muito legal acompanhar todo trabalho e principalmente o resultado final. 🇧🇷
A lot of work. Good job! I am a collector. All of mine are unrestored originals. People don't realize the value of these. This is a 1958. The year I was born. Mint original could go for 1,000 bucks if it had the original box. Restored trucks are about half value. I have many '58s and earlier varieties. The Mighty Tonkas begining in late '64 are such eye candy in the man cave. Ignore the nit pickers. Cheers!
It’s so fantastic how you bring these memories back to life. 👍. So cool 😎
Overall, the video is good. I would have preferred, however, to paint it first with primer and then sand it with abrasive paper, since - especially in the trailer - you can see many imperfections. Even in the left part behind the cabin you can clearly see a bump, and it is a pity not to have it repaired. Maybe next time.
Nice video, it is great to see toys from our youth repurposed. I don't know how 332 people can give a thumbs down to this video. This is saving a part of Americana.
I have a general question is powder coating less expensive than spray painting I just haven't figured that out if you could help me that would be great also the powder coat that lands on the floor is just thrown away or is it reduced?
Id be interested in seeing how you tackled sandblasting the inside. Or the process you used the remove the rust efficiently . Thx G
Its actually not that interesting. I stick the Sandblaster gun in the end and just blast until I remove as much as possible then finish with steel wool and sandpaper. Takes a while.
I am glad that you guys are restoring these old relics. For those who are watching these, they didn't have any interiors for these trucks back then. When Tonka started doing smaller scale trucks, then they started installing interiors into the trucks.
Excellent job! You could have taken advantage and put a sticker on the channel logo, the trunk is quite big.
That’s awesome, love it 😊
Helo
Joe, you have delivered another awesome restoration! The paint job is beautiful again.
Well done
Like👍
Brilliant! What a beast of a truck. 👍👍👍
Very nice!! White letter tires would haves looked nice also imo, but beautiful job
Such a good looking truck now that’s ready for decades of play.
It might be useful to use a laquer-based clear coat to protect the stickers, and seal them to the metal.
Stunning, awesome work 👍🏻🔥🤘🏻
Unbelievable transformation, just decided to watch and I am now subscribed to your channel. Reminds me of what I did for a living. Automobile restoration. Thanks again excellent work.
Absolutely beautiful restoration!
What a beautiful restoration job you did, looks like it just came out of the box.
Excellent job as always, keep up the good work.
Did you make the rear doors and hub cap or purchase them? Awesome build!
Love It What A Great way to make money doing a hobby and having fun
Excellent work restoring an old classic. Much better than blue!
I love the video
Привет, отличная работа!😁👍
If this guy was an character in fallout 4 than you would probably drive more than walking
I 100% expected some sort of subscribe reminder when you opened the trailer at the end 🙂 great video, I really like that you retain as much of the original is possible (tires, etc) instead of replacing with all repops
Nice job worked for Allied from 1985 to 1995. But for time frame mid 1960's paint would have been grey on top and orange on bottom still had some old junk trucks in the yard from then. Love what you do
Better than factory-new!
It's awesome
Curious to know what you do with your finished restorations.
you did a great job restoring the moving truck.
I wonder if whoever painted it blue had a bad experience with that mover like we did when half my kids toys came up missing along with lots of other things. But you did a get job restoring the truck.
Muy buen trabajo, excelente los detalles del trabajo, quedo muy bonito el camión
What a bad modification repaint it had
Nice amigo😀👍
El Tongka Allen de 1950 es un poco viejecito, pero con un poquito de paciencia decapante aguarrás lija y una buena pintura lo dejara nuevo.
Excellent work. You give me a standard to work toward. Thanks.
What do you do with the carts after you restore them?
Good Restoration Done 👍
👏 👏
Thanks for bringing new life to this truck! Liked & Subscribed!!!👍👏
Excellent video & job restoring your Tonka Allied Moving Truck and trailer too!
We had one of these!! Sticker on the side said "#1" in front of ALLIED. I would like to have another as a memory piece. Great job!!!
I have the same truck unrestored. You did a good job. Where did you find the rear doors and decals.
Very nice job looks fantastic 👍🏼
Awesome
Eu amoooo! 💖🇧🇷
One word! SPECTACULAR!
So cool...where do you get the decals?
Another very good job Joe. This is certainly one of the best in my opinion
Amazing restoration job bravo!!!
That turned out great, thanks for posting.
Beautiful restoration all the way....one of your finest. Best wishes and stay healthy.
Бесподобно! Лайк!
Excellent! That blue paint job really looked tacky.
Well done my friend
Really awesome 💕😍😍🥰
Amigo, assistir os seus videos parece uma terapia. Ver um objeto destruído ficar impecavelmente novo, é muito legal. Parabéns
I got here late Joe, even have the bell set? Anyway, thank you for another great vid. Like I said the other week the vids are just getting better by the show!! Great job!!
Very impressive you are an artist
Looks fantastic - well done
Extraordinário

Beautiful restoration job.
Ficou perfeito🤓
Man what an awesome restoration!
Beautiful job.!!!!
Beautiful Moving Van.
Very nice
I had one of these as a kid and even painted it blue, I was very upset when my mom sold it at a yard sale for .50 cents. I would love to own one again.
Wow.Great job.
Amazing job 👍🏻👍🏻
Tremendous finish to a wonderful truck and trailer combo.
For all the clips you're doing, you should really get a pair of smooth flat nosed pliers (especially look after the ones that have a very sharp edge, as it makes sneaking the pair in under easier). If you want to drop the dough on a pair, look for knipex 38 190, at least to give you an idea of what i'm talking about.
Just ordered them! Thanks!
